First time at Mochinut this afternoon. Treated myself to an Ube Milk Tea with boba and I got a free donut because I had a coupon on the Sugarhouse app. Cute little shop!! Staff was great!! Milk tea was really refreshing!! Not too sweet, which was good because I don't like super sweet drinks. Ube flavor was really nice!! I chose the "original" donut, kinda like a glazed donut. I loved the texture of these mochi donuts. I definitely enjoy these more than the regular donuts, which are usually too sweet/heavy. While I like that they have weekly flavors, I feel they lack the really signature and yummy flavors. I had a hard time choosing three because the only flavor I wanted to try was the white chocolate raspberry, and everything else didn't look appealing to me. I would really like to try ube and other Asian flavors. These mochinuts are pricey, though--$10 for only three--so I won't be back very often. I'd definitely recommend going early cuz they might run out on popular flavors. Thank goodness they still had one last white chocolate raspberry left when I was there around 7pm. That was my favorite. The cinnamon churro and funnel cake were still good because the mochi donut was just amazing, but the flavors didn't stand out. read more

I finally visited Mochinut when it wasn't closed! We showed up about 30 minutes before closing, so their donut options were limited. But I was just grateful to finally get to go inside and try some donuts. Mochi donuts are delicious, there's no denying it. However, we were pretty underwhelmed by the flavors we tried. The original was great--classic glaze and chewy texture. But neither the Rocket Popsicle or Strawberry Daiquiri had much flavor at all...they were still *technically* good, but pretty disappointing when it came to the actual flavors. The store was very clean, the staff was very nice, and there was seating available outside. (No seating inside from what I could see.) Located in sugar house, Mochinut is here. This Mochinut location is in an area that has construction so keep that in mind. I went in and tried their matcha milk tea and their cinnamon churro mochi donut. I love the texture of their mochi donut and the flavor was really good. Their matcha milk tea was okay. The reason I say this is because their drink was really, really sweet. Even when I asked for it to be less sweet, it was still too much. If you're into really sweet drinks, then I would suggest to get their drinks here. However, if you're trying to find a place that can truly adjust their sweetness level, don't get it here. This is why I deducted one star. I would definitely come here to get the mochi donuts. I heard from coworkers that their Korean rice hot dogs are good here so I'll be back to try it out. For parking, there is street parking that is 2 hours free, but it's a bit hard to find on the weekend. There is an underground parking structure right in front of Mochinut that will require you to pay. BUT the best thing is, you don't have to pay the structure fee because Mochinut will validate your parking pass. Suggestions: come here on a weekday because there will be no lines and there will be plenty of parking available. read more

Was craving mochi donuts & so I took a drive on over to Mochinut SLC. Google Maps made it a lil difficult to find the shop initially. It's around the corner from the Buffalo Wild Wings. Shop is super cute! I loved the selection of flavors today. I got the original, cinnamon churro & fruity pebbles. Definitely will be back to try additional flavors. So far the fruity pebbles is my favorite. The mochi donuts taste exactly like the ones I've enjoyed back home in Hawaii. If you've never had mochi donuts before, these are a must try! read more

The mochi donuts are 5/5 but the boba leaves something to be desired. I absolutely love how soft, flaky and chewy the donuts are. Especially how they melt in your mouth and all the fun flavors they offer that change every season. The milk tea with boba however appears to be pre-mixed and to be honest, i only taste milk when i am drinking it. The cans are very cute and if the drink had more flavor this shop would definitely be a 5/5! read more

