I recently bought a truck there. The sales people appeared to be respectful and honest. But when we had negotiated on prices they kept writing things on slips, that looked like simple tables were made on Word. Finally, I go to the finance person and he tells me to start signing. I said I wanted to see the numbers on the contract first. He then says you should have done that already, but I stated we talked about the numbers on a simple sheet not the contract. He gets irritated and says he'll rip up the contract if I don't sign. So I say you can, but I can also leave. I should have left. But I found some discrepancies the biggest of which I thought was the APR, which was not what was advertised. He gets really irritated sends me out telling and tells me he'll work on it. The manager comes out apologizes; I was also told a new finance person would be helping me out. I looked over the contract to where the APR was and I saw it was fixed. Unfortunately, I trusted that they were honest people and gave them the benefit of the doubt that previous man was just a rude person. We have come here many times to service our CRV and came today to look at new CRVs in preparation for our lease ending to figure out what our trade in options are. The staff here is disinterested to put it mildly. Even if we are the only people on the lot, we always get treated as if they have something better to do rather than help us decide which car of theirs to lease or purchase. Jerks. Step up your game or you are going to lose your clientele. Our coworkers and friends have similar complaints. Word of mouth will kill your business. February 8 2022, Worked with Jorge Diaz on the phone for about a week searching for a 2022 Honda CRV-EXL AWD. It took a week because Jorge would take a day to respond back to me. Jorge even forgot about me over the weekend, I had to Text him on the following Monday for an update. We were texting each other back and forth with Jorge sending me a pic of the pricing and monthly payments for the exact vehicle with the agreed down payment. Application process has been approved and was advised all is good and approved by management via text on the price, down payment, car and monthly payment. I advised Jorge that we will be driving from a few hours away and would not appreciate wasting my time and money on gas if all is not facts are not there. I pleaded not to "click Bait" me into coming into the dealer if all is not approved. Jorge assured me on text that all has been approved by his bosses. Coming from South Bay, we drove with the bay Area evening commuters all the way to Modesto. Once there, Jorge gave us a tour around the CRV and we completed the test drive. After our test drive, Jorge parked us on a cubicle offered us water and disappeared for 20 minutes. Soon as he came back for us, he led us to Hunter at the financial department to sign the documents. Hunter shot his sales pitch for an extended warranty and Gap coverage which we declined respectfully. Everything was fine until Hunter advised us of our monthly payments. To our surprise it was not the agreed amount we had with Jorge.. We showed the corresponding text messages we had with Jorge to Hunter from my phone and he quickly responded by stating "not gonna happen". Wow, as Hunter walked away to contact his team, we decided to get up and meet Jorge in the showroom. Jorge read our corresponding text to each other and apologized for the misunderstanding. Hunter was quick to get aggressive and talk over myself and my wife about how the deal was not gonna happen. No managers, leaders or any other team members stepped in to diffuse or rectify the situation. We walked away to our car to leave as Jorge again, apologized for the misunderstanding with Hunter around the corner smiling as if he won by not selling us a car. I did not accept his apology because there was no empathy in his words or body language. I wasted my time and money but, I am glad that Mistlin Honda did not get my Buisness because, I work too hard for my money to be treated with poor inexcusable customer service. I will not recommend this dealerships to anyone. Don't waste your time, go somewhere else. Sleazy sales reps that will lie and do anything to get you to come in just for a sale. Buyer Beware they will sell you the car close to the MSRP only to pitch a high extendable warranty and Gap insurance that you might not even need when you put a substantial down payment to cover the depreciation of the vehicle. Horrible Service Salesperson Micah told me he had a specific car , I told him it would take about a hour to get there he said no problem after I got there and sat down and gave him my information he said I will be right back well he took awhile and then some he finally came back to his cubicle and said well I have some bad news that car was sold this moring all while he was holding the paper with the information he had along! I have been talking to salesman about 2 weeks for getting a new Civic 2022. We agreed the deal. I wanted to put deposit but they said it was not for non local resident ( I'm from SJ). I said well that's okay and just let me know when the car arrives, I will pick up right away On 1/26/22 afternoons , I got a message from the salesman that the car had been arrived. I told him I was coming around 6.30 to pick up. After driving almost 2 hours from San Jose, I got a call and he told me the car was sold by manager. What the fuck the business doing. That's a dumb dealership that is joking on customer. They don't hold the car, so they can't hold customer value as well. If you are not resident in Modesto, don't buy the car from this dealership. They will not hold anything for you, as well as putting deposit. Waste my time driving 2 hours. And get back home 2 hours. I was honest with my findings with other dealers, n honest that I didn't have the best credit but it was definitely workable. Well no not with Mistlin he gave me one deal n one deal only, no options! So happy to say I got my car from another dealer n I got the deal I wanted and that was in my best interest maybe Henry's 30 years of business (which he stated more than once) needs a refresher on let's see what we can do instead of this is all we can do. We had a good experience at Mistlin Honda. Per yelp it said they were open until 9 PM but they actually closed at 8. We got there at 8:30 PM and Brian was still there he let us look at the car and sit in it. I went back the next day and wanted to go for a test drive. The test drive was great so decided we would