The one thing i didn't like when i was ordering was that this place ran out of ingredients and DIDN"T have more. WHATS UP WITH THAT? Somewhat inexcusable. They ran out of something simple too, like apples or maybe it was pears. Thats ridiculous. And the worker just barely mentioned after both of us ordered something that had apples. I used goto this place atleast thrice a week having had an inclination towards the healthy lunch. I normally used to make my own and all the time I end up getting 95% of greens and 5% of the remaining toppings.Sometimes, I dont even get 70% salad in the box packed for me. The tofu that they use is stale and my stomach hated me for eating those. I prefer them maintaining fresh food for the price they are charging. I like the concept of this place, it's nice to have healthy options for lunch blah blah blah but is it at all possible to make healthy food that tastes like something, anything? I got the parma sandwich and it tasted like...nothing really. Except the heirloom tomato. Too bad I don't really like tomatoes, except when they mesh well with the other ingredients (which barely existed). The bread was good? For those who have not followed the Epic Food Truck Battle of Miracle Mile, Wilshire used to be lined with food trucks in front of the 5700 block. It was a freaking food truck fest every day. The businesses across the street got mad that the food trucks were eating up (no pun intended) their business from the office buildings over yonder, and instructed their employees to leave their cars parked in those spots through the lunch rush and paid their parking tickets for them. Sort of clever, but honestly...if their food was better than the food trucks, we would go there. Instead there's just a mass migration two blocks down to the new location of the food trucks . Also, it was literally around 50 degrees inside when we went in. I don't know if it was a fluke or what, but I refer to our office as the arctic tundra (people wear snuggies at work with heaters under their desks when it's 90 degrees outside) and it was way, way colder in here... which wouldn't have been so bad if it wasn't the slowest moving line in southern California outside of Disneyland. Let's be honest, I might have given them three stars if it wasn't for everything else. I will probably end up here again someday since I work across the street, and I will probably try the cobb salad as a handheld salad, because how do you screw up the flavor of a cobb salad?, and I may update them to three stars if conditions improve. Pretty solid lunch place. I got the Cobb salad with mixt greens. It was definitely filling and a much healthier lunch than can be had at most of the other places on this street. I work in Miracle Mile district, and there has been a revolving door of restaurants in the exact spot that Mixt Greens now occupies. However, I think Mixt Greens is here to stay. Everything is fresh, organic, and made to order in front of you ( a la subway). I had the "bachelor" (meat and potatoes in the salad) and a co-worker had the "madison" (grilled chicken, white truffle herb potatoes, shaved parmesan and greens of course). But, you can also build your own salad. Both were delicious. They also serve sandwiches which I look forward to trying. If you are willing to pay $9-12 for a salad, then you will not be disappointed. It is a large serving, and left me completely satiated. The ambience is really nice and feels eco-friendly, with a fresh herb garden inside as decor. I usually don't crave greens but I had a salad from the LA MART in downtown a while ago and I was craving that, so I just made my own salad there which was fun! I got the build your own salad with Mixt Greens, Cucumbers, Toasted Pumpkin Seeds, Mushrooms, with other things but I forgot and with a Balsamic Vinaigrette. My only regret is that I should've asked for more dressing because I said easy dressing but I thought he was saying something else. But other than that the food was delicious! The customer service there could've been a bit more better. I understand the struggle of working customer service, because people can be so irritating, But even then, I try and keep a happy face all the time. My salad was enough for me to eat for lunch and later that day for dinner - both as a full meal. They ask you how heavy you'd like your dressing and does come with the side of bread if you choose. They hand toss the salad for you as well. I personally didn't think there was anything amazing about the salad itself. I think I might have been better off going the create my own salad route. The only place I'd go to in the Miracle Mile area when I need a salad for lunch (if I didn't bring my own from home). I love the whole concept of this place... you choose how you want your salad made. The variety of items to choose from is pretty good and the portion of the salad is more than enough. You even choose how light or heavy you want your dressing on your salad. I love this place even more because it's in my building at work so I don't have to walk far to get it. I think I've tried most of their salads on the menu but nowadays, I tend to choose between a Chicken Caesar (no anchovies and no croutons, substitute with avocado and edamame) and their Maui. They're my 2 favorites. The only thing I don't like about this place is the pricing. If I could, I'd eat here everyday... but my wallet doesn't really allow me to do so... lol. read more

