Absolutely one of the best places for fine dinning in Cabo. Real Baja mission feel in a clean charming atmosphere combined with some of the most thoughtfully prepared and presented dishes anywhere. The house "chipalla" sauce is amazing, if you love garlic, fresh herbs and love. The margarita's are fantastic and if you're looking for something special try sipping some of their house tequila from the "barrel". I had such high hopes for this restaurant. I made reservations the night before and showed up about 10 minutes early and was promptly seated. I was brought some chips and pico and ordered a margarita. The margarita was nothing special and so far, it's been the worst one so far on this trip. I ordered the molcajete, it was presented nicely in a very large bowl but had only about 5 strips of steak and a couple pieces of cheese and pineapple. The steak had very little flavor, but the cheese and pineapple were good and their is a spicy sausage in there as well that is not bad. Overall, for the margarita, a bottle of water, and the molcajete, the bill came to $42 us. I left 200 pesos for a tip which was too much. The atmosphere wasn't bad, but I would not go back as there are too many great restaurants in Cabo. read more

After going fishing and catching a few fish, I asked our captain where to go to get it turned into dinner and he recommended Misiones de Kino. It was an excellent recommendation. They took my fish and turned it into delicious ceviche before we could get our drinks. Then we had a mexican style sashimi platter that was outstanding. This was followed by a huge platter of our fish prepared 4 different ways, all excellent. Mojitos two of our family had were very excellent as well. I made a reservation at Misiones De Kino a month ahead of time for my vacation to CBS, though I'm not sure this is entirely necessary as the restaurant was not even to capacity on a Friday evening. I'd do it anyways to be safe. I made my way over here due to lack of reviews on Yelp and the plethora of rave reviews on TripAdvisor. You have the option of al fresco dining or sitting under a covered part of the restaurant. Price range is around $30 for two people without appetizers or drinks - more expensive than your average CBS local joint. It's a cute little dim-lighted romantic restaurant with your occasional annoying bunch of spring breakers. They have people going around playing music, but beware, they work for tips and not for the actual restaurant. I had the house octopus dish. It was the most octopus I've ever seen served on one plate. They use pieces of the entire octopus, not just the tentacles like I've usually had. I loved the texture and the charred taste of the octopus, but the house sauce was a bit too mustardy/mayo tasting for my liking and eventually the entree became too rich and heavy for me to finish. It does come with a small side of rice and vegetables. The bf had thehouse fish of the day - it was sea bass and it came with the exact same sauce as my octopus. Sea bass tasted over cooked and had the consistency of frozen fish. It's a decent place that isn't 20 peso tacos and is actually a nice sit-down restaurant, but not sure if the taste of the food warrants the 5-star reviews. read more

Literally the worst service I can remember. -we had reservations and were sat an hour after our arrival because they gave our table away to a group without reservations -I have a life threatening nut allergy and was served bread with pine nuts on my pasta -after bringing up the issue with my server, I was promised they would prepare a fresh plate for me, instead they just took the bread off my plate and served the same dish that had nuts on it -we were ignored for at least half an hour by our waiter in the middle of the meal -we were offered free desserts to atone for their numerous mistakes and we never actually received the desserts -our final check included the drinks that our waiter said would be free because of the initial wait we experienced Food was fine, but in no way worth the horrible service. Overall, the meal was a THREE HOUR soul sucking experience that no human being should ever have to experience. Save your time, your money, and your well-being. Don't come here! BONUS: mediocre singer who solicited us for tips after playing at SOMEBODY ELSE'S table! To be clear, we did NOT ask him to sing and he still asked us for money. Literally WTF. read more

My wife and I are visiting Cabo and we were recommended this restaurant and with good reason. The service is amazing and the food is out of this world. We ordered ceviche for an appetizer; for entree we ordered butter and garlic shrimp and steak fajitas on the first day, and we were swept away by the richness of flavors. The next time we ordered their signature dish Shrimp Chilpalla. It was amazing!!!!! Alonso was our server and he was absolutely fabulous, recommending dishes and providing excellent service. We felt welcomed, he treated us like family. Can't wait to come back to Cabo, and sure thing we are eating our dinners in Misiones De Kino. Do yourself a favor - visit this restaurant. Stumbled upon this cute little place while looking for Mexican food. The restaurant has an amazing ambiance with lights hanging from the trees and a really local feel. The customer service was fantastic, they even gave us blankets because it was windy outside. As for the food, I don't think you can go wrong. I had the garlic scampi pasta and my sisters got Mexican dishes. The pasta was amazingggggg, so many great flavors. The Mexican dishes were really flavorful as well. My sisters and I both agreed this and Taco Guss were the best places we went to in Cabo, especially if you want to get off the beaten path and save a little money. read more

We happened to stumble across this place as we were walking to get tacos and made a last second decision to eat here. We're really glad we made the decision. It's a little off the beaten path, so it's not your typical Cabo eatery. Really quaint atmosphere, so you can have a bit more romantic dining experience. The food and drinks were both great. I had a kalamata olive pasta and my wife had coconut fish, which apparently was one of the best fish dishes she's ever had. As for the drinks - sangria and margaritas are where it's at. The drinks were so good, we actually stopped by after dinner the next night for some after meal cocktails. Israel makes a mean Cadillac Margarita and he was also awesome to talk to. Just finished up dinner. First things first. The garlic signature sauce known as chilpalla is legit. Anything on the menu with this sauce won't disappoint. The setting is really nice. Half of the restaurant is set outside while the other half is covered. This could be set up for a romantic evening. We ordered 2 appetizers between the 4 of us and some of us were already full before our entrees came out. We each had to pack up a portion of our dinner as we were too full to finish any of the dishes. I had the octopus with chilpilla which was tasty and tender. My mother in law had the same but with the fish of the day (flouder) which was equally tasty. My father had the ceviche which he went all in on and also a seafood burrito which he saved for later on that night. My wife had a seafood pasta dish and seemed pretty happy. The only disappointing thing I could note was that I was too full to try the desserts. All in all very happy with the experiance. read more

This is my mom's favorite restaurant in Cabo. We missed it last year as they were closed due to a fire but this year they were opened and better than ever! The restaurant is like a hidden treasure off the beaten path. It is so beautiful to be sitting outside on a nice Cabo night! The staff are so nice and welcoming. The food...amazing!!! Excellent Mexican seafood. We had the jalapeño poppers and blue crab with special garlic sauce to start. We especially liked the crab, though a little messy with having to crack it open. The sauce was TDF and great for dipping the bread. The tortilla soup was very savory served hot with chicken, avocado, tortilla chips and cheese + cream. The pear and gorgonzola salad was also good. We topped off our meal with a shared entree - the catch of the day - fresh flounder prepared Vera Cruz style in a foil wrap. Very tender and tasty marinade with vegetables. We didn't have room for dessert. The meal was also a decent price for the fresh and well prepared dishes. A definite gem in Cabo! Oh and they seem to prefer you make reservations.
