Visited this location last night for dinner. This was our first time so we asked the staff how the ordering works and we received a kindly worded and welcoming explanation and offer for additional assistance. We sat, chose our dishes and ordered. We ordered Spaghetti Alla Puttanesca and Fettuccine Funghi E Tartufo. Our dishes were brought to the table in a timely manner and the server was very sweet. The fettuccini was our favorite, simple, tasty, and fresh. I would absolutely order this again. The Spaghetti on the other hand lacked flavor for its ingredients. This is my "go to" pasta dish as I love the bold flavors of the sardines and capers, however, it had minimal flavor and I was unable to taste these elements aside from a light tomato sauce. We have been here several times and love this place. Simply the BEST! Always delicious and served piping hot straight from the kitchen. You can really taste the difference with their house made pasta. Dang it is so good! The antipasti are a great starter. We chose number 5 - the Montanana which is Fried Pizza dough with tomato sauce, parmesan and basil. So delicious and we will definitely order that again. For my entree I ordered (an adult size) number 27 Rigatoni Alla Bolognese. Man was that fantastic. The sauce is off the charts. The portions are large and we wanted to take the leftovers home. Very easy to do since food is served in a convenient bowl and they gave us a top. They also have free filtered water available. Silly that some people have complained on Yelp about them not offering water. Geez! This is the BEST Italian restaurant in DFW! We are thrilled that we found this hidden gem. The best pasta I have had. Pure authentic Italian pasta! The pasta is cooked to perfection, with incredible flavor in the sauce/pasta type you order. Food is fantastic, and while the prices seem a little high for "takeout" food, I do think the quality warrants it. Pasta is fresh, sauces are great and portions are large. I didn't love the salad, wouldn't get that again. We definitely will go back and try more things, though. read more

So disappointing! We had heard good things so were expecting at least a decent fast casual Italian place. When we walked in, it looked kind of like a Sbarro or something where you walk through a line, but there were only plain pastas visible through the glass. The specials on the chalkboard sounded more like a sit-down place so we weren't sure what to do. A woman approached and pointed out menus and said we should come up to the counter when we were ready to order. THERE WERE NO PRICES ON THE MENU. If they were posted somewhere, I didn't see it. We thought though, since we were having to order at a counter, that they would be reasonably priced. But an entree each for my husband, my son and me with one order of focaccia was $78. We asked for water but they never brought it out. My son finally noticed room temperature water and cups, but we had to specifically ask if they could bring us ice. The food was very heavy but not especially flavorful. My son's and my pasta was super al dente, which I guess may be more authentic (I have been to Italy, but it's been a really long time now), but my husband's lasagna noodles were mushy. None of us liked our entrees. Pretty depressing to pay so much and not even get a "cheap Italian" experience of entree with salad and complimentary bread. The food was great. The people were nice. But those items alone don't make a good restaurant. It seems like the food network couple figured they knew how to cook so they could open a restaurant. In reality, they need someone who knows the business to partner with them. Our portions were okay sized but not huge and the price was steep. And for those prices, you get noodles in a paper bowl. No salad, no bread, not even a cup of tap water is available unless you want to spend $3.00 on a bottle of Ozarka. Being from the Northeast and growing up with Italians, I always look for authentic Italian dishes since moving to Dallas. Not an easy feat. At Miss Pasta, my family and I were impressed! Freshly made pasta, cooked perfectly al dente. We had the #18 Tortellini al Pomodoro (amazing), #7 Spaghetti Aglio e Olio, #12 Miss Pasta (spicy from chili pepper!), and #10 Fettuccine Bolognese (perfect!). Being a fast-casual place, they serve the pastas in a sturdy, deep paper bowl along with silverware on a tray. The prices reflect the high quality of the food, so plan on spending a good $20 per person or more if having wine. Tiramisu in a jar is incredibly good for $5. You can have it there or take it home. Overall we loved the food! Owner is very friendly and speaks Italian. We do wish they offered bread with the meals, and drinks that are not solely bottled. We like fresh brewed iced tea, but only bottled teas available. There were pitchers of free iced tap water available. Because Miss Pasta is less than a month old, I think the owners will tweak things as they go. I give the food 5 stars! Lack of complimentary bread, more variety of drinks, and only one dessert choice make this visit a 4 star visit overall. read more

In regard to the whole paper bowl I think is brilliant idea. It is sturdy, provides great portions and eliminates the need of another "to go" plate, just simply add a lid and good to go. this place has the most expensive pasta i have even seen in my whole life. $18 for the #19. the portions sizes are not worth the price and the pasta is hard in every dish i have tried. we asked for some parmesan cheese to put on our pasta and they said it would be a charge. my pasta came with 9 noodles and was NOT worth the price at all. $70 for 3 people to eat. also with the ambience it is ridiculously hot in this place and very a very hidden location. you think you are coming to a cute place to eat but then end up spending $70 for 3 people to have 3 very small portions of pasta that isn't even that great. this is honestly one of the worst italian food places i've ever been to in my life. i DO NOT recommend coming here. i am writing this review as i sit down because this place is ridiculously overpriced for shitty pasta. i will NEVER be coming back here. read more

This is one of thoes small hidden gems. The place sits maybe 100 people, but unlike many chains this pasta is fresh and the sauces are very authentic. Not to mention not the usual standby sauces. They have only two sauces that are what you would normally find in most Italian food restaurants. There are over 20 different sauces that are on the regular menu. Not to mention 2 to 3 monthly specials. Been there twice. You can taste the love in the food. When I went to Italy for my honeymoon, this is the type of food I remember. Family recipes, fresh, and flavorful. The pasta absorbs the sauce's flavors. Thier sauces that go from subtle to bold. For the best experience, tell them what you want in terms of flavor and trust them to decide for you. I love the open prep so you can see what you are getting. read more

We drove here from uptown Dallas to try it out. Prices for the entree are between $15-19 with a majority around $17. The flavor was great. Obviously the star of the show is the pasta which is clearly made fresh daily and cooked beautifully al dente. The place was clean, service was prompt. Nothing bad to say about the place! I'd come back again if I was in the mood for Italian and was in the area, but the prices aren't too far from what I'd pay in Dallas, without the long drive. So not sure how often I'd come out here. Kind of hard to find at first, next to sweet water coffee shop. The entrance is a little hidden in the side alley. But overall a great dinner spot. I would not recommend . Pasta is $20 (plus tip, why tip when it's counter service). Pasta, atmosphere and everything felt like mall lunch atmosphere. Maybe $12 would've felt more right. Cute little restaurant facing the entrance to Texas Restaurant, they even have outside seating which reminds us of Italy. The options for pasta and sauces are great, my husband had the Tortelli Al Tartufo and I the bolognese; both were delicious! Also ordered the meatball app for our daughter, she loved the bread and meatballs were spot on. We can't wait to go back to try the other pasta dishes.
