I have been here several times and unfortunately, the food quality and portions are inconsistent. The Ramen portions are usually large, but the Gyudon, please reference the photo, has been a disappointment. I have asked for it to be made several times and you never know what you will get. Sauce in the bowl, no sauce, small portion of meat, a decent portion of meat, sometimes comes with sauce on the side, other times it hasn't. Note to the owner: have your chef's measure your portion sizes. Especially when it comes to meat. It should be consistent. The price is much too high to get a portion so small. Rice cost even with inflation is very cheap. The photo of the gyudon is all the meat that came in this meal. I would have asked for a refund if it didn't embarrass my wife. Sunday evening...seated quickly. Service was quick. Issue: FLIES! Honestly, I should have known before I walked in because of how terrible is smelled outdoors. The smell was extremely repugnant. I'm not sure if I'll return after the horrible smell prior to entering the establishment and all the flies while dining indoors. If we were outdoors, I think I would be more tolerable. On the other hand, our waiter was outstanding and the food was delicious. I absolutely love a spicy Ramen dish. Four and a half hours later, I'm not sick. This was my 4th visit. My first visit occurred when they first opened and there weren't alcoholic beverages being offered. Only Ramen. I worked here for over a year and it was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. The whole place was a mess and run terribly, but to mention most everyone who works there is extremely rude and racist. The kitchen is a wreck too. None of the food is made in house. The broth comes shipped in bags, the noodles are frozen, the same okonomiyaki used there can be found in the freezer section of the Asian grocery store, not to mention that the crepe cakes they sell are also at the Asian market for only $3 ( mizu sells them for about $7) Not to mention the place is always nasty. There's roaches and fruit flies and no matter how many times I brought it up to my manager, or customers complained, nothing was fixed. The back of house was no better and the freezer where all the food was kept was never organized and was a cross contamination breeding ground. Cooked meat next to raw meat, deserts next to raw meat juices, the beer taps draining on the floor. I tried bringing up these issues and other ones and was just constantly told that I was complaining and nothing was ever changed. The men that worked with us were sexist and would always physically push us and verbally berate us and I don't think they liked that I didn't take it quietly. Despite the manager always telling me that I was hardworking and if only every employee he had was like me, they still fired me because I called him out for yelling at and treating the 16 year old host like garbage. Even though I was basically doing his job for free, taking inventory, getting supplies for the store, handling manager calls because he doesn't speak fluent English, ect. And not only that, but then he tried to lie and say I was a terribly employee and didn't do my job whenever I tried to file for unemployment. One of my favorite spots in Columbus. I have been here multiple times and always get a bowl of ramen and finish it every time. The flavor is always consistent. Service is great. The servers are very attentive and will check on you multiple times. My favorite appetizers to order are the pork gyoza and the pork belly buns. read more

Great food, reminds me of a place I visited in Akihibara. The people here like Japanese culture and cuisine and are very helpful explaining the dishes. They're willing to help you find what you will like from the menu. They're also knowledgeable about Japanese culture like anime and festivals. They're always playing anime from Netflix on the screens. Would like to see a few more yakitori options on the menu, but the Octopus balls (Takoyaki) are a well-known specialty of Osaka: definitely a bucket list entry. This new ramen bar is amazing. I would tell everyone to come and try it out. The staff were very knowledgeable of the menu and very nice. This establishment is very price friendly. The noodles are very thick but very tasty. I swear you will not need to add to seasoning at all. I ordered the spicy shrimp bowl. I will tell you this please get the chicken curry rice bowl. When I tell you it is amazing and you will definitely be hooked on it. I have one bad thing to say is that the pictures don't represent the true items you will get in your bowl. I've come to this restaurant multiple times, and I'm always happy and leaving with a full stomach. They have a wide variety of flavors as well as drinks that you can order. One downside is we ordered the octopus appetizer on the menu it shows a picture of rings like calamari style however, as you can see in this review photo, it is actually baby octopuses not rings, so is very shell shocking to see on our table. We've ordered multiple different kinds of Ramen only took pictures of the first few that is of my negligence. All the Ramen we've had have had great flavor good portions and can appreciate the spices. You can add yourself on the bowl that are at each table the sake was great. The lemonade was great, I think this place would benefit from also doing a create your own bowl Ramen for more picky eaters. the guy appetizer is always a fan favorite. We love this place they used to have a devil or demon bowl. They need to bring that back. I'd love to take on that challenge or even a giant Ramen bowl challenge would be an excellent publicity statement for this place. The Tonkotsu black Ramen was bland and with the added toppings it ended up being a $20 bowl of mediocre ramen. The beans sprouts and "fresh" mushrooms were from a can, not fresh at all. The pork belly bun was underwhelming. The Takoyaki was good, I enjoyed it although it had very little octopus. I was annoyed at how many flies were around our table. I wish I could give negative stars because they do not even deserve a 1. I don't live fat from this place and read their reviews. I must have picked a bad day. I ordered the pork belly bun, the Karrage chicken ramen and the gyoza. I got home and open the pirk belly hun first. The bottom was soggy wet. I took a couple of bites and it tasted weird, put that a side and went on to try the gyoza and after eating one it tasted fishy not in the good sense but in the way spoiled fish smells. I tried the ramen next, the chicken was tough and tasted old and the egg was a brownish color on the outside, after a few sips of the broth I knew something was wrong. I rushed immediately to the bathroom and violently expelled my stomach contents and had have diarrhea most of the night. $25 down the drain. Never again Mizu! read more

