Love this place and can't wait to go back! I've only been there once, but it embodies everything I love about an eating experience. I went on a Friday for a late night dinner. The ambiance is great, nice light with a cool, casual feel. They had a 2 guy band playing some sort of South American - maybe Argentinian?- music That was a prefect fit and compliment to the atmosphere. There were even a couple folks enjoying themselves and dancing to the beats I'm a vegetarian and they had a pretty good selection of items that I could eat without having to substitute anything. I ordered the farmers market pizza. The first awesome thing about it, and all their pizzas actually, is that there are 3 different hand tossed crusts to choose from. I was stoked to hear olive bread was and option ! (Like seriously, how cool is that?!) The second great thing about my pizza was the awesome combo of ingredients. The farmers market is far from the standard veggie pizza. There were yummy veggies, special cheeses and even apples and pears that give it a surprise texture and sweetness. Plus, there's also a good selection of beers, both local and non. Service was a little slow, but still friendly, so i wouldn't knock a star off for that. I did not feel like I was in Houston while I was at MKT Bar. It feels like you are in a real, booming city! I hope all of Downtown Houston can feel like this one day. I came here with my man for dinner on a casual Friday evening. It's seat yourself so we grabbed an empty dirty table and soon our waiter cleaned up our table and took our drink order. We both chose some local brews, as they had a small but excellent selection. There was a DJ playing some great indie dance hits. I quite enjoyed it. My man preferred the live Jazz music that came on afterward toward the end of our meal. We ordered the charcuterie plate to start and opted to share a pizza. The charcuterie was hands down the most decadent meat and cheese tray I've ever had. Every item on the plate was so delicious. My favorite was a dark, almost maroon dried beef. It was sliced thin like prosciutto and incredibly flavorful and delicious. We soon realized we had ordered way to much food. We could have just gotten one item and shared. The pizza soon arrived and I ate only one piece. Our pizza had ham and pineapples on it. Very delicious and cooked to a nice crisp, however I was too full from the meats and cheeses. As we left MKT Bar, we looked around in Phoenicia Grocery for a bit. We saw all of the meat and cheeses we had there for sale. This is an excellent place to get snacks and dinner ingredients. Next time I have guests coming over I'm purchasing some items from here! I can't wait to come back and try something else or maybe have the meat and cheeses if they've changed them up! We tried Mkt Bar for brunch today. We were a little confused at first. Those places where you seat yourself but there's no sign saying that always throw me off. Anyway, we took a seat and were helped quickly. Two diet cokes and a milk for he little one later we decided to order the egg white frittata for me, chicken and waffles for the hubby, and some potatoes for the mini one. Hubby loves the chicken and waffles. He said the cardamom in the syrup was a unique touch,m. I didn't care for it. He said the chicken was really great. My frittata was ok. It had fresh spinach and feta. I think it needed more feta and not just sprinkled on the top. The roasted potatoes were the best part. They were crispy on the edges and well seasoned. read more

I ate here twice, and most of what I had was good. The chili is a great deal for lunch. The fries are good. I would pass on the chicken wings (not worth the calories, at all). The lamb tacos were delicious. And the chickpea fries were a big portion, and a delicious surprise. You'd be perfectly happy getting those instead of the french fries and pretending that you're eating something healthier, which you're not, since they're fried. Also, they have a good beer and wine selection, and they have gelato. Then there's the market next door, if you need to do some high-end grocery shopping. The music was terrible the night I was there (a Tuesday). I won't mention the artist because I don't want to harsh on someone's dream (or hobby). But it was just bad. I don't know if that's what passes for good in Houston (we get a little spoiled by having so many underpaid, talented people in New Orleans), but if I owned the restaurant and wanted to encourage people to come back I'd be more discriminating about who performs (or get a Sirius account). The music was fairly loud, too, and the space is small, so there's no getting away from it if you're sitting inside (only a few outside tables). read more

Disappointing. I don't even know why I was so eager to come here anyways. My friend told me about their $12 steak nights and I got really excited. I've never been to a steak night and wanted to try it out. I dragged my boyfriend here after mentioning it for a week straight (oops). The bar area was FREEZING and service was nonexistent. We waited over 45 minutes for our steaks when other tables (seated after us) got their salads and steaks before us. What the heck? Okay, so let me go off about the service: 1. No one acknowledged us when we sat down. 2. It took them FOREVER to get our drink orders. I think the manager or someone else who obviously wasn't a server had to take our orders after seeing us looking around the bar. 3. Food was extremely slow and the server never came back after giving us our drinks. 4. They forgot our salad.. which sucked. 5. Not once did they come by during our meal to ask us how it was. 6. The server only came to our table when we looked around for her or waved her down. I've never not tipped until last night. P.S. The live music didn't help the entire situation. The guy was mumbling into the mic. Who knows, he could've been good but I couldn't hear him at all. read more