start on the paperwork. We negotiated with Sami to get the price we wanted. As far as signing all the paperwork the Financial advisor was upfront and honest with us. I never once felt like I was being taken advantage or uncomfortable in anyway. My brother went in Saturday morning looking to purchase a new car. We planned to look at a car that we had seen online that morning. Immediately, there were many discrepancies with the price that was shown online and the price the salesman was stating. However, we looked past that. My brother then asked if they offered a military discount. The sales man responded that they did and that the discount was $500. My brother then stated that their website stated that the military discount was $1000 and showed him the website on his phone. The sales man told us that he would have to confirm that it was $1000 and that he would need proof. My brother pulled out his Military ID and showed it to him as proof. The salesman then stated that he would need a photocopy of the military ID. We then informed him that he couldn't photocopy the military ID because it is illegal. The salesman was very insistent that he needed a copy of the ID and finally stated that if he couldn't make a copy of the ID that they would not honor the military discount. read more

My wife was the last car out for an oil change last night, and the staff was in a rush to get her out. They sent her out without reviewing her inspection. When she got home, I noticed that they noted a bad tail light, and they noted that all the locking lug nuts were missing. Front brakes also needed attention, but since they did not review it with her, we have no idea when. In short, they let her drive home with missing lug nuts (mind you they are $1.50 each and should have been replaced) and then proceeded to lie to me this morning when I called them about why she was allowed to leave without a review of the inspection. I don't believe you are safe having your vehicle serviced here. This is the second time we have had issues with their service, and we will never be back. I went to the Mistlin Honda since my lease was ending, I got my car from the Stockton dealership but since I didn't want to drive all the way to Stockton from Modesto, I thought I'd try this dealership to see if they can help. I walk in and the girl on the front desk helps me and calls someone over to take care of my deal. I tell the guy (I didn't catch the name, he had a scar on the side of his face) that I needed to buy the car I'm leasing, and he sits me down and has me fill out some paperwork. Then comes his partner and asks him in a stern voice "What are you doing?" and he tells him. Then the guy straight up goes "We don't have time for that, we have 2 sales to finalize, take her some other time". Excuse me? How do you know that I didn't have $13, 000 to buy out my car? Because I did. The guy with the scar tried to help but the other guy refused. All I got was "You said your lease is ending next month right? Well we still got time, we'll call you". Here I am 3 weeks later, still no call, no acknowledgement, nothing. I guess you guys don't need business that badly. I don't think I could've possibly had a better experience at a dealership in my LIFE. My accord had a check engine light on, so I made an appointment to get my car looked at Mistlin. Upon entering the vicinity I was immediately welcomed and immediately attended to. The gentleman that helped me was Randy. He was AMAZING. I didn't know what was going on with my car and he patiently explained everything to me. He broke down the price of what everything would cost before I left my car in their hands and was extremely kind and had a "can do" attitude. He consistently called me to update me on how my car was doing and that made me feel at ease that I could trust the people there at Mistlin. The service was EXCEPTIONAL. I bought my Honda in 2018 and have been coming here for oil changes ever since. Since Covid, they no longer take appointments and you can only drop in on a first come first serve basis for oil changes. On Saturdays there are so many cars first thing in the morning trying to get an oil change, which is understandable. But, I took off work early to come in on a weekday to find a sign saying the express service was closed. This was at 2:45. The website stated their cut off time was at 3:30 for express service. I decided to get out and check with the staff on the service side. Not one single person greeted or even made eye contact with me. I had to ask for help and was simply told "when there are too many oil changes to be completed and they can't finish them all before closing time, the express service will close." I was like okay that would be nice to add to your website considering I took off early to come get this done during the week when it would be "less busy." I was told to "call ahead before coming next time." Bottom line, the staff were rude and I accommodating. I don't know if I'll be coming back. read more

I came for the Express Oil change and was impressed: fixed price, no appointment needed, Honda OEM parts. The initial process was a bit slow - I arrived 7 minutes before opening and there was already a line 7 deep (seems like we all had the same plan that Sat morning). It took some time to finally be seen (understandable - it takes time to process 7 people) but after I was seen, everything was very fast. After being directed to the waiting area, all I did was use the restroom and played on my iPhone for a few minutes and my car was ready! Being able to pay using ApplePay was great, too. Low tire pressure light comes on. Okay. Check the tires pressure is super low. Make an appointment online. I live in Turlock so this is a trip. I get to the service department...to only be told they won't service my car to go to the building across the way. Fine? Go to the oil change building no one is in there. Wait 20 mins for them to find someone. He tells me its going to take 2 hours for them to determine the problem okay sure fine. I get a call that maybe something is wrong but they're not sure. But my tire pressure is low. 40 mins later They call back and say its ready to be picked up. I ask what was wrong? " oh we dont know but it should be fine just keep an eye on it." ... what. 5 miles from the dealer the low tire pressure light comes on. Thanks for wasting 3.5 hours of my day for nothing. This guy didn't introduce himself and sounds like he would rather eat rocks than sell a car. I had to asked him if he was an internet sales rep.
