I was introduced to this place by a coworker. The inside area is clean and cold. Outdoor area has good seating as well. The service at the counter should be a bit friendly and enthusiastic. Not a big fan of staff who won't smile and welcome you. The pizza it self is as good as you make it. Toppings are a good variety or you can just order them as per on the menu- the mod size is a great size for an individual. Pizza did come out of the oven and well cooked with crispy thin crust. Thinking that kids would like to make it to their liking.

A great, convenient work lunch. I like this location because it's fairly spacious, well-lit, and clean. The veggie toppings are always fresh and never have that wilted, sitting-out-for-hours look about them. Their workflow is standard for any Mod Pizza, but they're particularly efficient here during a lunch rush as they are near a good number of large businesses and office buildings. As far as food, I almost always go for a pizza with a white sauce base, spinach, chicken, mushrooms, and roasted red bell peppers with the balsamic glaze, though I sometimes go rogue and add other things. Never serves me wrong! Really, my only gripe is that for this particular section of this specific shopping center/plaza, I hate the parking and the outlet to De Zavala. While I know this isn't something under their control, it is something to take into consideration. You will pretty much always find parking one way or another, but it's a slightly cramped situation so I usually try to do earlier lunches any time I come here.

I first discovered MOD a few years ago and have loved it ever since! The restaurant is nice, always has fun music on. Staff are friendly and accommodating, which always makes it a good experience. I love the fact that you can customize your pizza with all of your favorite things, making it good for everyone. Pizza in the photo includes pepperoni, onion and pesto sauce. Highly recommend!

What isn't to like about this place? A subway style BYO pizza place with a oven that's hotter than Ricky Martin? I'm in! Had the mini Greek salad ($9) and the double pizza crust pizza. Mozz, sausage, pepperoni, red onion, and mushrooms. Really great pizza and at the end we topped it with mikes hot honey at no additional cost. After two drinks (unlimited refills) it came out to $37 with tip. We were full and happy. I'm a pizza fanatic and this didn't disappoint. Great crust and the sauce was nice too. This will always be in our rotating stops as the quality and service are great here.

We wanted something quick, easy, and delicious of course! MOD definitely checked all those boxes. We ordered online for pickup so we could relax at home. Both my wife and I did a "build your own pizza" and each of us got the No Name Cake. Ordering was super easy online and the pickup was super easy. Kudos to the team there for being very friendly as well. The pizzas were still very hot when we got home. They were not greasy at all either which is a big plus from my better half. All the ingredients tasted fresh as well. Really the only ding that we had was that they did forget the sliced tomatoes on my wife's pizza. Other than that, everything was excellent! A great option for a quick, delicious dinner!

I really wanted to like this place but every-time I order pick up or delivery, they get my order wrong. It's happened 2 times now and I've had to go all the way back to get it re-made. I recently ordered a pizza and the entire thing was wrong so I went back and instead of someone telling a manager ... they just asked me to wait until they made a new one. I sat 15 minutes until the new pizza was ready and they just handed me the pizza and didn't say anything or even ask what the issue was. It's really frustrating because their pizza is really good when it's made right. I'd say don't do delivery because it gets soggy by the time it gets to you and always check your orders! I also think they need to address the situations better with a manager involved. It seemed like this location didn't really care that I had to drive all the way back to get my right order.

Rule # 1 Great Pizza!! I had a great visit for some good pizza that I loaded up with toppings. You gotta love the selections to choose from and the clean environment throughout the whole place. It's a great concept and really enjoyed it. I would suggest just going down the line on the toppings or they even make it easy by having some choices already put together to choose from. Will definitely be visiting again! Tons of locations to choose from

Popular chain that's worth the hype! Came during lunch rush hour, and the service was still fantastic. Fast, inquisitive and great atmosphere. Literally got our entire party fitted in fast before class! For $10 you can literally customize your pizza however you want, can't beat it.

I'm sorry but rude customer service ruins the experience. The people on the line were rude and when I asked for more of something the guy grabbed a pinch of it... I love MOD pizza and had never been to this location but now I know better. They also started closing an hour earlier which made me feel rushed. Maybe start closing 15 min earlier but not an hour! No one wants to go somewhere and feel like your an inconvenience and if the worker feels that way they should reevaluate their job. One of the rude guys was talking fast and you couldn't really hear him so when asked if he could repeat himself he yelled at us... which was so rude! read more

The chipotle of pizza places! Much like Urban Brick, you make your own pizza. Meant to take pics inside, but forgot lol. Great atmosphere! Staff was super friendly. Sat outside with my dog. Food was great (but then again you pick your own toppings) lol. They do have much more unique choices than Urban Brick, a vegan cheese option, and different sizes... totally affordable, too! Definitely recommend checking it out! read more

