So the line wasnt too bad. There was at least 8 people outside. They make you wait outside while 1 or 2 people look at the pastries to order. It gives the customer time to look at the options since they dont have the kind of pastries they have listed on the menu. It took me 12 minutes from lining up to getting my drinks and leaving. Sesame einspinner was amazing. It reminds me of the sesame soup but with cream on top. Matcha cloud was also good. Didnt taste like dirt. Would come back for sesame though. My favorite pastry would be the kouign awann. It was sweet and flakey. The top part looked like cheese but it kinda had a creme bruele taste. I got the garlic butter because i thought the pieces inbetween were butter but it was cream cheese. I wasnt a fan because i dont like cream cheese but im sure others would love it. I wanted the blue berry bagel but it was prestuffed with cream cheese. So as a cream cheese avoider there was less options to choose from. It felt like alot of their pastries come with cream cheese or cheese. So if you like more savory pastries or love cheese and cream cheese, this is the place for you. Pastries are also pretty pricey. I spend 40 something for 3 pastries and 2 drinks.
One of my all time favorite bakeries. I've been here several times for their excellent matcha and unique bagels and other pastries. When they first opened, I lined up for around 45 minutes to order. They handed out umbrellas and the owner was always present to greet people and talk about the bakery. Just one indicator of the great service! They are incredibly attentive and welcoming at this bakery and the workers are great at giving recommendations and advice. In terms of the food, you really can't go wrong with any of the bagels. Every one I've tried has been excellent! The green onion has cream cheese with a green onion rim on a sesame bagel. The mango bagel is also tasty and not too sweet, the mango cream cheese is very fresh and light. The pecan bagel is one of my favorite sweet ones, super tasty with the nuts and sweet cream cheese. Their drinks are also an absolute highlight! The matcha is so high quality and they hand whisk it right in front of you. The tea flavor is super strong, not milky at all. They also have an amazing hojicha. Highly recommend this place! The wait is worth it and not too bad on weekdays or mornings. Great place to explore the rest of Pasadena as well.
Honestly one of the best bagels I've had. It was so soft and rich in flavor. My friend had the Mexican street corn one and he enjoyed it thoroughly. The staff is super nice and patient with you when you're unsure of what to get. The line gets super long but it moves pretty quickly. They're also constantly baking and restocking so you'd definitely be able to try everything. They're also usually stocked with so much stuff so you'd never miss out! I've also had their maple croissant and butter croissant on a separate occasion which was very delicious. Definitely worth it!
I'm usually skeptical of places that blow up all over social media, but Miopane deserves the attention. - Black sesame bagel: layered with black sesame paste and cream cheese inside. Slightly sweet, nutty, with a nice tang from the cream cheese. The bagel itself was soft and chewy, but not in that classic NYC-style way - it had its own softer texture that I really enjoyed. I do wish it had more black sesame filling. - Almond croissant: their version has a ton of chopped almonds on top, which gives it a great crunchy texture, though there's less almond paste in the middle compared to other ones (e.g., CAR) Despite being busy, service was efficient and the staff gave great recommendations. Parking in downtown Pasadena can be challenging, but going early helped.
Finally got to check this place out! Go here when you're not in a rush because you will definitely be waiting in line. On weekends expect at least a 30 min wait. It's a pretty small place but they did an amazing job at keeping up with the crowds and having all their best sellers throughout the day. Spoke with the team leader as well, Austin, you can tell he's very passionate about what he does and actually cares about the community thinks about his business and staff. The matcha here is amazing too, good quality and not just relying on the strawberry to carry it. If you've been interested in this spot i'd recommend checking it out.
This bakery pops! Located in old town Pasadena, it has some of the best bagels! We really enjoyed their garlic butter cream cheese bagel. That was so good warmed up. Their other options were also great, but that one stood out the most. The coffee was also a good option. The line wasn't too bad, just bring an umbrella because you're right under the sun.
My husband and I had been wanting to try Miopane for a while and we finally made it out on a Tuesday afternoon! For our first visit we got the blueberry croissant, matcha crumble, chocolate croissant, and the roasted tomato with herbs and cheddar bagel - and everything was pretty good for the most part since you can taste the quality and I loved all the flavors. My personal favorites were the blueberry croissant and the chocolate croissant. The blueberry croissant was delicious and not too sweet, which I appreciated, and the chocolate croissant had an amazing filling that literally left me wanting another one immediately. The girl who helped us was super sweet, especially knowing it was our first time there since that kind of service always makes a difference. The one thing I'll note is that it's on the pricier side since 4 pastries ran us about $31. But if you're okay with the splurge, the quality is there. We'll definitely be back!
