    Funnel cake, chocolate and original

Stopped by this mochi doughnut shot after a hearty meal at South Coast Plaza. Service was prompt and friendly. We got the 3 for $10 deal, with original, chocolate and strawberry. The consistency is a bit chewer than regular doughnuts, not really noticeable unless you're really paying attention. Out of the three flavors, the original is still the best, guilty pleasure level of sweetness. Located on the bottom floor under Paradise Dynasty, it is worth a visit if you're looking g for a snack or dessert after any of the awesome eateries around!

I love all types of mochi, and anything and everything that is chewy. :) I always like to stop by Mochinut to pickup a few donuts to go after having a bowl of pho next door. My favorite is the plain cinnamon sugar. I just don't really care for the ones with the glazed frosting on the top, which is too sweet. And super picky about my boba drink so I have not ordered it from here.

Came back to try their Korean corn dog and it hit my craving! Came out nice and hot within a few minutes. The only complaint I had was that it was hard to get the ketchup out of the container they gave me so I was tapping it on the table so I can get some lol!

Mochinut is located inside the Collage near Bloomingdales at South Coast Plaza. My cousin, her kids, and I wanted to split a half dozen but put into 2 boxes. The more you order, the bigger the discount. However, we were informed by the cashier that if we were to do that, a service charge would apply. Oh well. We both ordered a set of 3 mochi donuts separately. I opted for chocolate, matcha, and cinnamon sugar. The mochi donuts were tasty but were not fresh. I've ordered mochi donuts from other vendors where they are freshly fried. That is not the case here as it is a stand and they are stocked by a separate kitchen. They were okay and a quick sugar fix, while at South Coast Plaza.

We were eating dinner in the food court at South Coast Plaza and decided to stop for sweets on the way out. There was a Mochinut across the way so we grabbed a few to take home. They had a great selection of flavors! I wanted one of each but we were limited to only 6 for our box. We were helped immediately and had secured the box quickly. The light over the glass display for the booth seemed dim. Not as bright as the other food stalls. It probably would of made the donuts pop more. The cherry was really good. But very sweet. I get it, its like a donut. Maybe I will just get one next time.

I normally love this spot, but the female cashier working at 4:50PM on Sunday, September 28th has a bad Gen Z attitude. When I ordered my hot dog and asked for a specific sauce, she would impatiently interrupt me and told me to order my sauce later at the counter. She then asked me to repeat my order again impatiently. I didn't like her attitude at all and I hope a manager will teach her about having a better customer service oriented attitude. Regarding the food quality, Mochinut is always 5/5. This review is solely about the poor customer service I received today.

I have not had a mochi donut in a long time. This was a nice way to end a dumpling meal. The donuts were not that fresh though. At least they still had a chewy texture. I'd get this gain for my niece if she wants to try other flavors next time.

Brand and the sweet chili sauce

The girl that helped me was so kind and helpful. However, I feel like the order I got wasn't as savory as I imagined it would be. Idk... it was a cheese and potato "cheese dog" ? But it had sugar on it.. and then I was given a sweet chili sauce with it.. it would have been better if the batch had no sugar and I was given marinara or idk a different sauce with it.. the shop is close to other neighboring little eateries.. like a boba place and other Asian cuisine. There is not enough sitting I feel like for the amount of people at south coast plaza. Especially if you go during holidays.. overall.. I guess it depends on personal taste buds of each individual..

I've never witnessed a food section inside of any department stores, especially at Bloomingdale's. It was pretty busy because the layout of the food area is super compact but well worth it. Keep in mind there are liens at each of them, depending on when you go. We tried three flavors for the donuts and they were pretty good. Cocoa 5/10 don't eat the pretzel it's stale lol Mango 10/10 our fav Watermelon 7/10 was pretty hesitant but it tastes like strawberry to me!

    Great selection!

Three tables and a bench. I ordered the Roasted Oolong Latte with Grass Jelly for 7.25, and I finished it in literally 10 minutes. The prices are really good if you don't get toppings too! 50% sweetness was perfect for me, and I like how they have descriptions under each of the teas on the menu. Next time I definitely want to try one of their frappes with purple rice. They also have many season drinks including an Earl Grey Cheesecake Latte! For BAKO TEA HOUSE, I have to say that in am actually so utterly devastated and disappointed at how yelp and reviews lied to me saying that this place is 4.5 stars. The service was fine. The interior looks really nice. The phoenix oolong tea latte and the roasted oolong tea latte are disgusting. Tell me why I was feeling bad when I saw the drinks come out in under a minute. In what world can you have a diluted, old, no flavor, fake tea with the most mangled boba (it was not cooked properly) and charge me $7 without batting an eye? Horrible quality tea, horrible price, horrible boba, 0 stars if I could. Nah, save yourself your $7-$10 dollars and go get yourself some Omomo, some sunright, some OTHER drink

This time, I tried two peach-inspired drinks from their seasonal menu. Tangy Fresh Peach Slush This drink is light, refreshing, and perfect for a hot summer day. It is made with premium 4401 white peaches, giving it a naturally sweet and juicy peach flavor. The slush texture is smooth, and the sweetness is well balanced, so it never feels too heavy. Peach Yogurt Yakult This one was my favorite! It combines premium 4401 white peaches with organic Greek yogurt, creating a creamy yet refreshing taste. The peach flavor blends perfectly with the slight tanginess of the yogurt, making every sip smooth, fruity, and delicious. Both drinks are great choices for peach lovers. If you prefer something icy and refreshing, go for the Peach Slush. If you like a creamier, richer drink, I highly recommend the Peach Yogurt Yakult. I chose to go with the Mango Dew since it was more of a smoothie and it was a hot day. It had a mango based smoothie with passionfruit, one of my favorite combos. The drink with tax ended up being around $8 and it was ready in about a few minutes. After getting it, I loved the flavor and could not stop drinking it. My only complaint was that even though there was only 3 tables occupied, all the other tables were dirty so we didn't feel comfortable sitting while waiting. I think that says a lot since there were more dirty tables than clean ones. It also made it difficult to tell if someone was sitting at a table or not, or just in the bathroom. I'm always on the hunt for a good boba/tea spot, so I had to see for myself what all the hype was about! It's a small, cute, and quaint lil shop with a lil seating area. I stopped by after dinner around 6:30ish on a Friday night, and it was poppin'! You order from a kiosk and then wait for your number to be called. The menu had some really unique drink options, which made it a lil tough to decide what to get! For my first visit, I opt'd to try the Peachy Strawberry Glow, and it was delicious! It's a blended peach and strawberry smoothie with sweet mashed strawberries layered at the bottom. You can definitely taste the quality of the ingredients, and I loved that you could actually taste and get chunks of fresh fruit with each sip. I got the drink at 100% sweetness, since I figured the ice from the blended smoothie would dilute it a bit, and it ended up being perfect. The combo was fruity, refreshing, and just the right amount of sweet. I get that their drinks are handcrafted, but at $8.72, it's definitely a bit pricier than most tea spots. While I enjoyed my drink, I'm not sure it's something I'd go out of my way for. But if I'm in the area and craving a tea, I'd definitely stop by and try it again! RxFoodie recommends ~ at least try it once!
