tri color penne w San Remo sauce
    Michelle L.

A delicious quick-casual Italian spot in Atlanta! I will most definitely be returning! To start they bring warm bread- moist and fluffy- no complaints here. They pair it with a dipping sauce made of what tasted like bean and topped it with some olive oil and rosemary. As someone who isn't the biggest fan of beans, I surprisingly didn't mind it. I wouldn't go out of my way to find this sauce, but it was sufficient. For mains I ordered the tri-color penne with the San Remo sauce and my friend got the Zucca (butternut squash ravioli w mascarpone cream/radicchio). Both were delicious. I wish that my penne had more sauce- it had a good amount of sundried tomatoes and sausage though. I liked the slight sweetness of the butternut in the ravioli. Overall, I think I liked the Zucca slightly better. Service was fast and friendly. I highly recommend Mirko!

    Capellini bolognese

We eat there occasionally and are usually very happy with the food and service but this evening I ordered take out. I ordered a half order Caesar salad which was good and 2 orders of capellini bolognese. The 2 containers of bolognese were filled with pasta and maybe 2 tablespoons of ground beef and no sauce in each container. These were about $20 each! I had to add some spaghetti sauce to them to make them edible. The rolls were hard..left over from last night or maybe the night before! So this dinner was $57 not counting the tip AND in small print I saw that they add 3% if you charge it. So much for having a good Mother's Day dinner!

I've been coming to Mirko ever since I was a freshman in university, and now that I'm graduating four years later, Mirko has remained the best pasta place I've been to in Atlanta. I love the customization that you're able to do here. You can pair whichever pasta shape, sauce, and protein you want, which is the best thing ever! Their free bread is always so warm and good, and is the perfect thing to snack on before the meal, or alongside your main entree. The place always feels so clean and energetic, and I've never had a bad experience here! Their spinach pasta with bolognese is what I tend to get!

    Pappardelle Bolognese - $18

First visit to this restaurant. It was dead on a Saturday at lunchtime and we were the only ones dining until one other table came in at the end of our lunch. I liked the interior design of the restaurant, however, it was a bit worn and could use some updating. The tables were in terrible shape and kind of gross. It appears the table tops have been layered and re-layered with polyurethane over the years with several areas flaking off and cloudy. We were given some complimentary bread along with a cold bean dip purée/oil mixture that looked pretty disgusting. We did sample it with the bread and we didn't think it tasted great either. The bread was fresh. I had the Pappardelle Bolognese. It was good, but not great and the portion was adequate, but not very big. For $18 I certainly expected more flavor and a larger portion. In the end, this was just an OK experience and missed the mark for us. And for the price, I don't see returning.

Cockroach popped out on the ceiling once we finished eating.

We had a party of 25 people, we were not told that they couldn't split the check until AFTER WE ALL ATE. Which caused such a mess! Not only did they refuse to accommodate, our waitress was rude as h*ll. She had so much unnecessary attuide! This ruined our whole evening! We only wanted to enjoy a nice dinner and celebrate our friends birthday! THE FOOD WAS SO BLAND! TO FINISH THE NIGHT A HUGE ROACH CAME OUT!!!!! OVERALL STAY AWAY!

AN ABSOLUTE GEM! We happened upon this place one afternoon when we were craving some fresh pasta but didn't want to spend our life savings. From the outside, it doesn't look like extraordinary, but it's super cute inside. It wasn't too crowded, and they were understaffed a bit, but our waitress was FANTASTIC! She was hustling - taking care of everyone, super knowledgeable and attentive. You get to choose your pasta, then choose your sauce, or choose from some of the pre-created menu items. Honestly, I was in between 3 different things, so I went with the Carbonara with Tagliatelle and my husband went with the Pappardelle and the sauce that started with an F. That was actually one of the 3 I was choosing from so this was a win-win for me from the start! Both were DELICIOUS! The carbonara was my favorite- super creamy and a good amount of prosciutto. The other one was also super creamy. You can add meat, so I would have liked it mode with Chicken. $40 total for fresh pasta and delicious sauce! That is rare in ATL. I will definitely be back!

