My buddies who are law enforcement went here to eat today in uniform. Unbenownst to the staff, one of them spoke Spanish. He overheard the staff talking to each other saying they were fat pigs in Spanish. The staff here should be ashamed of themselves. When you go to Moe's competitor and get guacamole on your meal, they charge you once. When you get guacamole on your order of tacos at Moe's, they charge you for guacamole PER TACO!! $26.87 for three tacos is despicable! Emailed customer service and got no response. I came in first thing in the morning, about a week ago, and had a tray of nachos to go. The food tasted amazing, and I would totally order it again. The only thing that could be better is the chips. The nacho chips were soggy when I drove home to eat them. I would recommend eating the nachos in-store. The restaurant was decently clean, as you can see from the photos, but not spotless. They opened on time, and were very friendly and seemed to be happy to be there. I love this location and I plan to come back more. read more

Too salty. Too salty. I went back today only to remember why I stopped going to Moe's in the first place. Their queso and chips are insanely salty. The salt overtakes any flavor in the queso. The chips are almost inedible from so much salt. I feel like years ago their queso at least was much better. I mean, by no means healthy, but edible and enjoyable. Jay and the team here really have this location dialed in, at the Shops at County Center on the corner of Prince William Parkway and Hoadley.  Their ingredients are always fresh, and plentiful.  The Salsa Bar is always stocked and fresh.  This Moe's location has never disappointed.  There's also always several people at the counter ready to help you.  Friendly, helpful, fun, and laid back staff all the time.  Really great folks! Zero stars. Ordered ahead with app. 3 of 4 items not ready when I arrived. Apparently the printer has issues and staff is unable to reprint or even view any online order. The cashier transcribed the order from my phone but the line ignored her request for the missing items and she eventually had to leave the register to make them herself. 40 minutes of waiting in the store and finally out the door. Get home and find 1 burrito is completely wrong. Avoid this place. Chipotle is just down the road. read more

This used to be our weekly (1-2 times a week) go-to place. Let me explain why it is no longer.... My spouse and I are busy young executives that do our very best to live a healthy lifestyle. We choose to go to Moe's at least once usually twice a week for a quick to-go meal that we can base our calorie expenditure on. I would consider ourselves regulars at this particular location as we have watched different staff members come and go and regularly see who remains. As being a regular we have watched the quality and quantity of our food from Moe's decline over time. We very much understand the ebbs and flows of business and it is not hard to decompose why certain portions seem less than standard than others (food service management should understand what I am getting at here). For context we always get (earmuffs) bowls to go. We used to really look forward to Moe Mondays that we lovingly dubbed "Moe's & Shows", a night that we can grab some healthy-ish food and catch up on our favorite shows together in an effort to combat our busy schedules. Sadly, that is no longer the case. On the regular with this location we have seen certain staff members cut our portions for whatever reasons they may have. As other reviews have pointed out over the last several months a continual occurrence was to have certain toppings always low or nonexistent such as grilled peppers, onions, mushrooms or chicken. When we were fed up enough with the quantity decline based upon the serving sizes listed on the Moe's website we challenged the staff only to be fought with resistance on how the staff is trained to "shake out" serving sizes for certain ingredients. Why this is a big deal is what is advertised on the Moe's website. Let me pick on chicken as a protein for example. On the Moe's nutrition website is explains each serving of Adobo chicken is ~19 grams of protein which is equivalent to a half of cup of chicken. What Moe's serves you is I would say much closer to a fourth of a cup. So, what as consumers are we really paying for? Of course, the staff then asks you; would you like to buy double chicken! Ok so let me get this straight, we are undercut what is advertised but the expectation is to buy another serving to equal closer to what should have been served in the first place? I just don't even know how to explain my feelings about that without many expletives... The so-called manager (and I use that term very loosely here) went as far as to go out of her way to show us some documentation on what her training demonstrates as a serving size. This was done with no care to the line of customers patiently waiting as we sought the information on why we felt we were getting under-portioned. From a business perspective if a customer is asking politely I might add about the sizes of portions and the manager or staff are ignoring the growing number of customers watching us how we are challenging their portion sizes, then what do you think the other customers are going to think? This is the largest gripe I have with Moe's and this particular location and the current staff members (Roadies). On top of the chicken debacle, the newly created and much coveted "Aahhvaaco" salsa has been watered down so much it is not even worth putting into a cup to use as salsa. On top of that when it is half way decent to be considered salsa we routinely had to ask that it be refilled as like the topping mentioned above is either one empty or I'm scraping the barrel trying to fill a few cups for the side of chips. We used to really enjoy filling out the surveys each time we went to Moe's to provide insight to the leadership team on how we perceived our food. Our experiences got the point of they were constantly negative. On one such a review we did receive feedback from what appears to be Moe's management in the form of an email. A Sean@welcome2moes.com and a Jay Daniel @woodbridge.moes@gmail.com sent a standard templated email apologizing about our recent experience. Of which I was happy to oblige by responding and setting up a call with these two gentlemen. Unfortunately, when I received the email I was away for a few days on business travel and replied accordingly. Once I returned a sent two additional follow up emails only to receive nothing in return from the two gentlemen as mentioned above. It was this lack of response or care for customers that was the pinnacle turning point that Moe's lost us as customers and how feel obliged to share my feedback to other consumers. There are other nitpicky things that I'm not going to bother posting here that are captured on other reviewer's sentiments however, the TLDR version is; quality is declining here rapidly and the unprofessionalism we have received lost us as customer. read more