The hype was warranted. We definitely ordered with our stomachs cause we came here on a whim after Pilates. But, everything we got was tasty. My favorite was the garlic one because you could taste the real spiciness of the garlic - 11/10. If you don't like garlic or are a vampire, I would not recommend because it's potent. The everything and egg croissant was my next top choice - 11/10 rating for it too. We also tried the strawberry shortcake and Mexican elote which were both good - 9/10 for me. For drinks, I got the matcha latte which you can actually taste the quality of the matcha in it. One family sitting near us told us the scallion bagel is the best one which we didn't order but it's definitely going to be one I try next time I'm back. The spot itself doesn't have much seating inside so you need to be lucky to catch someone leaving to get a seat inside. But even when we got a seat, since it's so small, I was extremely overstimulated with the amount of people waiting everywhere and how loud it was inside. All free space inside was being occupied by people waiting for drinks. When waiting in line outside before getting inside, one of their staff did bring umbrellas out for everyone to help with the sun which was nice. The line moved fairly quick when we were in it and I'd wait the same amount of time again to get these pastries. Parking is street and there's paid garages nearby too.
Stopped by during a weekday and wow... walked out feeling like my wallet took a hit. Only picked up two items and it definitely adds up quick here to treat ourselves to something special! Tried the tiramisu croissant, and it was deliciously dense! You can literally see all the crossiant layers with a giant chocolate and cream in the middle. It's as if almost like you're being charged per quality layer. It was super rich and decadent, to the point where I had to save it for another meal! Also got the matcha crumble bagel. The bagel itself had a nice chewy texture, pretty solid, and the matcha filling also leaned a bit thick and chalky, and on a sweet side. They've got a ton of interesting and exotic bagel options, which is fun to see, and I ended up sticking with something more familiar anyway. I'll probably come back if I'm in the area to show a friend for something different, and I'm glad I tried it!
Came here on a Saturday with my little sister after a long hike. We were exhausted and hungry, so we decided to stop here. The line was out the door, and we waited about 15 minutes to get inside to order. The wait went by faster than I expected. The owner, or one of the staff members, was at the doorway greeting people and making conversation. He was very kind and eager to talk about the food and the establishment. He informed me that these are Taiwan-style bagels. I ordered the sour cream and onion bagel and a chocolate croissant, and my sister ordered the garlic bagel and the strawberry and cream bagel. The sour cream and onion bagel was actually super good! The bagel was good quality and very soft, and the bagel had a nice balance of sour cream and onion flavor. The croissant on the other hand was a bit dry and had waaaay too little chocolate. I actually didn't even eat it and gave it away. My sister didn't like her garlic bagel and said it was too garlicky and salty. She really loves the strawberry bagel and said she would come back just for that. For the 4 items, it was about $32. It comes out to about $8 for each item. That's honestly not that and if you're just coming in for a quick breakfast. The bagels are pretty huge and packed with cream cheese, so $8 for one of them doesn't seem that bad. I wouldn't pay $8 for the croissant though. While the man in front talking to people was nice, the rest of the staff inside serving the bagels and ringing customers up were not. They were very impatient, kind of rude, and seemed overwhelmed by the line. When I was checking out, I saw one staff member eye the line out the door, and then he rolled his eyes and looked like he wanted to sigh. There's also very little seating. Especially with their lines, you have to fight for a seat if you wanna dine in, which is not a pleasant experience. Their bathroom is nice, clean, and spacious. All in all, I wouldn't come back to eat. I can make my own bagels at home. While these were a good deal after a long hike, I wouldn't go out of my way to eat these bagels again. Especially the sour cream and onion. It was tasty, but it was just an onion bagel with chive cream cheese--something easy I can make at home. Perhaps I'd come back just to get my sister one of the strawberry bagels.
Tried out this trendy, new Taiwanese bagel shop for the first time last weekend. Showed up at 8:40am and the line was already out the door and around the corner. Smh. . Parking in the area was also tricky, which was a shock for me especially it being before 9am on a Sunday. Luckily, the line moved quickly and I was able to be helped within 6 min or so. I chose 3 different stuffed bagels which were the blueberry and cream (my fave), sesame with gouda (very salty), and the almond croissant. Forgot to order a matcha but will try the next time. Cost about $22 total. Service was fast and friendly.
