Food is very tasty. Portion size is very small. Cashiers did not greet us or offer to take our order. They pointed us to a kiosk to order. Apparently the person in front of us had difficulty ordering so the line started backing up. Finally the cashier motioned us to walk up and order. Crowded eating area where a majority of the customers were getting McDonald's. Sandwich was tasty with fresh ingredients, but as you can see from the photo, about quadruple the bread to ingredients.

I was on a very quick layover and had to get a bite before boarding. I'm always on the hunt for healthy meals and came across Modern Market. I quickly ordered the chicken and sweet potato bowl. Came out in very timely and I had time to eat it before I got on the plane. This is probably the best meal I've ever had in an airport. 10/10!!! It was so good, fresh, and healthy! Loved it! This is exactly what I was looking for - protein forward with healthy carbs, and the green spicy sauce was amazing! Appreciated the delicious meal!!

For lunch, I ordered a Thai coconut salad, which was a bed of mixed greens topped roasted chicken, rosemary maple sweet potato, toasted coconut, cucumber, toasted peanut, pickled onion, cilantro, peanut mango dressing. It was an interesting combination of ingredients. I didn't necessarily loved it, but I didn't hate it either. The combination of flavors just didn't do it for me.

I was absolutely delighted by the size and quality of my chicken bowl. I felt so healthy. The price was appropriate for airport food. I placed my order on the kiosk, and I received a friendly hello and greeting from a real human being working there when I entered the space. Best place to get dinner in DEN!

Placing and receiving my order was an absolute breeze. They have a self-service kiosk that allows for a straight forward and customizable ordering experience. The customer service was brief but helpful. I ordered the the Smokey Chicken Bowl. They offered a generous serving of all ingredients - chicken, potatoes, quinoa/rice mix, tomatoes, slaw, and salsa. The chicken and sweet potatoes were wonderfully flavorful. The rice/quinoa was pretty bland but that is ok with the various ingredients to mix with it. The tomatoes and salsa, however, we're so spicy I couldn't taste a thing. I also ordered the Mac n' Cheese. They were cheesy with a hint of southwestern flavor, I liked it. The noodles were just a smidge overcooked for my taste (I prefer al dente), but that could be due to the time of day - I ordered at 730p, so it had probably been cooked hours ago and softened over time. I paid $26 for both items. Portions were large. All-in-all, it was a good meal but be forwarded about the spice & wowza.

1.15.26: I had a layover in Denver and wanted to grab dinner without having to wait long at a sit down eatery. I also wanted something healthy, which is kind of hard to find at an airport without spending a decent penny. I came across modern looking for a pasta salad and to my delight they had healthy options. I ordered the Seared Ahi Salad and thought it was decently priced at under $20. The portion of ahi, veggies, and lettuce was pretty adequate and didn't leave me feeling bogged down. Greens were crisp and no signs of wilting, so that's a plus. Ambiance was hustle and bustle busy with travelers but I didn't feel I waited very long and I was satisfied with the value and freshness being it was "airport food."

I am a fan of going to Modern Market when I want a quick and healthy bite to eat. I assumed this location would be at least of similar quality to other ones I've been to before but that was far from the case. I ordered the Seared Ahi Salad and I was amazed at the lack of quality and care. First off, the salad just looked unappetizing and like it was just thrown together. Nothing was really seasoned or anything and the ahi was super cold like it was just taken out of a fridge. It tasted decent though. Service was pretty good with nice employees. Atmosphere is a little depressing there. It feels like a prison dining hall.

I find myself at DEN a lot. Modern Market is my absolute favorite place to grab a meal when I'm in DEN. The staff is always friendly and the service is always fast. My favorite item to order is the Thai coconut salad which comes with a peanut butter dressing. Absolutely delicious. It comes with chicken, but I also add tofu because their tofu is delicious. I always have to grab a curry sweet potato soup also. It's so good that I would to get the recipe and make it at home and eat it all the time. Casual. Modern is located near gate C31 in the Southwest terminal. Please come and create your own experience.