Because it doesn't exist however, the security staff that was working there was super nice and it was an older gentleman who told me I in fact, could park directly outside the front door of the restaurant despite it saying no parking because that sign was simply up for the purposes of construction period So I took him for his word and I definitely parked right in front of the restaurant and luckily did not get towed or any tickets because he was right Now onto the food. Everything is freshly made on site from all the pastas to the desserts. And I have to say this was absolutely incredible. I have never had this type of artisanal approach to Italian food outside of Italy. This is the stop. Unfortunately, it was on a Friday where I was observing no meat so I did not order any dishes with meat, however, none of the dishes, disappointed in any way shape or form. We even ordered dessert and that just blew my mind because I do not like tiramisu, but this thing was delectable. And if I had room, I would've ordered another one. Our waitress Natividad was fantastic!! she was so kind and patient and very helpful with the menu. In fact, the kitchen had made a wrong dish out of all the dishes and sent it to us, but she intercepted realizing that it was wrong. I sent it back to the kitchen had them starting on the right dish, leaving only one person in our party waiting just a few more minutes for his plate to come out. The portions are very fair however they are not super generous. So if you are sharing and you really love what you're eating be careful because the person you share it with will probably love it just as much as you do and will eat more than you really want them to. I have to come back here when I come back to Atlanta. This is everything it lives up to be from all the previous reviews I have seen online and then some.

My boyfriend was running late, but he put in a special request that was fulfilled beautifully. He called ahead to say he'd be late and asked if they could start making a particular drink for me. When I arrived, they recognized me and confirmed that I wanted the drink he had requested on my behalf. I was amazed by their thoughtful service and couldn't believe they went out of their way like that. This experience was so wonderful that this spot has definitely become our go-to for Italian food in the city. The food here always impresses me. Although I've never been to Italy and can't compare it to authentic Italian cuisine, this restaurant feels comforting--almost like home. The pasta is freshly made in-house and cooked to perfection; every dish I've tried has been delicious and satisfying without being overwhelming. Despite the many popular Italian spots nearby, this place stands out for its amazing flavors and welcoming, family-oriented atmosphere. It's also an ideal spot for date nights, family gatherings, or girls' nights out. Additionally, they offer products for sale near the entrance, making it even more appealing. Also, we challenged our bartender to create a drink. We listed off favors, amoras, and alcohols we'd prefer. We listed off a few of our favorites, and the bartender absolutely dominated. The drink doesn't have a name, but my boyfriend requests it EVERYWHERE he goes and can't get it made properly anywhere else but at this location.

I think they may rotate the pizza offerings seasonally, but either way - highly recommend! No complaints but if a heavily black peppered salad isn't your jam, you may need to mention that to your server when you order. The Paccheri Alla Vodka pasta dish was my main entree and I really enjoyed it. I usually enjoy a red sauce but I wanted some seafood with my pasta and this hit the spot. The shrimp that come with it are not overcooked and there's a generous portion of it too. It's in the same plaza as the Trader Joe's, along with lots of other businesses, but parking isn't an issue. I ended up getting some french fries and a couple of pizza slices. Pepperoni, of course, because that's a staple. I got a pepperoni and bacon, And I got a spinach meatball one as well. The pizza was good. The sauce wasn't as impactful or flavorful as I would have liked it to be, but the toppings were pretty solid. The slices were of a really good size. Couldn't have been happier with our choice. Reviews I'd seen online mentioned parking is a bit limited and that the restaurant is frequently busy. So we were prepared for that even though we were going on a Thursday mid morning. I think there was an influx of people celebrating graduations because it was in fact very busy. However we got very lucky with parking and happened to come in right as someone was leaving. I was sure we would have a wait for a table, which of course would have been fine, but actually we were seated immediately! Which was super nice and unexpected. The atmosphere is bustling but not in a bad way. The restaurant itself is adorable and has a lot of character. It feels like you're having breakfast at an old friend's house. The service was great and our food came out in a very reasonable amount of time. I ordered a specialty coffee, I believe it was the almond joy cold brew, and it was delicious. Strong, which is how I like it and not overly sweet. I ordered the chicken biscuit on the waiter's recommendation and it was absolutely the best fried chicken I've ever had. Juicy and crispy. My husband ordered the pimento cheese omelette and was very happy with it, the bacon was thick cut and smoky and flavorful. The pimento cheese grits that came on the side for me were also a stand out, such great flavor. The biscuits are fantastic and the blueberry basil jam that came with my husband's meal was such a nice touch. First things first: the Chicken Biscuit. Buttermilk Kitchen's biscuit is on the crunchy, honey-flavored side. I personally prefer fluffier, more buttery biscuits, so this one wasn't my favorite. That aside, the chicken was crispy and well-seasoned and paired well with the cheese grits. If you ever wanted a dry, crunchy version of Homegrown's Comfy Chicken Biscuit, come give this a shot. I also tried the Hash Bowl, which was a bit underwhelming. It was a *lot* of potatoes compared to the eggs and bacon bits, and there wasn't a lot of seasoning other than the bacon. Would rather recommend one of the other options if you end up visiting. The drinks are good as well, would recommend the matcha latte (not too sweet!) and the French Press coffee.