It's a simple idea, but it comes together perfectly! I've been wanting to come here since they opened, but it always had a long line. We finally had a weekday when we were free to come by for lunch. Endless toppings with vast variety to choose from, as well as glazes and sauces that can be drizzled on top after the pizza comes out of the oven. The crust is thin, with a nice combination of crispy and chewy. The final product truly falls on what toppings you choose, but I know both me and my bf were very happy with our pizzas. Create-your-own places have definitely become the popular trend, and even though this place is a chain it was above my expectations. read more

Nice to have a pizza place in San Antonio with the non dairy cheese option for vegans. I built my own pizza with olives, artichokes, spinach, mushrooms and non dairy cheese. The staff was friendly and the pizza was fast. I got the 11" and could only eat half, so took the rest to go. The crust was crunchy and cooked just right. The seating is larger tables mostly, but we had our big high top table to ourselves. If the restaurant is packed, you'd be sharing a table with others. The restaurant was pretty busy on a Sunday night. It's a great place to go so everyone can get what they want individually and there's not a long wait for the food. read more

Loved it here! Went in and was greeted by the cashier, I didn't catch her name but she was very helpful! It was my first time there and she explained how it's sorta like a pizza version of subway and the different options there was! Pizza was great too! I am impressed. Great customer service and friendly atmosphere, not to mention great, cold.air conditioning...which is pretty important in this San Antonio weather. :) The size of the pizza is perfect and the crispy crust is soo good! The sauce was not overwhelming and added flavor to the mixture of toppings I chose for my pizza. You can select your own sauce and toppings which makes the experience even better. read more

This review is solely for this location as I love MOD pizza. I placed my order online and went to pick it up at the time my confirmation email stated. I walked into the restaurant and walked directly to the appropriate area marked "online order pickup". There had to have been at least 5 or 6 employees behind the counter at that time and yes they were all doing "something" and yes I made eye contact with every single one of them but I was simply just ignored. Not a single employee greeted me or a simple acknowledgement to let me know someone would be with me shortly. I patiently waited and saw two people walk in after I did and they were greeted and got their orders and left before anyone had yet to acknowledge me. It wasn't until 5 mins later (yes I timed it bc I was being patient) when I decided to speak up and ask for my order. I was then told "we're really busy and we're trying to fill orders as fast as we can". I totally get that but that shouldn't be their response for someone who's been patiently standing right in front of y'all and witnessed other people get their orders before I was even spoken to. Then a another female walked up, asked for the name on the order n rudely slammed my boxes on the counter and tried to rush me out of the restaurant. She forgot to look at the complete order and forgot to hand me my drinks. She finally handed me my fountain cup and gave me a defective lid :/. But the worst part was halfway through my first slice there was a disgusting long piece of hair baked into my pizza. I wasn't aware that hair was on the menu as a topping nor would I have chosen that as a topping! Simply disgusting and unacceptable... Do better for service and be more sanitary. read more

Had dinner at our favorite pizza spot tonight! Store was jam packed line out to the parking lot, seemed to have a fundraiser of some sort going on. When I got to the line everyone seemed to be on their A game and got me thru the line smoothly. Pizza came out in no time and was delicious as always. Also tried the new Oreo shake and have to say I'm definitely a fan. Always a good night when we come to Mod. Love the atmosphere! read more

Went to this location and ordered 2 pizzas online. When leaving I put the pizza boxes on top of my car and then drove off. When I realized I didn't have the pizzas next to me, I looked in the rear view window to see two smashed pizza boxes. Immediately, I drove back and asked to see if there was anything they could do. Graciously the employees and managers offered to remake the pizzas for no charge. God bless them and I highly recommend this location for a tasty meal. Advertising as fast pizza (which it is) might make you think you sacrifice quality but in this case you don't. Ingredients are very fresh and you get to build your own pizza or select from the menu. Thin crust is more like what you would find in Italy and allows for a fast cooking time. Prices are about $8 for an 11" pie and a mini 6" is available. We enjoyed it and the weather was perfect for the patio. A nice break from a chain pizza that is all crust and blah ingredients. read more

By far my favorite Pizza place! I love the fact that your pizza can be personalized to your liking and the combinations are endless!!! It is a go to for for our family, and we always have leftovers! Prices are fair and their BlackberryHomemade Lemonade is to die for!!! The atmosphere is ideal and the staff is always working efficiently and as quick as possible. I love the crust because it is so light, but filling. The food is amazing and the pizzas are quickly out of the oven. I recommend ordering the original size, eating half and saving the other half for another meal. By the way, Mod has a military discount! Mmmmm just thinking about Mod makes my mouth water! read more

My family and I have been coming to this location since the beginning of this year. The service was good and the pizza was outstanding. Of late we have been noticing the lack of service and taste has dropped. It seems that the people who make the pizzas do not have a very good knowledge of their menu. I consistently have to remind the pizza makers what I would like before they move on (or pushed) to the next section. I know they are trying to move the line along but it slows down when I have to tell them I want this or that on my pizza after leaving that section. I will still eat here due to the inexpensive cost and military discount they have. But as of right now all they will receive is 2 read more

