Tonight my boyfriend and I decided to try this new restaurant around the block from us and to our surprise it was the best experience we both have had dining out. The customer service was amazing very attentive to our needs and know the menu very well for suggestions. The food was DELICIOUS!!!!! I recommend the jerk corn, jerk wings, the carnitas sliders and the devil eggs (even tho the eggs could of used a little black pepper but overall really good. The manager coming to the table to check on the service topped the night, he even knew about the restaurant in which I manage in the west village called VIEN. read more

Awesome, awesome night! Came here with three other people for a nice dinner and the place def didn't disappoint. We are huge fans of Bogota, the sister restaurant, so we came with high expectations. The high lights were green sangria, lamb chops, and deviled eggs. But honestly, all small dishes were excellent. The only hiccup - my husband ordered seared scallops, which were brought out undercooked. However, even here, the waitstaff apologized profusely and brought a new order right away. I've been here a bunch of times and each experience is better than the one before. The service is amazing - super friendly, smart people. I always order the octopus. It's cooked and seasoned perfectly. The flavors on everything are deep and intricate. The chef is fantastic and really knows how to make you do an audible "mmmm!" This restaurant has been open for a while and I've waked by a hundred times usually to go to restaurants that were tried and true. I don't know what it was, I felt like the space was too small or there weren't enough other people eating there (I know, I know, really dumb reasons). Anyway, I'm glad I stopped in because this is a really beautiful space. It's much, much larger inside than it looks from the outside. The menu is very interesting with a lot of different options. I got the baked tofu (it IS park slope) which was delicious and filling and healthy. I also got the jalapeño lemonade which was great. Anyway, don't wait as long as I did. I loved this establishment until recently. I don't know if they have new management or what the issue is but the service is terrible. There waiter and waitresses have gone form attentive and detailed in their craft to not caring at all. I don't know if they are understaffed, overworked, or what it may be but I shouldn't have to feel the burden of their lack of service. I mean this was really and awesome place once upon a time. It is a shame that I am reviewing this place now. When it fist opened the menu was smaller and food was more delicious. As it stands now nachos are OK, tacos are tasteless and the octopus is mushy! Today I decided to treat myself. I had the taste for the Jerk Chicken Taco's. I waked in and was sat by the hostess Julio. He sat me at a table and advised me a waiter would be with me shortly. However, a waiter never came. Julio, was apologetic and explained the switch from Brunch and staff was a bit short. He set up, and took my order, and even brought me my drink al while still maintaining the front door. I just want to acknowledge Julio who hasn't been at Miti Miti very long, but handled a hectic situation with professionalism. Went here because this restaurant had great reviews. The guard took 30 minutes to come out and the service was terrible. The tofu pastry and the fried fish were tasteless and super oily but the veggie and tuna tacos were yum. Pretty place with nice food, I just wish their service was better. read more

I came to Miti Miti today for brunch with 4 of my friends. I ordered an entree and then added the boozy brunch for $30. An hour later everyone's food came but mine (an egg sandwich). One of my friends had to send theirs back because it was wrong. I was told mine would be out shortly. My friends came back out in about 15 minutes. After a half hour mine finally came out and it was was wrong. Not even an egg on it. Totally all messed up. I sent it back and was told I could order something else. After being at the restaurant for almost two hours and everyone already done eating for a half hour already I was over it and just asked for the check. My friends said their food was horrible as well. Anyway, I still got charged for the boozy brunch and was expected to pay $30 for horrible service and 2 drinks. I had to strongly advocate for the server to go back and just charge me for my drinks. He eventually reluctantly did so. I had to go get a slice of pizza after. Very disappointing especially after being a big fan of Bogata for many years. read more

