Went recently after a trip to RMNP. The waitress was very nice, but the owner seemed a bit overbearing on her (and us). Draft beer was expensive, and so was most of the food. I assumed my veggie melt would be some sort of sandwich. It was just fried vegetables doused in melted cheese, which wasn't exactly the meal I was looking for. The live musician seemed talented, but was playing too loudly, even for outside. I don't think I'd be terribly inclined to visit the Molly B again. read more

Worst food and service ever. Our waiter was Shane, who only saw us 4 times (1. to take our order, 2. to give us our food, 3. to give us our check, and 4. because the hostess caught his attention after I couldn't for 10 minutes). I couldn't find our waiter and was wondering why it was taking 40 minutes for our food to arrive. The hostess caught my eye and went to look for him. When she informed him about me, Shane pointed at us and said "that girl?" from across the room. Most of the time he was busy talking to the other waiters instead of checking up on his tables. He explained that our food wasn't ready and will be up when it will be up. We ordered french toast, scramble eggs and breakfast potatoes. Scramble egg is basic 101 food, but they happen to over cook the eggs where it has a brown tinged to it. It was the weirdest eggs you would ever eat. Thought we would try their lunch today...we ordered the most popular items we thought were hard to ruin..man were we wrong. First off they say they sell Coca-Cola products...the coke is some knock off..after about 15 minutes we finally got our drinks..then waited a good amount of time for them to take our order. The Cesar salad with chicken was HORRIBLE..the Salad was waxy and hot.The chicken tasted like chewy rubber and there was absolutely NO flavor on the dressing or chicken..needless to say I ate about 4 bites and was ill..not to mention it's my birthday..then my boyfriend got a burger..it was overcooked as well. Compared to my experiences at other local restaurants in small touristy towns, the food and service at this restaurant was pretty bad. Our waitress would not come around often and gave us attitude when we flagged her for coffee, silverware, and our order. We dropped in here after driving through Rocky Mountain National Park to grab a late lunch despite the bad reviews. We decided to sit on the patio once we arrived because we could seriously smell musty air pouring out of the building. Our server was not very friendly. She was an older woman and didn't seem to care much about customer service. While waiting for our food we also watched a different waitress stand in a 2 foot tall flower box that separated both sides of the patio to clear a table rather than walking around to the other side. Then, a totally different waitress walked away from a different table rolling her eyes in disgust at a customer. That same waitress later went back to serve that table whilst talking on the phone. The customer service needs huge improvement. I've never seen such a thing. Now onto the food. I had the BLT and my husband had the Elk Burger. Both were good. No complaints there. When we paid, i gave our waitress our credit card and ten minutes later the owner came out with an iPhone that i had to put in my card information, zip code, tip and sign which took at least 5+ minutes to do. If we were to come back to Estes Park, we would not eat here again unfortunately. read more

This is a place that makes me firmly believe that yelp should allow us to issue zero stars. We dropped in here after hiking through the RMNP to grab a quick sandwich before the long drive home. Other than the three in our party, there was a single two top being served in the restaurant. The host seated us at a booth near the window, which was covered in food debris. After a closer look, we were wondering whether the table was textured or covered in a sticky film from cleaning the table with a dirty cloth. Our belief is the later. As I looked to my right, the window had an unappealing tomato seed stuck to the window, along with some other sticky substances. The server came to our table, providing a friendly smile and was happy to serve us, but did not offer to clean our table. We ordered beverages, which were quickly served. Based upon the presentation of the restaurant, we were ready to just leave before we received our drinks. To be polite, we decided to stay and order a round of ice cream for the table. The server brought our scoops of ice cream in cute little silver bowls, and placed our spoons on the filthy table. We reluctantly dug into the ice cream and as I took my first bite, I realized that there was a crusty substance, resembling a booger, which was more likely a bit of ice cream that had somehow made it through the wash. Needless to say, we paid our bill and quickly scurried out of the restaurant. We will most definitely not be back. read more

best food I've ever had in Estes park. I've been to Estes MANY TIMES! Too many to count. And have eaten almost everywhere. We went her on Saturday after a hike up to Gem Lake. We sat on the patio...and Tanya was our waitress...She was so very nice, and the food was the best. About the only place I've been with food as good or better was Twin Owls Steakhouse...and their is no way to compare the two. Two completely different types of restaurants. We liked our lunch so much we went back the next AM for breakfast...we had my baby Newfoundland with us, and since it was slow on the patio..they let her come sit by us as we had our bfast! big bowl of water for her and everything. Our breakfast was as good as our lunch was the day before...my BF and I have decided that this will be a regular stop for us from now on! read more