I went here today and by far it's been the best pizza that I have gotten since I've been in San Antonio Texas. The server Martin was amazing, he did a great job explaining the different crusts and even the best toppings. The toppings were fresh and delicious. ONLY 10 min wait, cooked fresh on the spot!! All of the guys there tonight were wonderful. I will definitely be visiting there again. Thank you so much for your good service. I found this place cruising around after checking into a hotel in the area. I was looking for fast and simple and this place delivered that. I also liked that I could order a pizza and within 10 minutes take it back to my hotel. I ordered the Tristan because I was way too tired to create my own pizza. Price was good- relatively cheap. Pizza was okay- but incredibly salty. Service was fine but the person running the pizza creation line didn't know his menu pizzas (had to check the way) so that didn't give me a lot of confidence in their service. Meh. I probably wouldn't go back. It's what you'd expect for fast food pizza. read more

Had there not been a disrespectful employee, I would've had nearly no issues with MOD. I appreciated the fact that the pizzas were customizable, in both size and toppings. Food was out quickly, however it was decently hot. Overall was an enjoyable experience, good food, and for the most part good staff. Would recommend for everyone !! read more

Had it not been for a disgruntled employee, my experience at MOD was splendid. The pizza is always fresh and delicious. Tonight we tried the garlic cheesy bread and it was AWESOME! The only thing (and reason for the 3 star rating) was that there was a very unwelcoming, angry employee that simply killed the positive environment I love about MOD. The pizza was amazing, the customer service, not so much. read more

This place is pretty new so I was surprised at how dirty it is. Don't look behind the fountain drinks and tea stands, the counters look like they haven't been wiped down...ever. Trash on the floor everywhere. The staff isnt very attentive or kind. My pizza was burned so it didnt taste that great. I signed up for yelp today just to write this review and warn others. read more

I thought the food was made to order? Nope! The cheese wasn't melting really felt like they had just took everything out of the cooler and assembled it. The patty was cold not warm but cold. The bread wasn't buttered it was smashed like you couldn't tell the bottom from the top bun. Like I've never been to a Culver's like this. Culver's is my favorite burger place and to receive this mockery of a meal was insane. The cheese curds were cold. Like I literally couldn't believe I received that from Culver's.

While preparing my sandwich, I watched the employee place ham directly on the scale without wiping it down, using parchment, or putting down any kind of barrier. When I asked if they could place something underneath the meat before weighing it, the response was simply that they "sanitize it." The scale clearly wasn't clean. I could still see leftover meat on it and given that this location serves chicken, turkey, roast beef, pork, and more, cross-contamination should be a major concern. Customers should never have to point out that a dirty scale needs to be wiped before food is placed on it. What makes this even more frustrating is that I've experienced this same issue at other Potbelly's locations. I drove farther out to this store specifically hoping it would be different, but unfortunately the same unsanitary practice was happening here as well. Food safety should always come first, and this experience left me questioning whether proper sanitary practices are being followed across the chain.

These are all features of this location. The Wreck is my favorite because it's a hearty take on an Italian sub. It's just zesty and meaty enough, especially when the toasting heats it all up together. Staff here is friendly and builds a good sandwich. The interior is actually kind of nice even when busy. The faux rustic vibe is nice break from the busy outside shopping center. Parking is super easy, but again, it can get busy. Lunch here wasn't super busy when I went but it does take a little long to build these sandwiches so plan ahead.

The recurring major flaw, is the way the restaurant inside was designed. It is beautiful but made with all hard surfaces. Nothing present to absorb sounds. As a result sounds inside magnify to a point our servers have had to bend over or take a knee to gather clients food orders during busy times. I feel like I am ar a big Spurs game with the sound bouncing around. Those at our table have had a hard time to have a conversation with each other at times. The small room up front is designed so sound bouncing off hard surfaces is worst in this room. I have had to ask to be relocated twice from this room due the sound level. The kitchen area in the front do not have doors to abd from the kitcgen to the dinibg rooms. Another design flaw, as a result the seating areas loud sound comes into the kitchen area. I can not imagine how the staff communicate to each other in this work setting.

They are racist here, I watched a black guy pointing at what he wanted and the black woman behind the counter says nothing. I do it and she said don't touch the glass (very curt), I asked her if she was racist and she got upset. I asked to speak to her manager and he is black mixed and he said my tone and attitude are bad, which if you know me I'm typing happy, I just don't like the racism that blacks can do anything they want!! I now feel uncomfortable going to this location on De Zavala. Austin the GM should have said I will have a talk with her. It's hard to get away from black people these days! read more

The GM Justin has knowingly let a predator work there around young teenage girls. Brian was arrested for assaulting a co-worker. Justin was informed of the situation and has continued to let him work there. They have been negligent and have no regard for other employees. read more
