    Funnel cake, chocolate and original

Stopped by this mochi doughnut shot after a hearty meal at South Coast Plaza. Service was prompt and friendly. We got the 3 for $10 deal, with original, chocolate and strawberry. The consistency is a bit chewer than regular doughnuts, not really noticeable unless you're really paying attention. Out of the three flavors, the original is still the best, guilty pleasure level of sweetness. Located on the bottom floor under Paradise Dynasty, it is worth a visit if you're looking g for a snack or dessert after any of the awesome eateries around!

I love all types of mochi, and anything and everything that is chewy. :) I always like to stop by Mochinut to pickup a few donuts to go after having a bowl of pho next door. My favorite is the plain cinnamon sugar. I just don't really care for the ones with the glazed frosting on the top, which is too sweet. And super picky about my boba drink so I have not ordered it from here.

Came back to try their Korean corn dog and it hit my craving! Came out nice and hot within a few minutes. The only complaint I had was that it was hard to get the ketchup out of the container they gave me so I was tapping it on the table so I can get some lol!

Mochinut is located inside the Collage near Bloomingdales at South Coast Plaza. My cousin, her kids, and I wanted to split a half dozen but put into 2 boxes. The more you order, the bigger the discount. However, we were informed by the cashier that if we were to do that, a service charge would apply. Oh well. We both ordered a set of 3 mochi donuts separately. I opted for chocolate, matcha, and cinnamon sugar. The mochi donuts were tasty but were not fresh. I've ordered mochi donuts from other vendors where they are freshly fried. That is not the case here as it is a stand and they are stocked by a separate kitchen. They were okay and a quick sugar fix, while at South Coast Plaza.

We were eating dinner in the food court at South Coast Plaza and decided to stop for sweets on the way out. There was a Mochinut across the way so we grabbed a few to take home. They had a great selection of flavors! I wanted one of each but we were limited to only 6 for our box. We were helped immediately and had secured the box quickly. The light over the glass display for the booth seemed dim. Not as bright as the other food stalls. It probably would of made the donuts pop more. The cherry was really good. But very sweet. I get it, its like a donut. Maybe I will just get one next time.

I normally love this spot, but the female cashier working at 4:50PM on Sunday, September 28th has a bad Gen Z attitude. When I ordered my hot dog and asked for a specific sauce, she would impatiently interrupt me and told me to order my sauce later at the counter. She then asked me to repeat my order again impatiently. I didn't like her attitude at all and I hope a manager will teach her about having a better customer service oriented attitude. Regarding the food quality, Mochinut is always 5/5. This review is solely about the poor customer service I received today.

I have not had a mochi donut in a long time. This was a nice way to end a dumpling meal. The donuts were not that fresh though. At least they still had a chewy texture. I'd get this gain for my niece if she wants to try other flavors next time.

Brand and the sweet chili sauce

The girl that helped me was so kind and helpful. However, I feel like the order I got wasn't as savory as I imagined it would be. Idk... it was a cheese and potato "cheese dog" ? But it had sugar on it.. and then I was given a sweet chili sauce with it.. it would have been better if the batch had no sugar and I was given marinara or idk a different sauce with it.. the shop is close to other neighboring little eateries.. like a boba place and other Asian cuisine. There is not enough sitting I feel like for the amount of people at south coast plaza. Especially if you go during holidays.. overall.. I guess it depends on personal taste buds of each individual..

    Great selection!

Delicious, fresh and lots of flavors to choose from! Friendly, quick service on a Sunday night. Loved the chocolate flavor best - chewy and not too sweet, just right for a yummy dessert after dinner.

I've never witnessed a food section inside of any department stores, especially at Bloomingdale's. It was pretty busy because the layout of the food area is super compact but well worth it. Keep in mind there are liens at each of them, depending on when you go. We tried three flavors for the donuts and they were pretty good. Cocoa 5/10 don't eat the pretzel it's stale lol Mango 10/10 our fav Watermelon 7/10 was pretty hesitant but it tastes like strawberry to me!

The food was amazing. The ham and cheese was warm, creamy, and perfectly balanced, exactly what we needed. And the old fashioned donuts were so good; crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and not overly sweet. Everything tasted fresh. The ambiance was so cute and nice, made me feel like home with the lighting and cleanliness. Honestly, the service is what makes this place special. The kindness alone would make me come back, but the donuts being that good just seals it. If you want great donuts and even better people, this is the spot.

She just gestured at the donuts and mumbled something about "This donut..." then her voice tapered off. I'm still not sure what she meant. Maybe these were not ordinary donuts? Maybe they were made with gold leaf or hummingbird tongues by the Pope? I dunno. Anyway. Their prices are way too high for your average donut. I will not be back.

From past experience, the best ham & cheese croissants came from good ol' mom-&-pop donut shops and it had been quite a long time since I'd had one. To my surprise and excitement I realized this place is not just a donut shop but a hidden gem for savory breakfast "pastries" and sandwiches as well. Their ham and cheese croissants are quite large pillows-of-buttery heavy (yet delicate if that makes sense) dough soft on the inside, and beautifully crisp on the outside. It has that unmistakable, old-school donut shop magic--warmed gooey melted cheese, savory deli ham in a buttery & flaky croissant that sheds flakes into the bottom of the old school bag, and satisfying enough to carry you for hours.
