The Bento Box is great,... If you don't mind a long wait with a rude server. I've been a few time and always had a long wait. If you see a blonde waitress, leave. She has a rude condescending tone and worse, she doesn't know what she's talking about. I sent a note to the office but they didn't seem to care. I'd skip this and head for one of the higher rated restaurants like 5 fusion, Kanpai or Shinshei. Or take your chances and add your one star review as well. read more

We decided to try Mio since they moved out of the cascade village shopping center and down to the Old Mill...Needless to say, we were not impressed. The server messed up our drinks, spilled several sauces on our table, was confused about which sushi we ordered, kept consistently bugging people for refills when they had already declined several times, and the flavor of the sushi just wasn't what we were used to or expected... There is TONS of places to eat in the Old Mill district, I would choose any of them before going back to Mio. If you are looking for good Sushi, I'd head somewhere else. read more

This was the worst Mio sushi I've ever been to. On a Friday night they were unprepared, understaffed, and scattered. We sat outside and we're not waited on for 30 mins then our sushi didn't come for one hour. All the tables around us were not bussed as well, not a good experience. I LOVE this place... and had become a regular bi-weekly spot for lunch with co-workers. So sad that they have removed the lunch menu and taking the under a $15. lunch with tip to a $20 plus lunch and not including tip. Please either bring back the lunch menu or do a Locals only. we left without ordering and then are canceling a lunch date with 5 co-workers on Thursday. I had enjoyed this restaurant when it opened in north bend. I was skeptical when I found out it was a different owner. Ive been there 3 times. Not great. Not horrible. Maybe they need a little more time to get it together. I loved the location but the food was just ok and the staff was decent but not overly friendly our helpful. This is a decent place to come if you are already at the mill district but I would recommend others in town for a destination meal. I'll check back next time we are in town. I'm a big sushi fan. It's not a big deal to me when sushi at a place that doesn't specifically serve sushi is sub par (California rolls at very American restaurants for example). There are plenty of Mio Sushis in Portland, so when I found this on the map, I expected it to be similar to the Portland locations. However, when I got here I was shocked at how different this location was. First of all, it's located in an outdoor shopping mall of sorts. The curb appeal is so so important. Of the 8 tables outside, all of them were not cleared unless they had people currently eating at them. We didn't wait very long for a table, which was nice. The staff was friendly but it took forever for us to order. We had to bring our menu in to the staff instead of them asking if we were ready, then we had to ask where our food was 45 min later. The waiters never checked on us or refilled water. One of us walked in to ask the hostess about our food, and she gave us our receipt. When the food finally came out, the presentation wasn't very nice and the food wasn't very good for a sushi restaurant. We did ask them to comp us for a meal, which they did and that was nice. Overall, the restaurant was okay if you're willing to wait for hours for 6 pieces of sushi. But the service was no good and the curb appeal made the restaurant look gross. I'm not one to be picky about everything, but the overall experience of this was below average. Will not be coming back. read more

We ate here the first time about 3 years ago and the service was awful, food mediocre. Went back tonight and had another disappointing experience. Not only did it take close to two hours to get our order, it was incorrect. Our waitress kept promising to get things, and failed to deliver. We were not even given chopsticks, silverware or napkins and had to track down wait staff for them. The only reason I gave one star is the staff were kind enough to deeply discount our experience. My fiance and I went here tonight for the first time and it was great! Saturday night early-ish dinner around 5:30pm -at this time of year. Great sushi -premium rolls, having the coco -sort desert-y roll at the end. Great service, not the "coziest" (the lighting could be better!), but it's fine; sat at the bar -would have been nice to have a more out-goingly friendlier sushi bar staff/chefs, but overall great sushi at normal sushi restaurant prices, great quality, and really superd tastes!! read more

Went here for dinner as we were staying @ the hotel right next to this restaurant and it was within walking distance & we love sushi! Unfortunately this sushi was awful! We have visited this restaurant quite often for decent and affordable sushi. Tonight the service was bad, and the food came out too fast- fast enough that you had to wonder if it was truly made to order. The tastes were really bland. Once she dropped the food at our table we never saw our waitress again, until she brought the bill. During that time we ate w/out plates and my tea needed a refill. It was definitely unfortunate. I asked for a comment card and they said they don't have any so here I am...left to comment for all the world to see! Our server, Olivia was amazing. She was very attentive to our table and had a very upbeat attitude. The other servers Mackenzie and Tabitha did a great job too. First of all I want to say that my boyfriend and I absolutely LOVE Mio Sushi! This is the only sushi place that we eat at in town and it won't change! We have always received great service from everyone, especially Kristin! The food is always amazing and it's an extremely comfortable environment! Even if you aren't a sushi lover, there menus accomade everyone so we can even invite our friends out with us that might not totally be in love with the sushi experience! If it's not the poor service, it's the quality of the food. I have been going to Mio Sushi for a few months and I have been a huge supporter in the past. I came in with my family and was politely seated by a very charming host. Our service was pretty average. It wasn't too busy. It was when the food started coming was when it got really awful. All of our sushi was delivered one plate at a time over the span of 10 minutes before any of our soups or appetizers. were. The rolls themselves were incredibly sloppy. They were not rolled tight and have really gone down in size. Considering the small size they had enough sauce for 10 rolls combined. The raw fish was half the size it usually was and was not fresh at all. We had no idea who our server was because all the food was delivered by a different person. We finished with our food and asked our server for our check. They were unaware that we had even gotten half of our food and they thought we were still waiting on food. It was ridiculous. I am glad to say I will not be returning to Mio Sushi. There are plenty of other Asian places to eat in town that everyone should really check out. I hope the food gets better, but I will not be there to see it. read more

This is my favorite sushi restaurant in Bend. It is kid friendly, affordable, and has a nice atmosphere. I had a great experience from waiter Nathan who provided fast service with a smile and a laugh. He shared tips on excellent rolls. I am a very new sushi eater and I have been impressed by the freshness. Lots of good choices for sushi and also, lots of dishes for non-sushi eaters. It did take awhile to get our food, however I was there at lunch on Friday. I was seated right away and the staff was great about water refills etc...
