Buyer beware. Sami Merza is a very dishonest sales man. He'll lead you to believe he's helping you out and taking care of his customers. In March I took my daughter down to Mistlin Honda at the recommendation of a friend. He showed her a few used cars and she really liked a 2015. When she applied for financing, he kept jacking her around and wanted a co-signer, at the time it wasn't an option. He told her he had to check with the manager and get back to her on the following Monday. Then when I realized it was going to be an issue, I decided to co-sign. Once he had that, he continued to con us. We returned to the dealership excited to get the car she really liked. The car isn't in the spot any more, when asked he said it sold. Then he decides to put her in a 2018 civic. And the con continues, when asked for my credit score sheet he's says oh yeh she is a 660. I had just checked prior to our visit, my credit was well above that mark. Throughout the entire process he would lean over his desk and whisper to us like he was looking out for her. She got the 2018 civic. The following day she returned to give her down payment and there sat the car she really wanted. And he never did check my credit. He just wanted to plump his own pockets with a higher commission!! He was nothing but a con. I would never recommend Mistlin Honda nor Sami Merza to anyone. That's right Sami, I saw right through it all. And I do believe in Karma, your dishonesty will bite you in your future. I shouldn't of even gave this a star but it wouldn't take it back. Oh yeh, don't be fooled by his employee of the month plaques. They were obviously obtained by his dishonest practice of the bait and switch, con artists tactics! Last week my friend came to my work to show me the new car she had bought the night before - it was the new Honda HR-V. I looked at this car and immediately fell in love. I have never ever felt like I extremely wanted a certain car before (well besides the car I was given when I turned 19) but on my own knowing I would have to pay for it all on my own! But this car I really loved it was super sleek and classy looking. Also, affordable and safe. So we (I made my mom go with me) go in to Mistlin Honda and we tell them what car we are looking at and Nick Meyers comes and helps us get inside and check it all out and he is so sweet and friendly and caring! It really made all the difference. He helped me play with all the buttons and see what they all do and how customizable everything was. The last time I took my car to Honda to get its oil changed, I was told that I had a nail in my tire and that there seemed to be a leak somewhere under the hood and that I'd need to come back for further inspection/repairs. I knew this was false because ironically, I'd had a tire replaced the day before. Never the less I decided to go back to McCoy's. I told them what Honda said so I asked if they could please take a look. Thankfully they did - free of charge - and all four of my tires were fine. The next day I went to a different shop downtown to get the leak looked at. I was told that there was no leak and everything looked great. The time before this, when I went to Honda for my oil change they told me I needed a new air filter and belt. I spent the money without hesitation and now I'm wondering if that was even true (my car is less than two years old) It makes me sad to write this because my family and I have been loyal Honda owners for quite some time. I still love my car but I will be taking care of it elsewhere from now on. read more

Ok.. Im a commuter. So i NEEDED an oil change done this day. I drove from manteca to get this done. It was sooo busy and the wait was est at 2hrs!! Only a few guys working so that was not great. They didn't have a shuttle so i was stuck there!! Ok.. Like i said.. I needed a oil change so i decided to wait. I went back 5m later and asked them to wash my car since they did not mention it when ringing me up. There was a charge for a car wash!!! Ive been to plenty of Honda dealerships where they always have shuttles and wash ur car for free after a service! I know i needed a oil change but 2hr wait, no shuttle, no free car wash!?!? The service department is extremely rude, with their condescending tone and snarky responses. Sorry we are trying to fix our car, which the media is calling a death trap, because of the airbags. I guess trying to help the customers is annoying and inconvenient. We have been customers since 2005 and have never had a problem until this scary recall. Some real BS!!! We are in the market for a mini van now that our 4th child is on the way. We found a great used Odyssey that had the trim package we wanted and a mileage we were comfortable with! However when we first looked at the car late last week it was advertised at 23k! Perfect, right in our price range!! We came back today to drive it and purchase it. But the price was different then it was last week. Obviously an error! But Mislen refused to budge on the new price. We even had a TrueCar certificate with the 23k price that had the car's VIN on it! They still would not honor it!!! Now I get it, you are in the business of making money! And the 23k was a mistake, but how many cars do you sell every month?! How much money do you make every year?! The moral thing, the human thing, the nice thing would have been to cut your losses on this one! Taken it for the team!! They want to charge for any little thing they can and if you have a warranty beware, they will do all they can to make sure it comes out of your pocket before they cover it. Went with a