This place is good, not great. First thing you should know is that they have a dumpling station where a woman is hand making dumplings. A little hint, if there is an old woman making dumplings at a dumpling making station, order the dumplings. I must say, the bar tending is sub par and the other food is mediocre at best, but really good dumplings. Nothing terrible. Really disappointing. In 70 years of ordering Chinese food deliveries I have never before had Chinese food delivered without any rice whatsoever, not to mention no "duck sauce" or even soy sauce. No noodles with the soup, either. A small wanton soup included three small wantons (which were good), and mildly flavorful soup. Shrimp with lobster sauce had an abundance of tasty shrimp, but the "lobster sauce" had the flavor and, especially, the consistency of egg drop soup. The spring rolls were good, and the other entrees we had were fair. As is typical I charged the order, and the delivery guy presented me with a slip to sign, which was expected, but the slip was designed toprecluded me from adding a tip to the amount charged. These people are so obnoxious. When they answer the phone they say they do not take cash but when you order they then tell you they only take cash. One time we ordered salt and pepper shrimp and the shell was still on the shrimp and they did not clean the vein so the shrimp was still dirty. Yes, finally a chinese restaurant that has more than the usual American/chinese dishes. The soup dumplings, and lettuce wraps of chopped chicken are divine. i like both the regular spare ribs and the boneless kind. Their fried dumplings are quire doughy. Let me start with I live in Queens and I started working in Rye, NY for a little over a year now. I have tried a fair amount of Chinese restaurants, take-outs and none of them have quite impressed me yet. Oh and some of the prices...oof. TLDR? Door Dash mark up hurts this business. At work and decided to try Mister Chen out via Door Dash. While browsing the menu, the first thing I noticed was how high the prices were. 6 steamed/fried dumplings for $12? They better be blow my socks off I have never tasted such awesome dumplings during my 40+ years. Decided to not test fate but plunged for the 4 pan fried pork buns for $11...I decided to be robbed. They were good but not $11 worth in my honest opinion, they looked great and didn't taste bad. Let's try a simple dish, what they call traditional lo-mein at $16+$1 because I wanted beef. Okay, not bad but still not $17 worth...$15 at most and for the portion. Lastly I tried the Pork Chop over Rice for $11. Felt this was still a bit pricey, maybe $8-$10 at most. The flavors are definitely there and comes very close to the Taiwanese restaurants in Flushing, NY. I appreciated that there was a tea egg, the pickled veg with radish and the minced pork was not bad. To my surprise there was some pork floss in it too, wow! The juices were there and mixed into the white rice beautifully. Now the pork chop, the star of the show was petite in size but was seasoned okay. If that pork chop was bigger, more meat and less bone, I could almost justify that $11 asking price. Okay Okay so I ordered through Door Dash and after looking through their own website, there appears to be a $2 mark up on everything. Let me say it feels like their entrees are reasonably priced if you dine in or have the restaurant deliver. The prices on some of their appetizers still feel high even without the Door Dash mark up. Sadly I have to update my review of this restaurant. I've been to this place numerous times but the last 2 times I ate here the food quality has gone down. Is there a new chef?!? The fried rice was hard and not flavorful, the wontons in chili oil came out lukewarm, the salt and pepper wings tasted funny like the meat had already gone bad before it was fried and the pork chop was bland. Was in the neighborhood and stopped by Mister Chen because I heard about the Soup Dumplings and the restaurant didn't disappoint. I liked them better than the ones in NYC or Flushing. Delicate skin, flavourful, juicy, and came out piping hot. Try the crab and pork soup dumplings, delicious. Also ordered hot and sour soup and diced chicken with hot peppers and neither disappointed. Chicken was nice and crispy on the outside and most and juicy once you got into it. The servers were attentive and accommodating to my requests. All in all had a great meal. read more

This place SUCKS!! Ordered more than $150. Of food for my 3 kids, myself and my husband just to have them reject the order not once but twice. Why would I order the second time? Because i thought I had ordered outside their hours of operation. After the second denial - we take a ride and question why we couldn't order food and they proceed to say they rejected because the kitchen is too busy. Which is all fine and good but they are holding on to both transactions for 5-7 days on a holiday weekend. If it's there choice to deny, then they should do so without charging your credit card. Finally gave this place a try, the interior is nicely decorated with an open bar and open dumpling section where you can see the dumplings being made. However, the owner should note the actions of their employees can be seen. While we were eating, we noticed that the woman behind the counter was rubbing her eyes and face and then started to make orders without washing her hands- which is extremely unsanitary and disgusting. After seeing that, I didn't want to disturb the meal but the wait staff was a bit rude- snatched the menus out of hands. Being that it is a sit down restaurant, the menus were paper similar to a take out menu. Food was decent- catered to a less authentic traditional taste. I really hope to give this place another chance but after seeing what happened at the dumpling station- who knows what goes behind the kitchen doors. We had soup the dumplings and the chicken lo mein and they were both good. The space is new and modern and the person behind the bar seemed like a nice guy. I also appreciate the fact that there are no TVs. However, our waitress was very anxious, which gave the meal an uncomfortable feeling, especially given that we were 1 of only 3 parties in the restaurant at the time, and a lot of the details just weren't in line with the nice space. For example, my wife ordered a hot jasmine tea and it came in the same 8 oz clear plastic cup that my kids milk came in. If you need a close place to scratch the itch, this place will get the job done. But for as often as we want Chinese food we will probably just run into Queens and do it right -- which will no doubt have all the same flaws, but somehow feel more authentic. read more

I tried this restaurant a few weeks ago right around when it opened and was really impressed. They have a lot of authentic items you can't really find unless you want to go into the city/Flushing/Chinatown. The space is really great and the restaurant has a nice ambiance. I have the egg drop soup, stir fried string beans, prawns (with mayo) and broccoli/chicken. I loved all the items...the string beans especially were really really fresh. Love this place! Great soup dumpling! Dumplings are bigger than DinTaiFung, which unfortunately are not available at the East Coast, but they serve one of the best xiaolongbao in Westchester! They only serve two types of soup dumplings, but hope they will serve more varieties in the future. Beside the soup dumpling, I love their diced chicken w/ red peppers and sautéed bok choy. This place is always crowded during weekend dinner hours, so I suggest to make reservations. read more

Got this through Uber eats. This is the ultimate "gringo" Asian food if I've ever had any. Pork soup dumplings had a very mild unexceptional flavor. The dried crispy beef was like gelatin texture. The "jumbo" prawns and green beans had literally no flavor aside from the shrimp tasting like triple frozen fishy slop. Definitely won't order again. The white rice isn't that good. This place is Fantastic. I go with my family at least once a week. Very hard to find really good Chinese food. The dumplings are made fresh to order. Really delicious and authentic Taiwanese cuisine with some standard fare to appeal to a more American palate (mango fried rice, anyone?). But this is not your typical greasy spoon take-out place so don't embarrass yourself by asking for duck sauce and those ghastly packets of fried noodles. The beef noodle soup is excellent as are the dumplings and beef scallion pancakes. Fresh, luscious noodles and dumpling wrappers made in-house. Clean, modern decor and attentive service. Such a great addition to the area. I will be back soon to sample more of the menu.