Three stars is the seat I can give if I'm being honest. This is due to two things, our server and the food (half of it anyway). The space is nice, good wall art and decor. There is pretty large, for the space, self seating bar. A large prep area and ample size eating space. The outdoor area is a good size as well. Out server, while nice, was not built to serve. Not very sure of himself and was more interested in talking tattoos with the table behind us then attending to our needs. The owner had to collect our bill, not her job. It was a soft opening so only 5 bowls were available but we were told when we were sat. I ordered the spicy pork Ramen which was spicy at all, great flavor but no heat to speak of. The kids meal is underwhelming to say the least, zero flavor no salt. Kids like flavor too. The #3 ramen was descent, I'd order that. But the vegetarian ramen was also bland. I'm surprised because the owner told me the broth goes for 12 hours. I think they had ample time to taste, add salt, add garlic stock...add something because it was not inviting to say the least. I brought it home, add a bit of garlic stick and bonito flakes and wow, it woke it from dead. The apps were good but I had to request the sauce that should have been served with the Gyoza. The server was stump when asked. The front of house owner was watching over everything so I think they will get right but considering the market that is Columbus, they need to step up to flavor town on some of these broths. Ramen is hard to mess up as it takes on the character of the broth. If they get the character right and sharpen the service a bit, this place should catch fire. read more

Finally made it here... We were seated and ignored for 15 minutes. A table that sat down after us was served. They definitely need better staffing/training. The seating in this place is tight. You're placed at the same table as other patrons. I had my reservations on the food here. I've heard and read all the reviews about how flavorless the food is. We tried the Crispy chicken and it was edible. The sauce was too lemony. The ramen was subpar. I asked for Spicy tonkatasu ramen, "hot", which was the hottest they offered and the ramen came out with zero spice. No oil or color change in the cloudy broth.. I asked for oil/spice and after putting it in myself the broth tasted like spicy water. The pork was dry, they charged for an extra piece of seaweed that was smaller than the one that came with the ramen. Egg was okay. The strangest thing added to the ramen was spinach. They ran out of bamboo, so that was missing. I would say I would not come back. Service was horrendous. I had to waive people down to bring us drinks and bring us utensils and take our order. Food was subpar( watered down broth). They didn't have everything on the menu, which is ridiculous since they just opened. read more

My son and I live going to Mizu Ramen! The food is great, the staff is great. No complaints and I could eat there everyday.

I personally didn't like it. There was some kind of weird egg in it. I'm sure other people would love it, just not my taste.

Overall very good. Yes they are new so they have a few issues with wait time but honestly it wasn't bad. Would definitely recommend sitting at the bar because you get seated faster. Of course it would just be 2 or 3 of you instead of 6. Staff was nice. Food was flavorful and spicy. The egg was cold in the center, definitely need to improve there. The owner also seemed to stand in the corner lurking and watching. He would meander over to tables and ask how the food was or take the occasional check/ drink. The best management I've seen puts in the work along side their employees, they are bussing tables, taking orders or generally helping in all areas.
