Unprofessional staff, long waits, and cold food. Ordered lunch today around noon, waited 45 mins and had to ask two different employees where our food was. Both were extremely rude and unhelpful. The pizza we had ordered had been sitting behind the counter for at least 15 mins. They couldn't find the other half of our order, as it was apparently "lost" behind something and had also been up for several minutes. Zero apologies or acknowledgment about the delay. I thought I could tolerate the whole pizza, but after one bite of the 2nd slice, I had to tell them if they could remake it. 2nd time was better. Not as burnt. Overall it was good. When I order a grain bowl, I expect everything to be cooked and warm. This restaurant wasn't far from our hotel in downtown Denver. I decided to to take a stroll through the area to find a spot for lunch. Their menu has lots of healthy salad options, and that's what I was looking for. I decided on the "overnight braised beef bowl" which consists of braised angus beef, roasted cremini mushrooms and onions, kale caesar salad, and mashed potatoes. Orders are placed at a counter and then served at another counter. It didn't take much time for my order number to be called, and since I decided to take it to go, it came neatly packed and bagged with all the utensils. I've been to a few modern markets before this one and stumbled upon it while shopping on 16th street. First off, the location is perfect, it's situated right at Champa and 16th, making it an easy place for shopper like myself to find some quiet on the typically busy mall. I ordered the blueberry pesto sandwich with no tomato (which did end up being included) and a cream soda. The sandwich was amazing as always, save for the inclusion of the tomatoes but they were easily removed, and the cream soda is one of the best I've ever tried. All of this for around $15 makes this a great option for a good lunch! The wait was a little bit long, it took around 15 minutes to get my order and I had to wait a little over 5 minutes to order, despite the fact that I was the only person in line. I account this largely to the fact that they were dealing with many online/delivery orders.
