Despite being conveniently located between our house and school drop off, I've ended my tumultuous relationship with Mitage out of frustration. In short, I don't trust them, they're expensive and they do mediocre work. A few years ago they lost the pants to an expensive suit of mine. They agreed to give me lifetime 30% off. After receiving this discount for a couple years I noticed the price increased so I asked about my discount. They informed me that the discount was no longer in place and nothing I said would change the situation. Repeated attempts to reach the manager via phone and in person were unsuccessful, nor did s/he ever call me back despite me requesting this in person twice. So now in addition to costing me a $1400 suit, and not honoring their promise to make it right, they are more expensive than other local places, they're average on turnaround, and their sewing/repair services are mediocre. Difficult to justify spending my money here, which is frustrating because this place is otherwise so convenient. read more

This have been my go to neighborhood cleaners since I moved to the area. Their service and quality of work has always been top notch. I've take it in countless items of clothes from myself, to my girlfriend and to my son. Every time, every item of clothing coming out clean and stain free. Which when having a six year old is a big deal. Their in shop tailor is amazing! Through the years I've gained and lost weight so I taken items of clothing I've needed both bigger and smaller. She's done everything from suits to dresses to jeans for my family. Everytime I get them back if always come out fantastic. The location is convenient. They have a small little customer lot but nothing too big. Their prices at times I think could be better but they aren't bad. Their front desk employees are always very helpful and friendly. Which is a key to me returning to any establishment. Definitely recommend this cleaners to anyone in the neighborhood. They get the job done is great timing. I would drive from Torrance to use them that's how much I liked them However they are extremely expensive & over priced , for my daughters school uniform ( they charged me 7.95 for the shirt and 7.95 for the pants) that is insane! Here's the deal, folks. I used to live right down the street from here, and have since moved to West Hollywood where cleaners/tailors are seemingly every other business. Yet, I still always make the drive back here whenever I need alterations done. Mitage is the absolute best place to go for tailoring men's clothing in this part of L.A. They're incredibly friendly people and always greet you with a smile when you walk in. The best part? They do great work and they're incredibly cheap. Alterations that might run up to several hundred dollars at some of the pricey shops in WeHo/Mid-City can be had here for less than $75, and even less if you have one of those 20% off coupons that they send out in that blue "valpak" thing. I've never gone in just for dry cleaning, since I can trust the many cheap cleaners in walking distance of my apartment to do that, so I can't speak to their prices in that area. However, the suits that I have tailored here are always cleaned and pressed perfectly. The only warning that I'll mention is that you need to go relatively early in the day if you need measurements done, since their tailor is usually gone by around 2 PM. Bottom line: this is the only place that I'll go in L.A. to have my suits tailored. They do great work for an even better price. Don't trust the sketchy places or department stores to do your alterations--take them to Mitage! read more

