MIX Downtown (Sacramento, CA): Flashback Friday Drink List
    Savannah R.

I visited the MIX Downtown in Sacramento, CA [1525 L St] on Friday, 07/10/26, around 11:30 PM. I was elated to come, as I heard about it being a rooftop nightclub with wonderful music. Upon entering the venue, security personnel did their job per usual by checking ID and bags. Admission for the evening was priced at $15 per person. Apparently, I came on "Flashback Friday," which included a list of Throwback drinks for $5 each. The offerings included Purple Hooter, Cosmopolitan, Midori Sour, and Bay Breeze. I proceeded with getting the Midori Sour, and it was prepared amazingly by one of the bartenders. The selection of the music met expectations for the most part. I was dancing for a total of two hours. The experience was entertaining, including a mixture of music such as Hip-Hop, Latin, etc. There was also a Photo Booth to take complimentary photos. The machine allowed guests to send taken pictures via text messages. The ambiance was very spectacular. I loved the upscale, city-view vibe as a whole. The highlights included the outdoor patio with fire pits and lighting. I'd totally return to the MIX Downtown in the future.

Came here for a private event. We had access to both the outdoor and indoor area. The outdoor patio was so spacious and beautiful, just too hot on the day we went. But I can imagine it would be an awesome place to hang out on a cool evening/night. The indoor area was quite spacious as well with a lot of different seating arrangements. The food was very good! I was skeptical whenever you have a whole bunch of food at a "food station". The lamp chop looked a bit dry but was very moist when you actually ate it. The Kobe Beef slider was very tender. The Shrimp with the sweet glaze hit the spot. My absolute favorite was the poke nachos. I can't tell you how many I ate! Staff were constantly clearing plates and glasses from our tables. Excellent food, drinks, and service. Great venue for a private event.

Had a great time at the mix last night! Music was great! Vibe was lit, can't wait to do it again! #MiX #buzzybooth

AMAZING- This was our first time going to Club Mix and I have to say it was truly a great night. . I usually never write reviews, but i had to give this place some recognition. We called club mix to get some information to book a VIP table. We spoke to Maurice, who was really great. He answered all of our questions and you could tell he genuinely loves what he does. We even called a couple more times for additional questions, and he was more than happy to help. When we arrived at the front door we were greeted by Ryan. Ryan has a larger than life personality, wears a cowboy hat and really was great. What I liked about Ryan was he was not like the typical doorman that does not smile, pats you down and treats you like he is the gate keeper to your night. He treated us like a VIP, smiled and had a great conversation with us. He called Maurice to let him know we were there and Maurice came down to greet us and personally escort us to the VIP elevator and to our table. Maurice then introduced us to our server Nicole an they explained the process for ordering Drinks and if we need anything. This is how a VIP should be run. We payed more to sit in the VIP and we felt special. Maurice and Nicole were great all evening and came over to check on how were doing many times during the night and if we needed anything. The Music mix was great as well, bouncing from Bay area Rap and hip hop to top forty, something for everyone. It was a great vibe, and one of the best club experiences we have ever had. When we left, Maurice walked us down and thanked us for coming in, we took some pictures and he said to contact him personally the next time we want to book and he will be happy to take care of us. We have been to clubs all over the world and I have to say this club ranks up their as one of the best in service and Vibe. We will definitely be back. FIve stars!!!!

I always had a great time at The Mix Downtown Night Club Lounge celebrating my birthday. Maurice, our VIP coordinator, was excellent and very pleasant. He is very accommodating and always gets back to me very quickly when I have questions or concerns. Liz, our waitress, always gave us excellent service and was very pleasant and attentive. Two excellent VIP booths with some curtain privacy were reserved for me. I adore the chandeliers made of crystal. I adore the overall atmosphere of a rooftop with a fire pit. The dance floor was flawless with great music. The restrooms were consistently kept tidy. "THE PERFECT DRESS CODE REQUIRED" is another aspect of it that I adore. I always had such a great time. Every one of my guests was enjoying themselves immensely.

My company attended a private event here, and the atmosphere was amazing. A special shoutout to Nico who was doing the tacos!! He was so personable and nice, this is how you do customer service and he really talked up his job, which makes us definitely want to come back, love the positivity! The food was amazing, the bartenders were quick even though it was packed, overall just a great experience! We will be back! I might talk to my company and see if we can do our next hosted event here!

    Cheers!