First off, I come here multiple times a week since I work in the building. Obviously the place is a bit over-priced, but whatever that's fine. The ingredients are fresh which is great. The biggest issue is that the quantity of ingredients that they put in each salad has been getting so tiny that they literally throw in just a few pieces of whatever's supposed to be in the salad. I asked for an extra bit of hearts of palm, and they *literally* grabbed one small slice with the tongs and threw it in. When I asked the manager about it, she said that they're really trying to crack down on the amount of ingredients that they're allowed to put in the salads. Found a new favorite salad spot close to home. This is my second week coming after getting Mixt Greens through Uber Eats and have gotten hooked on their big salads and flavorful steak. Last week I got the Peaches salad (seasonal summer menu) which had fresh peaches, gouda cheese, corn and almonds with a zesty vinaigrette and chicken instead of the pork loin. The chicken was great and was well cooked but the steak is definitely something special here. Hands down the steak beats the tender greens steak any day, and you get less of the fat too. Every time I get steak at Tender greens, it looks like alot at first but its only because in reality half of it is mainly the fat. The salad portions here are also great because I feel like I'm getting enough lettuce and don't have to ask for extra like at Tender greens, and the container is alot more useful to keep your salad safe from spillage when getting take out. Although they only validate for 30 minutes, I don't usually have a problem because I get take out but I can see how that would be a problem for those that want to stay longer. Also, the hours are odd here. Mixt Greens is clearly a lunch spot since they close at 4pm every day, which is really a bummer since this place is a really good healthy spot but is always closed when I have driven past it. Overall, I really like Mixt Greens and is one of my favorite salad places in Los Angeles that excels at providing great variety in the greens department. read more

Finally a place that takes salads as serious as I do. To this day, people still think I'm crazy for loving, craving, and adoring any and all salads. And Mixt Greens gets it! I've yet to MYOS (make your own salad) because the ones on the menu are just so enticing! I love getting the Cowboy, one of my all time favs. Last time I went I wanted a meat free meal and ordered it with no chicken and subbed grilled mushrooms...amazing! The mixt cobb is excellent as well but not as unique as the others. What makes the place even better is the staff, they love the food they are serving and can't wait to give suggestions, etc. Some think it's pricey, but if you check out the ginormous potions then you see it's well worth the money! It's a big as many restaurant salads with far better ingredients! So you ask why four stars? Well for a place as wonderful as this they are doing themselves a disservice by not being open on the weekends. Overall: This is like the Chipotle (create your own) of salad places! It is a really awesome place especially for someone like me who loves variety. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars is because I think it can get very pricey for a salad. Food: If this is your first time, it can be overwhelming with the mass selection they have! They have your own create a salad, or their own special ones prepared, which ranges from $8.95-$13.95. I usually create my own because I like the variety. Create your own starts off at $8.75, which I believe includes 5 "staple" items. This means that you can get 5 staple items at $1 or mix and match and include premium, but that means you'll have less items. For example, you can do 3 staple items at $1 plus a premium item at $2, but as long as it equals to $5. I always end up ordering more premium items and going over anyways. Staple items include seasonal apple, avocado, black beans, caramelized onions, cherry tomatos, cheese (blue, feta, sharp), raw brussels sprouts, cucumber, cranberries, kale, radish, soba noodles and more.... Premium items like kalamata olives, macadamia notes, mango, bacon etc... There are also protein items (chicken, fish, tofu) for $3 and more. After they have your selected items, they ask what kind of dressing you want, which is the most difficult part for me because they have specialty ones that I want to try. Dressing options: mixt vinaigrette balsamic vinaigrette caesar dressing cilantro jalapeno vinaigrette lemon herb vinaigrette mango citrus vinaigrette point reyes blue cheese dressing ranch dressing sesame soy vinaigrette thai lemongrass vinaigrette whole grain mustard vinaigrette fat-free balsamic vinaigrette fat-free honey mustard vinaigrette extra virgin olive oil and sherry vinegar They also give samples of dressing if you can't decide, but sometimes if its crowded - you don't want to hold up the line either. Just be careful because your salad can end up being very expensive. I usually pay over $12 or $13 dollars. Environment: It's a very modernized and clean. This place is located in a plaza next to Starbucks and Marie Callendars. I don't like the paid parking lot because you end up paying a lot if you don't get validation. I'd probably give this 3.5 stars if given a choice. Honestly, I liked it better when it was Organic to Go but at least this new version offers salads in the area. I liked being able to choose a little of whatever I wanted and then being charged by weight, rather than being limited to set number of ingredients. Also, OrGo's dressings were better, especially the Miso Ginger, which puts Mixt's dressings (I've tried 5 or 6) to shame. I'd eat here more often if I could get out the door under $9 for lunch. I agree with the sentiments above that tomatoes should NOT be a specialty item. That's just silly. Their blue cheese, despite the fancy name, has no chunks of cheese in it and is bland. And who removes seeds from cucumber?! Why is there no broccoli as a salad ingredient or cauliflower? These are my questions. Aside from that, the salads are pretty good. I'd recommend adding the Moroccan Grilled Tuna, which is really good and can be added for just $2.50. Seared tuna will set you back and extra $5, as will steak. read more
