Second trip here and so disappointed. Horrible service. Walked into rude staff who told us the wait would be over 45 minutes or "very very long" when we saw open tables. 10 min later when we didn't leave, we were seated. We then waited over an hour for food. The steak fajitas were terribly overcooked, shrimp fajitas were overcooked and arrived with raw vegetables. The bean side dishes were also ice cold when they arrived. This was so terrible and ruined what was supposed to be a nice birthday celebration. Will not be back. read more

My husband and I loved the food and atmosphere here. We sat outside overlooking the water and shared the trio fajitas with a margarita. Man was it delish! We had 2 fajitas each and still had enough left overs for dinner tonight. The service was excellent as well. My first impression of this restaurant was that the hostess had no idea what she was doing. There were a lot of people waiting for tables and a lot of empty tables, but she just kept running around confused and telling people all different things. We finally got to try it and it was disappointing. Our margarita tasted like sour mix on the rocks with no tequila. We ordered guacamole because it said table side. We were given the blandest guac I have tasted and it was not made table side. I ordered beef enchiladas and while they tasted like beef they had no seasoning. Scratching my head as to how this place is so crowded every night. Go to Las Brisas instead. Better food and lower prices. read more

Ordered take out for the first time. We got 2 veggie fajitas and sopapeas for desert. Order was supposed to be ready at 6:00 and we were waiting there until 6:45. They didn't give us any tortillas, black beans, guacamole, pico, mushrooms, or spinach. Basically all we got was a box with onions and green peppers. They gave us a side or rice which wasn't even part of our order. Overall awful experience. Wouldn't order takeout again. read more

Went here for the 2nd and last time tonight. Service very bad wait 15 minutes to take drink order then another 10 minutes to get it. They were not busy there were open tables throughout the restaurant. Anyway ordered Snapper with onions peppers and rice my date picked Tequila Shrimp in Garlic sauce it said on the menu it came with rice, grilled vegetables, and a salad. After another 30 minutes the food came my fish was over cooked with little to no seasoning rice bland and grilled veggies were carrots and broccoli. Had to use the knife to cut the fish filet UGH! My dates dinner much the same shrinp cooked but no sauce rice bland and same veggies. Asked about the salad as it never came and server said "Oh no you don't get a salad" ! Now there is a banner out front saying they were voted "Best Mexican Restaurant 2020 in Cape Coral" I have eaten in all the Mexican restaurants in Cape and they are right up there with the worst food and service. Now I'm not a taco guy so if that's what you eat then it may be better but the service will still be bad. My advice anyplace but here. read more

Three years ago we loved this place. Went there several times over our vacation. We were there tonight and had salsa that tasted like stewed tomatoes. For a Mexican restaurant, the salsa was awful. My food came out cold. The table side made guacamole was the only good thing. Drinks took 25 minutes. Service was terrible. The poor waiter was running like crazy but couldn't keep up. read more

For my first time experience eating here I loved it. I was visiting this restaurant since I am on vacation this place is one of the best Mexican restaurants I have ever been to. I got the grilled chicken chimichanga and it was wonderful. My whole family, of 4, enjoyed their meals. Defiantly a lot of food had to get two to-go boxes. 10/10 recommend this place for others. The prices are worth all of the food you get, not too expensive as other places around have similar prices. I will be back to try more stuff as the menu has a lot of options. read more

We waited a while for anyone to come to our table and while we waited we heard another person come up to the hostess and asked for service.... Once we finally had the waiter come to our table he was very nice and attentive. The food was average. I have had much better, but it wasn't terrible. I say average experience. read more

OWNER GUILLERMO-- there are so many bad reviews going back over a year. Same issues. You respond to them but nothing has changed. WHY? We waited over 1 hour for our appetizers and no food EVER came. We asked for the manager, and the manager NEVER CAME. We asked for our server. He NEVER CAME. We asked another server if she could help us and she asked us what we would like to drink. We said we had ordered our food an hour ago. She said that had a big party and they were backed up. we decided to leave and walked past our server on the way out the door. He shrugged his shoulders and said NOTHING. It seemed like they were dealing with the large party and take out orders. Who knows how long it would have taken to get our food. This place was totally a S&*T show. Avoid at all costs. They don't care at all about customer service. What are they doing there?? This is a restaurant. I would give zero stars. Sad. The place is on the canal and looks near but what is the point if you can't get food? read more

