Moe's Southwest Grill is low on my list of places to eat. But today was a day with grandkids, and they're pretty fussy. So they chose Moe's. Grandson # 1 said Moe's reminds him of his cafeteria lunch on Tuesday, which if you can guess is taco Tuesday. He was a pretty happy young man. Food as always tastes good, good portion for the Monday burrito bowl special for $7.99. I went around 5pm was barely anyone there so I was able to get in and out quickly for take out. Service was quick but staff seemed quiet and just getting through the shift. Restaurant was clean and tidy. Self service area for salsa area was a little messy and no limes, and low on extras. I will be back as I always enjoy my meal and I'm full afterwards. read more

I've been a fan of Moe's for years and IMO they beat similar Tex mex fast service chains in both taste and freshness. Back when I was a college student, I could really stretch my money by getting a taco and enjoying the bonus free chips. These days I mostly opt for a bowl or nachos but the food is just as fresh as ever. read more

I love Moe's VS the usual fast food taco joints. The ingredients simply sit nicer in my stomach and majority of time its delicious. My go to is the Homewrecker Jr with guac, chicken, rice, black beans, pico, cheese, lettuce and sour cream. My only gripe can be the chicken. 1/5 visits it can be a little on the chewy, overcooked or flat out cold side. But other than that its always a perfect burrito. Queso is a 100% must. And the self serve fountain pop machine has more varieties than you can count. I love using the app for pickup orders and rewards. Employees work fast. The "Welcome to Moes!" tend to be a little on the sarcastic side. I'd prefer if they didn't do that every time a human being walks near the front door. read more

I've been to this location multiple times and it seems like I'm always left wondering why I bothered. They finally started offering grilled/sauteed tofu instead of the fresh-off-the-block stuff they used to serve. Though there is still no seasoning on it which is disappointing. Tofu deserves seasoning!! The last time we stopped in they ran out of chicken and the 15+ people waiting in line behind my boyfriend weren't too happy about it. We waited an additional 10-15 minutes for them to grill up some more chicken so they could make his burrito. Time to enter this location and time we paid for our food was 30 minutes which is completely unacceptable. I feel like you get MORE food in a rice bowl here vs competitors, and more toppings choices. However, the flavour of the food is really lacking. They do offer a few dressings to put on top, but no one can ever clearly tell me what is dairy-free so I have to abstain. read more

Welcome to Moe's! Food was tasty, prices were fair and free chips and salsa made fresh! Its as good as it gets when you think of mexican themed food that's been americanized and chained out all across the country. Similar but not quite as good as Chipotle, but there are loads of options. The atmosphere is cozy and the lighting is dim making the booths super comfortable. We got nachos and a burrito with double meat. The double meat here is key and without it you may find your order lacking greatly. The queso is awesome and they have a self serve pop machine that offers 100+ flavors! Pretty sweet. A cool spot to grab a bite. read more

Named after Moe from The Simpsons, Slow Moe Replays, Kelly Clarkson's "Moe Meant Like This" (the song where she teaches a girl to kiss the way Moe prefers), and of course Moe Salah, Moe Salah, Moe Salah, running down the wing, Salah, ah, ah, ah, ahh, Egyptian King. I can't imagine a much worse southwestern style restaurant than Moe's. It doesn't do it for us but your mother does. Honestly this one down in Orchard Park is no worse than the one up on Niagara Falls Boulevard. The food is just a really low standard. It's sort of like paying twice as much for Chipotle which in itself is some of the worst food you can get. Our 2 servers were wonderfully nice though and my dining partner actually likes their food and she has been many times before - so I can't give them a one-star but there's no way I'm giving them more than two. She did admit that Valle Of Mexico was better, but she's never been to any of the other Mexican in Buffalo and won't let me take her (not Southtowns enough for her, I think, she doesn't believe in driving more than 10 mins for food), so now she's back into Moe's again. Was really missing my guilty pleasure - their molten lava white queso. When I stopped by, I noticed they had every other table open to make sure guests were properly distanced. There was hand sanitizer in several spots, the salsa was conveniently prepackaged, and they had little dots on the floor to remind people to maintain 6 foot distancing. That doesn't seem to make a lot of sense. When I spoke to the manager they just told me that there's too many complaints about their online system so they're prioritizing online orders. THIS PLACE WAS DIRTY: Stopped in today just b4 12p after they opened at 10:30a. How long has it been since regular housekeeping has been done?. The many carpet runners needed to be vacuumed. The tile floors needed swept of debris and crumbs. The back of the iPad at the POS check out was spotted and greasy as was the nearby scanning guy. The black metal trim on the doors by the handles was marked up and down with greasy handprints. The food was ok. Have not been to the Moe's on Southwestern Blvd. in a few months, last time same issues. This time 6/23/18, time: 2pm. Same issues as last t BUT way worse. Needs to be deep clean, floor sweep, garage emptied, tables cleaned etc. Very messy, windows need to be clean. I would not visit this OR any location until they take some pride in their restaurants. The food was ok, but with the none cleanliness of the place... How safe was the food? Didn't finish food because of the restaurant. Of all the fast food Mexican-style chains, Mo' is pretty great. Their queso is what keeps me coming back. If you have their app, you can get a free burrito on your birthday! That's the last time I stopped in there - for my birthday burrito. My app was't working right right, but the manager still gave me my burrito for free, which I was very thankful for (I didn't have back-up dinner plans!) I love their chips, and the food is always filling. I like being able to see all my toppings and condiments, and watch them build my burrito or bowl right in front of me. They have those super fancy soda dispensers with over a thousand different flavor options, which is great. I get my diet coke with ginger lime flavoring when I am there- and I love that I have that as an option. It could be a little brighter in there, and a touch cleaner, but overall it's a good location. read more

