Foraged Mushrooms, very good.

Brought my daughter here while we visited Texas. I have been here a few times on company account and the food was great, service very attentive. Only complaint was the price! lol I remember if you come here during lunch, they used to give free cookies and it was amazingly yum. Dinner time, we have to pay $18 for 6 for a bite size cookies. Well, once in a lifetime and my daughter enjoyed the food and experience!

Another fantastic time! Took my brother, his wife to celebrate his birthday! It was their first time there and they really enjoyed it! Food was great because I was really craving the mac & cheese! great service, ambiance and steaks weren't bad either!

This is by far the best steakhouse in town! Our server, Ricardo, was amazing and truly made our dinner the wonderful success that it was! Thank you Ricardo! The steaks were simply fantastic and the crispy potatoes and grilled asparagus perfectly added to the meal! The gooey triple chocolate chip cookies are a must have! Thank you soooo much for the spectacular evening in such a beautiful space!

The night I had at Guard and Grace was truly unforgettable. I planned a proposal which was beautifully orchestrated by our awesome server JJ! Besides making my fiancé and family feel special with his impressive service, he doubled as a photographer and really helped with capturing our special evening. The food did not disappoint, we raved about the fried potato and the steak/seafood were delicious. I'd recommend this place for anyone looking to have a special evening in the Houston area. Oh not to mention JJ gave us a tour of the kitchen leading up to the proposal. Can't forget about hostess and other staff who acknowledge and help orchestrate the perfect night for my fiancé and I. If you ever need to celebrate and want amazing food I recommend Guard and Grace, with waiter Jacob J (tall) !!!!

I'll start by saying I was running late for dinner, so I was not able to get the photos that I wanted. I'm going back in a week so I'll post more photos. Trey was our server. He was excellent My friends and I had a private dining dinner and everything was amazing The mashed potato's are the BEST THING I HAVE EVER EATEN IN ANY RESTAURANT!!!! I'll update in a few days with a better review.

I have been here a few times and I think it's a little overrated. The ambience and service is exceptional! The food is overpriced. We started off with queso - salty. The salad was shareable but the taste was okay. The redfish was flavorful. The espresso was okay. Parking is valet, garage or street parking.

We went to Guard and Grace on a Thursday, which was my actual birthday.... It was a first for all of my guests and the experience exceeded my expectations. Trey, our waiter, was phenomenal. Personable, attentive, and truly great at his job. We never had to wait for him or ask for anything. He was always present without hovering, which says a lot about his professionalism and awareness. The ambience was perfect...upscale yet relaxed. You can actually hear your guests and have real conversations without yelling like you're in a club or lounge trying to pass as a restaurant. Food was on point across the board. Those who had the red fish loved it. The brussel sprouts were really good. I ordered the bone-in ribeye and it did exactly what it was supposed to do... fully satisfied my steak craving. Portions were generous enough that the rest came back with me to the Airbnb. We flew in from Florida to celebrate and also visit our young adults/friends who live in HTX, and this dinner became one of the highlights of the trip. I already know I'll be checking out the Guard and Grace in Colorado this spring if it's anything like this experience. Excellent service, great food, beautiful atmosphere. A birthday well celebrated.

This one might be a little overrated for me. I had high hopes, but wasn't super impressed. The restaurant and ambiance is really nice. Wait staff was amazing. Our waiter had a great personality. Food: Crudo - ok Steak - was delicious Queso - salty Drinks - eh Rainbow roll - I could skip it Jalapeño roll - decent Crab fried rice - Butter cake - solid Asparagus - good. Normal steakhouse flavor