friend who was looking for a new car for college. We looked at a Civic and were "helped" out by Sami Merza. My friend mentioned that she was not buying that day, but if she liked the car, she would be back with her dad to buy it the next day. Sami never introduced himself and even asked what my friend's dad did for a living. The test drive was a joke. He drove the car 1 minute down the street, and then told my friend to drive straight back. He ignored questions about the car and didn't bother asking if she liked the car. Today my husband took my car to get serviced to replace the air bag in my car while I was at work, well to my surprise my things looks like there were looked through and sure enough they were I had $50 that I had in my glove department and missing and a lotto powerball ticket which was in my bible missing. If I could give no stars for Mistlin I would. I'm so upset and disappointed with them. I take my 2014 Honda Civic religiously to get oil changes there every single time also I bought my car there. I chose to take my civic there because I'm expecting exceptional service I'm paying more and I'm bringing my car where I bought it.. I was in need of my B12 service I took it to a master technician elsewhere to save a lil money and was told that my removal pan was hanging off it was installed wrong and missing a bolt also a leak that was never brought to my attention witch should have considering when they preform the oil changes they do an inspection on the car. I told him that I always bring my car to mistlin for my oil services ect.. and the tech said that's not the first time he's heard bad service at Mistlin. So at this point I'm furious. .I called mistlin talked to the service manager Sean who was NOT helpful at all! He told me he could fix the pan put a bolt in it and fix the leak .. I told him that the pan and bolt was fixed and I will NOT take my car there to fix the leak, it's very unfortunate because I did buy my car there and trust them to work on my car Also i did tell him who worked on my car and he knew who i was talking about..so this was an excellent tech.If I knew I was gonna get bad service I should have went to jiffy lube. This is our second purchase from Mistlin Honda in 18 months. Both times we worked with Tony Goss of the Internet Sales Dept. Which, in my opinion, is the only way to shop for a car. Tony provided us with all the info we needed to make a sound decision. He showed a lot of patience with this purchase since we really weren't sure which Accord we wanted, and had to take several test drives. We finally went with the Accord Hybrid EX-L. We absolutely love it. We did our comparisons with other dealerships for the models and other makes we were interested in. Our first sales experience with Tony handling the process brought us back again to Mistlin Honda. We also wanted to keep the sale in Modesto if at all possible. The whole experience was low-key and at the same time addressed all of our questions which included our financing choices. My life, and those of my two children, ages 7 and 10, could've been endangered due to the lack of professionalism and negligence of Mistlin. I recently went in because my car was making a metal scraping noise. After an hour and a half wait and after their service department did their 12 point inspection, I was told by two employees that the noise was not due to my brakes. I was told that my rear brakes still had 30% life on them. 3 wks later, my neighbor helped me change my brakes and showed me the inner rear brake that had 0% on it. I'm VERY disappointed in the negligence for my car And my concern. After doing a bit of research myself and finding out how dangerous it was for me to have been driving, under a false sense of security that was given to me by the "professionals" at Mistlin, I would never recommend anyone to go here again for any kind if service. My life should've been worth more than what Mistlin would've made, from my further damaging my car because I trusted what their employees told me. read more

My dad bought a 2017 Honda Ridgeline in August of 2016, unfortunately he passed away in December 2016. We took a few months and then knew we would have to sell his truck. We contacted other dealerships and they gave low ball offers. We wanted to avoid private sales, as we still had a substantial amout to pay on the loan. My mom contacted Quinn Lanigan, the sales manager, in January to get advice on what to do, and to cancel the Honda care on my dad's truck as it wasn't being driven. He was very helpful and quickly took care of deleting the Honda care. When my mom was ready to sell my dad's truck (February) we contacted Quinn and set up a time to come in. We didn't know if we were going to trade in my dad's truck and my moms car- and leave with a new car or just sell my dad's truck. Sami Merza, the floor manager, showed us some vehicles and took us on a test drive for a 2016 Honda CRV. My mom loved the size and how easy it was to drive. My dad has been pushing her to buy a Honda CR-V before he passed, as she had a non Honda car and he was all about Honda. Long story short, Quinn was able to get my mom a great interest rate, with a 8 year maintenance package, with a payment my mom was comfortable with and gave us a reasonable trade in value for both vehicles. We then worked with Karl Niemann to complete the financing. He was nice and answered all my moms questions. We will forever be thankful to Quinn for making a really hard and emotional task- just a little bit easier. He truly went above and beyond. We will be back for our future cars!
