Ramen Soup, spicy broth, with pork ribs.

I stopped at Mr. Tea's for lunch on a work trip. This looked like the best option for what was around the area that I could get to on foot. I'm always choosing Asian food over American. I didn't have high hopes, but I was quite pleased and full when I left. The inside is interesting, it was like I was at a Vegas nightclub, Tao's sister nightclub. I almost started looking around for a dance floor. We were greeted quickly by a really friendly host, who wasn't afraid to joke with us a bit. The restaurant was clean and spacious. I was not expecting this at all. I had the fried oysters, I'm a sucker for these, if it's on the menu, I'm getting it. I don't care if I over order, fried oysters are life. I also had the spicy ramen with pork ribs. Oysters didn't disappoint, hot, crispy, gooey, it's what I need. The ramen broth spice level was perfect, my lips were tingling and my face was a little hot, but not sweaty. The flavors were good, but it lacked a bit of acid, which was fixed with some lime wedges they promptly retrieved on request. The noodles were perfectly cooked and I loved the veggies. The pork had a balanced umami-ness to it, but just slightly dry. I'd come here again every time. Great service and a delicious meal.

Two entrees, soup, and white and brown rice.

Run, don't walk to Mr. Tea Asian Bistro! We get takeout every few weeks and swear it's some of the best Chinese food we've ever eaten. This time it was the hot & sour soup that had us saying it was probably the best we've every had - and we've eaten in Chinatown restaurants in several large cities. Servings are large and the host is always gracious. We've also dined in before and found the dining room classy and comfortable. These restaurants have a tough time so please give them a try the next time you're in mood for a good and reasonably priced Chinese meal.

I came here with family and we got the sushi deluxe, the pad Thai, and the general tso chicken. All were very good, and I was especially impressed with the quality of the chicken! Our host and waiter were super friendly and attentive. Ambiance is okay, kinda dark. I'm from out of town but if I lived in Asheville I would definitely go back and try more things!

My family and I decided to visit the Asheville Mall today. We noticed Mr Tea and decided to have dinner there. We were very happy we did. The service was great, our server was attentive and pleasant and the food was delicious. My husband got the Mongolian beef, I got the Dim Sum and my daughter got the Shrimp Fried Rice. All of it was wonderful. We had left overs and even ordered the Fried Cheesecake to go. 5 Stars.

Our food was good got the vegetables gyoza, sweet potatoes & avocado sushi, vegetable dim sum and the avocado salad with ginger salad. We got waited on by the fabulous JB and he was great. The place was updated from Wild Wok love the virtual wall.

The food was truly delicious and the staff was super friendly - what more could you ask for?? +++ Ambiance gets a 11/10! I loved the music and colorful video streaming on the projector screen. I will definitely come back!

Wow, why haven't I been here before. At the Ashland Mall, but has its own entrance from the parking lot. The dim sum is authentic and awesome. My wife had the chicken fried rice, was great. I had squid salad and it was tasty. The ambience is interesting. Service was top notch. It's very refreshing to find something authentic in the Chinese cuisine category in AVL. Will definitely return here for dinner, some nice looking Cantonese selections.

Terrific options that delicious. Even for vegans. The avocado salad is perfect. The tofu is cooked better than most Asian restaurants IMHO.

New visit to Mr. Tea! This time I only wanted Dim Sum and that's what I had. It was delicious, absolutely fantastic and they changed the gorgeous scenery on the large screen that you can see from your seats. Go for the great food stay for the great show.

The Tuna Tataki is a must, really nice rolled slices or raw tuna with the peppers and the ponzu sauce, truly amazing. The shishito peppers were wonderful and nicely charred with a great dipping sauce. The seabass may have been the tastiest item, the butter sauce and roasted lemon sauce was exceptional. We finished up with the carrots and bbq ribs, which were crispy on the outside but tender as you bit into the rib meat. Service was stellar as expected for any Michelin rated restaurant. I'm def coming back here soon, the bar looks nice and they have nice Ramen bowls and other items I want to try.

Had never heard of it nor read a review but I'm always up for an experience without prior judgement. My wife and I decided to sit outside as the weather was cool. The male server who I'm pretty sure was either an owner, partner, or manager as his enthusiasm was intoxicating apologized as he's not had time to blow the pine needles off the patio. It wasn't a problem or negative for us. The menu looked great with plenty of options. I'm not an Asian expert but I simply like great tasting food. I ordered the L-10 Cashew Nut with Shrimp. My wife ordered L16 Spicy Eggplant with tofu. So we sat chatting for a bit when our server returned with two partly filled small cups of what he described as coconut soup. We hadn't ordered anything so this we assumed it was an amuse-bouche. After taking one spoonful we looked at each other and thought, we need to get a full bowl of this. It was one of the most incredible soups I've ever had in my life. And yes, I'm gushing over soup. While I don't know the actual ingredients other than a slice of mushroom and a few slices for green onion, the coconut and lime flavors in this clear broth is something we're still talking about and that was 2 days ago. For those who don't care about soup, the Spicy Eggplant and Cashew Nut were also incredibly delicious but next time we go, we've already decided we will order a full bowl of the Coconut Soup.