4.5 stars rounded down to a 4. Finally gave in to the social media hype and came to try these bagels! On a Sunday afternoon, the wait wasn't so bad, maybe 10-20 minutes. I do like that there is a sign that stops you until you are called & someone to manage the line (unfortunately not many people read the sign). It's very busy inside and there's not much space so maybe somewhere in the future (after the hype dies down) additional outdoor seating would be nice. There's only really one table inside and a lot of foot traffic well... everywhere inside, which basically surrounds it. All of the employees were incredibly friendly and helpful, especially for first time customers. The line moves pretty quickly and everything is labeled so you can see what's available. Water was offered during the wait also, which is always a plus! BAGELS: Jalepeno W Sharp Cheddar (5/5): This was SOOO good and especially fresh! My favorite bagels are jalapeno and cheese so this may be biased but this was seriously one of the best I have ever had. Sour Cream & Onion (5/5): Straightforward. Not too salty, fresh onions inside and a generous amount of cream cheese on perfectly toasted bagels. IMO perfect balance of flavors I could have asked for based on its name. Matcha Crumble (4/5): If you're a matcha lover you'll love this crumble! Well flavored without being too sweet or dry. Strawberry Shortcake (4/5): My least favorite out of the four we tried, one of them had to be. Still very yum, especially for a sweet tooth who likes strawberry shortcake cookies! DRINKS: Matcha Pillow (5/5): Oouuu happy to report the matcha is rich and smooth here - I think ours could have been a tad sweeter. Hojicha Pillow (5/5): Waiting to see if this was a one off but my drink was superr sweet compared to the matcha one haha. But once iced down it was great. Loved the flavored cream! Small cup but not too much ice, fair pricing. Beautiful presentation! Will definitely be back to try more items on the menu (Black Sesame, Egg Croissant, Cranberry Cream Cheese, Garlic Bagel, etc); given it's virality it speaks for itself Miopane is definitely a great addition to the area! read more
this place got really hyped up through social media but it did look good so I decided to check it out. be warn that the line was extremely long, I think the wait was probably around 45 minutes to an hour. I got three bagels, one cinnamon roll, and two of their Matcha lattes. There's not much seating inside or outside of the bakery so this place is more of a to go place. In all honesty, I did like the cheddar jalapeño bagel, but I wouldn't wait an hour to get it because while it was good, I feel like you can get something very similar at a regular bagel shop. I'm not too big of a fan of sweet bagels so the sweet milk crumble and the blueberry bagel weren't my favorite but my bf liked them. The bagel is really soft and you can't tell that it was baked fresh, but I think waiting an hour for fresh bagels isn't worth it to me personally. Their cinnamon roll is good but it didn't taste any different than a regular cinnamon roll. I do have to say that this one was really big so it would be easier to consume this if you shared it amongst two or three people. We also got two Matcha lattes: matcha pillow and matcha einspanner. These drinks were good, but they weren't unique or different. The Matcha pillow tasted very similar to the Matcha einspanner and again I wouldn't wait an hour for this. Overall, I can understand why people are crazy about this bakery because aesthetically it's cute and they offer different flavors than your typical bagel shop, but I would only come back if the weight wasn't an hour. read more
Finally came to try their bagels after hearing all the hype about it on social media. I parked a few blocks down since parking can be tricky in Pasadena. There was already a line at 9am and the sun was out. An employee handed it white paper parasols for us to block the sun which was very considerate! The storefront is pretty small with limited seating inside. They call you to the counter when it's your turn to order. The selection of bagels and pastries are right in front behind the glass so you can see they're all very fresh. They make the drinks to order as well. I tried a few of their savory bagels: sour cream and onion, garlic cream cheese, jalapeño cheddar, and tomato basil. Each was around $7 which is kind of pricey. They were all softer than the usual bagel. Favorite was the garlic cream cheese- very strong garlic flavor! We also tried the matcha cloud ($6.75) for a pretty small cup to be honest. The matcha was very strong at half sweet. It was worth trying but probably wouldn't get again. Staff was great overall and the wait was only 40 min in total. There is no limit on how many items you can get. read more

Returned again because I wanted to try more bagel flavors and the line moves faster now! And there's no limit on bagels! They have a better system in place and it's evident in how quickly things flow. I came around 8:30 am on a Friday and had my bagels in hand by 8:45 am. This time I tried the black sesame, onion, strawberry, matcha crumble, and jalapeño cheese. Wow. Everything was incredible but the matcha crumble and black sesame were sooo unique in the bagel scene. Most bagels were warm coming right out of the oven and I think if you're eating there, they can also heat it up for you. So glad this is in Pasadena and I can't wait to come back and try their drinks next time! read more
My second time here. This time I was able to order more items than the first time because they ran out almost everything on the first time. My most favorite was almond croissant. The popular garlic cream was good but garlic flavor was a bit too much that you can feel spicy from just only one bite and I love garlic personally so don't get me wrong but garlic was way too strong. Strawberry matcha bagel looked good but the taste was just ok. Everything & egg breakfast was nice but the egg yolk was over cooked for me. My coffee einspanner was great because it was perfectly balanced with cream and sweetness. read more
