Friends love Miyako House and now I see why. Food was freshly prepared and delicious. Ambience is bright and roomy. Service was excellent. Some reviewers may be posting for the wrong establishment, e.g. they don't have a parking lot. Only street parking and in a nearby garage.

Ordered for delivery twice in the span of 4 days- great amount for the price and very quick. I'd absolutely order from again.

I needed sushi to eat in my hotel bed because that's how I roll. I ordered the Boston Roll and an Avocado Roll and both were pretty good and standard. I want to go back and try some speciality rolls the next time we stop through Asheville. I'd recommend them based on my DoorDash experience, especially if you're looking for solid and affordable rolls.

The enticing cooking aroma lured us in, but my request for Thai style (spicy & chopped chicken) Thai Chicken Basil was denied. The food arrived swiftly but not piping hot, indicating pre-preparation. While the plates were visually appealing, there was too much fish sauce, but fell short in authenticity and flavor. We decided to try Miyako house based on the generous Yelp reviews. The inside is pretty big, and the staff was super friendly. We split a volcano sushi roll and the teriyaki chicken entree. We really enjoyed the sushi, but the chicken teriyaki was average in my opinion. The sauce that came with it was the best part. It was definitely enough for two people, though. Overall, this place is worthy of 3.5 stars in my book but because of the friendly staff, I'm upping it to 4.

What a great way to spend Christmas Day. Because it was Christmas Day I was expecting a really big crowd and to my surprise it was actually the complete opposite. My friends & I were able to come right in and sit down. They had a full menu and drink menu even on Christmas day. The food was exceptionally hot and super fresh and the portions were so large. What I liked most about this place was that the food was not greasy or heavy like some other places I have been . Hands down recommend this place when your in the Asheville area. If you check in on Yelp there is also a coupon you can use as well .

Miyako served a salmon with mango roll that was different and delicious! My cousin and her partner liked their fish tempura and spicy shrimp roll as well. And the fried green tea ice cream was the perfect finish. The meal and staff were both a pleasure.

The owner, Jessica, is always very friendly and gives amazing service. My wife and I have been six times and tried something new on the menu every time. Absolutely everything has been delicious and fresh! We leave feeling full but not gross.

Yummy sushi. Loved having multiple vegetarian rolls to chose from for myself. My husband loved his rolls also. He said seafood was fresh.

Great local place, fresh big portions and reasonable prices. We eat once a week between 2 and 4 and never pay for parking.

It is located in downtown Asheville so there is no immediate parking lot but there are some places nearby or street parking, The inside is very modern and there is seating both inside and outside. Our server was very friendly and service was very prompt! My family got the Lo Mein with Chicken, Chow Fun with Beef, Sautéed String Bean, Buddha Bean Curd Rolls, Crystal Shrimp Dumplings, and Spicy Chicken. I loved the Crystal Shrimp Dumplings! The wrapper was very tender and the shrimp filling was delicious. It tasted very authentic to me. I also loved the Sautéed String Bean as it had the right amount of garlicky sauce. The Lo Mein was made with thinner than usual noodles but still tasted good. I think the Chow Fun tasted a bit off. It kind of tasted a bit sweet and like drunken noodles at some points as opposed to the traditional smoky flavor that the dish has. The rice noodles that were used were also thin as opposed to the usual wider noodles. As for the Spicy Chicken, it tasted solid. I liked the slight crisp before biting into each piece and it was not really spicy. I definitely tasted the cumin (I am not a super big fan of), which is a popular flavor found in Szechuan cuisine. Overall, I think this is a nice spot for some Chinese food, especially being near the mountains which is more isolated. I would probably rate it a 3.75/5 stars if I could. I wish chicken feet were part of their dim sum menu (it is pretty small and there are no rolling carts in case anyone is wondering). I do think some flavors of the food I tasted seem to cater a bit more to the Western taste palate (my parents agree as well), but I enjoyed my time here.

It felt more personalized than what you normally expect at a restaurant. The server was cheerful and made us laugh. We ordered the house salad, which was fresh and the ginger dressing tasty. Then, because I was so overwhelmed at the huge selection of veggie sushi (and figured them I could have lunch tomorrow), I ordered 3 rolls and some nigiri. The sweet potato roll was great - crispy with a little eel sauce on top. I added cream cheese to the avocado, asparagus, cucumber roll (which happens to be my favorite roll), and they added it with ease and for a fair cost (some places scramble when I ask for this roll). The joy roll with the tofu and crunch inside was so creative and great - probably my favorite roll. Then, I love it when places have the tofu skin nigiri, and they def had a good one. Not to mention, the presentation on our dishes was beautiful and so unique. After trying several places around Asheville, we now have a new go-to place for sushi for sure. We will be back!

The staff were extremely helpful. I mentioned I was looking for vegetarian options, and the bar tender thoughtfully guided me through the various options on both the tapas and ramen menus. That made for a great experience. In terms of the food, I opted for the miso eggplant and the garlic butter broccoli. Both were excellent. The miso eggplant is served as well cooked Japanese eggplant with a light tempura treatment and somewhat sweet miso glaze. Not too heavy, but still delicious and nicely textured. The broccoli was perfectly cooked with lots of flavor. It made for a nice pairing. In terms of beer, they had a few different local beers on tap. I went for a local pale ale. Great. In any case, this place is highly recommended. I suspect their vegetarian ramen would probably be pretty good, but that was a little heavier than what I was looking for. It was nice to have a few other vegetable forward options available as a backup.
