I don't like the noise when they make the salads. It's very loud when you have five guys shaking and mixing ingredients in steel bowls all at once. I think I'll stick to ordering my bowls online so I can just run in and out. This location is basically the same size as Oakland's... but it's in San Francisco! Soo don't come right at lunchtime, it can be claustrophobic. Actually, it might be a smidge smaller than Oakland's.... so yeah, don't come righht at noon! Save your nerves. Got a bachelor salad again, but with the dressing mixed in. The meat and potatoes got mixed right in too so they weren't warm like I had at the other location. Maybe there is a real difference between having it done in front of you and ordering ahead of time online! Either way, glad there's a healthy spot deep in the busy financial district if you need one!

New Year's is two weeks away, but I was so eager to wait in line for a delicious salad. I tried many different lunch styles in each of my previous visits. It's about time I aim to consume mostly greens. Not an entree; just a light snack. Here in MIXT, I took a rare opportunity to try this place out. I had been interested in buying me a huge salad prepped in a clear recyclable container. Lines weren't too long so they moved quickly to order theirs. After I chose "Be Well" from the salad menu, I still had to select which ingredients go into the first worker's steel bowl. On the other hand, it's better for me to quickly say "no eggs"; otherwise, my "Be Well" salad turned out not well to me. My salad must be absolutely vegan made with supergreens and plant based proteins, nothing else. I saw how the first worker stir the salad rapidly like a centrifuge, dropping few bits of quinoa and lentils. Nothing's fancy, so all it takes was to get the job done. With a free cup of cucumber water, I rather eat inside since the weather is chilly outside. Love the vegetal and nutty flavors in my salad! Takes a lot of chewing with grains and all. The cilantro jalapeño vinaigrette had a little spicy kick to it. After finishing the whole salad, I started to have a lingering green onion after taste. I would like to smile, but I forget to ask for a toothpick since I had some greens stuck in the back of my teeth. Anyways, "Be Well" is truly a healthier choice. I would be glad to come back for a same salad if I feel like it.

I love this place.! The employees are very friendly (particularly at this location) They know me by name and know what I order. If you are ever unsure of what you want to eat, ask them for suggestions. They are the salad experts and have a salad for just about anyone. The cashiers are also friendly and always in a good mood which makes my experience a pleasant one. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone. If you are looking to beat the lunch rush, get your salad early in the morning or after 1pm. I never have to wait for my lunch Thanks Daniel, Emma, Marcelo and the entire team.

Didn't find my $15 salad too impressive. Lots of lettuce but not that many toppings. Added Ahi Tuna and it had a flavorful crust. That was it. Purchased the Disco for my colleague and I found it rather on the small side. I know he's not full.

Update: found giant piece of black hair in my salad last week and my mix dude forget 4 of the ingredients in my Falef salad including the avocado so safe to say this Mixt is not pulling through like they usually do. Also lines have been absolutely ridiculous lately. But mainly the hair. Ewwwwwwww Probably one of the most populated lunch spots in the financial district on any given weekday. I'm always looking for something healthy at lunch that can give me energy for the rest of the work day. They salads at mixt are big and well worth the price. I tried the Telluride salad with no meat, extra avocado. The sriracha ranch dressing was top notch. All the flavors just really hit the spot. I love the seasonal salads for this winter, I wish they offered them year round. Your salad is going to run you at least $11 and most are around $15-$16 with tax. Tip: if you ask for your dressing on the side, they put more salad in y

I love Mixt greens- I do my usual once to twice a week online order pick up here religiously. They always prepare it right or make it right if I notice it is missing anything. Today I found a BUG- a MOTH WITH WINGS deep in my salad. Mind you I was already halfway through and then felt the insane urge to puke. I am also not someone who gets grossed out easily- usually I move that part of the food away and go on. But this is DISGUSTING. Trying to get rid of the feeling of wanting to puke is pretty hard after seeing that. I went back half salad and all to show them and they offered my money back which I of course accepted but sorry this location, and most likely Mixt Greens in general, has completely lost my business.

This location is quite smaller than the one on mission. The line however still moves along nicely, as there are many people working on the salad bar. The steak I got the salad could not compare with the other locations I've had though. It felt cold, and refrigerated, perhaps cooked in the morning. The mixed greens, and baby spinach are what you'd expect. A pleasant surprise was the cilantro jalapeno vinaigrette! It was sweet, spicy and tangy. If you're looking for a grab and go, this is the place to go. If you're looking for a place to sit down and have a conversation, maybe try the space outside, theres poor lighting and little space to sit indoors.

Salad world is right here. You can find any kind of salad here with very interesting names. Lines are SUPER long. Portions are huge, I never can finish a whole salad, $12 is a reasonable price, you can split it for two meals. I ordered the Cowboy salad, it was pretty decent and mixed pretty well with the sauce, meats and salads. I haven't got the chance to try their other salads because I always give up waiting in line. Just nobody got the time to that haha, money is time and time is money.

There seem to be a lot of Mixt in the fidi. Ingredients were all high quality and very fresh but be ready to spend around 15 for a chicken ceasar salad.

