I've been here twice now and it is a cute bakery with indoor and outdoor seating! The inside is really nice and there's lots of food options. I got the savory pastry with goat cheese and onions on top and I loved it. I'm not sure if they toast pastries but my friends and I agreed it would be nice to toast the pastries like croissants but that may be a personal preference. Staff were friendly, will come back for more!

Disclaimer: first time trying and it was during the World Cup finale and mariners came, and they were very busy. Positive: they have a lot of prepackaged food from France (shelf stable and refrigerated). AMAZING customer service. The staff are friendly, didn't feel rushed, and constantly moving. The staff clear the table and serve you. It's a wonderful interior and exterior building and location within Pioneer Square. Surprised: we ordered several things and nothing was noteworthy. 1) The almond croissant was moist and flat. 2) The Madison Chicken Salad: was underdressed, thinly shredded (previous photos show the chicken being small strips), the sweet caramelized onions were the best. I didn't add bacon or avocado so possibly that would have added some dimension to the salad. There was way more arugula than needed. 3) Saint Germaine Breakfast to-go with strawberry jam. Baguette was narrow and chewy. The strawberry jam was mildly sweet. 4) Cannelle was okay but I have had better in Seattle. I saw some folks who ordered the avocado toast and that looked really good.

Love everything about this bakery! Staff were super friendly and I felt like I was talking to a friend when ordering. The almond croissant was very good- soft and airy just a really good croissant. The sweetness was a little bit too sweet for my liking but on par with the traditional French almond croissant. My friend got the ham and cheese sandwich that came in a really fresh and crunchy baguette and it was very good as well. You can also enjoy it the pastry inside the bakery or sit outside at the patio. I will be back!

We are so happy we ran into this place! Owned by a very kind French couple, truly authentic French food. We ended up going 2 days in a row because we loved it so much. The most amazing croissant I've ever eaten. Every trip to Seattle we will be stopping here. Go try it you won't regret it!

1 star for the gorgeous decor and setting 1 star for ample options and delicious bakery items 1 star for delicious food items both breakfast and lunch as well as a delicious mocha 1 star for ample seating inside and out as well as their unique French items 1 star for nice service, she was really patient 5 stars are well deserved! Evening was fresh, beautiful decor and true to the theme of a French patisserie! We came here walking about looking for a light breakfast and they delivered! Even if you just want a delicious espresso and scrumptious baked treat this is the place! DO NOT pass them up! Yes there are other options but NOT like this in the area!

Very disappointing experience, especially as a solo customer. I ordered just a coffee and some bread, but waited an extremely long time. They were already serving order #28 while my #20 still hadn't been served. When I asked about it, I was told that the numbers are random and orders aren't necessarily served in numerical order, which was confusing and frustrating. By the time my coffee finally arrived, I had waited so long that I no longer wanted it and refused it. The staff did offer me a $15 gift card afterward, which I appreciate, but it doesn't change how unpleasant the experience was. The wait was simply unreasonable for such a small order. I would not recommend this place, especially if you're dining alone.

