Yummy chorizo, egg, potato, and cheese burrito
    A. M.

Visiting family in Tucson and they took us to this Tucson favorite. What a wonderful place, the food was fantastic! The chicken tortilla soup was so tasty, and so was the chorizo burrito. We're glad we visited this gem. The service was perfect, and fast. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was quite and the weather was perfect for outdoor seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Next time we're in Tucson, we be back.

My friend and I came for breakfast, and weren't impressed. You order food at the counter. The cashier asked what I wanted then said repeated everything back as the opposite of what I ordered. The scrambled egg plate was 15.00 for frozen potatoes, a piece of bread and scrambled eggs. The eggs were overcooked and tasteless, my friend's bacon was undercooked. The coffee was terrible, and my cinnamon roll was just ok. The menu prices were way too high for a diner that doesn't even serve you at your table. We tried this place because the commercials we've seen on TV that make it look so good, but unfortunately, we won't be back.

Was un a rush and was going to go grab McDonald's due to being in a time crunch. Saw this gem out of the corner of my eye. The food was delicious, we also got a lemon bar which waS 10 out of 10. Stop here for a quick breakfast.. We got omlette with hashbrowns, ham and cheese croissant and coffee also. All delicious will be back!

Solid spot for a quick sandwich with fresh bread right out of the oven. Breakfast burritos are solid and the confectionary delights are sweet and delicious.

Very busy on a Saturday morning. It took maybe 10-15 minutes to wait in line and order. The food was alright but nothing exceptional. The French toast was fluffy but a little bland. The breakfast croissant was also great, but I felt like I make something similar at home. Hands down the best were the pastries. My favorite was the apple turnover.

Light creamy filling in the Chocolate Eclair.

Had breakfast here a couple of times and the croissants are worth the trip alone. I had a ham, cheese and egg breakfast sandwich on a croissant my first time and I also have enjoyed the quiche (spinach and feta). I tried a Danish last time -blueberry- buttery and flaky. This time I had a slice of Danish Kringle, which has an almond cream in it. So rich and delicious. The coffee is decent but the cappuccino was better. The woman at the counter is all business and gets the job done fast. Usually crowded in there but they do have lulls. Get there early to get a chocolate croissant and don't forget to try an eclair-they are the (cream) bomb. Pure decadence.

I've been there a couple of times. The first time was close to closing time when all you could get was pastries. This time around 1:30 and again just pastries but that was okay. The pastries are quite good. Three of us this time got some things. It is hard to choose as it all looks very good. I got the cannoli which was great. Nice flaky crust and delicious cream filling. One got the cinnamon roll that was huge and enjoyed it. In previous visit had almond cookie and lemon bar, both very good. It's good to know that they quit serving other food like the sandwiches and soup fairly early. They also serve breakfast. There is indoor and outdoor seating. I remember as a kid being told, "your eyes are bigger than your stomach" which could be good advice. Your eyes may tell you to get one of everything as plenty of temptations. Of course you can get things to go if you have the discipline to not eat it all at once.

Can't help but respond to those inner cravings for those cinnamon snail rolls. Consistent quality. Every. Time. I never regret going and have even had family members living out of state request these snail rolls to be brought on the next trip to see them. I always try new bakery items and enjoy them all.

Clockwise from top: lemon bar, French waffle, marzipan truffle, cheese danish

3.5/5 Mona's was rockin' the morning I came here to get some breakfast on Sunday! It was a little too busy and crowded for my Covid comfort if you know what I mean. Because it's a small space and there were too many waiting for their food I decided to just get some pastries to go. While I enjoyed the crisp and light texture of the pastries almost all of them were way too sweet for my tastes. The French waffle in particular was so sweet I could only take one bite. I did like the marzipan truffle though. The sweetness level of that dessert was alright and I enjoyed the almond flavor of the marzipan with the chocolate filling and chocolate dipped ends. Service was friendly and I had no problems with checkout. The pastries were packaged securely in a cardboard box.

A quaint, simple bakery. Variety isn't huge, but the quality is good. I'd come here more often if I still lived on this side of town.

However, I have to give 3 stars for the overall execution of my meal. I had a half of a Hammer sandwich which was about $8. It's ham, soppressata, cheese, lettuce, tomato, banana peppers, dijon, vinegar, oil, garlic sauce. Unfortunately, I felt that my sandwich came with skimpy toppings. I got a pretty thinly stacked layer of ham and 2 little ovals of soppressata. The cheese was barely present. I also would have loved more tomato. I got a good amount of lettuce and banana peppers, though! Unfortunately, I just couldn't taste the meat and cheese toppings super well due to their being not much of them on the sandwich. The flavor of all the other ingredients were good, though. My friend got the Scramwich on Foccacia for $14. Looking at it, I could also tell it had not much proscuitto. Upon further inspection opening one of the halves of the sandwich... it was definitely only a few little smaller pieces of proscuitto. (The other toppings were on the other piece of bread, don't worry, those were fine) Sorry for the ugly photo - hard to really capture it without dissecting the thing. I also just noticed while looking at the photo again that one of the pieces of arugula also had black spots on it... Definitely not very fresh. My friend still enjoyed the foccacia, sundried tomatoes, and other toppings, but also felt there wasn't enough proscuitto. For the price, I would hope for a sufficient amount of meat. Heard a lot of hype about Quisty's and I see great potential in their quality and concepts! With better execution I'd definitely consider coming back. It's just hard to justify paying as much as we did for sandwiches that were skimpy on arguably one of the most important toppings!
