Until I arrived in Clarksville, I'd never heard of the Mission BBQ chain, but for a chain BBQ restaurant, it's pretty good. I hesitate to call it a BBQ Joint as the interior certainly had that overdone chain restaurant feel. I tried the three meat sampler with beef brisket, pulled pork, and turkey; I also ordered two sides: mac and cheese and green beans. Since I'd never ate there, one of the employees recommended I try the Tupelo Honey and Memphis Belle bbq sauce, after I gave her my preference for spicy and sweet. The brisket, pork, and turkey were cooked well if not a little underwhelming, although the brisket was dry, the turkey and pork were entirely tender. I didn't notice much smokiness to the three types of meat, but when I realized the place was a chain, I had already tempered my expectations. The baked mac and cheese-y cheesiness were delicious, and I'm sure even children would enjoy the green beans with tasty chunks of bacon. While I thoroughly enjoyed the Tupelo, I found the Memphis sauce to have a touch too much vinegar; still, both were good. Overall, I'd certainly eat here again and would recommend it to the less adventurous BBQ eater, or if you're looking to satisfy a meat craving quickly. I will also recommend that if you're on the search for a more genuine bbq experience, go to a smaller more focused establishment where the owner/pitmaster has a more significant investment in the quality of their product. read more

Just moved to the area and wanted to try a few places I haven't before. Mission BBQ did not disappoint. I order the pulled pork and brisket and had two different sauces on the side for extra dipping (not that you need it because it comes very well sauced). The corn bread is amazing as well! read more

Not a bad place for BBQ. I am usually satisfied with the meat that I get, however there were times that my meat was too dry. They have 6 different sauces, so you can try each to find your favorite. I personally like to mix my two favorite sauces. The atmosphere is pretty neat. It honors those who have served and are serving in the military and law enforcement. This was my 2nd trip to Mission, the first being a couple years ago when I gave it 5 stars. Today's trip was disappointing. The brisket is still excellent. Albeit a bit pricey. I had baby back ribs as well as fries and baked beans. The beans are also excellent, and the ribs were meaty and very good. The fries were over cooked and served cold. So for a lunch with 2 iced teas costing over $31, the quality and value was lacking. If I return I'll stick with the brisket. read more

Okay perfection! I ordered there pulled chicken San which and ( being a fatty ) ordered a side of Mac n cheese and fries and it was amazing my kids also loved it and my son can be very picky with textures but I ordered him a little slider and he loved it !! My daughter loved the Mac n cheese and my husband said the ribs were PERFECTION that they cooked it super good he loved the seasoned fries he said that were the perfect amount of seasoning they didn't taste drenched they were crispy but not burnt deffently recommend this place yall!!! read more

This is a very good barbecue place and great "theme" concept. All the meats are good and smoked right. However, I do think their top meat creation is their brisket. This place was phenomenal. From the food to the service, it was amazing. We went with someone who had been numerous times and this was our first. I ordered the pulled pork Carolina style (with coleslaw) and got a side of Mac & cheese. Hubby got the chopped brisket which is marinated. From the start the lady said if he didn't like it, come bring it back and she would give him a regular no charge. Well, his flavor was ok. It wasn't great but wasn't wrrible. So he wasn't gonna say anything but she came back and saw it half eaten and brought him a new sandwich to go no matter what even though he said no worries what so ever. The manager came over and brought us a sample of the potatoes which was a full side. We we're really shocked. And those were amazing too! I loved the macaroni and cheese. It was perfect! And the pulled pork was the best I've ever had. Didn't need sauce it was that good. Which is odd for me! But they do have plenty of sauces to chose from. Hubby's baked beans were delicious too! Plus, they are extremely supportive of the military and law enforcement and fire. We ended up leaving with brownies as well because they we're that nice. First time trying this place and it hit the spot. I ordered take out, which was ready in about 10 minutes. Place looks nice and clean inside, and customer service was decent.