Located just a 5 minute walk away from the Pioneer Square light rail station, this small French cafe serves some seriously good pastries. They use high quality ingredients (Isigny Ste Mere butter, Valrhona chocolate, etc). It's something that really comes through in the final product. Cinnamon Cruffin ($6.50) - I'm not sure I would call this a cruffin since there's not really any laminated layers on the interior. It's more like monkey bread, with a richer brioche interior interspersed with ribbons of cinnamon, then dusted with cinnamon sugar on the outside. There are some crispy caramelized sugar bits on top which I found to be fun to bite into. (4/5) Casse-Noisette ($6.50) - The lamination on this croissant looks quite nice, but the interior isn't particularly buttery and the layers are quite delicate. It's filled with a hazelnut-dark chocolate spread which is sticky, messy and rich. I believe it's a homemade spread rather than nutella due to the richer taste and darker color. The exterior of the croissant is soft instead of crusty and shattering, probably since we didn't eat this until the end of the day. They sprinkle crunchy pearl sugar and crushed hazelnut on top, adding some additional pleasing texture. (5/5) Savory Tartelette ($6.50) - This tart is filled with tangy and funky goat cheese, sweet and soft caramelized onion, a drizzle of honey, and a small zing of rosemary, on a super buttery and crisp base. The croissant base tastes by far the most buttery as compared to both the Almond and Hazelnut croissants. (5/5) Almond Croissant ($6.50) - I believe this is a double baked croissant given the dark brown bake. As with the casse-noisette, this croissant has been softened by the Seattle spring humidity and unfortunately no longer remains particularly crisp. The croissant is cut in half and filled with a sweet almond frangipane. I believe it's made in house - it's more sugary than almond, and the texture is quite a bit less viscous than most almond croissants. The frangipane compresses the croissant layers into thicker slabs, and this creates a chewy texture that almost reminds me of egg in texture. (4/5) Kouign-Amann ($6.50) - Finally another proper Kouign-Amann! This one has enriched more brioche-like laminated dough rather than plain croissant dough like a lot of other bakeries use. This makes the pastry so much richer and decadent. The interior here has a certain flavor that's totally different from the dough in the casse-noisette and in the tart. I feel like there's a unique funk that might be from cultured butter. The pastry is still quite flaky, with layers that easily come apart, and there's still a bit of a crunch from the sugar glazed over the surface. I especially love the center, where towards in the interior, there's an almost sweet custard-like center, and the center top, where there's a sand-like mound of almost-melted sugar. (5/5) Marbre ZigZag ($5.99) - Really moist and dense marble cake, deceptively heavy for the size. There's a thick layer of dark chocolate ganache covering the cake layer, making the slice exceptionally rich. (5/5) La Baguette MBO ($3.95) - This is an oddly shaped baguette, curved instead of flat, and very uneven in width. The shape was strange enough I thought the baguette would not be good. Cutting it open with a bread knife, the interior crumb seems a little tight, missing some of the more open holes of a well risen baguette. The taste and crustiness, however, are excellent. The flavor is very well developed and there's a hard baked crust that gives a fantastic baguette crisp. It's not perfect, but for $4, which is less than baguettes cost at most places in Seattle, this is a great deal. (5/5) Mirabelle by Orphée is another excellent Seattle bakery! I will definitely be visiting again. Bathrooms - Single unisex room shared with the other building tenants. Requires code to enter

This is a go to spot for patio brunch with my pup and delicious French bakery. I love the quiche so much. I get it every time. They have tons of amazing options for bakery and for entrees. The service is always lovely and friendly. The inside and outside are usually bustling and charming. A clear favorite.

Charming! Went here with Francophile friends and we enjoyed our time. I got a croissant and a latte and we sat outside. The croissant was large and delicious! The staff were friendly and helpful. Summer time in pioneer square has a charming vibe. I think going early in the morning before it got busy helped. I'll get the baguette or the ham sandwich next time. I got some French provisions to go. Will be back.

Ooo if you want French cuisine, this is IT. Best pastries I've had outside of Europe and maybe even better. Staff are actually French and so nice. It's a small little cafe, but incredible food and coffee. The beignet and hazelnut croissant were divine.

Strong opinion incoming. Dare I say, Mirabelle makes the best kouign-amann and pain au chocolat I've had in Seattle. The texture, lamination, butter quality, saltiness, and sweetness were all perfect to me. High marks! Cute shop too, was not busy near closing when I visited. They have inside tables and outside tables. A bit warm inside the shop on a hot day btw, so prepare for this if you'll eat there and you can always take your pastries to go and enjoy them near the water views. This location is pretty close to the water taxi and ferry terminals, so this may turn into my quick snack pick-up before heading on the ferry! Highly recommend and can't wait to try some of their other items!

