Mixue statue and matcha soft serves
    Pauline N.

What I heard: Soft serve is mid, runny, but affordable! Do I agree? I think the matcha soft serve's flavor is satisfactory and only slightlyyyy runny. Let me preface I had the matcha soft serve pre-Grand Opening. The soft serve comes out as your payment via the kiosk is still in process lwk. Drinks might take a bit longer. I went to the Grand Opening today and accidentally ended up with the original soft serve because they were doing free soft serves with each order, and I failed to realize they were only doing that flavor for the deal. I did not like the original flavor... it was like a buttery coconut. I like coconut btw. Shout out Tong Sui. It might have been because I was already prepared for matcha, so my palette was still having a hard time adjusting for something sweeter.... a buttery sweeter... and coconut... who makes the default ice-cream flavor coconut? As for drinks, most of my siblings and I poured our drinks down the drain when we got home. I got Jasmine, my sisters got a variation of Oolong and Peach. One sibling, who liked it, ordered a passion fruit drink. I would come here again if I am craving matcha soft serve, which I probably will, but know it will be a long line if you stop by any time soon probably

The famous soft serve- vanilla and matcha

My husband read about Mixue in SFGATE so we decided to check it out after lunch. We ordered the Matcha latte and matcha soft serve. For the grand opening July 10-12, 2026 we got a free vanilla soft serve with any purchase. Items were all very well priced. The matcha items both have a strong matcha taste. Soft serve nice and creamy. Next time- I need to try the pearl milk tea and mango items.

Vanilla soft serve, tastes a bit like white rabbit candy (wasn't expecting that)

Was gonna give 2 stars because I'm a massive hater but the very affordable pricing (most things under $5) in this economy is a real added benefit and great for the community. I honestly don't like their quality of product. The soft serve is very icy, and it melts in minutes. There is an artistry behind good soft serve: a good product blend and good temperature. Their vanilla soft serve doesn't really taste like vanilla and is more like the white rabbit candy you find at Asian grocery stores. I don't mind that flavor but it was unexpected considering it's just called "Vanilla" on the menu. I think us Americans got ice cream/soft serve done right. Go visit Meadowlark Dairy or Rita's if you want a proper soft serve. This is cool to check out maybe once or twice and/or you're familiar with their brand over in China.

I decided to come by here at MIXUE to try their soft serves. It's still soft opening at the time and I think they're going to do grand opening this weekend. It's a very tight place here and many people came by here. Looking at the menu, I noticed that all items are under $5. I'm surprised because boba usually costs over that. I wonder why though. They also have a screen where they show the process of orders, which is convenient to see where they're at now. They also have like items I think you can get, but may need to ask them first. I decided to get soft serve instead of boba because every time I go to boba shops, I usually order boba instead of other items. Surprisingly, each soft serve is under $2, which is very affordable. The soft serve and its cone were kinda big and they're very delicious. I honestly would come here again for another cone, but actually wanna try their boba the next time they come back. I won't be attending for grand opening especially that it's far from my home, but hopefully it turns out well.

They have amazing prices and fun desserts here! I personally enjoyed the taro balls in their milk tea and their white ice cream. When I went the line was fairly long, but it passes by quickly. They also gave out free fans that helped with the heat. Parking was easy but there is limited seating inside!

Wow are these prices for real? Yes they are! Dessert should be this price! Affordable desserts that taste good! Yaaaaas! The soft serve on a waffle cone for under $2 that is un heard of! Also other desserts that are $5 and under and bobba drinks and other soft serve with toppings on! Still new so there is a line to get the dessert... so try to go at odd times to avoid long lines. Came here at an odd time so the line wasn't too long!

Passed by this place and saw the line so came back another day and still saw the line lol. Parked and got my kids to stand in line with me. I was curious because I saw they had ice cream and boba and that is a 2 for 1 for me! The line moved at an easy pace and when it was our turned we went to the kiosk and ordered 1 cocoa cone and 2 vanilla cone with 2 fruit teas. I paid and waited for our order. A lady yelled our number and then my name and my cones came out one after the other. I went up when I saw my fruit tea was ready on the screen and show the guy my receipt to get my order. I purchased a bag to keep the drinks cool while we got home. Our vanilla and cocoa cones were delicious. A sweet treat that won't break the bank! I like the cocoa flavor best. Will need to try the matcha next. The fruit tea I got was a mango drink and reminded me of the juice drink Jumex. I got it with zero sweetness in case their 30% is still hella sweet. I see it can go up to 300% sweetness so I still can't gauge what 30% sweet will be. Parking is horrid with the gym and all other businesses around it but you can still find a place. The space inside has some places to sit but it is small and it is chaotic. Song on loop is wild work. Customer service is fine and I hope it continues to improve. This is definitely a sweet addition to this plaza.

Oolong Float (plain oolong tea with vanilla soft serve)

Mixue's main appeal is their pricing - most drinks are under $5. We ordered two cones and 3 drinks. The 3 drinks together were under $14, including tax. The spring oolong has a strong but fresh floral woody aroma, while the standard milk tea uses a balanced black tea. Out of the two, I preferred the spring oolong for its depth. My favorite of everything I ordered was the oolong float. This was my first time trying a tea float - the oolong was lightly floral and overall very pleasantly balanced with the soft serve. I recommend getting lower sugar with this as the soft serve is already quite sweet. We went on a Wednesday afternoon and there was already a short line out the door. Ordering is done through the three available kiosks by the door. Despite the line, my order of 3 drinks was completed within 10 minutes. There is limited seating inside and most people take their drinks to go. I would visit again once the hype has died down to take advantage of the price point.