Food was excellent. Server completely inattentive. Had some friends in from out of town and decided that this was perfect location to meet and enjoy some Sunday brunch. Arrived and were seated promptly ~10:15a on 3/4/18. The Good: Food was excellent across the board. Great Chicken & Waffles. Fantastic lamb. Tasty desserts. The Bad: Server never asked/offered a single refill on a table of 6. That included Coffee, water, OJ, Milk (for the kiddos). We're not talking about cost either, it was never offered despite drained glasses of every variety strewn across the table. Coffee and OJ were quite small. Might return for the excellent food and pray for more attentive waitstaff, but it didn't look much better around us either. :( read more

I met up with some friends for Sunday brunch here and had a fantastic time (live jazz music included). This place is like an upscale cafe that serves quality food. Our waitress was gracious and attentive, and we couldn't have asked for anyone better. We started off with Haig's Chili, and it was probably one of the best chilis I've ever had. It wasn't greasy, and the sharp white cheddar really gave it an extra kick. I'd highly recommend trying it out. I ordered the Egg White Frittata in an attempt to eat healthier and was pleasantly surprised that it was so delicious. Originally, I thought the portion size was kind of small, but after working my way through it, I was pretty full. I'd love to come back and try other items on the brunch menu. I didn't know this, but Phoenicia (the grocery store MKT is attached to) has free parking in the adjacent garage. No need to find parking on the street! This place is a speciality market and a bar hence the name MKT bar. A few beers on tap tasty homemade sangria. On the food menu I recommend the queso with the steak it comes with house made pita chips for a main meal pizza is the way to go if you can't decide on one ask them to split it half and half that way you can get what you want and everyone's belly is happy. Staff is super friendly and helpful if you are from out of town and looking for advice about the area. read more

Came here for a quick bite after a bike ride thru the city. Ambiance was cool- super packed on a Thursday bc of steak night. Its open seating so good luck finding a seat on Thursday. We hovered over someone and got a seat after about 5 mins. Waiter took a while to come over, food was mehh. I ordered steak from steak-night menu which came with french fries or a baked potato for 14.99. I asked for the potato without cheese and that couldn't happen bc i was told it was pre-made with cheese- strange. I settled for the fries. I ordered a medium well steak and it came out well done. The flavor was just ok. Friend ordered a burger with no cheese and came out with cheese. He said it was also mehh. All in all the meal was ok... beers were the best thing we had. Live misic was nice. Wouldn't come back for steak night but perhaps another night. read more

I'm a huge fan of this place-it's so nice to have a great bar with excellent food in this part of downtown. And it's attached to Phoenicia, which is an added perk! The food is all excellent-and it's very easy to find something for everyone. Our favorite is their charcuterie and cheese boards-the prices are phenomenal for the amount of food that comes on them. Also love their fries-the seasoning and sauces they use are addictive. Everything we've tried on the menu...and there's been a lot-we have loved. The prices are very reasonable for downtown and you get a lot of food, all very high quality. Space is comfortable and casual and the service is always very friendly. read more

I like drinks and steak night at MKT bar, and I love that it's within Phoenicia, so you can buy wine or desserts. Now that I'm working downtown, MKT is a great option for lunch, too. A friend and I met for steak night ($12.99 for a steak with chimmichurri, a twice baked potato and a MKT salad). I didn't love the salad. It had olives, grape tomatoes and cucumbers -- all things I dislike. The steak was the highlight of the meal, as it should be. It was cooked to my specifications, juicy, nicely charred, and the chimmichurri gave a great herby freshness. The twice baked potato was buttery and had excellent flavor, but mine was room temperature. I feel like these are pre-made, but mine never got reheated, so I didn't get the melty goodness I would have liked. The downside of MKT bar is the layout. The dining area is very long and slim and there is often foot traffic passing by going to and from the store. read more