Good textured bread. For example, one of the bagels we had actually had the cream cheese kneaded into the bagel and the portion is quite large. It's debatable whether or not it's worth the price point or the wait though. I do recommend trying it at least once, but I'm not sure if I'm quite sold on waiting in line to have this again, plus this is very much a grab and go situation given there isn't much seating. Maybe if the hype slows down a bit in a few months, if it does. Also, the matcha is quite solid and flavorful in their drinks too. But to buy the drinks, you have to wait in line as part of the bread line to get before you can order the drinks at the very end with the cashier. While I get it might get hectic, if they had more of a kiosk ordering system, I could see a world where maybe they could even have a separate line for drinks only because the drinks are pretty solid and could easily be a standalone item to sell. I stopped by Miopane in Pasadena on a Tuesday afternoon and was honestly surprised by how long the line was about 25 minutes. It definitely speaks to how popular they are. I tried the garlic cream cheese bagel and the jalapeño croissant. Both were good, fresh. The prices felt pretty steep though ( garlic cream cheese bagel was $8 and the jalapeño croissant was $7, which adds up quickly for baked goods) read more
Miopane definitely lives up to the hype, though I'm not sure I'd wait 1 hour and 15 minutes on a Saturday morning again. We got in line around 8am, and by the time we walked out with our goodies it was close to 9:30am. Since the sun was directly in our faces, it was a thoughtful gesture that the owner passed out small white paper umbrellas to share and protect everyone from the UV rays. On the day we visited, there was a five bagels limit. Since we were also picking up items for friends, my husband and I decided to tag-team our orders. We grabbed a variety of items including the green onion croissant, cranberry bagel, tomato bagel, jalapeño bagel, breakfast sandwich, and egg Danish. Once we got home, we popped everything into the air fryer for a few minutes and they were all fantastic. Our favorites were definitely the green onion croissant and the cranberry bagel. I love that the bagels already come filled with cream cheese. The bagels are bouncy, fluffy, and feel more like a cross between a bagel and a soft bun. I'd love to come back to try flavors like garlic, matcha, and black sesame, but since everything sells out so quickly, you never quite know what you'll end up with. Hopefully a weekday visit is in my future. read more
Miopane is so great and im glad they opened in Pasadena. I went around closing time but there was still a line as I got there. I got the mango cream cheese bagel which held its soft texture overnight. I also got the black sesame and matcha crunch bagels for my family which they enjoyed. The ambiance is nice and clean- very modern. read more
I finally visited Miopane and it definitely lived up to the viral hype! If you are visiting and expecting a traditional New York bagel, think again-these are Taiwanese style, which are incredibly soft, pillowy, and generously stuffed. We tried several bagels and loved the variety, though the creme cheese with garlic butter was a bit of a surprise. It had a spicy garlic kick that was quite intense that left a garlic taste in your mouth. Bagels are little pricey at around $7-$8 per bagel, but for the quality and unique flavors, it's worth it. Don't skip on the their drinks, the Matcha Einspanner was great ( I only wish it came in a larger size). I will definitely return to try other bagel flavors and drinks. read more
Came in around 1pm on a Wednesday and lucked out with only a 5 minute wait. It looked like I had just missed the main rush since they were out of most items. Luckily the one bagel I wanted was still available. I ordered the sour cream and onion cream cheese bagel, which was decent but didn't totally wow me. I'd give it about a 3/5. Some of the burnt onion bits on top were extremely hard, almost like chewing on little pebbles. Customer service was really good. Everyone I interacted with was still upbeat and kind despite how busy it had been. The interior is pretty small and cramped, and an extra register would definitely help speed things up. Metered street parking is limited in that area. I'd still plan to come back to try more of their other items once the hype dies down a bit. read more
Miopane makes some really good stuff. The sesame bagel was excellent, and the mango cheese bagel was a nice surprise--sweet but balanced. The milk custard buns were also very good and definitely worth trying. The Spanish latte tasted good, but the cup was pretty small for the price, which was a bit disappointing. Also, be prepared to wait on Sunday afternoons--the place gets busy, and a lot of the popular bagels were already sold out when we arrived. Overall, great flavors, just wish there were more varieties to try out and the drink size was more reasonable. read more

We only waited about 15 mins in line to get these delicious bagels! We got a couple to eat fresh and some to bring home. I tried the green onion cream cheese, jalapeño cream cheese, tomato basil and cheese, everything bagel, garlic cream cheese, and a blueberry croissant. Of all the items I've tried, my favorite has to be the jalapeño cream cheese. It was the freshest of the bunch and it was still steaming when I bit into it. The bagel is nice and fluffy inside with a slight crunch on the outside. I love that everything is included once you bite into the bagel. I also tried the hojicha and it was way too sweet for me my liking. Skip the drinks and get the bagels. They are very pricey and run about $7 each bagel. read more
