Beautifully decorated inside, very good food and great service. This was my first time here and I would definitely recommend. My friend ordered the Jasmine cocktail. I took a sip and it was quite nice and well balanced. It was also very pretty. We both didn't order anything too interesting but they were good barometer for the overall quality of the food. Apart from the chicken in my Pad Thai, which didn't taste especially fresh, I thought it was quite yummy. Nicely cooked and well seasoned. Overall it was a positive experience. If you're looking for solid Asian food, with a beautiful ambiance, this is the place. It's really so pretty and the service was great. I would come back and try something different.

I'm an avid sushi lover and always like trying new places. This was my first time at MoCA. The ambience and decor were nice. I love the design of the seating area and bar. Booths were super spacious and comfortable. My husband and I ordered 2 appetizers (Mini Rolls and Indian Pancakes) and 2 specialty rolls (American Dream Roll and Baja Roll). Everything was delicious, just wish the rolls were a little bigger. Definitely on the smaller side compared to tons of other sushi restaurants I've been too. Honestly, we were still hungry after that. So order more than you think. We were going to order the Mille (Green Tea) Crêpe Cake but they ran out for the night. Looked really promising though. For cocktails I first ordered a margarita and I feel bad saying this but, it was one of the worst margaritas I've ever had and my husband agreed. It didn't taste anything like a margarita, and it was sour and just weird. However, the waitress was nice enough to switch out my drink and I ended up ordering a Jalapeño Mango Martini instead, which was delicious. Overall everything was good just wish the sushi had a bigger serving.

The food is not made so well we ordered few sushi rolls and general tso shrimp . The drinks were watered down and the service was fast but they didn't take the time to check on us they just brought food to us and the only good was they took my old fashioned from the bill but we would not come back

Had a really nice dinner here with my friends. The restaurant was beautiful, a little confusing because we had like two servers but the service was very good. We had lobster tacos to start, which were good, and a couple of sushi rolls which were enjoyable (see pics). For dinner we all split a few dishes-- the yellow curry seafood which was very good and the sangria duck. The sangria duck was excellent, but it had A LOT of quills on the skin. Kindve gross to look at, and annoying the duck was not cleaned properly, but nonetheless, the dish was very tasty. We all thoroughly enjoyed our drinks. I really loved the mocanut which is like a coconut flavored rum drink. Skip the lychee martini- not good. Very bitter and my friends tried some and said the same. For dessert we had the chocolate caramel soufflé which was topped with ice cream and a nice way to round out the night. I would def come back to try other dishes.

This review has taken me a while to write because I'm so disappointed in our experience but thought it worth sharing. First, this is the place my husband and I spend almost every anniversary and special occasion at. We love the food, ambiance, service, etc. This time was wayyyy different and it's most likely our last time there. We went on January 2nd, NYE observed, to bring in the New Year. We had a 5:30 reservation, we like to go early to avoid crowds and get home early. We were greeted by a gentleman we've never seen before (new management??) and seated up front under bright lights and told the heat was out, it was not a warm night. Nobody else was seated up there, just us. I don't remember our candle being lit. We ordered drinks and our favorite appetizer, the Crispy Toro. It came out a bit different, perhaps a bit mushy and just not as consistent as in the past. My husband got some hand rolls and I ordered Pad Thai, those were good. Dessert was the worst part. We ordered Creme Brûlée, one of our favorite things. It came out with zero garnish, and whoever torched the sugar warmed the entire dessert and didn't even get a good layer of sugar on top, it was not even edible. All in all it was a disappointment to have such a bad experience at probably our favorite place. We're moving south in the Spring, I doubt we'll be back. Not to mention it was definitely not a cheap meal. Hopefully they just had an off night.

Came here in the afternoon on a Sunday and had a great time! The drinks we really great and the sushi was delicious. My boyfriend and I are new to Long Island so it was nice to find a local spot that we will definitely visit again!

