It was bad the rice used in my roll was long grain rice not sushi rice the roll was so sloppy made it just fell apart

I can't believe it's taken me THIS long to review this place!!!! Misusushi is a staple on our weekly dinner menu. (Thursday's to be exact.) Service is ALWAYS amazing (thanks Lawrence) and the owners are super sweet. (Love ya Vivian!!!) We starting coming here back in December and haven't had a bite of anything we didn't like. The kids switch back and forth between Crunch & Dragon Rolls or Bento Boxes and request to come here multiple times a week. So glad that Georgetown has a GOOD sushi restaurant. Dropped in around 3 on a Sat, was greeted by a very friendly woman. I ordered hot sake, tuna tower and jalapeño escolar. She presented the tuna tower and broke it down with a spoon. It was very tasty with a hint of spice, the escarole came out thinly sliced without me having to ask. Everything was delicious and the service was excellent and friendly. I'll be back. read more

Go here! Yall. Seriously the best sushi I've had in Georgetown or Round Rock. Maybe even Austin. It's so fresh! They have a great lunch combo where you can get 2 or 3 select rolls with soup and a salad. There are great options on this menu! The crunch roll is definitely the best I've EVER had! I don't know what's so special about it, but dang it's good! I can't get over how fresh the ingredients taste! I also had a Skyline roll today and it was amazing! Nice crunch and not too spicy! I will say, I'm not that impressed by the ginger salad. Just not as good as some of the others I've had. And honestly, the clear soup left much to be desired. Wasn't very flavorful. Despite that, the sushi still makes it 5 stars. The miso was pretty good. Do yourself a favor and make this your new sushi spot! You will not regret it! read more

Not too shabby for Georgetown. Been to a few REALLY bad places here, but I have to say this is definitely a favorite for simple sushi. If you've read my reviews, you will probably know that I don't like pretentious places, and I don't like unrecognizable rolls of sushi. This place doesn't do a bad job. It's not perfect (the rice is cold) but it's pretty standard faire for the area. The only reason I'm not giving 4 stars is the bento box could have used a bit of fine tuning. I got a Teriyaki Salmon bento, and the salmon was overcooked and dry, and had little to no seasoning. Other than that, everything else was pretty spot-on. Will definitely go again when I have a hankering for Sushi and don't want to go too far south! read more

This is a solid place. It's a small restaurant but the staff is very friendly. They came to my table quickly to take my order. My appetizers and food came out within about 10 minutes. Prices are very good. I'll be back the next time I'm in Georgetown. read more

I love this sushi restaurant so much, I make it a habit to come here once a week, every week, to have my 2 roll, miso soup, and salad special for $10 during my lunchtime. I live in south Austin so it's about a 35 minute commute to this sushi place but I really feel like it's worth the drive. I have always felt that the restaurant is clean, the food is clean, and that social distancing rules are set in place. As a health care provider, I feel it's absolutely imperative that all restaurants have social distancing rules in place and I have always felt misusushi does exactly that. I don't do yelp reviews often, but Misu is a wonderful place with great specials and competitive pricing and it's really annoying to see a Petty Betty complain that the business was "too busy". The owner has been making sushi for over 15 years and will often go out of his way to communicate with customers when he has a chance- if it's busy, it's busy. Bottom line. People that complain that it's too busy need to just stay home with their negativity. The maximum occupancy of Misu is only 62 and there's not enough room for your ego. Thinking you deserve special treatment on a busy Friday night is just silly. For those of you looking for a place to enjoy delicious sushi try the cosmopolitan roll or the Vivian roll. read more

In my first two visits I was able to try most of the cuts of sushi and three of the rolls. All of the fish was fresh, well prepared, and delicious! The owners and staff are pleasant. I particularly like the Austin vibe I get from talking with the staff. You can tell the people here are serious about their craft and are focused on creating a great dining experience. For members of the family that aren't into "raw fish", they have an extensive menu of cooked rolls, bento boxes, and even Chinese stir fry's. My 10-year-old son had a sesame chicken bento box. The lunch box comes with a California roll that was a little "sour" from the seaweed but the dinner box came with dumplings that he gobbled up. I would not hesitate to take the whole family here, even though my wife "doesn't like sushi". There are so may options, I'm certain everyone will find something they love! read more

