Pulled pork, Mac & cheese, cornbread, banana puddin'

We came here the last time we were in the area in 2018 and I couldn't wait to go back. Everything was great. Front staff were super helpful & friendly. We got ribs, pork dinner and 2 kids meals. Both kids ate all of their food- almost never happens. The pork and ribs were great. My favorite thing is the corn bread! Some of the best I've ever had. It was chilly the day we were there so we sat inside. There's lots of out door seating and activities too.

Was craving some local southern bbq and found Moe's. I'm from K.C and used to great BBQ and Moe's didn't disappoint. Southern style with a more vinegary BBQ sauce it was the perfect touch to their wonderful smoked meats. The bbq chicken wings were perfection. Perfectly smoked and I couldn't decide if I liked their dry rub or sauces better. Bedsides turkey and chicken their specialty is smoked pork. They only smoke beef once a week which is brisket on Wed. I tried their sampler plate and was able to try a little bit of everything. Their smoked turkey was perfection. I typically don't like turkey but there's was moist and had lots of flavor. My second favorite was their pulled pork which was beyond tender. Their pork ribs were also good along with their local homemade sausage. Their jalapeño cornbread was some of the best I've had along with their baked beans, and black eyed peas with okra. If your looking for authentic southern bbq don't hesitate to stop by Moe's!

Service was great and the young lady that took our order was awesome. Food was good, we had the pulled pork platter and the rib platter.

The entry is to the left but in back is a super cool picnic setting / stage.

We see so many bbq restaurants and the food is always just eh. The meat is never warm or juicy and somehow that's supposed to be acceptable, I just never understood that thought. Then, I found Moe's. This place means business! And, amazingly, I got warm and juicy meat!! The pork was so tasty. I don't think I have ever had anything near its level of quality to compare. I'm a potato salad "snob" and theirs did not disappoint because you could taste the freshness and skill put into the salad. The vinegar based Cole slaw had a lot of crisp with a slight touch of sweet. The Mac and cheese was old skool good and definitely should not be overlooked as a side possibility. The corn bread was a nice addition, too. I have never had it served fried as this was and man! It was surprisingly good. The restaurant itself was nice. It's a quick little place with clean tables and a couple tvs inside next to where you would order for dine in or to go. They had some cute artifacts on the wall. One, in particular, brought back so many memories as I recalled my own cassette tape collection. The best part of all was the service. The gals behind the counter are the real deal. They know their product and they know how to take care of customers. Seriously. What more could you ask for?

What a fun place, we stopped by to get a beer and their pork rinds. The employees were nice and in the back they had benches and a few games. The pork rinds were great. I'll be going back the check out the BBQ

ATMOSPHERE Nothing too special about the atmosphere here. I just love that. It was nice clean open area with large windows and plenty of seating and easy to get around. The bar area look cool and the layout was nice. FOOD this is why you came here, right! All kinds of fish cooked all kinds of different ways. Delicious gumbo. Love that pimento cheese ball appetizer with that blueberry pepper jelly! For lunch, I had the meat and three. It was all good, especially the collard greens. SERVICE THIS WAS MAYBE SOME OF THE BEST SERVICE I HAD THE WHOLE TIME I WAS IN ORANGE BEACH THIS WEEKEND. OUR SERVER WAS SO AMAZING. I HATE THAT I CAN'T REMEMBER HER NAME, BUT SHE WAS ON TOP OF IT AND SUPER DELIGHTFUL. DRINKS The bar area looked really nice. Most of my table had iced tea which everybody enjoyed. I also got a beer from the Mississippi Gulf Coast. I was very impressed by their beer selection and they are a verified venue on the Untappd app so you can go to that app to look at all the beer selection and even filter and sort the beers so that you can have an easier time selecting the proper beverage. It even came out in a glass that matched the beer that I had! I like that extra touch.

They had a meat and three sides which is a southern thing. I chose the fresh catch. with side salad, boiled red potatoes, and greens. I had asked the server for the salad first. But it was brought with the meal. The salad was fresh and crisp, with a surprise of a small Peppa dew pepper. Blazing red with a little heat and delicious. Haven't seen them in a restaurant ever. Unfortunately my fish and potatoes were cold, cold and butter congealed. The greens were warm and good I had also ordered the cornbread. It was refreshing to see that it wasn't the usual cake like kind, plus not the ultra sweet kind either. More bread like with a hint of sweetness. Delicious. The fish and potatoes had a nice flavor but unfortunately the cold food spoiled the experience. Since I was a guest of my sister I didn't say anything about the cold food. What a disappointment. Maybe when I return things will be better.