Came on a whim on a Wednesday at 8:30am. Merely waited 15mins which isn't bad one bit. They have a organized operation where you wait for an employee to order your goodies, similar to portos but less chaotic. You add drinks at the one register and pay. Ambiance was interesting. Simple clean wood. Noticed a basket of umbrellas (wonder what these are used for or maybe just decor) and industrial looking ceiling. Giant table and bar tops but didn't see many just hanging out. Seemed like that space was used by people waiting for drink orders. Goodies were divine. Prices are typical these days everywhere. I'd return but impatient to wait beyond 15mins. I heard wait can be way longer so be prepared but as many said, definitely soft and fluffy and pure deliciousness! I am a big fan of black sesame and this one so yummy! Husband thoroughly enjoyed the blueberry croissant. Kids devoured the matcha crumble and strawberry shortcake. And we shared the massive sticky bun. This was a hit or miss between the fam. Parking around isn't too difficult to find in the area. Definitely worth a visit. read more
A little on the pricey side for bagels but I mean, it's California, so I get it . I stopped by around 4PM and there was no line, which was a nice surprise. Not gonna lie, the bagels all looked amazing. I'd definitely be open to coming back and trying a different flavor next time before making a final call. The ambiance is cool lots of seating and a clean, modern vibe. Service was good and the staff were friendly. It does have that trendy, aesthetic coffee shop feel that's popping up everywhere lately. Whether that's your thing probably depends on what kind of vibe you're into. Overall, solid experience. I might give it another shot with a different bagel. read more
On social media, I heard about Miopane's "Taiwanese-style" bagels and their maple green onion croissants, and it caught my attention. The restaurant had their soft opening at the beginning of the month and the buzz from this place has been crazy. For this reason, we woke up early to be there when they opened at 8am. I arrived at 7:45 to a line of about 30 people waiting for the opening. As we approached the restaurant, there was the inviting smell of butter, that beckoned to us from down the street. The wait was significant and they were constantly restocking their breads. What brought us here was the possibility of trying their maple glazed green onion croissant. Was a little worried as they were not in stock when we came in at 8:15; however, we noticed that they restocked it as we approached the register and we snagged one that was still warm from the oven. This is the thing to get here as it's savory, creamy from cheese, and mildly sweet from the caramelized maple on the croissant. It was the best bite of the morning; however, unfortunately, they sell out faster than they can restock it. We also got a pesto ricotta chorizo croissant, which reminded us of a pizza, and it was also pretty good. I definitely wanted to try their bagels. My wife got black sesame, which she enjoyed. I got a gouda everything bagel, which was lightly filled with cheese. The bagels are served whole and they have a good chew and bite; however, what's unique about them is that it seems that all of their bagels have some sort of sweet, savory, or cheesy filling. The good thing is that, unlike many places, they put the perfect amount of filling, and it was pretty well balanced. The bagels were good, but what I highly recommend from here is the maple green onion croissant. I probably won't come back until the hype dies down a little, as there's no guarantee that I'll be able to get what I'm looking for if I make the long drive here and I wait 30+ minutes. read more

i am so happy i finally took the time to head over to Pasadena on the weekends & try out Miopane!! what an amazingly unique bakery! i stopped by around 10:30am during the weekend and the line outside was not bad at all. it was moving, they have a menu of their drinks in front of the door and a lovely gentleman who would greet us at the front door! when you walk inside the bakery you first order your bagels! i got myself the Mexican street corn bagel and my my was it heaven in oozing in my mouth!! a Mexican street corn bagel is soo creative! i was so excited to try i completely forgot to take a photo! they also have sweet bagels instead of savory & i muuust try their sweet bagels next time! i loooveee their matcha einspanner!! the matcha was sooo good!!! it was nice watching the girl make the matcha while waiting outside in the line. 10/10 a must try if you are in the Pasadena area! read more
I've been wanting to try Miopane for ages now since I saw it blow up on social media. I finally found the time to try it on a Wednesday afternoon at 1pm. It's a pretty big spot for a bakery. There's paid parking on the side of the street but beware that the ones directly next to the store is 15 minutes only and requires payment. They manage their traffic very well! There's a sign posted in front of the door that lets you know that you have to wait until someone calls you over to take your order. There's a transparent glass that displays all the pastries they have available. My group unfortunately did go too late and they were sold out of their most popular items. I order 6 pastries and the total came out to be about $50. The woman that helped us out was so nice and patient as we were deciding what we wanted to order. The pastries that I got to try were green onion sour cream bagel, matcha crumble, tiramisu crossiant, blueberry crossiant, and roasted tomato with herbs and cheddar. Ratings: Roasted Tomato with Herbs and Cheddar (8/10): This one tasted like a pizza! There's a combination of sundried tomatoes and fresh tomatoes along with baked in cheese in the middle. This one would be a get again for sure. Tiramisu Crossiant (7/10): There's a brownie in the middle with some sort of chip mixed in! That was a surprise! This one was definitely on the sweeter side for sure. The portion of the crossiant to the brownie was perfect and this one was definitely my favorite. Green Onion Sour Cream Bagel (6/10): I wouldn't get this if you can't brush your teeth after eating. There's 3 big chunks of roasted garlic embedded into the green onion sour cream which was a surprise. You definitely need to like green onions a lot to be able to enjoy this. Matcha Crumble (5/10): This one was said to be a popular one. This was a bagel form where they incorporate matcha into the bagel itself and also fill it with a matcha paste. The paste does have a powdery texture, almost reminds me of a red bean bun from a Chinese bakery. I personally have texture issues so this wasn't enjoyable for me. Blueberry Crossiant (5/10): The cream made the crossiant in the middle very soggy. This one was definitely on the tart side. The blueberries weren't really sweet and I wish there was more flakiness to the crossiant. read more