I've had better at Benjys/Breakfast Klub. coffee--You can't get refills! They will charge you FOR REGULAR COFFEE! That's ridiculous. Pomegranate mimosa carafe: Pretty good size and tasty. Def. recommend. Egg Scramble with sausage: Nothing special but it had the queso on top so it made it better. Overall, I'm sure there are other brunch places to go to. My friends and I stopped by here after a show for the "after party." SO glad we did! We are also looking for a replacement to Samba Grill for our pre-opera dinner. So we decided we may as well check the place out. We just wanted to have one glass and then head off as it was a "school night" and we had to be up early for work. They had a table set up with yummies for the party which looked beautiful. I ordered the Barr Cabernet, which I am familiar with, and it was really good. We also decided to try a few nibbles of the food that they had out and the pita chips (OMG) they served with the creamy hummus were the best I have had. The chips were loaded with spices and perfectly crispy and thin. The Gouda cheese that they served tasted like a creamier version of Beemster, which is one of my favorite cheeses. One of the girls behind the bar was super helpful and told us about the weekly specials. They have steak night on Tues and Thurs for $12. Pretty good deal. Wed night is wine and $8 cheese and charcuterie plates. I cannot wait to go back! read more

I LOVE this bar. Note that they are beer and wine only so you are not disappointed for that reason. Their food is phenomenal, with their steak night being a GREAT deal. I recommend that you get the twice-baked potato or ask them to sub a veggie or a second serving of the salad. The fries are not really flavored to me. The gelato is a great way to top off your meal, and the Dark Knight is BOMB if you like chocolate. The themed nights and entertainment (i.e. live music/DJ's) are always on point. This is one of the few places in Houston that started off on the right foot and have been able to maintain that tempo. My 4-star review goes to MKT bar, primarily due to their most excellent farmer's market pizza on herb-crust (requested thin). i don't think I've had a better tasting pizza. Plus, it's a great price point to feed 2! 5 out of 5 stars! I'd pass on the Ceviche... it's missing the tangy sweetness one expects from this type of dish. Excellent wine, but be warned; our happy hour special ended at the tick of 7. One minute later, and they'll happily bump your bill without warning, Cinderella! No big deal for me, ya live and learn! It's kinda nice how some tables were somewhat tucked away on the side for romantic couples while others could be grouped together for small parties or get-togethers.. This hip bar has an area for a DJ or small band to perform. However, your evening's entertainer might be hit or miss.. On the evening of my meal, the DJ was lacking creativity (same beat droned-on for the entire night). However, that didn't detract from the restaurant's ambiance... 4/5! Visited MKT Bar before a Dynamo game and it was entirely worth it. They've an interesting beer selection (I had a Japanese white beer) and a fairly good menu full of choices. I shared ceviche with the table, which was done well, and I had the caprese salad for dinner (I didn't want to eat a lot because it's hot in July at soccer matches). The caprese salad was a bland...missing the tangy. Several of our group ordered and liked the personal pizzas. Serving staff was okay (appetizer arrived the same time as the meals) In short, I would visit MKT bar again before an event on that side of downtown. Was there on a Friday night for a comedy competition. Glad I showed up early and got a table because by 8:30, the place was packed. The place is cute. They even have gelato!! Had pomegranate mimosa (I love pomegranate), it was good but for $8 a glass, the glass was too small. Queso and pita chips are sooo good. Best pita chips I've had in a long time. Also had shoe string fries. I ordered a half order but they brought out a full order, realized the mistake and let us keep full order for the price of half order. Full order is huge and can easily be shared by 3 people. Fries themselves are ok but whatever seasoning they use makes those fries like CRACK!! So good and can't stop eating. Also had coffee. It isn't on a menu but I noticed the espresso machine and asked about it and waiter brought out a different menu for coffee. My espresso poured over gelato was great. Person I was with ordered some type of caramel coffee and it tasted a little burnt to me. Will go back there again for sure to hang out and try other items on menu. read more

I've come to MKT BAR a few times now, and each time I've been impressed. A few of the times we've gone to Phoenicia to buy food there and only got drinks at MKT BAR, which is a nice option to have. The first time we did that, we were a little worried that it wasn't cool to bring a grocery bag into the bar, but fortunately they encourage it so don't think twice about it. This past Tuesday, I stopped in with a few friends prior to an Astros game. We got some of the appetizers to munch on initially, including the dips, hummus, and queso. Somewhat surprisingly, the queso was some of the best queso that I've had in Houston, and the pita chips that they serve with it are delicious. Our waitress suggested adding the meat to the queso, but we chose to stick with the cheese only and were happy with our choice. A few of my friends opted for the steak night special, and were pleased with their orders. I decided that I was in the mood for something slightly different, and got the Moroccan Sliders (lamb sliders with spicy cheese, olives, garlic aioli). They were really good and the perfect portion size (but pretty salty with the olives, so stay away if you have high blood pressure!). They've got a good selection of craft beer (lots of local options!), and the happy hour beer specials are always good. On this past Tuesday, they had a nice jazz trio playing while we were there. We were a bit worried that it was going to be way too loud when they started up (since the bar is fairly small and we were right near the stage), but fortunately they had the volume at the perfect level. I'm definitely a fan of the selection, flexibility, and location. I'll update this review in the future after I try more of their food options as well. read more