Really disappointed with this experience. The wait staff seemed rushed and annoyed. Our food took at least a half hour to get to us. Once it was dropped off, we had no napkins, no silverware, and no water. No one stopped to check on us AT ALL. We were there for two hours because the service was so slow and every time we needed something we were ignored. When we finished our meal, we sat there for another half hour waiting for the check to come. Of course, no one came over, and I had to get up and go to the front to ask someone for the check. The gratuity charge is added in, which is just wrong. I ended up being forced to leave a $15 tip on service that wasn't even worth $5. To make it worse, they don't exactly make it obvious that you're already paying gratuity, so I double tipped by mistake. On our way out, my friend asked for a bag to take home her leftovers. I'm sure you can guess what happened. Waiter never brought us the bag, and after ten minutes, I had to get up and go ask for a bag. I am very disappointed with this place. They took advantage of two young college students and completely ignored us. The bill was over $100. I will never return. read more

My boyfriend and I stumbled upon this place today to escape the rain and satisfy our cravings. Ana was our server. She was attentive, and overall a great server. We were pleasantly surprised at how many options the menu had to offer. Given that we are both foodies, we naturally wanted to try all of the things we had never heard of such as "Jamaican Corn" and the "Lavender and Honey" drink. We were not disappointed. The food was great! Authentic, well seasoned, and left no room for complaint. And in this case, no room for dessert. Overall - a great experience. We will be returning to Miti Miti in the near future. The only suggestion we have: we would have loved to jam out to authentic latin music. :-) read more

This was the worst experience EVER. I got there & waited 15 mins before the waiter asked me what I was drinking. He then came, never told me his name, took the order, then I never say him again for another 25 mins. He then came & said that the food is being prepared by scratch. Which was a lie because they were really attending to a large party in the back. My table wasn't the only table waiting a very long time. Then the food came, I had 2 fish tacos which had no flavor & my friend a chicken quesadilla which were very small. We also had chips & guacamole & salsa plus jerk honey wings. The food looked good but tasted horrible. After we left I started to feel funny as did my friend. Got home & things weren't feeling right inside of me in a good way. Let's just say it wasn't a pretty sight. The only thing that was good was the drinks. THAT'S IT. EAT AT YOUR OWN RISK. Never again will I eat there. On top of that, there was a bug crawling on my table and after I told my waitress she didn't bother to do anything about it. Plus overcharged me on my bill. Horrible experience. My new taco spot! I thought this was solely tapas from a trip to the Slope last year but they seem to have reinvented themselves with great execution. Nothing special but not bad. Pork Belly Tacos- Awesome. Great quality pork and delicious flavor. Jamaican Street Corn- So good. Toasted coconut adds texture and flavor. Fried Chickpeas- Maybe my favorite. I wish I could snack on these all of the time. Bacon Wrapped Dates- Stuffed with blue cheese. Flavor is amazing, texture is ok. Wish they had something to make it feel other than soft. A little pricey, but tapas in NYC tend to be. Decor is super cute and the staff was fantastic. Absolutely worth the stop. read more

Best move ever, we had such a great time, bartendars were very interactive, made me special drinks and even sang too. My hanger steak was over cooked, very chewy and dry. The 2 sides weren't tasty at all. The ratatouille was the worst I had in my life and the cauliflower was the same. For our drink we had a carafe og green sangria 38$, it wasn't warth 5$. It was so weak like we were drinking water flavored with aroma. I would never recommend. Over priced with mediocre service. Probably the worst brunch I have been to in a while. I went to Miti Miti on 2/4/18. The place was packed as you could imagine. I was seated rather quickly and was waited on by a young lady named Nicole. Shortly after a White couple was seated right by me and I quickly noticed the difference in service. The White couple received their water, drinks, food, and were checked on multiple times before I was. The drinks were horrible and the food was ehhh mediocre. Now Nicole, I can't sit here and say that you are racist. But I will say that moving forward you should reflect on your biases and ensure that they are not negatively impacting your employment duties. And Miti Miti as a Restaurant in Brooklyn, you should ensure that the quality of your service is consistent regardless of who enters it. read more

I love Miti Miti and have been quite a few times. My go-tos when I'm there are the guac and the fish tacos (the crispy is my fave but the grilled is also delicious). The last time I was there I tried the papaya pico de gallo; it was good but I felt like it needed more papaya.