I don't care how long the line gets, I'd still happily wait for that jalapeño cheddar bagel. It's packed with gooey melted cheese inside, little pops of jalapeño, and a crispy cheese crust on the outside. So good. My husband loves their sweet milk crumble. It reminds him of the soft bread we used to get as kids freshly baked from the panaderia back home. Warm, fresh and comforting. I also tried the matcha pillow and hojicha einspanner. Thanks to the reviews here, I ordered them half sweet and honestly, half sweet is still pretty sweet! Friendly staff, efficient service, and excellent bagels. Definitely a spot I'll keep coming back to. read more
Overall experience: 3.5/5 My friend and I got here shortly before they opened this past Saturday and the line was about 50 ppl long already. The line moved slowly and about an hour into waiting, the owner/manager (?) came out to address the line of ppl about the long wait, potential items not being available, and encouraging ppl to come back another day. That being said, I don't think anyone left the line given how long we all were waiting already. They offered hot water to anyone waiting in line which was nice. I waited about 1.5 hours. INSANE, I know. Catching up and waiting in line with my friend helped pass the time. Here is what I ordered and tried during this visit: Matcha Einspanner: barely tasted any matcha, had a chalky look to it, and was very milky. Do not recommend. Whipped Cream Cheese with Garlic: If you like the taste of raw garlic, this is the bagel for you. It was incredibly garlicky and spicy. Mints recommended after eating this. Everything and Egg Breakfast Danish: Flavorful and tasty especially if you like pesto. The egg yolk has the consistency of a boiled egg and was not runny at all. This would have been really good if it was warm. Jalapeno Sharp Cheddar bagel: This was probably my favorite of all the items I tried. A little spicy with the jalapenos but balanced well with the cream cheese on the inside. Burnt Onion with Cream Cheese bagel (not pictured): At first bite, I was not a fan but I took it home to warm up and it wasn't too bad with the cream cheese mixture on the side. Since availability of specific items at time of ordering varied, I was not able to try everything I wanted to which is inevitable given the popularity of this place. Was it worth the 1.5 hour wait? I saw this place online and happened to be in Pasadena early on a Sunday morning. There was already a line out the door before 8:30am. Luckily the wait didn't feel too bad. It was about 30 minutes to get to the counter to order, plus another 10 minutes to wait for the drinks. I got a few flavors of the savory bagels that were available. They were out of about 18 other flavors so it is limited to what they have available at the time when it's your turn to order. A staff mentioned the garlic bagel is usually available later in the day as it takes longer to make that kind. The bagels were warm, flavors exactly as described, and you can tell they use quality ingredients. I'm not a fan of sweets but even their pecan roll blew me away. It was very moist and not too sweet. The tiramisu croissant, mushroom croissant, and roasted tomato with herbs and cheddar bagel are a must! You can't go wrong with any of their baked goods though. They were all amazing!! Their drinks though, I would skip. I tried the strawberry matcha and mocha but both were not to my liking. The strawberry in the matcha was similar to a very sweet strawberry jam, the matcha had a slight grey hue and matcha flavor was barely there. The mocha mediocre, it was very basic. read more
I think I hit the jackpot when I visited Miopane last Sunday with my friend, as the line wasn't bad at all! We got there around 10ish and only had to wait around 20 mins before getting to the front of the line. The line moved pretty quickly and the fact that they gave you umbrellas to cover the sun while waiting was such a big plus! They have a huge selection of bagels to choose from, both savory and sweet options. I told myself that I would only get 2 bagels, but I was so overwhelmed with the amount of choices, so I ended getting 4. Here are what I got: Cranberry Cream Cheese Bagel Burnt Onion Cream Cheese Bagel Green Onion Croissant Green Onion Sour Cream Bagel Can you tell I have a huge obsession with green onion? Ahaha my fav was the green onion croissant! So flaky and oniony! The green onion sour cream bagel was such an interesting flavor profile, as they went hard with the onion! I was so spicy, but like onion spicy. The cranberry was amazing!! The bagels are pretty dense in general and they have amazing dough! The cream cheese filling isn't overfill, but perfect for my taste! I also got super lucky with parking!! Got free street parking around the corner! Came here Tuesday around 11am and there was about 7 people in front of me. Luckily the line went by quickly and it took about 15 minutes to get in line, order, and also get my drinks. For the pastries, I ordered the black sesame cream cheese, garlic cream cheese, green onion croissant, and blueberry croissant. My favorites were the garlic cream cheese and green onion croissant! The garlic was strong but delicious and the green onion croissant was very unique to me. I also got the hojicha pillow and matcha pillow. They were good but a little too sweet for me and the cups were kind of small for the price. For 4 pastries and 2 drinks it came out to $48. A little pricey but it was a nice experience. I would come back for the savory pastries! read more
Growing up means... spending 120 bucks on bagels. Lol! Really creative bagels with some innovative flavors. The line at 730 am was impressive. Each bagel averaged around 7 bucks. Definitely scored some major points with the team of carbo-holics in my office! read more