Came here on a Friday night with my fiancé. There was a stage with stand up comedy. It was very funny and entertaining. Great atmosphere and vibes. There was no cover charge or any fees to get in. Free entertainment while dining! We started with the MKT queso and it was delicious! The portion is huge and you get tons of pita chips. It's $9 for a bowl and if you want to add meat and chili it's an extra $2. Next we had the Bayou Sliders. At first you're like what? that's it? They are tiny in circumference, but very thick and fulfilling. The sliders were very juicy and flavorful. I would highly recommend the sliders. We will definitely be back to try more of their menu. I went here last night to try out their $12 steak dinner which includes a Rib Eye steak, a cheese potato or fries, and a salad. As for the food, it was good. I mean for twelve bucks it's not going to be something to write home about, right? The one thing that got me was the service. I think since this is part of a "specialty" food store (which I take to mean "we don't have most of what you really need, even if it's an odd item") that the wait staff just isn't trained like they should be. I'll give you an example that's a bit more fun than the typical "we were forgotten about regularly"... I went there with a small cake for my nephew (all wrapped up in a plastic bag so he wouldn't know what it was) who was celebrating his 15th birthday. I stopped the waiter away from the table to ask if he had a place I could put it until dessert since it was currently under my chair, on the floor and he said no. Okay no biggie, so I go back to our table. 5 minutes later the waiter comes up and announces to the table, "Was it a surprise for someone?"........ Well if it WAS, then it isn't anymore! LOL. Whatever... so then he went on to forget to bring us cutting knives with our steak, never refill our drinks, and the usual bad service accompaniments. As for their happy hour menu, which i was excited about based on how highly they speak of it on their website, it's SPARSE. They had 2 reds and one white, 3 drafts, and I think like 3 cocktails to choose from... They are $5, which for some spots in H-town is the non-happy hour price... but we're in downtown so... But, worse than the sparse selection is actually that it's really not that good of a selection. I got one of the reds and the description sounded pretty interesting and instead I got a basic red that the waiter said was "bold", which was really quite light. For a wine person, this was disappointing. IT reminded me that when I first went here last summer for just a drink, the descriptions were like from mars! I mean, I ordered what appeared to be the darkest, richest, boldest wine on the menu and got some pink in color, fruity thing in a glass! I mean, it's like someone wrote the descriptions then just swapped all the wines out blindly! Here's the deal. When you go to a Happy Hour or dinner a a place associated with what is supposed to be one of Houston's "top" "specialty" food stores, you expect to be impressed... to try something new... anything. Instead, you just get "good enough". I've been to Norway (where Phoenicia says it's from) and I tell you what, this would not pass inspection there! Will I go back? Sure. I mean, a $12 steak dinner is hard to find within walking distance to my apartment...but that's a deal they only offer 2 nights a week! MKT Bar, you guys are a love and hate hang out place to be. MKT Bar is the extension of the Phoenica Market downtown as the market closes, this bar stays open and utilize the kitchen of Phoenica's for the hot food while they already have a gelato stand and a decently stock bar in this establishment, oh, and a stage for live music performance. This review consist of some of the past visitations and most importantly, the most recent visit of their Thursday (and also on Tuesday) night steak night. Let's talk about the love part on what's so great about this place. First, the list of the beer is decent and good priced. Second, the food is also good tasting and priced too. Third, from time to time, there's live music performances almost every night of the week and they are all great acts. Lastly, it's also right across from Discovery Green so whenever there's an after party, it is likely to be at this place. Now there's always something that does not live up to the expectations when one visit an establishment. On our most recent visit for their Thursday night steak night, it was pretty packed and the stage is playing Afro pop music. Everyone looks like having a good time and dining their steak mainly. It was so packed that we had to share with another party at one of the long table away from the stage area. Once we sat down, we saw not one, but 2 servers and a manager walking pass by us and not greeting us at all. It was about possibly 8 minutes later when they finally decided which server will be serving us and finally giving us a menu and take our drink order. The thing is that they have this certain Trappist beer on the menu but every time for the past 3-4 visits I want to order it, they seem to never have it anymore. I always had to settle on my second choice or sometime third because my second choice isn't available either. Speaking of things not available on the menu, there's this one gelato dessert that my girlfriend always wanted to get but past visits they say it's out, but this time, the server finally stated that it's a dessert they no longer have available. If it's not available, at least cross it off the menu than making the customer a bit disappointed. Now I want to say that we sat down on the long table first and then another party of 3 ask if the other side's taken and we welcome them to the table. They were actually being served by a manager (based on the clothing) and now we ordered our food and drink first, and the manager took their order a few minutes after. Yet somehow they were able to get their food and drink to them first. At least the salad that came with the steak came out in good time and it was decent mixed salad. By the time our steaks came out, we were still pretty hungry. The steak, at its price of $12, was a bit lacking. The portion is a bit smaller than my stomach's imagining. The twice baked potato was a bit small too and we were hoping to be at least a bit loaded. We gulp up the steak in record time due to our hunger from earlier the night but it wasn't too satisfying as compared to their menu food such as the pizza or the sliders. I will still come back to this place but just don't expect everything on the menu to be available and the service will be vary depending on how busy it is. read more