Walking in I wasn't sure what to expect because it looked pretty run down. I wasn't expecting fine-dining, but the place didn't have a welcome feel. We were the first table in when they opened, but unfortunately the service felt a bit cold from the start. Our server seemed disengaged, which set a less welcoming tone for the meal. The food was just okay for us. Our kids enjoyed their spring rolls and "chicken" nuggets, which were an easy win. However, the entrees we ordered were quite salty and didn't have much depth of flavor. Afterwards, we realized they don't use garlic or onion, which would have been helpful to know ahead of time since it really affects the flavor profile. If we had known that, we likely would have chosen a different spot. Overall, it wasn't quite what we were expecting given the menu and reviews. It wasn't terrible, but it didn't stand out for us in a city with so many great food options.

Lucky Creation hosted in the heart of SF Chinatown is a long time favorite of locals and visitors for their vegetarian and meat alternative dishes. There's not much parking in this part of town so be prepared to try to squeeze into street parking or park further away and walk. Otherwise, public transportation is always an option! For us, we typically just drop one of us off and circle the block while they grab the goodies. Their selection of wheat gluten dishes have flavor and texture profiles reflecting popular meat dishes like sweet and sour, curry, and BBQ pork. Each bite has a chewy and spongy texture which seems to soak up the sauces packing bursts of flavors. Eaten cold is our favorite method but I'd imagine heating it up is also just as good. Every time we come, sweet and sour and the BBQ pork are the flavors we go home with. Most patrons buy takeout but they also have a few small tables for dine in. The place is relatively clean and open, illuminated by the bright fluorescent bulbs in the ceiling and accented by the giant mirror along the wall. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. If it's your first time, consider perusing but also just ask directly. They may have some recommendations for your craving. Overall, Lucky Creation packs classic Chinese flavors into vegetarian dishes for those with dietary restrictions or those looking to minimize meat in their meals. The quality of dishes are just as good as I remember from when I was a kid although the prices like for all things have gone up. If you're lucky enough to have plans to go into the city, consider making your way to Lucky Creation and grab a variety box to open your eyes to a meat-less diet!

A Perfect Celebration at Greens…read more We celebrated Mother's Day and a birthday at Greens Restaurant, and it was nothing short of magical. The Marina weather was flawless, the Fort Mason views were stunning, and--miraculously--parking was plentiful. A perfect start. We arrived early and were warmly welcomed by a gracious front desk who seated us with ease, even gifting us beautiful roses at the table. The service was outstanding--attentive without being intrusive (our water glasses never dipped below two‑thirds full). The food exceeded expectations. Highlights included incredibly fresh spring rolls, a crave‑worthy falafel platter, and the Asparagus Pizza, which was crisp, bright, and refreshingly different with lemon ricotta and herbs. Dessert sealed the experience--the Chocolate Hazelnut Passion Fruit Torte was indulgent, balanced, and unforgettable. Why we loved Greens: * Outstanding views * Plentiful parking * Attentive, thoughtful service * Fresh, seasonal, local ingredients Greens delivered thoughtful hospitality, inspired vegetarian cuisine, and a serene setting--an ideal place for a special celebration. Bought my tix online and waited for the day to arrive. I included the offspring and +1 for the event. Got there early and found parking basically in front, a miracle in SF. Doors opened at 5:02 and we were greeted by the chef and staff all dressed in green like the Jolly Giant of commercial fame. The tables were decorated with flowers sprouting from funny shaped radish and turnip "pots". Did I mention that the dinners have been called whimsical......... So it begins. We got two juice pairings and two alcohol pairings and both were really interesting. The local Chardonnay on lees and the martini were winners in the alcohol category whereas celery ginger kombucha and citrus drink were rulers of the nonalcoholic category. Some refills were provided, yeah! First course - Miso celeriac soup with foraged herbs, walnut dill bread with kumquat jelly and chive butter. Rich and tasty soup with great bread though two smaller pieces would have been better than one large to enjoy the spreads. Second course - Lacto-fermented beets, roasted carrot, little jellies with spicy carrot salad and hummus. Everything was unique with interesting flavors and consistencies. Loved the little jellies made with agar and the carrot salad, Wow! Third course - Mushroom and beet pub pie over purple cauliflower béchamel. Amazingly flaky vegan puff pastry, don't know how they did that without butter. Filling was earthy and savory complemented well by the béchamel. Dessert - a selection of citrus based seasonal treats including chocolate, little cake balls, candied kumquats and aquafaba. Not just great for being vegan but actually a triumph. First time trying aquafaba and it really tasted like a light, neutral whipped cream. Big fan of the candied kumquats too. They even stuck a candle in the birthday girl's bowl and led the obligatory serenade. Overall a fun experience that reflects Alex Lauritzen's passion for vegetable based cuisine, taking it fully to the fine dining level but doing it with joy and whimsy. Staff and service were attentive. This was the eighth mushroom with dinners occurring once a month. They may also do pop up a La carte service but I'm not sure. Check the Insta @the mushroomsf for deets. We left pleasantly full so no post-Michelin pizza