As someone who loves guard and grace in Denver, the houston location was def not as great. It started with the hostess. We had lunch reservations and the hostess was preoccupied with a lady who was busy on the phone. Instead of greeting us, she kept watching the lady on the phone. We waited almost 10 minutes before the lady on the phone decided to step aside. That was ridiculous. Our server wasn't the worst, but def not the best either. He did a good job, but I guess I'm just use to Denver expectations. My mom ordered the "don't rush me" cocktail and said it was amazing. She was def impressed with this drink. I had a glass of sauv blanc and it was good. The food, below is everything we ordered: - split a wedge salad, chopped This is always my go to salad here and it didn't disappoint. Those bites of pork belly are so good. - braised Wagyu beef wontons I would pass on these. They lacked any wow factor and needed some more seasoning. - asparagus These were great. I love thick asparagus and they were wonderfully prepared - wagyu 4oz filet My mom really enjoyed this. This was the whole reason we came here and she was satisfied. - 4 grilled jumbo shrimp cocktail I have never had shrimp this soft and perfectly prepared before. This was the recommendation of our server and I'm glad he did. It really blew my mind how great these were. - oak fired octopus We get this every time we go to Denver and for whatever reason, this one wasn't as great. It was still good but something was different. I couldn't tell what. - chocolate chip cookies I def should have ordered some of these to go. We were given 2 and they were delicious. I just wish they had been warm. Houston has so many steakhouses and as a visitor, I would go to a different one next time.

The kind of hospitality Guard and Grace showed us for our TYP networking event was NOTHING short of incredible. The staff was ABSOLUTELY amazing. The food? Delicious. The mocktails? Exciting. OMG we had such a great night! They hosted us in their space upstairs and we completely filled up the entire area. Anyone knows that this area is not ideal for parking but I'm so thankful that I was able to find parking on the road and walk to the restaurant. They gave us such a great variety of appetizers that I didn't even know what to eat first. So, knowing me.. I got them all! LMBO. I did not taste anything that was not delicious. (Yes, even the cheese options. Oops) Also, the mocktail that the bar staff made me make my eyes roll back. It was so bloody delicious and sweet and bright and comforting. How can a mocktail be all that? Idk. I'm not a mixologist. LMBO I will be back 10 times over!

Easy 5 stars! I visited as part of a large group. Our room was spacious and nice. The staff were on top of it, even though our group had special requests with people swapping seats throughout our four course meal. I highly recommend Guard and Grace if you're looking for a venue for a private event. The food and drinks were top notch. The appetizers, salad, main course, and desserts were all phenomenal. My choice for the main course was the Roasted Salmon dish. The salmon, crispy potatoes, and roasted cabbage came together to create a truly amazing plate of food! The cookies and chocolate cake for dessert were standouts for me as well. A great way to finish the evening. Located downtown, the parking is tough. But if you're able to make it into the restaurant, it's totally worth it! Would love to come back sometime to experience it separate from a work function.

Housssssston Restaurant Week = Delicious Dinner! Don't mind if I do. Location: Located in the bustling downtown one Allen center, this restaurant is in great walking distance for those who work near. Parking: The restaurant offers valet service for $15.00. Or if you are lucky you can find nearby metered parking. Atmosphere: It's swanky in here!!! And the house must've stolen my playlist because it's bumping in here! Love it! Cute date night, girls' night, executive client dinners, and much more. Food: We decided on this restaurant because of its HRW 2025 Menu. The food is good; however, it didn't wow me. We started with a Vietnamese salad. It was good and spicy, but not a show stopper. What really won me over with this menu is reading that they had crab fried rice, and it came with red fish! Yum!!! My dish was picture perfect, but what made it amazing was not the fried rice, it was the Soy Glaze I put on my fish. I requested it on the side and it was a hit. It comes with some other sort of butter, but I preferred the Soy Glaze. The third course was dessert and was also a bit of a let down. Ordered ths Sticky Toffee Pudding cake. The caramel sauce and ice cream was a bit and was needed because although the flavor of the cake was great, it was terribly dry. Not a 10/10 would recommend item. Service: Service was great. They even offer black cloth napkins, which I usually request. The only damper on service is that I clearly missed all the signs saying that there would be a SURPRISE charge on my bill... Chef's Share. Explainarion from our table host was... meeeeh, at best. Wasn't quite sure if they understood it as . I have no objections to paying it, but I would've loved a heads up. When you're excited to catch up with your person/group, it is easy to miss these things. User error for sure. Nice place. I may return; haven't decided just yet! Either way, take a trip and go try them out for yourselves!!

