Wednesday Special! I'm not sure what happen is it a bait and switch sorry we don't have the $5 special, but how another item, nope.

We went as a group, to find out they don't offer separate checks. Our server was great with what she had to work with in knowing what was available! The food our group had was great. My order couldn't be completed as on Wednesday evening one of your specials of sliders was not available as was your poorboy sandwiches. I ended up with a side caesars salad, then was charged for a salad with chicken (I cannot eat the chicken as it's spiced). I'm not the right customer for Moe Joes first and last visit.

Location right downtown but you feel like your stepping into a place on Bourbon Street. The menu is very authentic to what you find down there. We started with fried Gator Tail presented very nice. The hubby went straight for the Gator Burger myself went for a healthy meal Fried Green Tomato BLT. Beer menu has a lot to choose from with local breweries available. We sat in the bar area but they do offer outdoor seating and a dinning room

Specials but can also order from main menu

Moe Joe's on Fat Tuesday is to be experienced!! Entertained by the dancers and liveliness. Decorations were fantastic felt like New Orleans! Shrimp and Grits were flavorful and spicy but not too much. Bienet was warm and fluffy. Awesome experience except for the wait but we expected that!

Went for a nice dinner here on Saturday night and we sat with the Owners daughter Lola. She did a Fantastic job. Very knowledgeable, attentive stopped by to check on us. Next time you are there ask for her. The food was Amazing as the photos look. Hot and Fresh!! The Ambiance makes you feel like you are in New Orleans!! The BEST Cajun food anywhere!!! Wish I could give it 10 stars.

    Seafood jambalaya

Food was awesome I had a seafood jambalaya. It was on point! I'm coming back next week to try something else. I can't wait. The server was awesome friendly and knowledgeable of the menu.

We kinda came here by accident! I was craving Jamaican food and somehow online, the closest "Jamaican" restaurant to Naperville was here. So definitely was shocked when we walked into a Cajun restaurant instead and the closest thing to Jamaican food was the Jamaican flavored wings... Probably should've looked up the menu before walking in here but oh well. I ended up ordering the Jambalaya and my husband ordered alligator tail since we were here and honestly can't complain. Food was decent, portion sizes are huge. Staff was friendly. Looked a little grimy on the inside but I'm not sure if maybe that was the tavern style vibe they were going for. Super chill restaurant/bar overall and on our way out we even saw they have trivia nights during the summer

    Liam!

Liam was a PHENOMENAL cocktailer! He recommended the Key Lime Pie martini and the crawfish arancini's!

    Bar area,

The bar inside is cool. A lot of drink options. Friendly bartender. However, their service is not as nice. I ordered food to go, fried catfish, gumbo, sides. Took 45 mins (understandable for the catfish, I guess), but my sides were nearly cold. Their to go bags came with a sticker on top and it's my bad that I didn't check, but $40 and 45 mins or so later and they didn't even check. I called to tell them I'm coming back for it and they said that it sitting there and I can grab it. It's been or will be 40 mins sitting there! The sides I got were Mac and cheese (not good) and the yumbo (which was delicious and that's why I remembered I ordered gumbo or thought I did). I looked at the receipt and it was there but not in my bag. So disappointing. On the receipt it even said all to go. Sorryyyy :/ to tell their back staff. And picking it up, my daughter said they told her and my husband it was the same one sitting out! For 40 mins!! They didn't give them a new one when it was them who should've been on top of what they give out!

Came in on a busy Saturday night after attending another event in the area. The bar was hopping and we snagged the last 2 available seats. At first, it appeared they had 4 bartenders, a manager, and a barback behind the bar. However, other than the barback consistently washing/unloading dishes I am not sure what was going on with the service. Manager was not providing any assistance to his staff. However, he was filling his own water bottle. Other staff were taking selfies with guests. It took awhile to order a second round as well as pay our tab. This was a one and done visit for me.

