I haven't been here for years. I dreamt about it and went straight here for lunch with a friend. Saw Amigo is still here and got older though but still the same happy face. The food has stayed the same quality and taste as before. We ordered number 9 w/c is beef and chicken teriyaki and ended up emptying our plates of a large order. This looks very bland from the outside but all the excitement can be found in the flavors of the food. The portions are generous for the price. Delicious flavors, good quality food and the service is really quick. They make each dish to order which means that you get it as soon as it comes off the cooker. Frequently go here for lunch, and I've never had a bad experience. Depending on how hungry I am; I either order the half chicken half/half beef large plate or the number 12, which is the bulgogi platter. Plates are usually around $10, so they are affordable. Food is always delicious, and the owner(?) and chef are very nice. The protein is made to order (YES!) and takes a while to cook, so you may want to order ahead if you're in a rush. It had just been in my "bookmarks" and after not being able to decide what to eat, we were driving past Mitzee and I looked over into the shopping center where it is and made an executive decision to tell my friend to drive back because we're going to Mitzee. We did, and wow was I surprised, hole in the wall spots owned by mom and pops rarely disappoint, Mitzee was well above in amazing me and my friend. We got the #9, chicken and beef teriyaki bowl, I got the large for $11 and that was the best idea I've had in a long time! $11 and you get this huge ass plate of rice, veggies, noodles, grilled chicken and beef, all slathered with homemade teriyaki sauce (not that store bought generic crap, I watched the old man as he made it himself right there.) There's nothing special about the food here, it's convenient if you want takeout, but it's nothing I'd go out of my way for (and now after trying it can consider it crossed off the list). Food is good, served hot on an iron skllet, ambience is strip mall take out asian food, prices are reasonable. Came here because it had such a high Yelp rating, I could not give this place 5 stars. Parking is easy. Service is medium speed, and the owner does bring the food to your table. I would eat here again but only if I was already in the area. I went here again after a 5-year hiatus. I changed my mind - my opinion has gone from "mildly bland" to "somewhat tasty." It's pretty good. It is a hole-in-the-wall, so set your expectations accordingly. The prices are reasonable for the amount of food and the flavor of the food is good. A large teriyaki could feed 2 people (unless you're really hungry). Everything is sauced to the max, so ask for easy sauce. read more

Hands down the best teriyaki I've ever had. The beef chow mein plate is superb and it's always delicious. The only reason I'm giving a 4 star instead of a 5 star is because of the inconsistent proportions they give. The beef they give for the large plate is usually very little compared to the chow mein and rice. Pretty much you're getting full off the rice and chow mein and not the meat. For the price they should be more generous with the proportion of meat due to the fact that their competitors such as teriyaki meat gives much more for a comparable price. Overall a great place but if the owner is reading this I'd recommend giving more meat and not skimping out. read more

**note** i believe the sign out front says "mitzee teriyaki." this is a small, korean restaurant that's usually meant for take-out, but you'll occasionally see small groups of locals dining inside. it's a family own/run business with the exception of the cook name candy (not sure of correct spelling). they're very friendly and serve up a tasty chicken teriyaki that always hits the spot... and please make sure that you can see some teriyaki sauce over the order b/c as much as i like the chicken, it's the sauce that makes or breaks the dish. sometimes when i phone in for a pick-up, i always make sure now that they didn't run out of sauce since i was left with maybe a ladel full (at most) one time and found out the hard way how much it contributed to the taste. it was a sad dinner. that was in the very beginning, but now that i'm a usual suspect, they pretty much know how much i love the sauce. the menu is fairly small and for some dishes, essentially a variation of similar ingredients. i've tried the bowls, teriyakis, chow mein dishes, and soup. they're all pretty good and as i said, similar in some respect. i now basically just stick to the chicken teriyaki, but if you want some added veges, you may want to try the mongolian chicken/beef bowls. here's a link to their menu. http://www.menupix.com/menudirectory/menu.php?id=201654 overall, solid dishes and friendly people equals 4 stars from me. nothing fancy, but it keeps me going back for more. enjoy.. read more

I love this place. It's Korean fusion. I go here a lot for lunch because it's near work. It's also priced very good for the amount of food you get. Which is very hard to find here in LA.