I am so glad I came here for breakfast on my solo trip to Seattle this past weekend. Though it was a Saturday morning (10am), the line was surprisingly short with only 2 parties ahead of me. You enter the café and order first, so make sure you browse through the menus they have on the right counter to get a better idea of what you'd like. As I was waiting in line, I saw them restocking their baguettes and it took everything within me to not buy one just to try! All the pastries by the front look amazing, but knowing I had the underground tour (which is RIGHT next door) after breakfast, I couldn't necessarily order with just my eyes. I eventually opted with their seasonal mademoiselle yuzu sweet treat and Mr. Breakfast 2.0. I added avocado with the house-made brioche bun and the size was so petite yet perfect for 1 serving! The yuzu treat was FANTASTIC and has this citrusy cream and meringue that's to die for. To get a caffeine fix, I ordered a regular latte with oatmilk--not sweet at all but did the job to get something warm in me on a chilly day! There are about 10 small tables you can dine inside for, but it's a bit difficult to snag one since they fill up quick! There's a lot more seating outside if you don't mind, which I did anyway especially with the great weather that day.

So, what went well, and what has plenty of room for improvement? SERVICE - 5/5 The staff was super friendly and just really cool! I especially appreciated that he grabbed the pain au chocolat from the back at my request. I did not want mine touching the almond croissants displayed so closely together. I wanted a pain au chocolat, not an almond pain au chocolat. Sorry! AMBIANCE - 4/5 A very busy bakery/café located at Pike Place Market, near Starbucks. I liked the wall décor and the overall cozy vibe. Finding an empty seat may be a challenge? KOUIGN-AMANN/PAIN AU CHOCOLAT/MERINGUE - 2/5 Kouign-amann - 0/5 It pained me to give a kouign-amann such a low score, especially because it is my all-time favorite pastry. But this one was so subpar that I could not even finish it. It was, frankly, a complete waste of butter, flour, sugar and labor. I once lodged a complaint with a GM and Director of F&B at a certain Ritz-Carlton because their kouign-amanns were so bad that I asked them to stop whoever was making them. Since then, there has been a huge improvement, and that is what genuine feedback should accomplish. Pastry integrity is of utmost importance, and pastry crime is hardly forgivable. Pain au Chocolat - 2/5 Doughy and deeply disappointing. I simply cannot reconcile this with the fact that Le Panier has supposedly been a beloved fixture of Seattle's food scene since 1983. MERINGUE -- 5/5 Can anyone possibly mess up a meringue?? It is extremely disappointing to visit what is supposed to be a legendary, quintessential French bakery in Seattle, only to find that the two pastries I was most looking forward to, the kouign-amann and pain au chocolat, were both such letdowns. A café/bakery cannot survive on service and ambiance alone. The pastries have to deliver too. Time to rehone the baking skills, Le Panier.

Highlights: - Miso Roasted White Chocolate Cronut: My favorite item in their current rotation. The cronut was a tad soggy, but the buttery texture inside is still satisfying and the miso white chocolate filling is lusciously smooth and perfectly balanced between savory and sweet. - Blackberry Corn Mousse Cake: Blueberry mousse is the perfect fluffy texture and the corn is very subtle. Skip: - Black Forest Cake: Found the cake to be a bit too firm with the cream filling to be a little bland and too firm as well. Just wanted this to be better than it was. Also, it looks totally different from the photo on their website heads up. - Tomato Basil Croissant: Just found this to be off ratio wise. The only tomato is the 3 small quarters of cherry tomato at the top and a light smear of basil cream. I can see this being very good, but current form factor isn't doing it any favors.

My partner and I were enticed in on a whim after paddle boarding in Lake Union and it did not disappoint. The smell of the smoker outside hit us as soon as we parked and from then we decided we couldn't leave without trying a little something. We ended up getting the miso caramel pork belly from the Hinoki food truck with a side of rice. The pork belly was really well flavored, smoky, sweet, and salty. I'm only taking half a star off for the rice which really wasn't great as it was mushy and overcooked. I would probably opt for the fries next time instead, though this might be a heavier combination. The service was good, and everyone we interacted with was perfectly nice and helpful. The plan is to definitely come back again and try more of what they have on their menu like the smoked half chicken, and even some drinks and things from the bakery.

The breakfast sandwich is just delicious especially if you can get it on the sweet bread (can't remember the name), and they have hojicha lattes which can be hard to find/do well! I would recommend going on a weekday, as the line does get crazy on weekends. But yeah it's worth it