DOPPELBOCK 'N ROLL…read more This suburban brewery taps a solid, headbanging beer. I've always felt that a cold draft hits differently than a can or bottle. When the mood strikes me, I'll venture over to Garage Band Brewing on Des Plaines St in downtown Plainfield, next door to Station One Smokehouse (with whom they share a symbiotic relationship). Their brews have hard rock-inspired names, like 'Stout It Out Loud' (a play on the KISS song), 'Hop Shaped Box' (Alice in Chains), and 'Hybrid Th30ry' (a 30 IBU pale ale with a nod to Linkin Park). Last time here, I got 12oz of the 'Don't Harsh My Mellow' for $6. I dig the packaging wrap on their 16oz cans of Dizzy Up the Blonde; a Marilyn Monroe-esque lady sitting on a 55gal drum, suggestively tugging on her red high heel with one hand and holding a chalice of beer in the other. What's not to like there? They have a trio of pinball tables that get sporadically rotated out. Previously they had Foo Fighters and Star Wars, now they've got Stranger Things, JAWS, and a gorgeous Godzilla premium model at $1 per play. There's a digital jukebox too, if you wanna pick tunes for the venue. * TL;DR * I lack the time and expertise to brew my own beer, so I'm happy to leave it to the pros. Garage Band is a small operation with big dreams, and they already have a handful of solid brews in circulation. I check back every few months to see their new seasonal drafts, like a shandy in the summer and darker Oktoberfest-style beer in the fall. They're closed Mon-Tues. Beer and pinball are significant passions of mine, and since Garage Band has a nice selection of both, they get an easy 5*.

We were pleasantly surprised to find out apps were 25% off- which meant we had to try the pretzel. I think it may have been the biggest pretzel I've ever seen in my life. Paired with any of the 3 dips, it made for the most delicious appetizer that essentially filled up our entire table itself. Special shoutout to the arse sauce & their honey mustard- sooo good. The table also tried the buffalo chicken wrap (YUM), caprese sandwich (good!), and penne alla vodka (somewhat mid but better as leftovers). Sweet potato tots were the perfect side. This was my third time here and they honestly never disappoint. Service & food always hit. My go to spot when visiting Plainfield!

O.M.B. (ONE MAGNIFICENT BURGER)…read more Their name doesn't say it, but Next Whiskey Bar serves an incredible burger. I know my way around a sandwich, and I have to say the offerings at NWB in downtown Plainfield are some of the best around. Look for the blue & white house on Lockport St, and you'll know you've found it. NWB doesn't take reservations, however you can join an online waitlist. Park on the street or in a small lot adjacent to the building. The beer selection is fantastic, a pint ($8) never disappoints although I usually lean towards a Hefeweizen or pilsner with my meal. Yeah yeah, I know this is a WHISKEY bar, but yours truly doesn't do the brown liquor.....bad experience with Jägermeister as a kid. For appetizers, the cheese curds ($14) are pricey but oh-so-worth it. They come with a cilantro aioli and we get an order of these every single visit. The cauliflower popcorn ($11) is also a very worthy choice for starters; roasted and seasoned cauliflower florets are served with a sumptuous clarified butter. Their house NWB Burger ($16.50) is a busy affair, with pork belly, bbq sauce, onion straws and cheese curds on a pretzel bun. The Big Jer ($15.25) is a much simpler yet equally stellar burger with 2x4oz patties, lettuce, tomato, and Merkt's cheddar spread served with a pickle spear. I recently tried the Suribachi ($15.50) and it blew my mind. A 1/2lb patty is lightly fried in tempura batter, then topped with pepperjack cheese, wasabi coleslaw and sriracha on a brioche bun. Next time, I'm giving the El Toro a shot (pickled habaneros, corn guac). My wife loves the pork belly mac ($16), a good portion of cheesy cavatappi pasta with crispy pork belly. Their Cubano ($15) is solid and the Taylor Street panini ($15) is a tasty Italian grinder, with prosciutto, salami, provolone, lettuce, tomato and olive spread on focaccia bread. NWB's homemade chips are amazing, I always opt for them instead of fries (which are also great). Bread = 5+ Circuses = 4.5 Service has been generally fine, but last visit it took a long time for our server to come by initially. The inside of this converted house is somewhat cramped so if the weather allows, I suggest dining 'al fresco'. Their outdoor patio definitely passes the vibe check. I honestly can't decide whose doughnuts are better, Empire in Naperville or Next Whiskey Bar's. It might be a tie! In any case, we ALWAYS end a meal here with the fried doughnuts ($11) that come with a heavenly whiskey caramel sauce for dipping. * TL;DR * In my mind, NWB stands for "Nirvana, With Burgers". Everything we've gotten here has exceeded expectations. Cheese curds, cauliflower popcorn, pork belly pasta, doughnuts and of course burgers all stand out. I would get the Suribachi again in a HEARTBEAT. The ambiance is ideal for date night and small groups, and with a small dining area that fills up fast, come early or expect a wait. Next Whiskey Bar is one of my favorite restaurants in the western suburbs, I highly recommend them.

Just a personal opinion. Was fresh and different. Ordered a house salad which was good, fresh and not watery like some places. Then the pizza, great crust. Well risen, chewy but not soggy at all , just the right crisp and not skimpy on the toppings. Sauce was not sweet and a good roasted tomato flavor. Service was fantastic on an early Saturday evening!