I had a 3 hour layover and walked up and down the terminal looking for something good and sort of healthy. I picked Modern Market because they say they make their food to order. I ordered the Buddha Bowl which had a lot of ingredients (Organic sesame glazed tofu, rice and quinoa, spicy roasted broccoli, carrot, citrus cabbage slaw, and peanuts with a peanut mango sauce) The tofu had no taste and I didn't see any sesame glaze. The carrots and "citrus cabbage slaw" also had no flavor. The carrots and cabbage seemed like fresh out of the bag with no seasoning at all. The roasted broccoli was the only thing in the bowl that had any taste and it was a bit spicy. I don't even like broccoli but I ate this broccoli for the flavor. The peanut mango sauce was ok but it didn't go with the bowl. It might have been better on a salad. I tried to eat it but couldn't finish even half of the bowl. I can't say much for the service since I ordered on a kiosk. They have their own little seating section but it was filthy.

Connected through Denver International on way to Maui and got a bite at Modern Market because it was one of the highest rated places. It is located between Chik Fil A and McDonald's, and those were definitely more crowded but those people do not know what they are missing. Daughter got the seared ahi salad, Cathie got the basil chicken sandwich and I got the chipotle chicken wrap. I also got a Mac and cheese with green chili to share. All of the dishes were above average for airport food! Lot of fresh ingredients and good sauces that paired well with the dishes. The acid of the green chili really helped cut richness of the five cheeses, although I am not sure I could taste more than 2 cheese flavors. I think they should think about adding some stronger tasting or sharper cheeses. Would I go here if it was a neighborhood restaurant? Not sure but definitely a must get if in DIA. read more

I wanted to give a shout-out to my go-to airport lunch/dinner spot in Terminal B. I feel SO thankful to have an option that is healthy, filling, and always satisfying when I'm traveling for work. What is commonly viewed as a dearth of options in airport travel, Modern Market is always reliable and fast in service. It's tucked away in the food court and usually doesn't have as long of a line as some of the surrounding fast food spots. There's ample seating in front of the storefront, but I normally take my food to-go. When I'm eating in the terminal, I've actually had quite a few people ask me where I got my meal because they're surprised by what looks like a delicious and healthy airport option. I normally opt for either the Buddha Bowl (with rice, broccoli, pickled red cabbage, carrots, tofu, and a great peanut sauce) or the Thai Coconut Salad (with mixed greens, red onions, cucumber, chicken, and a Thai salad dressing). Both are such good options, depending on whether I want a more substantial, rice-based meal or a lighter-salad. Always appreciate the Modern Market team for allowing me to get a healthy fill while I'm traveling! Thank you and please never leave Terminal B. read more

I was looking for some dinner before my flight and spotted this place. It's hard to find healthier options at airports but Modern Market has got you. They have some grain bowls and some wraps and sandwiches. I had a delicious sandwich with blackened chicken, bacon, aioli and lettuce and on a multigrain bread. It was fresh and quick. The service was decent. I would definitely search for them again when I'm at the Denver Airport. FYI this was at C gate near C28. read more

Food was great (mixed green salad and Mac and cheese from side menu), just the stuff I actually wanted to get was pricey (only bad thing), but something one would probably expect at an airport. Jk jk there was a flightless gnat-sized bug hanging out in the lettuce. Not sure if he was from tableland or from saladland, but either way...insect alert And there was a flying gnat who joined the party right after I killed the salad bug!! Solid fresh choice at the airport. I had the BLT salad with chicken. They gave two generous helpings of the salad dressing and portions were generous. The avocado is not freshly sliced avocado, but rather something like guacamole. I never found the bacon in my salad. They describes it as crumbs, but I couldn't even find crumbs of it. I'm glad this is in the Denver airport, as it is a decent little spot for a healthier bowl amid a slew of fast(er) food chains. My husband and I stopped in on a layover looking for a meal and both got the Buddha Bowl. The sauce is pretty good, the broccoli was not overdone and still had some crunch, and I appreciate the slabs of tofu, but it did feel like the bowl had skimped a bit on the broccoli and had far more of the brown rice than was necessary as I still had like a half cup of rice left over even after mixing everything with more rice than I typically would have wanted per bite. Don't get me wrong, the quality of each component was good (and for airport food, I'd even venture to call it great), I just have that little quibble with the ratios. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time, as well. Modern Market is tucked in next to a Chick-fil-A, so it ends up feeling a bit crowded, and the seating areas in that whole corner would probably be tricky to navigate with rolling bags in tow, but it does have some nice window views of the outside, too, which I like. I'll definitely be back next time I've got a layover through Denver! read more