I love this little spot. We found it by accident and I'm so glad we did. They were very flexible with our order. They didn't have Avocado rolls on the menu but when we ask for 6 avocado rolls, they made them and made them very good. They looked perfect, the avocados were very fresh and the rolls were perfectly rolled which makes it easy for a person who still cannot eat with chop sticks like me. I wanted vegetable tempura but with broccoli only and they did it. The vegetable rice was so delicious. They made it without the egg for my vegan husband. Bless our waiter, Blake Burn's heart who went to the kitchen with these odd orders but he did an amazing job and we couldn't be happier with the food and the outstanding service. This place is awesome! We've been here twice. Both times we've been welcomed, the sushi has been great and prices are reasonable. Daniel waited on us both times. Very friendly and attentive. This last time we were here, my fiancé ordered the albacore and it didn't taste the way he's had it at other places. He asked the kitchen. Twan, sushi chef and owner of the establishment, came over with some plain albacore rolls. He explained that they roast the albacore and what they put on top. He gave us a house made sauce instead. The sushi was about the only thing that was good here. We walked in and weren't greeted for 10 minutes until someone finally cleaned off a table and said "Here" to us. Didn't get menus for 5 minutes. Took 30 minutes to get our bento boxes, and the rice tasted like plastic and the teriyaki chicken was cold and flavorless. Didn't get our soup, waiter seemed high as a kite and was constantly wandering around aimlessly without actually doing anything. The sushi was decent, but for $55, this was an absolute bust. COVID or not, the service was unacceptable, especially considering there weren't very many people in the small dining room. read more

All right, I am so happy to have found this spot be cause having moved from LA, sushi is a way of life and a must every week. I was worried I wouldn't be happy with the sushi here in Texas but I am so excited to report that this restaurant is SOLID. I am vias because I was very spoiled in the West coast BUT The sushi here hits the spot. I have been here twice and the service is great, we've met the owner/chef and he is such a kind and hardworking man who just wants to maintain his costumers happy and provide a positive experience. Our first time visiting with our toddler, who by the way made a rice mess, Destiny, one of the servers was a sweetheart and told us not to worry! So shout out to this lovely server who was kind and helpful despite having had a long shift! I've been to Misu a handful of times. If you're wanting a quick and good tasting sushi restaurant without having to drive south it works. I can only comment on their sushi, I haven't tried anything else. Yesterday my mom and I both got miso soup and salmon poke bowls with no rice and extra vegetables. The salmon was cold and fresh tasting which is great. The soup was awesome and our server was attentive. We are sushi/sashimi "snobs" and usually drive to Austin. So it's awesome to have a little sushi joint close to home. It's a super great, local place and I have recommended it to lots of people. read more

- This is Texas so A/C is important, thus why I begin with and make it known that it was nice and cool inside the restaurant. No humidity and ceiling fans on high. - Cleanliness, masks and distancing standards were followed very well. - All the Staff ( including sushi chefs) greeted me as soon as I stepped inside. - My waitress could not of been nicer, she was extremely polite, outgoing and mannerly. Good ole Texas Tea. - " Spicy Edamame" was average, not very spicy but had a good tang and taste too it. Was a bit over salted , but grilled / burnt on a flat top gave it a good taste. I would order again, and might just mention easy up on the salt - " Cosmopolitan Roll", the presentation was outstanding, looked incredible fresh, clean , neat , organized and plated with all attention to detail. Of course, YES, it tasted just as good as it looked. Everything was fresh, good spice , I will definitely be ordering again. - " Spicy Tuna Roll", This is another WIN !!!! Although not really that spicy, the jalapenos inside were crisp, fresh and brought a mild heat. The cream Cheese was very fresh , cool to the pallet and soft. There is a tempera fish that adds a great crunch to everything. We just finished a great meal here. Our server was very sweet and polite. The crab appetizer was delicious and the calamari was fried perfectly. My daughter ordered a roll that was not on the menu and the chef's rendition of it was even better than the original. We also shared a crunch roll and it was the best we've had in Georgetown. We ended our meal with a waffle wrapped around vanilla ice cream and drizzled with chocolate sauce and whipped cream. It was a great end to a terrific meal.
