Sat in the back in a booth (favorite seating arrangement) and loved the recommendations from the server from top to bottom- amazing full bodied red wine, octopus, and chicken breast with orzo. We were a party of four this past weekend. Our friends had been at the owner's breakfast restaurant next door and were eager to try Molos. Our server took a while to take our take our drink order, but sook even longer to take our food order. Appetizers were quite good when they finally arrived. Entrees ordered: 3 fish and one octopus. The 3 fish orders were delivered, but we were told the octopus would "be right up." (This was said several times). At least 30 minutes before the octopus arrived! We were finished with our fish when the octopus arrived for our friend. Decent food, mediocre service and a very slow kitchen for a relatively large restaurant. read more

Ate there this month: The Spanakopita was OK but needed more feta cheese; the gyros sandwich was delicious - however I do not want my sandwich and fries served on a wooden board that looked very used. Is it sterilized? The service was OK but the busing was too noisy - they shouldn't throw the dishes - it makes too much noise and it is closeby. The prices are great and I will eat there again without the wooden boards - ask for a dinner plate. The decor is fine and the seating comfortable. Had an amazing dinner at Molos last night! From the moment we walked in the ambience was bright, quaint, and welcoming, and we could not believe how great the food smelled. The saganaki was a VERY generous portion and delicious, the avgolemono soup was perfection, as was the Greek salad. By the time it was time to order my entrée, I could only manage the Gyro appetizer (also very generous, I had plenty of leftovers), and the traditional Gyro is also fantastic. Probably the best tzatziki I've ever tasted. Next time I think I will try the Greek roasted chicken because someone nearby me had it and it smelled and looked unbelievable. Not to mention the Roditys wine... had plenty of that and it was good stuff! Can't wait to go back! read more

Have been to Molos several times and the food and service is always excellent. The Saganaki appetizer is large enough for four people to share. The calamari is best that I have ever had. It is lightly breaded and cooked to perfection. Every entree that we have tried, is presented well and delicious. Forget Greek Islands and come here for better food and better service. read more

I made a reservation for a party of 7. To start, the food was good, serving sizes adequate, and presentation very nice. The one complaint I had was the very few pieces of pita bread you received with your dip trio (maybe 6 triangles) and then charged $2 for another 4-5 triangles. However, the reason I gave the location only 4 starts was due to the ambiance. The room we were in became so loud that I was unable to hear the people at my table and sometimes even the person sitting next to me. It didn't seem that the other diners were louder than normal, but it felt there was not enough to absorb the sound. At one point, I reached a limit of sound overload and just stopped eating, listening, and socializing. The second issue was the size of the table vs. the size of the plates. They could barely fit all our plates or boards on the table. Also, the boards made it messier than needed. read more

We lucked into Molos on a Sunday evening and had a wonderful dinner. Everyone who greeted and/or spoke to us was friendly and sincere, and our waiter was genuine, helpful, and attentive. The menu is surprisingly diverse and our meals were superb. The Chicken ala Feta is truly a standout, with presentation is exceeded only by the aroma and flavor. Delicious. First time diner. Ordered take out. As I checked my receipt while waiting for my order, I noticed they charged me more for each of the 4 items. I mentioned it to the hostess who took my order over the phone and the owner, who was sitting nearby interrupted and stated that the on-line menu is two years out of date. Once my order arrived, I told the owner my order should have been $6 less and before I could finishing asking the $6 refund, she interrupted me to restate that the on-line menu was old and then she pointed to a statement at the bottom of one of her paper menus that stated, "...prices subject to change". I just could not understand why the owner would acknowledge she was aware that her published prices on her website that I just used to place my order are less... AND she would not attempt to make it right. BTW, the dolmades were very small and tasted meh. The grilled chicken with Feta cheese was good but, the baked chicken was dry and flavor-less. The rice pilaf was way overcooked. And, the owner was a disappointment. read more

My wife and I came here one night for a date night because we heard the food was good. They DID NOT!!! Disappoint the food here was some of the best food I have had in quite a while. I was blown away. The service was out of this world. I ordered an old fashion and it takes a while for me to drink my cocktail. They waiter came over once and asked if I was enjoying my cocktail. I said yes. He came around again and asked again. I then asked if everything was ok. Because I was enjoying my drink I just don't drink fast. He replied "yes but the owner wanted me to ask again since you haven't touched it. Because if you don't like it they will get you something else. I turned and there was the owner she waived. Started off with the grilled octopus the best I've ever had. The misses had the pan fried halibut in a tomato ouzo sauce again wow. We were so disappointed in our experience at Molos. We were greeted in a very unfriendly manner by the hostess and seated at a very small table. The restaurant was rather empty and there were many tables for four that remained empty during our stay. It took quite a while for a server to greet us although she was very nice and helpful. We ordered an appetizer, soup and filet. Unfortunately all three came out at the same time and our table was too small to accommodate all the plates. The grilled octopus was excellent but the rest of the meal was mediocre. I was hoping this little neighborhood taverna would provide a better experience with an ambience of Santorini. This is our second visit to Molos, and we've had excellent experiences every time. The food is fresh, authentic and easily reminds me of our trip to Greece. The cocktail/drinks menu is good & appropriately unique. Tonight's appetizers - traditional saganaki, and also grilled octopus, were hits. My entrée - Chilean sea bass with a sauce of barrel-aged feta and tomatoes, was so good my husband teased me about how nothing was left on the plate. His Greek-style pasta with lobster was equally outstanding. Shout-out to Sam, our server both times! Sam has made us feel like regulars, even though we've just been twice. My husband and I had reservations for Saturday evening. We were seated at a table for 2 near several groups. Our disinterested server took our order, and we received two water glasses and a bottle of water, then nothing until our saganaki (flaming cheese) appetizer was brought to our table. It looked and smelled delicious, but there was a problem. We had no plates, utensils or bread to eat with the appetizer. We told the server (not our original waitress), and he said he'd be back. Instead he brought out food to another table, and it wasn't for another 5 minutes or so that our original server appeared with the wine that should have been served when the appetizer was delivered. By that time, the saganaki was cold. I want to note that the group tables near us which arrived after us were served promptly. At this point we opted to leave. No apologies were offered by the staff. We have had a satisfactory experience at Molos before and at the Hen House, their other restaurant, but we will not be returning. Service is abysmal. read more

Tired from long drive home from work decided to call to place an order for take out- simple large Greek salad with chicken-asked credit or cash-indicated credit then asked for my credit card number, I explained I was driving and could not provide it while driving. Ok then will be 20 minutes. They called me back 8 minutes later and said they could not take my order but I could come in and place my order and wait. I declined. My first time visiting Molos and it was a great experience. The service was great. My dinner came out much later than everyone I was dining with but the place was packed! Plus they could've been short of staff, everyone was working their tails off and dedicated to providing the best service. Let's talk about the food! My #1 pick is the Greek chicken lemon soup. OMG! Its not like thick soup you would expect. Its creamy and the viscosity is thinner (which I like) but the taste. AMAZING! The saganaki was also very good with a HUGE portion. I had chicken souvlaki which was cooked to perfection with the night amount of seasoning. I was so fully after eating appetizers I couldn't each much. The Greek potatoes were cooked to perfection.