This place was nice and the food all looked and tasted great. I just have to question the waiter who served us last night on his customer service. We headed here after the Rockets game and asked for three waters. He comes back with three cups, no ice, the cups had water drops all over the outside of them and mine had an awesome lip mark. Did he seriously just serve us dirty cups? Yes he did. I asked for a new cup and got no apology and never received another glass of water. After being served a dirty cup I really have to question the cleanliness of this establishment. Thanks for ruining my dinner and my perception of MKT BAR. read more

We walked in bc nothing else in the area seemed open. The atmosphere was nice, good loud and live music, nice decor and a friendly waitstaff. Good stuff: our waitress was excellent she wasn't overwhelming but still very attentive and our market salad was excellent Okay stuff: market sliders and the market pizza. Unimpressed to say the least. On the pizza the cheese was way too oily and the pears were uncooked. Sliders were just plain okay according to the mister. Not so good stuff: twice while we were eating and the band was performing I looked up btwn bites to see garbage bags being moved through the eating area. Once from the bathroom. I love going to MKT Bar. PS, I've never had their food, so this review will focus on their bar area, amenities and service. MKT bar has a stockpile of games that ensures you will have a good time! Catchphrase, Battleship, Hungry Hippos? Their repertoire is a blast from the past, and is perfect for breaking the ice or passing time. Plus, there are ping-pong tables if you want to take a break from board games (say, the competition is tough or the game gets too heated). There is no extra cost for playing their games or ping-pong. Upon arriving and choosing a table, you will shortly be approached by a waiter/waitress with menus for the table. Drinks are on one side, and food on the other. Their prices are decent! You can get a $28 pitcher of mimosa or sangria for the table, or a bottle of wine for $32+. Or you can ask if they still serve pitchers of beer, we got one for $18. They only offered 2 kinds of beer: wheat or pale ale. We ordered the wheat beer and it was easy to drink. MKT Bar also has gelato, which I can vouch for. You can sample flavors prior to ordering to make sure you are satisfied with your selection. In conclusion, MKT Bar is AWESOME! I love the games. I love the availability of drinks and food. And I love that you can satisfy your sweet tooth with gelato. It's a great place to go and have fun with friends. They also have great specials, and comedy nights on Fridays! & free parking. Given the wide selection of things to do, expect a variety of people (families, couples, friend groups) on a weekend night. read more

I've been here for happy hour and for brunch. It's a great place for happy hour - lots of young professionals come here after work. Great selection of drinks and small bites on their HH menu. It is probably a better place for drinks than for brunch. The menu is somewhat small for brunch though everyone in my party liked their dish. I had heard on yelp that the Knefe Jbneh (had trouble ordering it but the waitress didn't know how to pronounce it either) was good. It was quite sweet and probably just good for one bite and not as a entree for breakfast. My friend got the egg scramble which was pretty good and my other friend got the chicken and waffles which was decent but I've had better at many other establishments (Lola's). read more

This place was like a college dining hall when it's a "social." Cafeteria feel with odd cocktails that are infused white wine sprintzers and stout ice cream floats as opposed to real booze. The beer and wine selection is good on the contrary. The waiter seemed disinterested in being a waiter. He offered a menu but then was reluctant to take our order even when we told him we were ready. Upon receiving our bill he didn't come back to collect payment for ages. Ultimately, we stopped here for a night cap but I wish we'd gone to another bar in the area with more of a full bar mixology, better atmosphere and a lively staff. Pet peeve: we asked for water and he served it in plastic to-go cups complete with lids and straws. I Think it's a waste of plastic to serve is to-go waters. But then again maybe it was the final hint that he didn't care. read more