Bay Area's first location in Sunnyvale is *only* 45 minutes from SF. Lol!

"I love you, you love me, MIXUE Ice cream and tea...." The Bay Area's first Mixue location is finally here.... This Chinese chain with over 45,000 locations globally (more than McD) has your wallet in mind. All drinks are under $5, soft serve cones are $1.59, and sundaes are $3.49. Hell YAS! IMHO, their drinks and vanilla soft serve (tastes like white rabbit candy) are 3 stars and run American sweet (aka too sweet) but it's cheap so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Please be kind to the staff - they have to listen to Mixue's theme song in a continuous loop throughout their shift... It's auditory torture akin to Baby Shark on repeat. If you have the balls, sing Mixue's theme song for a free soft serve cone during select openings and special events. Check with the staff to see if this location is participating. O T H E R I N F O * For their opening, free hand fans were given to customers as a keepsake. * Three kiosks to order. * Don't be deterred by the long line...it moves fast and after ordering, drinks + soft serve are ready in 2-3 minutes. * Merch available; i.e. Snowman mascot plushie and blind boxes. * Five cafe tables inside. * No restroom. * Easy parking.

I vividly remember seeing videos about this place having locations opened far away from here on TikTok? I never really paid any attention to it until this place popped up about 20 ish minutes away. So I was like, sure why not I waited a few days, the hyped up lines and crowds died out. Ordered an ice cream cone with the regular boba milk tea at 0% sugar. To specific people including myself who tried many different Tea places, frankly they are all sort of the same? You feel some numbness when you realize many of these store types are sort of carbon copies of each other? Then to my surprise, somehow the Mixue brand doesn't feel like that at all? Taste wise it's a lot better than I thought? Even the 0% sugar in the Boba Drink was delicious. Nothing is excessive in terms of ingredient distribution , the portions are just perfect. Plus killer prices no other joint could possibly beat. Handled by a large team of casually professional staff? Well looks like I finally found a Tea Place worth driving for. People no longer have to worry about Tea being grossly overpriced, Mixue is the ideal solution. If things are too expensive, make it cheaper. Would be nice if every company would follows that model. I will make very strong efforts to come here daily whenever there's time for it

Finally got to try the long awaited Mixue - the first one in the Bay Area! Known for its extremely affordable prices (everything on the menu is under $5) and spicy snowman mascot (IYKYK), the menu is simple but filled with classic fruit teas, milk teas, and two soft serve options (regular and matcha). We went on a weekday afternoon so the line wasn't bad at all - maybe 10 minutes before we got to the kiosk. Ordering is easy and efficient, and this is the first time I've ever seen a customization option of 200% sweetness (too scared to try myself but for the brave-hearted sugar aficionado, this might be the way to go)! We each got a different flavor so got to try multiple drinks. IMO the lemonade isn't worth it despite the low price (way too sweet even at half sugar and tastes like something you'd get from a store-bought carton) but the peach oolong and other teas were fresh-tasting and a perfect sweetness level at 50% or lower. Many of the teas already come with boba - for less than $5, you can't beat that. I was pleasantly surprised by the matcha soft serve - it came in less than 5 minutes, had a hearty matcha flavor, and tasted better than McD's soft serve, for way less than their price. If it's your first time at Mixue I would definitely recommend going for the soft serve or one of the teas - you won't regret it! The servers were super nice and the decor in the store makes you feel like you've stepped outside of the Bay Area and landed somewhere far more exotic. It can be quite overstimulating with the music and the colors but a fun experience you won't soon forget. There are several small tables inside and you can sign up for their rewards program to earn points for each purchase - a way to make your dollars go even further. Parking was plentiful as the lot is huge. I see this being a hit and hope it stays for a long time to come!

    Get that grape with taro.

Can't beat it. $3.50 for boba and the quality of the boba is actually really good?? Can't be beat. Flavors are good and the boba is fresh. Throw back to 2008 Tapioca Express 100%...flavor and cost!! No $10 boba drinks here! New favorite spot for sure.

Came by for a snack the other day and it was a tasty experience. Mixue is located in a strip mall with plenty of parking. Despite the long line outside, the line moved quick. Ordering is done via one of 3 tablets where a phone number is mandatory for ordering. Seems like payment credit card is also mandatory. Opted for the vanilla soft serve and the uniformed and gloved Gen Z staff served it within seconds of ordering. The vanilla soft serve was decent and the cone was crispy. $1.75 tax included

The closest place that I have had Indonesian coffee is Kopiku in SF (but that is so far!) I ended up ordering a Klepon which is an espresso based latte with coconut milk, Pandan syrup made with palm sugar, coconut flakes! This had such distinctive flavoring that played homage to south East Asian flavors and was so comforting, especially when it was served hot. I love how balanced the pandan and palm sugar was. It wasn't too sweet at all! I am eager to try more flavors here. Service was fast and quick and only took max 10 minutes to get my drink even with a line. My favorite was the Yumberry Yogurt Drink because it was so unique--I've never had anything quite like it before. It reminded me a bit of a mulberry drink with a creamy yogurt twist, and I'd definitely order it again.

We also tried the fried veggie mix. It smelled insanely good when it came out. Thankfully it tasted just as good and was nicely seasoned.