I typically try to stay away from chain restaurants for dinner but lunch is free game. Moe's has been a typical lunch option for me. I used to always get the veggie quesadilla, then I started eating the burritos (THEY ARE HUGE!), and lately I've been getting the bowls. There are so many different options you can get on your meal - Significantly more than chipotle (My favorite are the sauteed mushrooms and the jalapenos!) I feel like the food is okay... but the real seller, yes, the thing that keeps bringing me back is the fresh chips, queso and Kaiser salsa. Because of my love for this, my husband and I can go here pretty cheap because all of the entrees come with free chips. The salsa is free too...so he can get his burrito and I can get my queso and we just fed both of us for $12. As far as it being authentic Mexican, it's not. It's American Fast food Mexican. So don't expect those intense Mexican flavors. Just expect some rice, beans and meat with a few veggies. I'm glad to have Moe's as a quick lunch option. (P.S. I love Moe's and come here quite often when I kickbox. The food is always delicious. However, every single time I come here the garbage is over flowing to the point where I cannot even put garbage in the receptacle and trays/baskets are stacked like Jenga blocks. I agree with the Dan H. review. The place is messy and unorganized. It's like an assembly line from order to pickup. The food is not so good. The hard shell tacos were broken and a dripping mess. Can't even pick it up, need a fork to eat it. Not very economical either. My wife and I "ate" for around $26. 4 tacos, 1 small chili and 2 Coronas. Could have had a lot more food and better quality without the beers at Mighty Taco down the street. Couldn't understand why it was so busy. People just kept coming in. We don't get it ! Moe's used to be a real treat to me until Chipotle totally replaced it in my life. I stopped in at this Moe's only because I was unfamiliar with this area and starving. I had not realized how terrible the food was because it has been years since I ate this food. It was really loud inside. The staff helped me right away and the service was quick but the teenagers working somehow fit their interactions with me in between interactions with each other. It was pretty obnoxious. I wasn't treated poorly but the service I received was disingenuous and clearly they were in a hurry to go back to goofing off. Last time I was in a Moe's, they did not offer a burrito bowl. I was happy to see this on the menu as I don't want the shell anyway, just the stuff inside. The rice was dry and crunchy which basically ruined the whole thing. The pork was tender but I don't think there was very much in it. Next time, I probably won't pass up a Wendy's or McDonald's to eat here. read more

My friend told me that Moe's is better than Chipotle. I told them no way, that can't be. So he took me this location for Moes. I first get in and the place looks ok. I look over the menu and it seems to offer similar things like Chipotle. I asked my friend who prefers Moes over Chipotle, and asked what do they have thats the same as the Burrito Bowl. He told me it was called the Earmuffs. I'm going to echo what others have said about this location. This location seems to be dirty and the people behind the counter could not care less about the quality of food that is being served. I look at the food in the heaters and most of the don't look appealing but I just go with it. The person who was putting together my order could careless about working there or wanted to give good customer service. I finally get my food and it looks half way decent. Everything looked ok but when I finally start digging into it, A lot of things were over cooked and over seasoned and very salty for my taste. The only saving grace of this place was the soda machine where you can pick and add different flavor syrups to my diet soda. Over all, I probably won't be coming back to Moes location until the customer service and the food quality goes up. read more

It's like subway for burritos. You get to pick EXACTLY what you want in your burrito/taco/fajita/salad/quesadilla/nachos. Their tofu is actually delicious and I get it every time (no, I am not a vegetarian, but it's really good and healthy). The chips are fresh and warm and delicious, and their queso sauce is perfect for dipping chips and burritos. Hard rock hot sauce has a delicious lime/cilantro flavor to it and is actually spicy, unlike most "hot" sauces. Sure, the place is small and sometimes during the busy lunch/dinner rush it gets packed and leaves you waiting for a table to open up, but I never have to wait terribly long. Plus you can get it to go and it tastes just as good anywhere else as it does in the restaurant. read more

I initially visited shortly after their opening. HATED it! Why must I go thru a line and specify what I want/need for my taco/burrito wrap. Give me pre fab! After many night of abject bitc*ing when hubby would bring home a "Joey Bag O Donuts" and an "Art Vandelay" , I came to appreciate what this place has to offer. Really good, quick food options that do not include deep fried or fat laden (unless you ask) options. The Art Vandelay is a veg burrito. I am not a fan of sour cream so it comes with really cool choices that I get to pick! Beans, corn, tomatoes, avocado, you get it. Fresh stuff and the choice of whole wheat or white tortilla. It's not "fine dining" by any stretch. It is good! The margarita's, in my book, don't have enough alcohol, but that is another story. read more

Seems like every time i go into this place i'm a bother. This place is always busy at dinner time but even then, they still treat you like crap. Every time i go i order a chicken stack with just cheese and queso. Rarely do i ever get a full scoop of chicken and a handful of cheese. I just went there for dinner tonight and there was so many problems. Every time i get chicken, i have to ask and PAY for extra chicken because they never give enough. Then i go to get my cheese and she gives me A PINCH A LITERAL PINCH of cheese on the top of the tortilla. Then, i checked out and got my drink and headed to my table to check everything before i left and this happened. I look in my chip bag and they just THREW my stack on top of the chips. It wasn't wrapped and didn't have a plastic container. I walked up and said "she just threw this in the bag, is this how this is suppose to be? it's not even wrapped" the girl proceeds to roll her eyes at me and throw a plastic container at me. The customer service is just not it. This happens EVERY TIME i go to this location. I have never had any of these issues at any other location. They really need to get their act together before someone ends up doing something stupid because they are so rude.