This is my first classic martini (unlike lychee martinis I've had before at other places). My server asked how I like it, with olive juice or with lemon twist or another option I don't remember. To be honest I don't know how I like it because it's is my first classic martini. So I was honest with him. I said I'll do whatever you recommend because I wanted to try a classic martini cuz I've been watching Gossip Girl. I felt silly admitting I wanted a martini because of a tv show. But my server actually did his research and found that Blair (a main character in the show) likes her martini with a lemon twist. And that is the martini I got. He brought frozen glass and poured the drink on the spot. It was such a vibe and a great drink. For food I got the grilled prawns. This dish is delicious and goes so well with my martini! For my second drink I got the shiso fresh. I was debating between two drinks and asked my server for suggestions. He is absolutely right with this recommendation. Shiso fresh is refreshing and sweet but not too sweet. I loved it. Service is wonder and drinks are tasty. I can't wait to come back!

The interior is dark and light simultaneously, with its rich textiles and colors, high ceilings and the large south-facing window on the long exterior wall. Really nicely done and quite inviting. Travis mixed up what could very well have been the best Old Fashioned we've ever had. It's not my preferred cocktail, but if more were like this one, that may be another story. I opted for the Kumquat Kiss, which was delicious and different. Besides that Old Fashioned, the Hash Brown Lyonnaise really stole the show. Pillow-light hash brown sticks (how did they do that?!) with a scrumptious onion dip with crispy shallots and finely chopped chives. This is one of my top happy hour dishes of the year. Just wow! Try it yourself and tell me you don't agree. The Grilled Prawns missed the mark for me a bit, although the husband liked them. Tasty, but just not as much of a star as the other dish. Only suggestion is to have a happy hour menu for bites as well as beverages, as is found on the website. This would help avoid the need for staff to present a dinner menu (which admittedly, I was confused by) and acknowledge that the first course options are all available but at no happy hour discount (which felt a bit awkward for all involved). Overall, a delightful discovery!

This spot is going to become THE place to be on K street once people know about it…read more I was in the area and happened to remember they recently opened this brand new spot so I decided to check it out. I remember seeing it mentioned on the news too. I got there when it opened at 7pm so it was pretty quiet, but I got a good feel and vibe from the place. The manager also interacted with me and told me that just last night, the place had some popular DJ and packed the place in. He showed me a video of what the scene looked like and all I can say is wow (in a good way). The best way I think I could describe this spot would be a more intimate Las Vegas night club on the strip while not compromising the quality of cocktails and providing a multi-sensory experience of lights, sounds and energy. I left when things started to get busy but I am confident in saying that you won't be disappointed and feel like you got your money's worth for sure.... especially when they will be having events there. If you get there shortly after it opens, I think you can count on more of a lounge sort of vibe. When it starts getting later or there's a DJ spinning (especially a well known one), then the place turns into an upscale nightclub. Circling back to my experience, I tried their "Plot Twist" cocktail which consists of things like bourbon, lemon, honey, fig jam and walnut and it was one of the best cocktails I've had in a long time. Nicely balanced, smooth, inviting and little to no bite. Just a damn good cocktail that I really enjoyed. There were three bartenders there which were Karla (who made my drink), Ian (who made my second drink that I can't remember what the name was), and Danny. They were all really nice, fun and outgoing bartenders that made me feel welcomed while also maintaining a fun demeanor. I asked if it was ok with them to take their pic since some people don't like that and they were cool with it. The bar seats being a little small were surprisingly comfy and tested out the lounge seating which is also comfy and provides perfect views of everything going on (in case you ever want to reserve a spot). There is no bad seat in the house, the music system is very clear with high end audio, and overall you can tell that a lot of thought and effort was put into this place by people who know what they are doing. A couple of other things to note is that the menu they have on their counter does not display all of the cocktails. There are more on their website which you can look up by going onto their website. When they are in their busy hours, you can reserve spots and get bottle and I think that if you know it's going to be a busy night, it will be worth it to do with a group. There will probably be a door charge later in the night so be prepared for that, however I did see on their website that they do have a guestlist so take advantage of that! They do have a dress code so when in doubt, just dress to impress and you should have no trouble getting in. The average cocktail is around $15 and think it's reasonable for the kind of cocktail you will be able to get. Archive is open on certain days so be sure to double check that they are open before going. Ultimately, if you haven't been yet, this is one place you should definitely check out at least once. If you're more into the lounge vibe, get there early. If you're more into the clubbing vibe, get there a little later or check out their events for the ultimate experience. I will definitely be back and this place is raising the bar on K Street and whole area. Oh yeah, and lastly, they do accept tap to pay including Apple Pay, Samsung Pay and Google Pay as well as credit/debit cards and cash. Thanks for the great time guys!
