I scheduled an appointment online, first time in the salon and was surprised by how nice and girly it was. My appointment was at 10:30am and I arrived approximately 5 minutes before since from other pictures I could see that the seating area to wait wasn't very big. I checked in, sat down, and waited...and waited...and waited. 48 minutes later I was finally able to get started with my nail appointment. I was offered something to drink on several occasions and politely declined. I was explained once that the receptionist made the error of taking 2 appointments ahead of me. So I waited. I needed my nails done for an event the next day, so I waited. The nail tech, I believe her name was Jessica (it could be Jennifer I don't remember clearly) was nice and she was quick. I thoroughly enjoyed her work and conversation. However, I didn't get what I requested as far as service. I requested a signature manicure and gel over lay manicure with design. I got the latter of the services but had to ask about the services included in the signature manicure such as cuticle trimming (which happened AFTER the gel overlay and design were done leaving space between the gel overlay making the nails look slightly outgrown instead of fresh), the collagen treatment (which again were done AFTER the design was done leaving the design dingy looking), and did not receive the massage service. During the service I was offered a mimosa which was nice. But I didn't drink much of it as once the service started the flying particulates from the nail filings were flying around and into the liquid. I was also comp'ed an eyebrow threading to compensate for the wait time. Ms. Mary did a good job. Cleaned up nicely. However, the oil she used on my eyebrows at the end of the service caused for my eyelids to severely dry out. It seemed as though she used the same oil used on my cuticles and it was not meant for the face. At the end of the serviced I was told I was not charged for the collagen gloves, or the eyebrow threading. However, no receipt was offered, and nothing was shown to see what it had actually been charged. Was there a discount, perhaps but no way to verify especially since there were services not rendered. Would I go back, maybe. I was happy with what Jessica (the nail tech) did and would like to see what else she can do. But I wouldn't want to get my eyebrows done again. Also, would like the opportunity to receive a breakdown of what I was actually charged for. read more

I paid full price for this, not a pleasant experience. I made clear that I'd go somewhere else, insisted on fixing with this as result. If a customer is not pleased with how nails are coming out, then fix them properly. Highly recommend to go elsewhere. read more

They open at 1200pm on Tuesday, so it wasn't crowded and I got right in. The staff was very kind and the facility was nice as well. Lan did my manicure and she was very nice and always made sure if the shape of my nails were okay before proceeding. I will request Lan again. I gave this salon three different tries before writing this review, and had different manicurist and pedicurist each time I went to see if it would improve based on the technician. Each time I got a gel manicure and gel pedicure. The first time I went, I left with uneven polish on my nails, and different lengthen nails; normally they will reshape them after they polish but it felt like this tech was rushing to finish in the "estimated" time they note each appointment would take. The tech who did my toes didn't cut my cuticles or really buff my callus, so it just felt like a half attempt at the package I got. The second time, the tech who did my toes literally didn't take off some of the previous polish and you could see it through the new color (I did a sparkle); they looked so bad. And the tech who did my hands didn't pay attention to the shaping, and felt rushed. But the third and final time I went was the real joke; I wanted a darker base coat with a light layer of sparkle on top for the holidays, the tech who did my hands did multiple passes so you ended up only seeing sparkle. I told her that it was too heavy so she kept filing it off verses removing it with polish. And this went on for about 20 minutes; and the time under the lamp was shortened to 30 seconds verses the normal 60 seconds. I wasn't happy about how it was going and when she "finished" and put the cuticle oil on, I was ready to go. However, will up at the front paying and rubbing the cuticle oil on my hands I looked down and noticed that the entire coat of sparkles and some of the darker polish had come off and was all over my hands. The manager or owner right away had me sit back down and I told them to take it all off and start fresh. I ended up being there for over an hour and half. They did provide me a 50% off the manicure but the damage at that point had been done. It is a cute and modern salon, and it was so conveniently located for me but unfortunately I will not be returning based on my precious experiences. read more

My sister, husband and I visited the Modish today (Tuesday) and boy we had a good ole time. We booked an appointment ahead time and waited about 5-10 min for the technicians to set up. The ambiance is amazing. Each customer receives 1 complimentary drink (coffee, water, champagne, beer etc). All three of us received classic manicures and pedicures. The technicians did a great job with sprucing up our nails and cuticles. The message chairs with the built in remotes were my favorite part of the experience. Walked in and requested a pedicure and the receptionist said it was going to be a couple of minutes - ok perfect. Sat down in the waiting area and a couple of minutes later was taken to a chair and offered a water - still doing good. Then I sat and waited for 30 mins with my feet in the water as the two receptionist looked around and eventually came over and apologized. I left.