Visited yesterday. Arrived around 8:10am and there was a line. It wasn't super long, but it still took a long time. While waiting, I noticed that they were putting up names for the bagels. At first, they only had one gal taking orders. A guy staff came out later (possibly the owner) assisted me. Ordering process was quick since you basically go from one end to the other. I chose and asked questions as I browsed. He was nice and patient. Placed my items on the tray. He recommended the coffee and a savory one. I got it. I didn't see the tomato or the pesto nor the green onion croissant. He told me that it was sold out and that they will have more coming out later. He didn't rush me. I didn't take long anyways since I saw the line got longer. Exactly how good customer service should be. Customers waited patiently to order so staffs should be patient as well. Kudos! I then proceeded to checkout. They wrapped each bagel/croissant individually and placed it in the bag. That took up some time, but neat. Was out prob around 8:50am. We got a total of 5 bagels and 1 original croissant. Will be back for the savory ones. I guess it is best to go a little later so everything would be available. I really wanted to try the tomato one. Oh well. The matcha bagel was good. A must get!! We enjoyed it so much. Prob the best outta all the bagels we got. Mango was ok. It was nice to see some mangoes inside w/cream cheese. Very little cream cheese tho. Bread was chewy and fluffy. It wasn't dry. I honestly thought the cream cheese would have a mango flavor..would be nice. Sweet milk bagel was nothing special, imo. The top was tasty. The inside was more air than the sweet cream? I bought the other 3 for someone special. So didn't get to try. Overall, I will come back to try other flavors. read more
We were excited to try this new Taiwanese bakery that came to our attention via an influencer video, however we were a bit disappointed. We arrived in line at 7:40AM on a Thursday and ordered our bagels at 8:40AM. We were lucky enough to nab a seat at the center table and share 5 bagels among three of us. The bagels were dense not airy as shown in the video. The "cheesy" bagels were not cheesy at all. No cheese pull, but instead just an uneven chunk of cheese stuffed in the middle. The bagels ranged between $6.75 and $7 Double Cheese - This was so flat, no cheese pull and a big disappointment. It was supposed to be sharp cheddar and provolone but didn't taste that at all. Felt under cooked Everything Gouda - Better than the double cheese. The gouda was soft, but not amazing Tomato Basil - Very pizza-eque and standard. Jalapeño Cream Cheese Croissant. - My favorite since it was the only one that was actually warm. The top of the croissant had great seasoning. Burnt Onion - My friends favorite for the flavor for hard hitting garlic. These bagels were served room temperature and honestly, the mom and pop bagel shops are way better when toasted. The texture, temperature and use of cheese did not hit and it felt like the influencer was made a special batch. OR we were unlucky to experience a bad batch on this particular day. Service was exceptional. Staff took the time to give out fancy boxes for big orders and asked about our plans for the day. However, for the bagels themselves, it's not worth the wait. read more

I recently took my kids to check out Miopane, and wow this place is no joke. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious, and honestly, it was hard to pick a favorite. I ordered the bagel with cream cheese and garlic butter, and if you're a garlic lover, this is definitely the one to go for. It's packed with flavor rich, savory, and unapologetically garlicky in the best way. The kids went for the tiramisu croissant and a cinnamon roll, and both were incredible. I had a bite of each, and they were just as good as they looked soft, flavorful, and perfectly indulgent. You really can't go wrong with anything here. For drinks, I tried the iced coffee einspänner, and my teen got the matcha einspänner. Both were fantastic. I'm usually not a matcha person, but even I have to admit it was surprisingly delicious. We were actually walking around Old Town a few weeks ago when we noticed a new coffee/bakery shop opening up. Next thing I knew, saw an IG post indicating that it was actually a Taiwanese bagel shop. Decided to check it out as we were going to be in Old Town. Arrived at around 0745 to see a line about 20 people deep. As they are still sort of in a soft opening phase, the doors didn't actually open until around 0810. Word of caution as the line moves pretty slow as there were only 2 staff members helping customers with baked items and only 1 cashier that places each item into a bag. They are currently limiting each guest to only 1 of each item but you are allowed to purchase as many baked goods as you like. To keep the display case filled, they do take time to restock with freshly baked items. As I was heading to my parents, I ended up buying a variety of items for us to try (mix of sweet and savory bagels and danishes). Can't remember all of them items I purchased but there were definitely some really good and some mediocre items. Will definitely be back as we truly enjoyed the chewiness of the bagels especially when warm. read more
Since this place is trending rn, there was a line and I waited about 20-30 mins. There's only one cashier, which probably adds to the wait. The inside is small but modern, with a long table to eat at. Not all the flavors were available since they sell out pretty fast. Ratings - Matcha Pillow: 4/5 I liked it since I prefer my matcha on the sweeter side, but I wish it was bigger for the price. Cinnamon Pecan Cream Cheese: 5/5 Tastes just like a cinnamon roll. Blueberry Cream Cheese: 4/5 Pretty good overall. Matcha Crumble: 4/5 Get this if you're a big matcha fan. Strawberry Shortcake: 5/5 The custard is similar to what you get in custard pineapple buns; pretty unique for a sweet bagel. However, the crowds can cause customers to leave, so here is some tips to achieving your Miopane bagel: -Come promptly at 7:00-7:30 ( Miopane opens at 8:00 ) -Wait patiently in line -once it opens, go through the door, pick your bagels, and pay for your freshly baked bagels! The ambiance is crowded but the fresh smell of Bagels makes it all the worth while! FLAVORS Miopane offers a variety of flavors from mango cream cheese to strawberry shortcake ! Additionally, the crust is soft and chewy with a nice glaze or crumble depending on your bagel! I'm so verry grateful I got to visit Miopane, and I look forward to coming to this awesome bakery in the future! read more