The place itself is gorgeous. The setting is fantastic. You walk in thinking, "Okay, this is going to be a great experience." Then somewhere between the host stand and the check, things begin to unravel. Today finally pushed me into Yelp-review territory. We stopped in around 1 p.m. on a slow Sunday. The hostesses were gathered around the stand chatting like somebody had just dropped screenshots from the group text. The person who eventually greeted us was wearing dark sunglasses inside, which was certainly a choice. Not exactly the polished first impression you expect from a restaurant charging these prices. Once seated, things didn't improve much. Our server struggled to explain the specials, answer basic menu questions, or really seem familiar with what the restaurant was serving. Again, if I'm paying Zeke's prices, I'm expecting something slightly more polished than, "I thinnnnk that comes with..." Then the food arrived. One sandwich was specifically ordered without onions because of a food allergy. It arrived covered in onions. Another meal was supposed to come with Brussels sprouts. It arrived with fries instead. Our server disappeared for about 15 minutes after the food was dropped, so by the time she came back, we were nearly finished eating and in need of refills. I mentioned the missing Brussels sprouts and was told they'd be "right out." The Brussels sprouts were not right out. In fact, the Brussels sprouts apparently entered the witness protection program because we never saw them again. Neither did our server. Eventually she returned with the checks, seemed surprised that the Brussels sprouts had never arrived, removed them from the bill, and otherwise appeared remarkably unconcerned that the meal had been wrong from beginning to end. And that's really my issue with Zeke's. Restaurants have off days. Kitchens make mistakes. Servers forget things. I get it. But when you're charging premium prices, service should be the easy part to get right... and after multiple visits, Zeke's consistently misses the mark. At this point, I'll spend my local dollars elsewhere. And if you're visiting from out of town, just know what you're getting into: the view may be beautiful, but there's a decent chance your wallet will leave considerably lighter while you're still wondering whatever happened to your Brussels sprouts.

We saw him pouring someone else a bushwhacker, which is my favorite drink, and asked if he makes a good one. He replied "I make the best one", and he was absolutely correct. We were sat after less than an hour, and our waitress Haley was amazing. She was friendly the entire night and we had great banter with her. We ordered crab claws as an appetizer and they were cooked to perfection. My husband ordered the Surf-n-Surf and I ordered the Bronzed Grouper. Haley checked in with us often, and after some time she realized we hadn't received our dinner. She went to check on it, and there was a technical issue with their handheld and it hadn't gotten rung in. My husband and I weren't upset because we understand how it is in the restaurant industry, and sometimes technology fails. We didn't ask for a manager, but one came out and spoke to us and apologized, which we appreciated. We received dinner shortly after that, and it was some of the best seafood we've ever had. We ordered the creole cheesecake and chocolate cake to take home with us, and they were both phenomenal as well. When it came time to pay, my husbands card wasn't working properly, so he went to grab mine from the car. Haley was patient with us the entire time. It can be hit or miss depending on what you order however, we have been enough to know and share with others what to order and what to stay away from. The following is from our most recent visit. We began the meal with a Cosmo and a Fairhope Brewery Blue Steel Sour. Both were very good. The Blue Steel sour has notes of blueberry. For an appetizer we ordered the cheese dip. It consist of three cheeses, including Gruyere, which is one of our favorites. The cheese also comes with feta cheese and a tomato relish over the top, which we find very good. It makes the cheese dip a little different than others. The tomatoes are very soft and the relish is on the sweeter side. My Wife got the chicken roulade. It was okay. The chicken was good however, it is wrapped in bacon and flash fried. In our opinion the flash fry isn't needed and it adds the risk of the bacon being overdone or burnt, which is what happened. The Parmesan risotto was a little gummy but had good flavor. The cream sauce that accompanied the dish was probably the best part. I got the fish sandwich and upgraded from sheepshead to grouper. You can get it fried, blackened or grilled. I chose grilled and it was really good. It was not the first time I have gotten the fish sandwich. The bun is a sourdough/Hawaiian roll hybrid. I got an order of fries to go with the fish sandwich. Their fries are really really. They're slightly battered and crunchy. Very good with ketchup or tartar sauce or both! If you visit I would suggest sticking to the fish sandwich, burger or fish dish (grilled/blackened) that comes with a cream based sauce. Their drinks and beer is selection really good as well. Most of the time on weekends they have live music if that's your kind of thing.