We should have checked Yelp first. Like a previous review mentioned, an empty restaurant at dinner time when the streets are full of people should be a red flag. Red flag number 2: standing at the host station for a couple minutes without seeing any staff. Number 3: handed a sticky broken high chair for our infant. (Upon realizing it was broken, our server immediately replaced it.) We still decided to eat here. Prices were reasonable, and we're really not picky. My husband and I both ordered the "special" steak & shrimp. The 3 shrimp that came with it were a little overdone but flavorful, and all the sides were fine. The steaks were the worst we've ever had in a restaurant. Not overcooked, yet extremely tough. Supposedly NY strips, I suspect they might have been on "special" to move some low quality meat. The atmosphere, if that's something you're looking for, felt like the before footage of one of those restaurant makeover shows: kinda mismatched, outdated, and a little unclean. Our server was good. He was courteous, professional, and friendly. No complaints there. However, there was a female server cleaning and doing prep work around our dining area who was singing along to the music playing in the dining room. It was a smallish room with only two tables occupied... It was weird. I know all the words to "Don't Stop Believin," too, but I don't sing along like I'm auditioning for American Idol while I'm at work. Fair. Much better food and other places. It is the off season and maybe they should take the time to give the place a refresh. Note that the bathrooms are down a steep narrow staircase. Not sure about accessible bathrooms. The chili was served warm but not hot. It tasted pretty good, but not something I'd go back for. Salads were better, seemed pretty fresh at least! This place is a throw back. If you decide to walk in back out! After long day of hiking stopped in for lunch. Wife ordered a caramelized walnut salad and I ordered club sandwich. Salad had no walnuts, green apples etc. my sandwich reminded me of third grade cafeteria fare. Loud playtime and cussing in kitchen and waitress had no answer why salad was not even close to what was described on menu. But did offer free drinks. We were looking for a place to eat where we could bring our dog and landed on Molly B. The service was attentive and they brought our dog a big bowl of ice water. However, the food was not great. I ordered the Molly burger which was a burger with bacon, egg and mushrooms. The egg wasn't runny and there was no mushroom. Also at those prices I expect not to be serviced frozen fries. I checked out this place for lunch since they have more vegetarian options on their lunch menu than the dinner menu. Our waitress was extremely friendly and sweet, and took initiative to double check that what we ordered didn't have any meat or dairy in the dishes. The apple cider is really yummy, especially in this cold weather. The veggie stir fry and the veggie burger were both very tasty. We were still a little hungry so we ordered a guacamole and chips. It tasted extremely fresh and I think they made it for us to order. This place is great to accommodate a variety of parties, large and small. It has a nice local feel- great lunch place. read more

Went out around 6:00 on a Friday with 4 adults and 4 5-year olds. Every restaurant in town was at least an hour wait. Found Molly B's which was able to seat us outside right away. Service was amazing. Prompt and attentive. We all got burgers which were some of the best we've ever had. My margarita was so good, I had to get a second. One of my super picky daughters ate a cheese burger for the first time and loved it. My other daughter had two grilled cheeses. It's usually a battle to get her to eat. We were all talking about how good the food and service were the whole night. So happy we stumbled upon Molly B's! read more

Went here last week with a group of friends, and we were all very disappointed. I ordered a waffle, and even though the menu stated I could get strawberries on it, the server said they were out. I got blueberries instead. When it came out, my waffle was cold and only 12 blueberries were on it. The coffee was more like flavored water, and my "hot" tea was room temperature. At one point I looked over to the counter with food the server was supposed to pick up and saw the cook messing around and rearranging it with his bare hands. Not sanitary at all. Found this gem of a restaurant while walking around Estes. We checked the reviews and were skeptical at first, while the interior could use a facelift, the food and service make up for it in every way. We had brought our dog with us and they were more than welcoming with him, they brought him some ice water in a bowl and even a few doggy treats, so at the least they're dog friendly ;) The food was amazing, I personally can't eat a burger without getting a stomach ache but when I dug into "The Piggy" (a burger topped with pulled pork, and apple slice and cheese), I felt no such pain. The fries and shake were exceptional as well with the fries crispy and the milkshake left me with a homemade soda fountain feel. read more

Been to many Estes Park restaurants, decided to try a different one today in Molly B's. Bad decision. Asked for burger to be medium-well/no pink, the bacon to be crispy and asked if cheese could be pepper jack instead of Swiss. No problem, of course, absolutely were the answers to my 3 requests. Burger was very undercooked. Bacon equally wiggly. I think it was Swiss, def not pepper jack, hard to tell. Rarely write reviews. Had to install yelp to do this. Maybe the huge batch of ants outside in the patio area where we were pushed me to make an entry. Would have given 1/2 star but not sure how to do that. read more

When we pulled into town and saw Molly B's, we decided to give it a shot. We were greeted and seated on the patio immediately. Our server was super accommodating and very attentive to all our needs! My husband had the ribs & raved about how good they were, along with the potatoes and coleslaw. I had a bison burger and it was cooked perfectly! There is a smell inside the building that is dirty gross grease traps and bad ac or a leak in the roof growing mold or something. We ordered a basic breakfast. Disgusting. The hash browns are Ore-Ida frozen potatoes. The butter on the English muffin was rancid. The meat (supposedly steak) was like shoe leather. Bitter coffee. This was one step short of cafeteria food. We came on a Wednesday late morning looking for breakfast and s couple of Bloody Marys but were denied both. It was too late for breakfast but they didn't have any tomato juice or Bloody Mary mix. The service was lacking as well as we weren't told until after 20 minutes that they couldn't make our drinks. Our server hardly understood English and our needs. Our salad was missing the blue cheese (and who puts caramel on a salad?) and dressing. I ordered the tempura green beans and they were ok but bland. Needed a kick so I asked for hot sauce. Our server said they didn't have it but another server heard this and brought some over. The coffee was gross too. I'm told that this place used to be an Estes hot spot but no more. It's gross. read more