Top quality snacky treats here. The donuts are all delishoes. The drinks are so tasty. My only recommendation is to order plenty so you can taste it all. Was a little bit on the expensive side, but if it's consistently quality tasty yum yums then it's worth it. Went here on Sunday after getting my haircut next door. It was just before 5pm but the people working were still happy and willing to serve up some delicious treats. The shop is small and tucked away on a path between buildings. Parking down in the garage is probably the easiest thing. Luckily enough it was free on Sunday. Wanted to love this place as much as I did in the one in Seattle but it was not the sameeeeee. Their boba was old it had that extra thick slimy layover over. I used to work at a boba shop so I can tell when boba isn't fresh! The milk tea itself was actually pretty tasty. I thought it was odd how dark it was I thought it was going to taste like chocolate milk or something! Lol glad it didn't! Flavor was good not overly sweet! It was actually really good, if boba was fresh I think it would have been even better! Corn dog was okay. There was a corn dog spot in Seattle that was much better! I felt like their corn dog was straight up stuck on the stick so as you ate the breading would begin to fall off and you couldn't even slide the hotdog to move so you weren't just eating bread. I felt like it was a little bland until you got to the cheese part of the corn dog was decent. Felt like they should have put sugar on it but I think it's something you have to ask for when ordering. So maybe it might have tasted better with sugar added. Mochi donuts were okay... I think I just came when they had not so great flavors.. at one point all the donuts tasted the same. Granted I know it's all the same donut but at least with the toppings and icing at the other Mochinut I've tried you could TASTE the flavors and that's why I loved it so much. But the one in UTAH. This one all of them besides the funnel cake one tasted the same and they weren't as chewy. So disappointed. It's always exciting to be one of the first to review a new place, especially when you have nice things to say about it! I saw someone on tiktok mention a new donut place and I was all over it. They said that this would be unlike any other donut you'd ever had and they were right. The texture is something special. Crunchy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. It reminded me more of a churro, which, incidentally was one of the flavor options, and probably the one I enjoyed the most. The original glazed with sprinkles was my second favorite and the salted carmel was my third. Speaking of third, you can buy them by the 3's and just 3 of these bad boys will cost you almost $10. That is a pricey boutique donut, but it definitely is unique, so maybe worth the splurge! I probably could have eaten an entire dozen and not even blinked an eye, so beware. It's probably a good thing I could only afford 3! Definitely give them try. Next time I will be back for the hotdogs! read more

Happy to see a mochinut in Salt Lake. donuts are already made but the hot dogs are made to order so it takes some time. I was first in line and waited about 5 mins for two hot dogs. Interior is super cute and the packaging for boba is super cute. The mozzarella in the hot dog is really good. The Korean style corn dogs are so good made fresh (prob 10 minutes for two) and the doughnuts are chewy and yummy they're all the same base with toppings added a little pricey but a fun place to go and get treats. Great service always kind! read more

Really loved this spot! It surprised me how much I enjoyed the mochinuts. I expected them to be too sweet and have too much of the toppings but it was a great ratio of soft donut to topping. This store is so adorable despite the sewer smell right before entering, but it just reminded us of Hong Kong and we were happy to see the bright colors and beautiful display upon entering. I do wish the staff were a little more friendly and inviting, maybe asking if we've ever been (we hadn't) or if we had any questions (we did!). We tried all the flavors of the mochi doughnut but didn't try any of the corn dogs (yet...) I didn't ask if they gave validation but they weren't on the parking validation list so perhaps I assumed. The mochi doughnuts were so soft and pliable in the middle, they remind me of Brazilian cheese balls but sweet and with a flavor. I was lucky to be in town on the week of Banana Cream Pie, yum! These super soft and tasty treats are so unique and light. We happily sampled one of everything for the changing weekly flavors. Ube churro was a close second place and well, the dark chocolate raspberry was in a league of its own. We also tried the hot cheetos mozz k-dog and the potato half and half, both with honey mustard and now I'm just excited to try all of the other options for coatings and dipping sauces. Donuts were meh, drinks were too sweet and customer service was terrible. First, a donut was subbed without because they ran out of the requested flavor. That's fine, but she could have at least asked what I wanted instead of just giving me the wrong donut and not saying anything and hoping I would not notice. Next, they were out of boba and jellies. Again, she handed me the drinks without saying anything hoping I would not notice even though I paid for those additions. She went to refund me for the price I paid for the boba in 3 drinks, but told me she her manager would not let her refund the tax because she could not calculate it.