The tofu Buddha bowl was super tasty and a good amount of food. My wife and I shared one during a long layover. Staff is friendly and efficient. The kitchen looks clean and there is some seating, which was key. Definitely the place we'll go the next time we have a layover in Denver. read more

Half Steak Salad FTW! Had the Mac & Cheese, not bad, real cheese is used. Can't say I loved the Salmon Salad that much though, it has thin slices like used on bagels. This place is under new management now, so NONE of the previous reviews can be trusted. They don't even use the same quality products in their food like they used to, it has gone WAY downhill. Prices are up, while portions are smaller. Do yourself a favor and skip this place. read more

Very vegan-friendly spot in the center concourse of Terminal B. They clearly label all vegan options as "V+", which includes a soup (curry sweet potato; $6.79) and two bowls (Buddha + Vegan Verde; $12.59 each). I ordered the soup and the Vegan Verde, and the order was ready in under 10 mins. The soup was simple but well-made, with a nicely spiced, gentle character, with a creamy texture. The bowl had tons of greens: kale, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, mixed greens, with some firm tofu, on a bed of brown rice and quinoa. It includes a generous helping of dressing on the side, which is pretty nice. For an airport vegan meal, it honestly doesn't get much better than this. Judged against city standards, it's just fine, hence my rating. But judged against vegan options at most airports, this is in the 99th percentile. Great spot if at DEN on a layover. read more

This is a nice spot for an airport, with better, fresher fare than many. I can recommend the bacon and greens plate. Good proportions of white cheddar and kale and bacon scrambled into the egg. Their multi-grain toast is on point! I wish there had been two slices. The roasted potatoes are also very good. I got a fresh fruit side, which is delicious, though somewhat frozen. I've had to let some of it thaw before eating it, but it's a great mix of blueberries, pineapple, and strawberries. And I'll add this, I was pleasantly surprised, and kind of shocked, to be able to walk right up and order food in the C Concourse. Maybe it's the difference between the gates in the 20's and the gates in the 50's, where the lines always seem to be a block long. Hopefully this is an auspicious sign for this trip. read more

Careful! The salad has barley wheat in it, and is hilariously expensive! I would suggest eating literally anywhere in the entire airport besides this place. If you ask for a refund they will make it difficult by having you wait for a manager. Just a heads up to my gluten intolerant homies just passing thru! read more

We were flying home and would be on the plane during lunch time. We checked out their menu and I was really intrigued by one of their menu items as it was not something I had before. What we got (no pictures unfortunately!): *Blueberry Pesto: Mozzarella, blueberry chia jam, tomato, arugula, basil pesto on ciabatta. *Basil Chicken: chicken, tomato, onion, provolone, basil aioli on ciabatta. My husband's basil pesto was really good, but I loved my blueberry pesto sandwich! What a unique combo. I only had half of it on the plane as it was large enough for me, but I was glad to have the other half at home the next day. Sadly, we do not have a Modern Market near us in NC, but it looks like there are some in Texas where some of our family lives, so we will look forward to having them again when we visit. read more

I had a very disappointing experience because of the host. A few minutes later, I watched him seat two parties who had arrived after me. I then spoke with another hostess and told her I was happy to sit anywhere except the couch. She even said she didn't know why I had been skipped. She went to ask the host, and when she came back she confirmed that he had intentionally skipped me. I also overheard him make an inappropriate comment after she questioned him about it. While I couldn't hear every word, it was obvious from the interaction that he had deliberately passed me over because I declined the original seating option. There is a huge difference between politely declining one specific seat and giving up your place in line. The host's attitude was rude, unprofessional, and completely unnecessary. The other hostess handled the situation professionally and was kind, but this host's behavior left an incredibly poor impression. I hope management addresses how guests are treated, because no customer should be spoken about or treated that way. To add to this- I absolutely love the food here, however this is not appropriate customer service

The sandwich did have a boatload of deli mustard in it, but even that was not sufficient to combat the dryness. The service area is also poorly designed or at least lacking signage telling people what's expected. There was no clear entrance queue and customers were going both ways in spaces that felt sized for single direction travel. They could have done a lot better with this location.