Excellent spot for a drink and a quick bite to eat. Plenty of craft beers and a surprisingly nice selection of wines. They even have flights of both. I had a vegetable pot pie that was fantastic with sides of beets and Brussels sprouts(made with nuts and a little bacon). The pie was homemade and came in an iron skillet. It takes a little extra time but it was worth the wait. I was there on a Tuesday night and they had live music. All around a great restaurant with good service. The only complaint I have is it's too loud. It was hard to even hear the music over the roar of the crowd. They probably shouldn't book folk music ;) read more

MKT bar has a fun atmosphere and easy (free) parking for a downtown destination. The DJ can get a bit loud at night, but if you pick your table strategically this issue can be minimized. The reason though that in really writing this review was due to one stellar dish which I thought was an incredible value: The Chilean Sea Bass. For $18, I would put this piece of sea bass against any from the higher end restaurants in town where this would easily cost almost twice as much. It had a great little crust to it and was just a quality piece of fish. What's costing them one star here was that we also ordered the brussel sprouts with bacon as a side which were very lack luster (not particularly crispy or bacon-y). To be fair though, our waitress, when seeing we barely touched these, did remove them from our bill which was a courteous move. read more

On my last night in Houston, my friend and I walked through Discovery Green, went to look for food in the area after, and happened upon this place. It had a very cool downtown big city after work vibe. There was some live music, mood lighting, and really friendly service. For the live music, I would make the trek back. Parking is weird, not sure if this place qualifies as being part of the market, so had to battle for limited street parking in downtown. For the food, I might come back. The concept is cool, but the place has a nicer vibe than the food ends up being. When you get you're food you feel like you're in a diner, which don't get me wrong isn't bad, but I expected more out of a place this well decorated. I guess... the best way to describe the food is: simple. Which can be good, but for some reason the atmosphere made me think I'd be getting more drastic flavor profiles, or more ballsy combinations. read more

What a great find! Wonderful tray of artisanal meats (especially a peppered salami) and cheeses (including Armenian string cheese) made for a great meal after a day of traveling. Good ambiance and staff too. read more

Came here for happy hour (2PM - 7PM) right before the Bruno Mars concert (ahhh so amazing!). I love Phoenicia off Westhiemer, it's a total fave so I thought I would love their MKT Bar. First off, I guess they are trying to be hip or chic with "MKT" but I always think of "Marketing" instead of "Market". My Marketing classess in college started off with "MKT". MKT 337 Principles of Marketing. Anyway. there's $5 house wines, draft beers, and $6 dips, fries, or plantain chips - a whopping $1 less than normal price. On Tuesdays and Thursdays they have steak night for $12. Not much of a happy hour deal to be honest. I was expecting unique cocktails and more selection and an actual deal on appetizers. I ordered sliders (off their regular menu). It was 3 for $12. Not the best sliders I've had which was disappointing as it sounded so delicious and it even had bacon! It is a really nice place and the service is excellent. We were there on $12.00 steak Tuesday and Thursday. It is a little loud for kids but you can sit around the corner from the stage and it is not that bad. We will definitely return. read more

If you love Motown, old school music, visit this place on a Saturday night (7-11 pm). The DJ is awesome and dances along with the music. I like that. You could dance near the DJ, but people would look at you funny, like you have an arm sticking out of forehead. However, if you can give two sh*ts about what others think (like me), go for it! Carpe Diem! The fries with the zaatar seasoning and lemon zest. Sounds weird, but totally works! Prices are fair, considering that it's downtown. read more

This place was wonderful!!! Love how it's set up, it's modern/indie look. I was a little confused when we first went in because no one greeted us. And apparently you either order upfront or you have to request a waiter. We ended up getting DJ as our waiter.. Not was he funny!!! He was quick and alert the while time. My table of guests and I really enjoyed him! A side from the fantastic steak an broccolini we will Forsure be back for DJ he really made us feel welcomed!!! Seriously! The girlfriend and I went here for dinner the other night and it's pretty good with excellent waitstaff. Most importantly perhaps, they have their own parking in the garage next to it. But advised if you're going on a Fri/Sat night, you're going to be waiting for quite a while. Also they often have events going on where folks will be sitting in their tables for a while, so get there early. read more
