    Cheesesteak

The service was good.. [[HIGHLIGHT]]the restaurant was very clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] unfortunately wasn't impressed by the food.. I got a sad, flavorless cheesesteak :( Tasted no seasoning, cheese was only on the bread.. and the bread really wasn't toasted.

This is a first ... a cookie review only! I absolutely love cookies! They are my kryptonite of desserts (along w ice cream/frozen yogurt) . As much of a huge chocolate lover that I am, my favorite cookies are actually butter and sugar! These cookies were lacking something and weren't sweet enough for my taste. The sandwich ones with raspberry in the middle were the best. I have t been to Glassboro in years - I wonder what the food here is like?

When Monarch first opened we loved it, especially for breakfast. We frequented it quite often for a while. Then, shortly thereafter, the pandemic happened and we took a hiatus from dining out. Since we got back into dining out frequently over the last year or so, we realized it had been a while since we went back to Monarch. So on a Tuesday night when I didn't feel up to cooking and it was getting late, we decided to take the short ride around the corner to Monarch. I ordered an Arnold Palmer ( my go-to) and my husband ordered an unsweetened tea. I decided to go with a patty melt and my husband did the corned beef Reuben, both diner classics. They used to have steak fries back when they first opened, which I loved, and I noticed the fries have changed, but both of our entrees were very good. The patty melt was gooey and greasy, which is basically what you expect when you order a patty melt. The burger was juicy and the bread had the perfect amount of crispness and buttery goodness. Despite being full and eating way more than I should have, my husband insisted on trying the carrot cake. We were both pleasantly surprised to discover they had nailed the cream cheese icing to cake ratio completely. Honestly it was arguably some of the best carrot cake we've had in recent years. The cake was also moist, which is a word I hate using but needed to be said because it's rare to find a carrot cake so perfect. Our server made a few minor mistakes, but honestly she's human and it's a diner. Overall, it was a great experience and we will be back.

The first thing that hit me when I entered this small, quaint little establishment was I felt like I was transported back to Mayberry of the 50's and 60's. Breakfast is served all day, and my western omelette with home fries, English muffins and crusty scrapple were delicious with my coffee and tomato juice. I guess the atmosphere lends to the friendliness of the patrons, who seem like neighbors you've known forever, especially the young toddler in a high chair I was playing peek a boo with around the partition that separated our booths. The little gem is a very inexpensive treat.

They have a bar and dj which seemed to draw in a nice mixed crowd. They made me a mocktail because I don't drink and it was yummy. The chicken parm was also good. The bad: both appetizers I ordered were disgustingly underwhelming. The cheesesteak fries were just bland and flavorless piled high with dry meat and cold cheese ... a waste of calories and money. The chicken tenders were flavored horribly and paired with a weird sauce. Im guessing if you're drunk you won't notice the terrible food. The waiter was nice but not attentive, he didn't notice I didn't eat anything and he didn't offer to replace or remove the items from the bill. I would suggest they limit the menu to less items that they can prepare well. If you enjoy drinks and bar food give it a try. Me Ill just stick with Lascalas across the street.

They always seem to have live music, karaoke etc. which is nice, but it's also probably too loud for a lot of people. There's pretty limited seating that is away from the loud music. Now there's a pool table in the backroom. Seems like they're trying to make some adjustments. Hopefully they know what they're doing with that. Seems like they're trying to adjust after a somewhat slow start. I'd come back, but there have been some hiccups so far.

We did order a side of french fries that was a huge portion and they looked like fresh cut and the skin was on the fries and everything was full of flavor and very fresh. We all agree that we can't wait to return and try more things on the menu. A lot of their dishes they can do dairy free or gluten-free. It was really great to have these options in place everything was very flavorful. The service was excellent and it seemed like they had a couple people that were training and shadowing other servers, but everyone was really chipper and really sweet. Five stars, no question…read more Landmark Bar and Grill was the spot when I was at Rowan University. Friday and Saturday nights, there was never even a debate; this is where you went with your boys to unwind, grab some drinks, and just enjoy the atmosphere. I even had professors telling us it "wasn't healthy" or whatever, but that didn't stop us. If anything, it made those nights even more memorable. After a long week of classes, Landmark was the perfect place to let loose, laugh, and just be in the moment. The vibe was always on point; energetic, social, and exactly what a college bar should be. Whether it was catching up, meeting new people, or just hanging out, it consistently delivered. It's one of those places that becomes part of your college experience, and honestly, some of my best memories from Rowan happened right there. I will certainly carry these stories for life.

People grow up. And so, apparently, do restaurants. Coming back now felt like walking into a familiar place with a new soul. The first thing I noticed was how much more pleasant the atmosphere has become. Friendly crowd, clean layout, and a vibe that says "stay a while" instead of "brace yourself." It's grown into something more refined, more welcoming--but still fun. While browsing the menu, I spotted something that sealed the deal: All You Can Eat Crab Night, offered Wednesdays and Sundays. That's what brought me out, and I'm glad it did. The crabs were fresh, hot, and seasoned just right. It wasn't one of those gimmicks where you wait forever between refills either. Our waitress was on point--quick with the next tray and even quicker with a smile. We ordered a bucket of beer, which made the whole meal that much better. No waiting on rounds. Cold beer, hot crabs, and no stress. That's the trifecta. It didn't surprise me to find out Landmark is owned by the same restaurant group behind Village Pub and Cinder Bar--two other solid spots known for doing things the right way. There's a consistency in quality and service that runs through all three. Bottom line? Landmark has grown up, and I'm glad I gave it another shot. If you haven't been in a while, now's the time to go back--especially on crab night.