Dined out here with a group of 6 on a Tuesday night. We sat outside under their tent as indoor seating was not an option. Their bar wasn't open either, so therefore happy hour offerings weren't a thing either as offerings are only offered at the bar. Some sales weren't available either as they didn't have them. There were other things on the menu that they didn't have. Not sure what this included though. I just heard a friend try and order something and our waitress stated that they "didn't have it today." To start I shared shrimp dumplings and seaweed with my mom. Shrimp dumplings were full of flavor. Seaweed salad had decent flavor. Other appetizers that were ordered at the table were spring rolls, scallion pancake, sashimi salad and tempura veggies. Appetizers took quite a while to come out. For sushi rolls I ordered a salmon avocado roll and the tiger roll. I asked for it to be made with brown rice. My mom ordered the MocA Roll and the paradise roll. Both rolls had good flavor. When someone at my table asked our sever if they offered black rice, our server stated only white and brown rice. When my rolls came out, they had black rice. Our sever wasn't overly knowledgeable about the menu or the restaurant offerings. Other things ordered at the table included duck, pineapple fried rice, picture roll, out of control roll, and shrimp tempura roll. The pineapple fried rice was fabulous. Amazing fresh flavors. When our entrees were served, only 4/6 came out and it took a while for the the other two entrees to come out. One of them finally came out and someone else at my table was still waiting for her sushi roll. She continued to wait...and wait. Finally our waitress came over and told her that someone ate her roll!!!! And she laughed about it. She told her that it's being remade and will come out soon. It finally did come out, and her plate was chipped.... Someone at my table wanted to use her rewards card that they offer. The waitress stated she didn't know how to do it for her. Although the food was good, I cannot really say the same for service. I would only be back for take-out.

Then, we didn't see our waitress for a long time until we finally asked the water guy to ask her to stop by. Which took a while again. We ordered more drinks. My son's soda was flat and my old fashioned tasted like it had a bite like rye vs bourbon, but I ignored it and drank it. About halfway through it changed to sweet - but so sweet it was like drinking syrup. It was never stirred so the bottom half was undrinkable. We asked for our waitress to get the check, and asked her to remove the flat soda and my old fashioned. She brought the check, nothing was removed. I explained again and asked the drinks to be removed. Next the bar manager came to our table. She explained to me how old fashioneds are made, that they're never stirred. And some people sip them, some drink them with a straw. I've drank old fashioneds for many years. They are always stirred. And never drank with a straw. But she claimed she's made these for years. Someone else came and told us she could take off the soda but not the old fashioned. I said I only drank half as they took it away. Well they won't take it off. So I asked for half my drink back if I have to pay for it. They gave me a new small drink. It was terrible. We paid the check, tipped the waitress in cash (she did nothing wrong other than being too busy). I cannot get over the bar manager speaking to me that way. We will not be back.

We ordered: - Spring Salad (5/5) this tasted so good with the fresh mango, the snap peas, and the carrot ginger dressing. - Faroe Islands Salmon (5/5) I only tasted the rice, and not the salmon itself, but the rice was so good, and I just kept on stealing more from the plate. - Roasted-Half Chicken (4/5) This was my own entrée, and I loved how the chicken was crispy, and I also really liked the garlic mashed potatoes, but the only thing that I did not think worked well with the dish was the swiss chard. I think it would've tasted better with spinach. - Strawberry Cheesecake (4/5) this was surprisingly very light for a cheesecake, we ended up finishing all of it, and the whipped cream was really good. The strawberries were not my favorite, I kind of wish that they were just fresh slices of strawberries, but to each their own. While I had heard great things about this restaurant, I hadn't been in yet. I'm sure glad we chose to come here. Since I'm perpetually early, I went to have a beer at the bar while waiting and had a chance to peruse the happy hour menu. Lots of good stuff here including many beers and cocktails. This menu is available until 6 pm during the week. Bartender was a doll and gave me the skinny on all her favorites for both the happy hour and regular menus. Bar seats maybe 15 people and a tv above will keep a solo flyer busy for a bit. Once my buddy arrived, we were seated in the dining room toward the back. A great space able to seat many patrons. Larger groups can easily be accommodated. Our server Zack was awesome and came by just often enough. He also did a great job spacing out our courses so as not to overload our table. We started with soup and then had one of the starts of the evening- sliced seared tuna. This was a reco from the earlier mentioned bartender and it was a super home run. So were the Bang Bang Tacos. ( another reco from our great bartender food guru.) My friend said his salmon was good but not great and I had a burger that Zack recommended. Cooked perfectly, juicy and delicious, this was an incredible burger and I could have taken at least half home. I didn't because it was so good and I felt stuffed when it was finished. We didn't stop there though - the dessert menu looked awesome and I wasn't going to miss it.