I loved it!! I had the Monarca Platter; it was a sampler with an empanada, enchilada, chili rellano and tamale. The tamale was amazing...best I've ever had! Everything was delicious! My fiancee had the Quesadilla Monarca Supreme. It was huge and he said very good! The restaurant itself is beautiful! The booths and chair are all carved wood. The wall decorations are awesome! The only minor complaint is that the music was a little loud. We were here in the late afternoon (after lunch, before dinner) so the restaurant was quiet, which made the music more noticeable. Despite the average reviews of this place, three of us decided to come here for dinner on a Saturday night. My first time here and it was so busy that there was a 10 minute wait for a table inside. Complimentary chips and salsa came to the table right away and our server was very friendly. We ordered a bowl of Queso Dip and the Guacamole which was made fresh at our table side. Both were very very good!! A HUGE 32 ounce draft beer was my choice and the fish bowl size margarita with the mini Corona inside the glass was hers. Two of us shared the Molcajete Supremo which was delicious and more than enough food for two people. It had steak, shrimp, chicken, cheese, green onions, jalapeño, Green peppers and chorizo. Came with hot flour tortillas wrapped in a napkin. We even had some leftovers to bring home! Great deal at $24 Our other guest ordered flautas with chicken and were reported to be excellent. I should have read the reviews of this place before I spent my money and spared my taste buds of low quality Mexican food. I ordered the burrito. Meat was flavorless and the quaso cheese that was poured on top looked and tasted brunt. Our server was very nice but blindly up charged me on my margarita. She failed to tell me there is a $2 up-charge on flavored margaritas. Had I know that, I would have never purchased the peach margarita she pushed on me. I hate when servers do that! On a positive note, the restaurant is in a great location. On the water and easily accessible from the main road. Will I return? Probably not. There are other gems in Cape Coral I want to try before I give this place a second chance. read more

We stopped here one afternoon because we were out on the boat in the canal and saw we could dock & eat there. We decided to dine on the patio that overlooks the canal. It was a Sunday afternoon & the restaurant wasn't busy at all. Our server was very prompt on bringing over menus & chips/salsa. I was a little taken aback at the menu because the prices were so high. I know we are on a canal but so is all of Cape Coral. Also you're right next to Del Prado so that's about all you hear on the patio. The chips were hot & the salsa had a sweet & hot flavor. I loved them. I could've sat there & just ate those all night. Back to the menu. I looked through & saw that most items were over ten bucks. An example would be a chicken quesadilla for 13 dollars. That's a lot for a quesadilla with basic chicken. If you want the quesadilla with shrimp, chicken & steak it'll set you back 16 dollars. Damn. That's what I decided to get & split with someone because I wasn't very hungry at the time, it being about 3:30pm. It took a while to get the food. We were there at the restaurant longer than we wanted to & boated back home in the dark. The quesadilla finally came & it was large, not huge. I personally don't think it merited the 16 dollar price tag. It was mostly chicken & some peppers. A couple shrimp & some steak. It tasted fresh but I found a small, hard piece of something burnt, almost like plastic. Maybe it was burnt cheese but gross nonetheless. Overall this place has some great chips & salsa, but they need to reevaluate their menu, lower prices or at least have a section with a la carte so someone who isn't that hungry can order a taco or something. read more

We should have looked at reviews first. We wanted to like this place. The staff was very friendly, our service was not to good but always with a smile. The atmosphere is a little throwback if you will. To start, the salsa was probably the most promising thing they had at least for my son. Hot salsa not good. The food all seemed fresh but tasteless. Fajitas were trio medley, shrimp severely over cooked and just so bland it was awful. Wife had Chimi, only reason it had taste was cheese and sauce, same for son's enchiladas. I in fact could not even eat mine, they took it off. I think they care about being good, I just can't imagine food so bland. read more

Had dinner here. Second worse margarita I've ever had. The mix had a chemical taste, no fresh squeezed anything . The worse was downtown Fort Myers at a Mex place there. Had enchiladas, the beef was good, cheese tasted like cheapest cheese off the Sysco truck. Rice was unseasoned and beans straight out of the can. I cannot recommend this place and it's sad, very nice on the inside and good location. Wait staff was friendly and service was good, reason for the 2 stars. Will not be back. read more