I am lucky enough to work for a company that gives us company paid for dry cleaning. Mitage did as good a job to to be expected for a large industrial dry cleaner. I found everything came back as to be expected and mostly I would send in my basic work clothes only taking my expensive items to another dry cleaner in Silverlake. I was pressed for time and needed a pair of black trousers dry cleaned so sent them in to Mitage. They were a nice pair of All Saints slouchy, gaucho style black pants. I paid a little more than $200 for them at the time I purchased them. I worn them a few times and I had not dry cleaned them at all yet, as I try to hold out as long as possible before dry cleaning at item knowing the toxicity of the chemicals used are not great for the environment. I sent these in and then when they came back wore them to work the following day. The black pants were totally shrunken. They were shorter and super tight. Basically now, they were uncomfortable leggings rather than gauchos. I sent them back to the dry cleaners explaining my concerns. To be fair though, they may have communicated with their contact at my work and the message could not have made it to me because we were all furloughed due to COVID a few days later. I followed up with them directly. I spoke with Raoul, who is the nicest man ever. He is so pleasant and so kind. I really commend him for doing his best in this situation of which he had little control. He explained that the owner went to the the All Saints store and purchased the same pair of pants to compare if they had in fact shrunk them. They determined they had not. So therefore I was going to have to accept it. I asked if I could see the pair they bought and see for myself. Raoul explained the pants were already returned. I was in disbelief. Was I meant to simply accept their statement as true and not see even a picture of the comparison? I asked to speak with the owner and the owner did call me back. From an unknown number at 7:30 am in the morning and left a message with no return number. This was on March 25th. I then called back and tried to get hold of someone who could help so many times between then April 16. I had to beg one of the staff who were there in the limited hours that the dry cleaner had imposed, to please, please pass along my message to Raoul. I have no idea why on earth it is such a big deal for a worker at the cleaner to call a manager -but for some reason no one wants to do that! I would not hesitate to contact a higher up so that I can offer a customer some type of resolution. But not these folks. Finally, I called back and I finally FINALLY got to talk to Raoul. Just so happens that they trousers they purchased somehow were not returned but were actually at the dry cleaners and they were going to give them to me. Funny thing is that I had called and said that I had purchased an identical pair and compared them myself and it was obvious that there is a HUGE difference ensuring they had damaged my first pair!!! So now, I have THREE PAIRS OF THE SAME PANTS. One smaller shrunken pair which are like leggings. And two pair of replacements. If only they had just offered this solution way back when, I wouldn't be out $200+++ buying a pair to prove to them they shrunk the first ones. If I don't laugh at this type of stuff, I would possibly just breakdown and cry. Three stars because Raoul is nice. Not sure how this huge, what seemed to be a lie at first, came about, but at least they did the right thing after me chasing them down. read more

They have a plant on site, it's brand new, clean and efficient! I bring my husbands dress shirts here and they charge 1.50 for wash and press, what a steal! I recently was very nervous when I dropped off my valentino coat for dry cleaning and stain removal. I tried unsuccessfully to remove the stain myself with oxy clean, hot water, etc. I was so relieved when I returned at three pm that same day and my coat was ready when they saw me pull up in the parking lot,now that's customer service! It was only 9.75 for the coat, great deal! I was quoted twenty dollars at another dry cleaners. I've paid 15 at other dry cleaners for my infants dresses, which isn't very much material. I'm excited to start the new year off with my spring cleaning and will be bringing mitage cleaners all of my down comforters for same day turn around service. It's been freezing, by socal standards, as of late so I can't have too much downtime without my down comforters. Very happy I choose this dry cleaner to take care of my wedding dress. I bought my dress used and it was very dirty at the bottom. They took care of my big, tulle dress. It came out beautifully for a decent price ($140). The dress has tons of beading and crystals on the bodice. And it was not damaged. Took a little bit longer than they said (over. 2 1/2 weeks) instead of 2. But I think that was because they were thorough. Very friendly staff!! read more

Also, I like that they give you recyclable bags to carry home your clothes. The Good: Great customer service. Edwin remembers each person's face and name. Very good prices. The Bad: Their cleaning. They've effectively ruined four pairs of pants for me. These pants kept coming back from the cleaners smelling worse and worse, like a smelly, rusty auto body shop filled with sweaty guys. I asked them to "fix " the smell, and they ran the pants through the ringer again to no avail except to further damage the pants through the dry cleaning process. Further, the pressing of the pants created the "sheen" that happens from pressing when an appropriate pressing cloth is not used. I'm very disappointed and pissed. This cleaners services many major hotels, tux rental places, etc. So when your clothes are being dry cleaned, they are in the same machine with those sweaty and smelly tuxes, etc., and the smell and dirt transfers. So effectively, my clothes came back dirtier than when I dropped them off. Their attempt to remedy this terrible dirty smell issue was to just treat with more chemicals which did not get rid of the smell, but rather added the chemical scent and ended up giving me rashes on my legs. The laundered shirts haven't fared much better. They also come back smelly like seeped in sweat and dirt. I'm going elsewhere. read more

This is by far the best dry cleaners I have ever used. They are professional and courteous (they even know me by name), and I have been so pleased with how my clothes come back.
