I order salads from her multiple times a week and they are always made on time, with care, and delicious. The staff always go above and beyond to answer questions about ingredients, do a custom order, or help me if I have an issue with my order. Julio has helped me on multiple occasions and is always patient and positive. This service quality and attention to detail keeps me coming back. I'm one of those office workers who's been eating salads for lunch for 10+ years. It's a rotation of all the normal spots: ladle, local roots, mixt greens, Mendo etc. I don't get sweetgreen a lot since there isn't a location in FiDi. My normal places are so friendly. I visited this location on a Sunday, and the workers are shockingly rude and unfriendly. I asks for chicken pesto salad on half romaine/half spinach. The workers told me this would cost extra since I was "adding an ingredient." In years of asking for this lettuce base, I've never heard such a response. Further down the assembly line, I attempted to make conversation and asked if it was always this quiet on a Sunday afternoon. This person glared at me, shrugged, and said "I don't know." Look, I realize this isn't Gary Danko...but for a $17 salad, most places in SF offer pleasant and reasonable service. Sweetgreen is not THAT good where comically poor service (along with overpriced vegetables) is okay. Management needs to fix their hiring and training practices. This place is supposed to be private equity owned, so it's surprising how shoddy the customer engagement is. read more

Their salad was delicious, but staff was extremely rude, and that really ruined my whole experience at this place unfortunately. I'll start my review on a positive note. I got the Steakhouse Chopped. The bowl came with caramelized garlic steak, shredded cabbage, tomatoes, cripsy onions, blue cheese, herbed quinoa, chopped romaine, all in green goddess ranch dressing. It was delicious, the beef was tender, the veggies felt fresh, and I felt good after eating it. Unfortunately, however, the service was terrible. The guy at the cashier today (Monday, 11/18/2024) at around 12:15 pm - he had red-dyed hair (photo of him included) - was unbelievably rude. After I paid for my salad, I wasn't offered a copy of my receipt, so I asked for it. The guy looked at me and responded, "So you can return your salad later?" and he stared at me. I was in such a shock and disbelief I didn't know how to react because he didn't seem to be joking (no smiles or anything friendly that accompanied that comment). After a few seconds of awkward silence, he finally handed over my receipt and attempted some damage control by saying "just teasing". It didn't feel like it was a joke (if it had been, it wasn't funny), and it felt like he was irritated simply by a customer asking for a copy of their receipt. To me that was unacceptable as no customer should be made feel guilty or bad for asking for a copy of their receipt. For this reason, despite the food being good, I would give this place a one star, which is too bad because the salad (again) was delicious. read more

Wanted to try this salad option near my office and went during lunch which was not the best idea because the line was out the door. Ordering online also takes a while which can be hard to time for my lunch. Making the salad was pretty standard at each station but the portion that they put in is always so small. Harvest Bowl - The one I've enjoyed the most since ordering from sweet green. I like the sweetness with the apples and their goat cheese adds a lot of flavor to it but overall it was a little bland in their seasonings even with the salad dressing added. read more

My husband and I are huge fans of Sweetgreen because of their fresh, healthy, and delicious food, as well as their excellent customer service. This morning, I placed a customized bowl order via the app for pickup. However, when I opened the bowl, it was the regular one, without the customized ingredients. Later today, I went back to Sweetgreen and explained the situation to Julio. He made it right by creating a brand-new customized bowl, on the house. What really stood out was his professionalism, friendliness, empathy, attention to detail and commitment to providing the best experience for customers. For example, when I showed up, he remembered that I have dietary restrictions. I'm so impressed and grateful. I've been a regular sweetgreen customer since they came to SF. The staff in my old 'hood were always friendly and helpful. My experience today was shocking. Julia was the only person working and I was the only customer ordering. I asked to order a Hummus Crunch salad to eat in. Julia glared at me, pointed to the other end of the counter and said "the line starts there". Line? There was no line. I walked to the other end of the counter (still smiling) and asked again. Julia looked troubled and said "we don't have that salad". I'm sure I looked confused and politely said the website showed it, Julia (still glaring) said "you have to order it online then I can make it for you." (Seriously). Julia never made my salad. Fortunately, after 15 minutes, more customers arrived and two more staff came out including someone I think is the Manager. Staff person Brandon made my order and he was great. Julia started acting friendly once the Manager was back. Please give Julia more training and do not trust she will provide good customer service if left unsupervised. read more

Their salads are delicious but I've experienced over 5 occasions now where I've received completely raw and inedible avocados in my salad! I waited like 50 minutes after my pick up time and I ordered ONLINE. Mind you I didn't select ASAP. I ordered at 9am and set the pick up time to noon thinking that they would see my order 2 hours before. When I reached out to sweet greens about that they gave me a $1 credit. That is a terrible resolution. They're always out of stuff during dinner and the lines are always long during lunch. Also please bring back the chimmichurry sauce. I am so excited that this new location opened up! I work right around the corner and it is SO convenient. My colleague and I ordered our lunches on the app and it was ready for us to pick up. There is a door further down for pickups. I ordered the new seasonal miso bowl. I usually like a lot of dressing but it was a little too much for me but that is my own mistake. My friend enjoyed her crispy chicken bowl. I will definitely be back for more sweetgreen soon! The location is pretty new and nice and clean. I had to ride home on BART with an open container of food. Not sure if I trust it anymore. Very frustrating experience. I was excited for this new location near our office, but that will probably be the only time I visit this location. Ordered the hot honey chicken plate. Taste wise it was a 4. But portion size was ridiculously small for something that costs $15.45 (pre-tax and healthy SF). Ironically the chicken was a normal size portion but everything else was under proportioned. Hardly any quinoa, only 2 cubes of sweet potato, one fork full of cabbage slaw. It barely filled half a container (not to mention the fact that they shrunk their container sizes recently too - good old shrinkflation in full effect). When I showed it to the manager, they just shrugged and said that is the correct portion size. I hope that isn't the case because that was not a satisfactory meal. read more