Ask the Community - Guard and Grace Modern Steakhouse

Do they sell wine by the bottle?

Yes

Is this place kid friendly?

Yes I see children all the time especially during Sunday brunch..

Is this place good for large groups (up to 12 adults)?

What is the dress code?

Business casual is appropriate. No shorts. Formal attire is not out of place. I would however suggest another high steakhouse option in the city. There are many other options that are better overall and not exorbitantly priced.

Is this place good for an anniversary dinner for two?

Yes - this place is perfect! They have cute booths for 2 and the service here is impeccable. Let them know it's your anniversary and they'll be telling you congratulations over and over again.

I've had better burgers from joints around town. Not worth $24. The Chicken entree was an absolute let down. I won't even elaborate. Some of our favorite entrees were the carrot soup and crab rice. Both were out of this world. For me the food was 3/5, service (aside from staff forgetting occasion of visit) 5/5, value 3/5. Also valet parking is $8. I'm still undecided if I'll be back. The pappardelle with the wide noodles was so fun and there was lots of parm which I liked, and the lemon zest was a nice touch. The squash was soft and I loved the ricotta. I also tried the scallops and this one was my favorite. It was creamy and cheesy. The scallops were soft and each bite of the rice had some shrimp or crab in it. Service was a bit slow.

I've come here a couple of times, and the service never disappoints. I always love trying different…read moreitems here, and it just works every, single, time! We came in for a girls night, and to try the girl dinner that they had been promoting. It came with Steak, Fries and a Caesar Salad and cocktail, which I think is a perfect combo. It was just enough food. Before we started our meal, we ordered the Onion Rings appetizer, and they were so good. Came out super hot and crispy batter with a yummy aioli for dipping. The steak came out perfectly cooked to my liking, the fries, super yummy, wished I had more! And the salad was light and crisp. I opted for the espresso martini, which again, made to my liking! I also ordered another drink, a vodka martini, which was nice crisp and smooth. To round out our evening, we ordered the bread pudding for dessert. They ran out of ice cream, but it was not needed. This is one of the best bread pudding's I've ever had. It had a nice toasted bottom, and was warm and gooey throughout each bite. I was only going to take a bite, but that was hard to do, so we devoured it pretty quickly. Suffice to say, I'll order that as an appetizer on my next visit!

Gosh my last visit meal was so amazing, I craved this creole fish dish again. In mid eating I had…read morethis hard plastic stuck in my teeth from my food, and once I removed it, it appeared like a plastic tag from a price tag or uncooked rice. It took a great while for my server to return, by the time she arrived I requested management, the manager lady spoke as if I planted it in my dish, that I sped over to purchase again from my first visit. She replied, " Nothing at all look like this in the place". Girlfriend are you serious? She didn't offer to replace my dish, to comp my meal. She was looking for reasons to charge me for my dish and the unwanted items it seems. Above all, No apology was offered neither. Her tone was very much accusing, was had me, the "victim feeling very suspect". You know "white only pies" vibes. I had to ask for a comp or redo and express how solutions are made during these type of events. Not sure if it was the female manager's lack of experience or incompetence, but her response was disturbing alone. The male manager spoke to me after dealing with the inexperienced female manager for a fair solution. The kitchen was closed so to remake the meal wasn't possible, instead he removed my dish from the bill, and provided a gift card (lesser value of the dish) but it was the gesture and expression of the current events that made it very necessary. However, I was informed it takes time for the amount to upload onto the gift card, (possibly2-5 days) it's been over a month now. I haven't confirm or visited back
