Great customer service here and the food was very good. I ordered the lilikoi pancake with coffee. (just thinking about it makes me want it now lol) I also ordered the fritata however it wasn't my favorite. I liked how all the condiments are all on the table already there for you if you need it you don't need to ask and wait for it. Their bathroom is nice and clean. Parking is .75 cent every hour. If I lived here I would probably have breakfast here at least once a week. Tiny place is always busy and service may be a little slow as a result. Be patient. The food is really good and we leave stuffed--usually can skip lunch as a result. I very highly recommend Loco Loco and the Liliquoi pancakes. We have already eaten there twice during our stay. Went this morning (February 1st) for great meal to start the day off right. Only found this place off of Yelp, it's almost a "hidden" secret of Kaimuki, tucked away on the upper portion next to Subway and the old Pillbox Pharmacy. We got there around 9, but tables were full, but super helpful with check in, and letting us know when our table will be ready. Super chill, more hipster type staff, but really sweet and caring people so big kudos to them. We ordered the Lilikoi Pancakes, Corned Beef Hash, and then one side portion of fried rice. All three were amazing. Super big portions (even for the side fried rice) and everything was delicious. As a side note, if you are gonna get the pancakes, I'd recommend sharing with someone.. but that's totally up to you! I would also recommend getting a side egg, or side rice, or something to offset the sweetness. Maybe that's just my preference... I guess I've always been the type to like something sweet and then something savory with it. Definitely make this a place to stop by for a nice, simple, breakfast. This place was amazing! Would 100% recommend the lilikoi pancakes, they were immaculate and melted in my mouth. There was a wait of about 20-30 minutes at 8:30 am on a Saturday, but it went by pretty fast and we didn't mind waiting. Staff is super attentive and friendly. Amazing and attentive service from the staff. We went on a weekend and were nervous there would be a long wait for brunch. Signed in on the waiting list and waited about 20 mins for a party of 4. The lilikoi pancakes were the best item that we tried. My family is vegetarian so for the main entrees, we had the French toast, vegetarian omelet and vegetarian frittata. The French toast was alright, kind of doughy. There was plenty of food with each entree and we were full! We didn't have a chance to finish the lilikoi pancakes and decided to take them back to the hotel. The server gave us 2 containers of the lilikoi sauce and we even took home the sauce that came with the pancakes...that stuff is to die for, haha. Highly recommend this spot for brunch! read more

We wanted to support local businesses while we were in town and stumble across this business on Yelp. It seemed to be highly rated and we were eager to try it out. On a random Wednesday morning, we still had to wait over an hour in order to be seated because it is a smaller establishment. I can only imagine the wait time for the weekend. Went for a 3 mile morning walk at Kapiolani Park. The morning was still young so breakfast popped into my mind. I've eaten at Moke's in Kailua and it was delicious so I figured the Moke's in Kaimuki would be just as good and it was. We ordered the Lilikoi Pancakes and the 2 eggs, hash browns, bacon and toast meal. All were so delicious and we feasted. Forgot to take pictures though but well worth the stop. read more

This place has great service, and everything I had was good. But it's the French toast that really shines. It is easily the best French toast I've ever had. The $1.50 to add bananas is well worth it! I got the full portion, but I think the half portion would have been plenty because each slice is about an inch thick. If I lived on the island, I would be here at least once a week. read more

Moke's in Kailua is one of my top three favorite breakfast places EVER, so I was more than eager to try their Kaimuki spot. My son and I stopped by on a Sunday morning. We had a light snack so we were prepared for a wait, however, upon signing up for the wait list, the server told us it would only be about twenty minutes. We ended up waiting 45-50 minutes! After checking in after our original wait time passed, we were told, "It won't be long!" at different intervals, which kept me from jumping ship and heading somewhere else. When we were seated, our service was prompt and quite friendly. The food came out in about ten minutes or so, which was a huge relief. I will say that the portion sizes seem much smaller than the Kailua location. I rarely deviate from the Veggie Stuffed Hashbrowns (with an egg on top, per the owner's suggestion!) and when my food arrived, it definitely didn't take up the plate like it does at the original restaurant. Same prices though! Given that the food came out so quickly, I'm guessing the long wait was due to underestimating dining times. I'd say that 10-15 minutes off isn't too bad but more than twice the given waiting time does make you feel extra hungry. I will definitely stick to the Kailua location and recommend the original restaurant to all I know. I'd like to come back to the Kaimuki for another try, but on a different, less busy day. I'm not in a rush though. read more

I really enjoyed it here. This review is late, but I found this while getting blood done. If you don't know where it is it's above the pillbox but to the left in Kaimuki. You can park in that huge lot that has big city and kimchee (can't remember which number). We went a little after 12 and closer to 1 so it wasn't super busy. I've been there at 10 and it's crowded. The bathroom is in the back pass the counter. I had the loco moco and the pancakes. Sooooo yummy! The coffee was great and even the decaf was really good. Service is great with the servers being super nice. We had the girl who use to work at pint and jigger. First off, the portions and the food here is amazing. This was literally one of our last spots we visited before we left for the airport and I was pretty happy at the time with the service and food. However, upon looking at my credit card statement, they decided to change the tip amount I put in. I thought I was tipping well with tipping over 25% but they decided it wasn't enough and went to tip themselves ~30%. I hope folks will enjoy their food but here's a fair warning to future travelers, check your credit card statement to make sure they didn't decide to help themselves to some more tip than you gave them. read more

Not too shabby for breakfast, we ordered the hash browns, Auntie Harriett's French Toast & Big Kat Moco. The hash browns were real potatoes and came out crispy. French Toast was battered and seasoned well with the syrup we both enjoyed. I'm not a Moco fan, but this was delicious. Has several types of meat and the gravy complimented very well. Such a great breakfast spot but you will need a car if you are staying in downtown Waikiki. We had the breakfast plate, loco mokes (their spin on loco moco), lilikoi pancakes and French toast. The lilikoi pancakes were awesome! I wish I could get the sauce back at home! The loco mokes was good, but the steak was cooked well done. So disappointing! Really great food! The menu is diverse and a lot of great foods to pick from! I always go back before heading to college! The staff are really sweet and the service is pretty good. The only downside is actually getting the table. They do not do reservations and although they have a list you can put your name on, they don't really follow it. Dis place was ono!! Practicing covid distancing, clean environment & staff was on it.

So, first and foremost the wait time to get in was ridiculous. Second the wait time to be served was ridiculous. And thirdly, the wait time for our food was ridiculous. We waited over 45 minutes to be seated, over 20 minutes to get our drinks and be served and another 40 minutes to get our food. We didn't even get our food and we are ready to leave. Not once did the server come check on us or even let us know any updates. One big thing that really made this experience bad was that there was ants on the wall and we were bothered by flies and mosquitos the whole time we were eating. They didn't even wash the can of soda that we asked for and she gave it to us covered with black things by the mouth part. We came here for the first time and with the reviews we thought our time here would be worth it but it doesn't seem like it. Don't think we'll be coming here again. read more
