The one thing I know to be true is that a good product isn't enough to sustain a business: you have to have good service, too. Today I had an experience that I had to share. On staff were Josh, Tushana, Ashley, and Fredy. First, I was greeted upon entering the front door. Next, I was asked how my day was. Then I was reminded how the pizza process works and was given great recommendations by the team. After my pizza was assembled, beautifully, I waited a few minutes before it was ready to go. While I waited, I couldn't help but notice how the staff used the downtime to ensure the store was tidy. And above all, I noticed the true "teamwork" spirit as each staff worked together and provided tag-team support to ensure the store was being well run. And, on top of that, the pizza was well made. this has been our family's go to spot for take out pizza during covid. I work about every other saturday at home so this is a nice option for us on those days. we really enjoy the pizza and love that we can put pretty much anything we want on it without additional costs. i want to point out this last time where we had an order that was wrong and another one where the box must have gotten turned as everything slid off the pizza, we called them and they took care of everything for us and gave us a refund. its things like that which makes MOD pizza an easy choice to go to for a pizza night, just wanted to give a positive review for the help and definitely recommend eating here! read more

I was greeted at the door by the entire kitchen staff, mad pleasant conversation with the people behind the counter, and my pie was delivered with a smile. I wish I had gone to middle school with all of the people that work here, just so I could make them mix tapes to proclaim my love for them. Very frustrating and inconsistent location. I have visited here frequently as it is close to my home. I have come here on numerous occasions at 945 which they are closed. Very often they are missing ingredients. Lastly, staff is very impatient with taking order, often makes mistakes. So I'm a bit of a pizza princess and have been to a lot of these build-your-own shops that have been opening up such as Blaze and Pieology...but I have to say that MOD exceeded my expectations. I usually don't opt for the premade topping combinations offered by the shops, but the Lucy Sunshine really caught my eye! Kimani was super helpful in assisting me as I wanted to add chicken to the pizza and it was no problem at all. What sets this chain above its competitors is the customer service. I wasn't expecting much as most employees just want to keep the line moving, but Kimani took his time and made sure I was happy with the outcome of my pizza. This review really should be dedicated to the caramelized pear iced tea! It is life changing! I usually get iced tea when I go out and I thought this tea would be super sweet and really it wasn't.... Got 2 pizzas last night from here only because Blaze Pizza was closed. Horrible. The crust has no flavor. It was so weird, like eating the pizza box. Really like this place! We are typically fans of make your own pizza places (with PizzaRev being our favorite). So we were excited to try this place when it opened up near us. They have lots of options of sauces, cheeses, and toppings. Everything looked really clean and fresh! I also LOVED that they had multiple sizes! The husband and I easily split the Mod size ($7.87), but next time we'll probably opt for 2 minis ($4.87) so we can each get what we want. He's more of a tomato based pizza lover and I love white or pesto pizzas. Our pizza was perfectly cooked. Nice and crunchy, but not burnt. The sauce was great. Very solid pizza! Came in to celebrate the last day of training before Mod opens on Tuesday. The location, which used to be a juice shack, is a gem. We've been watching the construction for a few weeks. Lunchtime will probably be a little trying for parking, down-the-line, with all the other places in this center, but as someone said, easier parking than the fast pizza places in DTCC. Once inside, even during training, they've got the assembly line down. Pick your pizza from the menu, or BYO. Two sizes to choose from or get a double crust (with your sauce choice in the middle, too!) I give credit to the trainers on site who not only gave instruction to the artists, but also showed them how to do the job and explained the reasoning behind the expectations. One example was a trainer showing how to get the cheese on the crust evenly from the middle to the edges, another was when a trainer explained why the crust had slightly burned when coming out of the over as they cut the burnt edges (if the bigger dough crust is placed on top on a Mega crust, it will likely fold upward as it baked and burn on the edges). Once you're done building your pizza, order your drinks and pay - and be advised of the milkshakes you can order! The staff and management are super friendly. My mom is a teacher, and they had some of those rubber bracelet MOD bling by the register. The cashier told my mom to take as many as she wanted, and when my mom said she couldn't do that because she just wanted some for her 5th grade students, everyone bent over backwards to get the kids covered! The 5th graders of South LA's Raymond Ave Elementary will be decked out in blue, red, & yellow Mod bracelets and treated to Mod yo-yos. Btw-when we finally got the pizzas home to a hungry house, everyone enjoyed! Great pizza, great staff...Great marketing (Found Mod info via Facebook ads!) Stopped here because I was craving another company's similar style pizza. I have to say, I liked this place SO MUCH MORE than those other guy's chain of stores. First off, the service was really great. Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable people made our pizzas. I have am allergy so they took extra time to answer my questions and ensure my food was safe to eat. The ingredients looked wonderfully fresh (except for the salami which I didn't get, it didn't look appetizing as the rest of the selections). The best part? I asked for a little more cheese and didn't get attitude like you do at Blaze. I had mixed white and red sauce, Hawaiian style, with both fresh and roasted garlic-yum! My friend had an Italian meats (minus salami) pizza. I love their unique toppings, they have a fig balsamic glaze that's excellent. Oh!
