Walk too quickly and you'll miss it, but MODA is the perfect little spa to go to for some proper pampering~ I wish I had discovered it sooner! James is very friendly, professional, and detail-oriented: he will ask you about your skin regimen and concerns, make sure your skin is not currently inflamed/irritated, patiently answer all the questions you may have, then go above and beyond in providing a treatment that is best suited to your skin. I went in for a Hydrafacial because I felt that my skin was congested but also noted that it can be sensitive and that I had developed some rashes a few months ago due to topical Retin-A (never doing THAT again) and James took special care to be thorough in the cleaning process (because my pores were indeed very clogged) but also relatively gentle. I had some very mild redness right after the treatment but that soon cleared up to reveal a soft glow. Yay to clean and nourished skin! I went to MODA for my first hydra facial this week with James! I was nervous because anything to my face is always scary, but James was amazingly helpful and super knowledgeable about what my skin needed! I felt really comfortable and asked every question I needed do. Being a professional ballerina, I wear make up a lot plus having my wedding 4 months away I want to start to really get my skin fresh and ready. And a hydra facial was so perfect for me. The facial itself feels amazing, and James did a cleanse and a mask before the hydra facial even started( most other places don't do that). My skin IMMEDIATELY felt different. Less congested, more hydrated and glowy. But the second day it looked even better. My skin felt amazing! I love this place, it's easy to find, near a parking lot. I was there for the sugar wax and hydrofacial. Pai, my skin therapist was great. She is professional and knows what she is doing. I had so many questions about the sugar wax and hydrofacial since they both were new to me. She patiently explained it to me to make sure I understood and what to expect from these treatments. Sugar wax here is amazing. It's all natural, leaves my skin smooth after the wax. I heard about hydrofacial, always wanted to try and found out they offer that here. My first time coming to Moda studios skin was on August 25th, I've been wanting to try the hydrafacial for my skin since I've heard good reviews on it. I've had 3 microdermabrasions done before and other facials that have only left my skin looking and feeling very dry and sensitive, I love to take care of my skin and was a bit hesitant at first whether I would notice a difference on my skin or end up with a bad reaction. The entire experience was so relaxing, easy and pain free. Nancy Rae was helping me that day and was such a wonderful person and very knowledgeable on what to recommend for your skin. I felt very comfortable with the whole process which only took 30 minutes. I was very impressed with the professionalism and scheduling there, James took care of me and my needs.. I was able to re schedule due to last minute changes and James was amazing at accomadating the days I could come in. Everyone there is very caring, flexible and know what they're doing. My results: immediately after the facial my face felt clean, fresh, hydrating and looked brighter and healthy. No red marks or that burning sensation after. After the 2nd or 3rd day my cheeks were a mild pink color, but do expect for your face to start regenerating that new dewy skin that is from getting the facial done. By the 4th-5th day my skin was glowing, smooth, firmer and had such a healthy look. My co workers noticed a glow on my skin and told them about the hydrafacial at moda skin and are now very interested in going. I came back on the 15th for my next monthly hydrafacial and couldn't be happier with my results from the (1st one ) my husband will also be doing his first hydrafacial today and im sure he will love it, ladies they also need some TLC for their skin..my wedding is the 23rd and I'm happy both our skin will look fabulous on our special day. James and team transformed my skin with monthly hydrafacials. I'm on #8, and it's now part of my regular skincare routine. Skin feels hydrated and youthful. Aside from special occasions, I don't even wear foundation or tinted creams anymore; this was not the case previously. The team here is passionate about treating my skin with custom care. For me, it started off to deep clean some areas of adult acne, but now my skin doesn't breakout anymore, so we've moved on to improve overall tone and anti-aging. I've never had a facial and I was experiencing some changes to my skin so i decided to schedule a sugaring and Hydra facial. Their scheduling was a breeze. I try to take good care of my skin and have done regular facials at various spas in the Bay Area. But nothing compares to the HydraFacial experience at The Skin Spa at MODA Studios in downtown Redwood City. This advanced technology gently exfoliates and then infuses your skin with a blend of specialty serum, peptides and antioxidants. Hydrafacial was a snap. It took no more than 45 minutes and my skin was radiant and rehydrated. I added the CTGF growth factor serum to rebuild collagen and help with the fine lines and wrinkles.  At the end of the treatment I was given a cool Bio Cell mask which I loved! I came here for a hydrafacial two weeks ago and had a very pleasant experience! Molly performed my facial and was very professional throughout, giving me skin tips along the way. The ambiance inside of the spa was instantly relaxing. Their use of aromatherapy is great. Laxmi gave me a hydra facial after doing a very thorough skin analysis. She concluded that I was dehydrated, very congested, and that my barrier was slightly impaired. She manually performed extractions and added the suction. She was concerned with my comfort level and very thorough. My favorite part of the treatment was her massage. She relieved tension from my shoulder. She is strong, her hands are warm and she has a good spirit. It's been 3 days and my face is brighter smoother and my sensitivity has minimized. I had my VERY first facial EVERRR at the Skin Spa at Moda Studios by Agnieszka. I didn't know what to expect being that I was a facial virgin, but the experience was amazing! There are some things in life you have to be loyal to, and one of them is definitely the place that does your waxing or in my case, Sugaring! (which I recommend trying) Let's face it, when it's done right is great and these folks do a great job!! They're efficient, quick and I never have a problem with their service and their staff remembers me and of course, that's the best kind of customer service. The staff here is super attentive and makes sure during the waxing I'm comfortable. I just trust them so I let them do whatever they want.