Went all the way back ($4+ per gallon of gas) not only did they not comp the burrito but they tried to get us to pay for it again and it was cold. Very frustrating. read more

Going in there, I know I'm going to get pretty good food. The location I go to most commonly is in Bailey's Crossroads, which is always great. I decided to eat here because I working Prince William County for the third afternoon in a row, and I did not want Tropical Smoothie Cafe two days in a row even though I really like it. Z Pizza is also a great option in that shopping center, but I had pizza for dinner two days ago. This Moe's did not meet that standard of the one in Bailey's. When I walked in, they exclaimed 'Welcome to Moe's', which I always like until you get close to them, then it almost busted my eardrum. I don't always listen to people as it is; so a busted eardrum is the last thing I need. I decided to get a bowl. Anytime I had gone to a Moe's in the past, I always had gotten a burrito. But I kind of have gotten into the bowl routine at Chipotle, so I thought I would try their bowl. I did not get lettuce, sour cream, or guacamole as I only wanted to pay for a steak Joey Bag of Donuts for $7.19. When I got to the cash register, he charged me $7.99 +tax, and I told him that I didn't get those items and that it should be $7.19. He told me that you got an earmuff, and in a polite way, I said I don't know what you are talking about. I didn't like that he assumed I knew what he was talking about like it's a common term. When I think of an earmuff, I think of a winter accesory. He explained that bowls are more expensive; I assumed they were interchangeable like at Chipotle or Qdoba. I told him that I didn't know that; I would've gotten a burrito if I had known. He said that he would make it a burrito price, but gave me a stern warning that he would not do that again. The cashier experience gave me a bit of a bad taste in my mouth, and even the food didn't taste quite as good. Eat cheap and healthy! Suited to vegans and vegetarians, you can order the tofu burrito with guacamole and it is delicious. Order the veggie burrito also suited to vegans. Went in for a quick healthy-ish dinner this evening (6/26/19 @7:20pm) truly disappointing, female server behind the counter (of Hispanic descent) is not welcoming, unfriendly, rude, not one smile, not one "welcome to Moe's", she was obviously annoyed that I requested more fresh japs. The guy at the register (of Hispanic descent also) was very kind - it was his first day today. The rude lady spoke in Spanish to the other employees when I asked for for japs then passed my bowl to another guy who was friendly also. The table I sat at was dirty, I had to wipe it down, the dining area smells like dirty mop water, there are little gnats/flies everywhere! .. I will not visit this location again! read more

There are a few things that Moe's has going for them -Very friendly employees, they always welcome customers when they walk in -Frees chips and salsa -Discounted burritos Monday -They also seem to have a strong focus on the community Unfortunately all of this doesn't make their food taste any better. The rice is very dry, the steak is extremely bland, and the few times I have gotten chicken, it has been burned. Literally the only reason why I go there is if it is Monday, and there is nothing else to eat. On the upside, they recently got a pretty cool soda machine. Came here after a spinal injection because it's usually one of my favorite fast/casual places and I needed a quick cheer up/comfort food. The chicken was fresh and very good, but the rest of the toppings tasted very old and.. off. The famous queso I was given was not it's normal white color, it was a strange yellowish/orange and unusually thick. I thought maybe the recipe changed, but realized the queso my husband got from a different area of the station on his burrito was not the same consistency of mine. So gross and not at all up to par with any Moe's I've been to. I'll take the hike out to Chantilly instead. The past time I went to this location the food was also underwhelming entirely, but I gave it a second chance. Just don't go to this one in manassas! read more

Welcome to Moe's! I came to Moe's for lunch and can say I had a less than ok experience. The food seemed uninviting and mediocre at best. The customer service was good for the most part, but they seemed to have a hard time putting the order into the cash register. When we got the food it was bland and/or burnt. The whole restaurant looked like they needed a deep cleaning and improvement. The Coke Freestyle Machine seemed to be unresponsive and it made a long line at certain points. I can't really pick out a good thing about this restaurant except that when I came it there was plenty of parking spots around the restaurant and the line was minimal until I came in! If you can deal with bland and burnt food, then by all means walk right in! But if you want taste to your food you would be better off at a Chipotle, Qdoba, a CA Tortilla, or some other Moe's. read more

