    Chicken pad see ew
    Gene K.

Huge menu with all different kinds of foods....you walk in and order at the counter, which I don't like. You pay and leave a tip?? I don't know if we'll get good service ahead of time...Mongolian beef was very tender, good flavor, a little too sweet for me. Chicken pad see ew was very good, good amount of chicken. Plenty of parking in front. Large dining area.

I know, I know I'm back AGAIN!! lol. My order this time was shrimp dumplings, pork belly buns, garlic pepper steak with fried rice, chicken and steak hibachi. Everything was full of flavor, fresh and delicious!! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

Best Asian food in the Asheville 'burbs. Attached to an Asian market. Super fresh, great presentation. Most Chinese places get their supplies from the same distribution place (they also have the same pictures up on the wall of the dishes)... NOT this place. Original dishes done really well. I had the Shrimp with Mixed Vegetables. Shrimp were large and veges fresh. My husband had the Hibachi chicken... so much food, we took leftovers home. Can't wait to have lunch at this place for the Bento box!

Any time a non-American restaurant is connected to a grocery store, is a good sign that the food will be good. The food all came out fresh hot and delicious. And the service was quick. The space was clean, bright, and welcoming. I got a ramen, tea, and seaweed salad. It all had the flavors you want when ordering those items. I'll be back!

    Wild Salmon Poke Bowl
    Lawson G.

The sweet girl cashier greeted me with a smile immediately after I walked in. I got the Wild Salmon Poke Bowl, and it is SO YUMMY! I've been shopping at the asian market next door for a little while and I'm so glad I stopped in Mizu today for lunch. Definitely the best Asian food I've had in Asheville. Being able to shop around the store next door for drinks/groceries while you wait is also so fun!

    Pad see ew with tofu
    Carly P.

Give it a try! We have placed two carry-out orders, and both have been great! The first round we tried the red curry with tofu, and while we put a note in the comments to make it mild, we both ended up with cleared sinuses from the spice! The flavor and consistency was perfect, though. The second order was for pad see ew with tofu. Mildly sweet and not overly sauced, the tofu was perfectly cooked and the veggies were crunchy and fresh. The counter staff were kind and efficient.

When ordered from Archetype, the food comes out quickly and conveniently. That's a great set-up! When I came to eat at Gan Shan, we sat in their outdoor space, which was cute! Service was very friendly and accommodating as well. I don't know which dish I would pick next time between the General Tso's Tofu or the Gan Shan Rice Bowl because both were equally good! They do a great job with tofu here! The Gan Shan Rice Bowl had less tofu but more additions like pickled vegetables and kimchi. The General Tso's bowl had amazing flavor, and you didn't really need more than the tofu and broccoli! We also tried one of the ginger drinks, which was good, and some sake. It's a great place to come with a friend and share dishes to try more options. I will be back soon!

If you are vegan, make sure to specify no egg and I added fried tofu, which really made the ramen feel filling. They brought us out a Ramen with egg at first by mistake, and once they realized, they immediately took it back and remade it, which was much appreciated.

It was a nice night and inside was considerably louder. Our server was kind and friendly and went out of her way to make our evening enjoyable. A creative and fun menu is here, we tried a variety of things the night of our visit. Sushi, burgers and a bar. We started with the Dumplings appetizer along with some garlic herb Edamame and it was very good, we asked for eight shrimp and they were glad to adjust for us. Crispy and a nice crunch. It was a nice beginning. The soybeans were fresh and hot with a nice flavor also a good start. Next some Toro and Hamachi Sashimi, both were fresh and flavorful. Along with a California roll, it was true to type, nicely rolled and good flavor. Next I had the Sweet Heart Roll, an impressive presentation and work of art. Simply delicious and so flavorful. This was an excelleny choice. Then the Madness Fries, a pile of seasoned fries with a mound of shredded carb on top. This is simply insane, it was such a delicious bowl and the combination of salty fries with sweet crab. A winner. My partner had the Vegan, a beyond burger patty on a Millet Chai bun the way she wanted it and said it was very good too. We tried several different items and each was very good to better. All in all an excellent meal 4.5 Stars rounded up for the creative menu, presentation and kind service 01172

It's light and filling. The ramen bowls are rich and the miso vegetarian Ramen is much more bold, flavorful than I had expected. The carrots and roots were caramelized with a sweetened hint. The ramen bowls are generous in size. I'm bookmarking this place to come back!!! The red blossom roll was very good, tasty with a nice crunch from the tempura, a 4.5. This place was a fusion of Asian foods so I'm usually a bit reluctant to order anything too crazy so we stuck with what we knew. Spring rolls were fresh and tasty. Haven't had it with bell peppers before but it was good with the sauces. Green curry had good flavor but a touch loose for how I usually like it. Ginger salad came really overdressed so we didn't eat too much of that but we really liked the cucumbers. Whatever that sauce it was tossed in was very pleasant. We also enjoyed the stir fried eggplant dish with shrimp. It had a nice sweet and tangy flavor. Lastly I ordered the pad see ew, noodles cooked really well and all the textures were there. I could taste the char from the wok but it did lack that "sweet soy" flavor I'm looking for in this dish. I would say overall we enjoyed most of the dishes and some just needed a bit more flavor but it was still a good experience.