We got lucky!!! Line was short when we arrived. There was about 5 people in front of us which is really good considering their lines can be really long. They had a guy ( I think was the manager) who was super friendly and thanked the customers for patiently waiting. He asked if it was our first time and gave us the run through on how the ordering process worked. He also was able to check the avialbity of certain breads that we wanted. The breads are truly unique. Some flavors that you think doesn't good well like the green onion croissant was delicious! We were lucky to get one of those and tried other flavors. All in all...worth the wait. The only thing that was hard was parking. If you can get street parking, snag it right away. Definitely coming back!!! read more

What a better way to celebrate my 300th review than by sharing an experience of a very new place that opened just on New Year's Day. Miopane has been welcome with lines around the corner each morning so far. Walking out with their bag automatically draws others' attention to ask if the wait was worth it. So... was it? Overall, in the bites I was lucky enough to score-- Yes. Ironically, we got nothing we hoped to actually try except for one! Which was the maple glazed green onion croissant. Here's the thing with Miopane: The wait is long and the items go quick. If you intend to go there in expectation of getting exactly what you want from the menu, you will unfortunately be going in with disappointment. Why? Because they can literally only bake and display so many things to meet the ongoing demand of the lines. What we ordered: Double cheese, maple green onion, and an upside down sticky bun. Moral of going to a new, on-trend bakery and cafe is to be spontaneous in what you order. If you're very set at getting what you want, come early or maybe let the line fizzle out a bit. It'll give them more time to get more goodies baking in the oven! For not getting to try everything we hoped we would, the items we got were pretty stand out. The concept of having everything already packed and baked into the pastries/bagels is delicious and way less of a struggle. All you have to worry about is taking a clean bite but with the size of Miopane's bagels, no shot. The messier, the better. Each bite punching with flavor. Miopane is the place to not buy everything all at once but to savor your trips by least being surprised to try something new each visit. Welcome to Pasadena, Miopane. See you on a weekday! read more
The newest bagel place in town has gone viral, and I had to try it! I waited around 2 hours on a Saturday morning (got there around 8:15am). The line moves pretty slowly, and you are limited to 4 unique pastries per person (no repeats allowed). My favorites were the more savory options like the green onion croissant and everything bagel with Gouda bagel. Unfortunately, they have limited stock and the items you want may be sold out until the next batch when it's your turn. There's some seating inside, but it feels pretty tight because it's so busy inside. I recommend taking it to go. read more

My friend and I got the blueberry cream cheese and matcha crumble bagels as well as matcha lattes. The bagels were very good especially the matcha crumble which was still warm, almost tasted like a matcha pineapple bun to me. The blueberry cream cheese was also good but not amazing. The matcha latte was too sweet for me, not sure if they can do it unsweetened. The line was a bit long but actually went by pretty fast. Service was nice and friendly. There's limited seating inside but we still were able to sit down to eat a bite of the bagel before leaving. read more
Came on a Saturday morning ~9:30 and the wait was about 35-40min. Luckily it wasn't very sunny but the workers told me they hand out small umbrellas for people waiting in line which is so thoughtful of them. There is still a 4 item limit per person I believe. Scallion croissant- my fav. Probably bc I'm biased towards croissants but I really liked the savory- sweet combo. The croissant was perfectly crispy on the outside. Gouda bagel and everything egg croissant- both delicious but nothing too special imo Sesame bagel- not too sweet, I enjoyed it Jalapeño cheddar bagel (not pictured)- probably my second favorite. Had a kick and the flavors were on point. I really like how all the bagels were baked with the fillings inside. It makes them more airy and each bite felt very balanced not to mention less messy. If it wasn't for the wait, I would come here more often. Definitely worth trying. Can't speak on if it's worth the wait since everyone's tolerance is different and the wait times seem to vary a lot. read more

I came to Miopane two separate times, once on a weekday and on a Saturday. I'm not sure if it's a weekend thing or the new bakery hype dying down but the wait was only 15 minutes when I came on Friday and 30 minutes on Saturday which was much more bearable compared to the first few weeks they opened. The first time I came I tried all savory bagels, including the jalapeño cheddar, burnt onion, triple cheese, and sour cream and onion. The highlights of the savory bagels were the jalapeño cheddar and the triple cheese. The second time I came was time for the sweet bagels. I got the mango, matcha, blueberry cream cheese, and the strawberry shortcake. The mango and matcha were definitely the highlights! I would recommend the matcha crumble if anyone is a fan of matcha. The blueberry cream cheese and the strawberry shortcake were a bit disappointing and didn't have much special to it. Overall, Miopane is a modern and comforting addition to the Pasadena area and I would go back! read more
