3/24/24 Checking it out! Getting lunch! It's a buffet, but you can get what you want, have it weighed and take home. Greeted upon entering. Music playing. Asked for a to-go and a food holder was given. Then you go in and they have a large variety of options to pick. Some didn't look real fresh, but thankfully a lot of it did. Plus, o just didn't get what didn't look fresh. I got a lot of different tasty items to split for lunch. That included a fresh sushi bar area. Lots of options! Even got mini donuts for dinner. Checked out, the worker weighed it, and I paid for it. Good price for all you get! It's clean & safe inside. Music playing. Lunchtime! I set it up to make it easy to split. Try a little bit of everything. My half was really good! Luckily, I got to pick to get the fresh & tasty options. Mother felt the same! Good service & good lunch! Recommended!

I go there for the eggplant and sushi The food is always very delicious The staff is friendly and helpful

Mitsui offers great value for your money, making it one of the most affordable buffets around. The staff is attentive and friendly--once, they forgot my drink but made up for it by giving me an extra one on the house. The place is also family-friendly, especially with its charming little pond. Atmosphere The vibe is dark and dim but in a calm, relaxing way, with soft lighting that highlights the food. Multiple channels are available to watch as you dine, adding to the laid-back experience. Food The seafood selection is solid, especially during the summer when they offer crab legs. The raw oysters are good, and the cooked seafood options--like cheese mussels, seafood boil, scallop noodles, and seafood medley--are satisfying. However, the sushi bar is a bit disappointing, with dry nigiri and mostly California rolls. The noodle bar used to be great with a savory broth, but it's more hit-or-miss now. On the other hand, the pastries are moist and delicious, though the chocolate fountain doesn't harden properly on the fruit. The fruit bar mainly consists of canned options, but it's still decent. Overall Mitsui is a great place to get your money's worth, offering a wide variety of options that make it a good choice for affordable dining.

In terms of variety; sure. But quality is more of a hit and miss kind of deal. For the most part, not too bad.

Our server was very nice and friendly, making us feel welcome throughout our visit. The restaurant was clean, had a great vibe, and was a comfortable place to enjoy dinner. At $34.99 per person for all-you-can-eat, it offers excellent value for the quality and variety of food. I'll definitely be coming back and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for great sushi and outstanding service!

This is a really interesting spot. I will say upfront that it is on the pricier side--I personally…read morespent about $40 to $50 for dinner--but what you get for that price is honestly great. The concept is unique and functions a bit like an all-you-can-eat appetizer-style setup. You are given a checklist of various dishes and can order as much as you want, though you do have to pay a fee for anything you order but don't finish. Because of that, I made sure to focus on the premium options like the fried shrimp and ribeye, though I sampled a good variety of other menu items too, and I definitely felt like I got my money's worth. If the evening price feels like a lot, the staff let me know that their lunch pricing drops to around $20. That seems like an absolute steal and easily gives you the best bang for your buck, though the dinner price certainly wouldn't discourage me from returning. The food here is easily a 10 out of 10 and tastes absolutely amazing. The quality of the dishes is definitely the highlight of the experience, with the cleanliness of the establishment coming in a close second. The restaurant is incredibly clean, and you constantly see workers moving around keeping the place spotless. The service takes third place here, as it can be a bit slow when it comes to getting drink refills or checking in on the table. However, it is an incredibly busy spot, so the pace is entirely understandable, and someone did always make sure to stop by and check on us eventually. The overall atmosphere is excellent, and I would absolutely come back here to celebrate birthdays or fun group events.

We've been to Shobu twice now, and it's quickly become one of our favorite Japanese restaurants…read more What I love most is the variety on the menu. Whether you're craving sushi, teriyaki, or ramen, they really have something for everyone. The sushi and sashimi are incredibly fresh -- honestly some of the freshest fish we've had at any sushi restaurant. It tastes like the chef went out and caught it that morning. The 14-piece sashimi platter with a couple of rolls was more than enough for two people, and everything was excellent quality. The ramen is also fantastic, but fair warning: the bowls are HUGE, so definitely come hungry. Their garlic edamame is absolutely addictive, and we really enjoyed the poke in the seaweed poke salad, though the dish does lean very heavily on the seaweed, so just keep that in mind before ordering. Cassidy is new to the restaurant and waited on us. an Shewas wonderful -- super friendly, attentive, patient, and just genuinely great service all around. The only downside was the new menu design. The font is extremely tiny, printed on a small laminated sheet, and honestly very difficult to read. Hopefully they make the text larger in the future because the food itself is outstanding. Overall, highly recommend Shobu if you're looking for fresh sushi, excellent sashimi, hearty ramen, and great service.