GROSS. I knew not to expect Chipotle going into it, but I really couldn't finish my burrito. I got the Homewrecker, in steak. It tasted funky to begin with, but it was made even worse by under cooked, crunchy rice. The cheese sauce everyone raves about? I didn't "get it". Lukewarm, chunks of unmelted cheese, and it was just okay. For what I paid for my husband and I, it was not even remotely worth it. We couldn't decide what to eat last night and one of the kids suggested Moe's since we hadn't been there in ages and no one wanted to drive and wait to Chipotle. We know it's not Chipotle, not even in the same league, but that doesn't mean the product shouldn't be fresh or the place clean. The rice was so dry it was crunchy, the chicken was crunchy. It had a good taste, but was burnt so badly it crunched when you ate it. The pinto bean container was disgusting. The beans looked like refried beans and no one changed it out until the lady in front of me made a comment about it. The serving area around the ingredients needed a good wipe down. The guac container was empty and there were big globs of it around it and looked disgusting. When they brought a new one, no one bothered to wipe anything off. The area between the register and beverage area had crunched up tortilla chips - not just a few, but many. The serve yourself salsa had drips and containers and looked terrible. We love Moe's and eat at other locations often, however this location seems to have some issues anticipating the need to prepare more of their principal ingredients before they have completely run out. The time before last I had gone in with a friend and they told us that they didn't have any chicken ready. We waited and went back through the line to order once it was ready. When we got home we realized that they had forgotten to put one of the burritos that we had ordered in the bag. I called and they said that in order to issue a refund we would need to come back in. Since we live 30+ minutes away, it would have been more trouble than it was worth to get a refund. Last time I placed an order online for my boyfriend to pick up. Sometime after the pickup time established in the confirmation email, my boyfriend calls to tell me that they had not started our order because they did not have any rice made, and that if we wanted rice we would have to wait an additional twenty minutes. I understand if they didn't want to make our order before we knew that they were out of rice, but my phone number and email are both provided in my online order profile so I'm not sure why we weren't notified until he came in to pick it up. We were told that they would compensate for the issue by providing extra queso and guacamole free as well as coupons for our next visit. They did give us coupons but never provided the extra queso or guacamole which wasn't a requirement for us, but it would have been nice if they had followed through on their offer to us. I used to really enjoy this location because the staff was entertaining and friendly. I'm not sure what has changed in the past year or so, but I don't think I'll be returning to this location anytime soon. read more

I like Moe's. I really do. The food is just as good, if not better, than Chipotle and the line is usually not an issue. This issue I have with this place is the cleanliness. The tables are normally dirty and I have to clean myself, which I don't really care if the place is busy. There are only so many on staff and people want their food. No problem. But, there is almost always at least one staff member hanging out doing nothing. The worst problem is when they actually do clean the tables, they "clean" with a dirty, sour rag that doesn't look, not smell, as if it has ever been cleaned. The rag leaves a horrible smell on the tables that resembles a back alley in the city after a wild night of too much drinking, puking, and random dark alley sex. None of this I want up my nose when I'm trying to kill off a burrito bowl. Clean the place up, Moe's. And, get some new cleaning supplies before you do. read more

Stopped by this afternoon to get some Moe's and the serving area was horrible. Containers not full, beans looked crusty and dry! I asked what happen and he said they've been busy. NO EXCUSE in my book because I go to Moe's in DC during lunch and that is BUSY, but things are always clean. Needless to say, I changed my mind today. This review deserves 2 parts: 1- the franchise concept: excellent food, great variety, freshness in the ingredients, and overall a healthy affordable option in the menu. The setting is comfortable, and the concept is fine. 2- local hiring and the interface with your customers in the Manassas location: HEAVILY LACKING. People working the counter unable to understand the order in English, unable to redeem points for same reason, and not keeping up with cleanliness of the store. I sent in an online order tonight. I realized it was cinco de Mayo so I expected a delay but it was ridiculous. When I arrived , there were at least 6 other people waiting for online orders. I tried to double check and see if my order was ready and the employee was quite rude to me. After waiting for 30 minutes , no one else had received their order so I finally left . As I said , I expected them to be busy, but they were clearly not prepared. People who were walking in and ordering there were getting their food without a wait. I'm going to list everything wrong about this establishment... 1) They had no tofu ready to order 2) Every member of the staff displayed remarkable resistance to the idea of making said tofu for customers who are vegetarian (myself and family) 3) Their tables and booths were not clean 4) The booths were all ripped up with black, electrical tape covering them - it was akin to an old truck with tape holding the seats together 5) There were bugs flying around the restaurant while we were eating 6) The service the staff provided, in general, was unhelpful and borderline rude I could give this Moe's one star, however I do feel as if they earned the second because they did not flat-down refuse to make the tofu - just made it apparent that they did not want to. If you are looking for a non-authentic, fast Mexican place to eat, you are better off just going to the Chipotle down the road. read more

We really enjoyed the taco salads here! Food was very fresh, staff very friendly and restroom was very clean! Cafe style selections and they basically let you pick from a great assortment of toppings to include grilled onions, green peppers and even mushrooms! How could you not live this! Fast in and out!
