I should have read the reviews being a new place for us to try. No description from the waitress about the bowl sizes or what to do. We asked for water and tea, awhile later we had to ask again and then a third time. We had to find our own napkins and utensils. Food was ok, waited which seems forever to even pay the bill. I love this place - the food is great, with lots of veggies, meats and sauces to choose from. The staff is friendly and everything is very clean and bright in the dining room. Mongolian BBQ is great because you are in charge of how the food is spiced - you can add various sauces to your meal so it is just the way you like it. If you are new to Mongolian BBQ or you're not sure what to try, they have a list of suggestions of different sauce combinations to add that you can try or ask the chef for more suggestions. The best thing is that it is so quick, you can walk in and be eating your food in 5 minutes. read more

Looking for vegan fare in an unfamiliar city is always fun, and Mongolian Bbq should be an easy choice. Yelp rated this establishment three stars, and I honestly can't believe it. My partner and I were the only customers in the restaurant, which should've warned us away. The food on the line was partially iced over, and the veggies looked like they were almost ready to throw away. I tried their recommended sauce combination and it was mediocre at best, and confusing and upsetting at worst. The rice that was served was cold (I don't mean cold in a comparative fashion, I mean like it was refrigerated). While we were eating, there was no music, or anything to add ambiance. Well, almost nothing, as the employees were swearing loudly at each other about who was to clean what, and if the mop water was too dirty to clean other things. The service was good initially, but we were waiting to pay after receiving the bill for far too long. We were literally the ONLY PAYING CUSTOMERS IN THE RESTAURANT! Is this a business or what? I doubt the food would've been better if I had chosen different sauces to add to my bowl, but it won't matter anyway because I'll never go back to this terrible restaurant. Thoroughly disgusted. Can't say enough bad about this place. Don't waste your money. The best thing I have to say about this place is that their food didn't make me physically ill. read more

Should have read the reviews before entering! By far the worst mongolian BBQ ive ever been to! Previous posters were right with the different bowl sizes, had no idea till the bill came. I mean aren't all MBBQS you go to all you can eat? They only offer wheat noodles, and had to tell them i couldn't eat it, because it tasted like I was eating cardboard. I asked if I could have rice instead and make a new bowl, she said yes. Small bowls of INSTANT RICE!!! Worst food ever! The waitress was super nice as were the cooks. Although there are people giving this place a positive review, don't waste your time or money. Poor excuses for options for veggies and frozen meats sliced to the thickness of one electron. The sauces are marked that they have to be cooked(and it's not worth the possible food poisoning, there is a major disconnect with the idea that the stations need to be cleaned and maintained) so you can't even taste them before you choose. I DRENCHED and FILLED the bowls with the sauces. What I got with sesame oil, brandy wine, and ginger sauce(the word "sauce" translates to water in Mongolian apparently). So I gave the cool my bowl and out comes the bottle of water and he unloaded the whole liter of water out on the grill. I realize they do that to keep it from burning, but the tidal wave washes out all the flavor. So I watched as wave after wave covered my food like a flavor removing tsunami. I got the bowl back, tasted it, and it tasted like nothing. I had to put salt and pepper on it to get myself to even eat it. Another tidbit(and I mean literal tidbits honestly) was the meats that were cooked but crumbled in to bits the size of cornmeal. So take your money and go somewhere else. I would have given any possible positive, but there weren't any. The service isn't even considered really since it is self serve. read more

All i can say is meh. The meat is frozen so it looks like freeze dried food. The sauces are so watered down than when the cooks, cook ur food and use water to make the food cook faster it just washes all the flavor out. And its spendy. 2.75 for a soda? Granted u get free refills but still expensive. And it was so hot in the place i was melting like there was no air-conditioning at all and the ceiling fans were not helping. And the veggies was somewhat fresh. This will be my first And last time. Washed out food, the cooks didn't clean the grill between orders so if someone had spicy food and u didn't guess what u do now bc the grill wasn't cleaned between orders. What happens if someone had a sea food allergy they would get sick or end up in the hospital. They did clean after they got all the orders done. And it was very loud. The food is all very fresh but the sauces are key i stack my bowl to the sky and put sauces in till the bowl won't hold anymore practically all the sauce's are good and there's such a selection you only have yourself to blame for how it taste's but i would get the biggest bowl and fill it to overflowing be sure to save the noodles to pile on last and take home the leftovers or get a second bowl to go it only tastes better the second day. read more

Went on a Saturday with friends for lunch. There were 3 other tables with customers so the place was quiet. It got busier later on. We were seen immediately by wait staff and had water and utensils (a fork wrapped in a paper napkin) delivered. The choices for veggies were varied, fresh and plentiful. Meat choices are chicken, pork and beef, sliced very thin and all appear to have been frozen previously, you can tell the meats are not top drawer. Tofu is offered for the vegetarian selection. The cooking sauce choices have posted recipes so you can follow the recipe of your choice exactly or you can customize ingredients to create your own version of your favorite sauce, with ingredients including garlic, lemon and orange water and sesame oil. It's nice to have the option to have as much or as little of any particular item you see offered. There are 3 bowl sizes available. I chose the large bowl which provided me with enough food for my lunch meal and leftovers enough for lunch the following day. Overall the meal was pretty good - it could be much better if the meats were better quality. The tables and chairs were clean and wait staff were pleasant, polite and very attentive to keeping the floors swept and tables wiped. We were "checked" on by staff regularly as well. The restrooms were clean, however, the floors appeared "tacky" as the soles of my sneakers sounded like they were sticking and bathroom countertops felt the same way. The cooktop grill area was clean and large fans over the cooktop did a fairly good job of venting heat and steam. Ceiling fans placed around the room provided nice air circulation for this super intense heat time of year. Overall, our experience was a pleasant one. If you are okay with less than top drawer meats, but like your veggies fresh and crisp, give this a try. read more

Stopping for a meal between lunch and dinner I was pleased to see the buffet line well stocked and maintained. The vegetables were crisp and meat appeared well chilled. The grill cook had good timing, giving me a plate with meat nicely cooked and vegetables slightly crunchy. I was disappointed the sauce flavors selected did not survive the grill. My dish was bland. I suspect the sauces are diluted and may require twice as much I used to achieve satisfactory results. I requested plum sauce and was disappointed by a strong ginger flavored plum sauce which I dislike. Not inclined to experiment further I used enough of the sauce to give the food a hint of flavor. The waitress was pleasant yet oddly rushed in a nearly empty restaurant. Compared with Mongolian grill restaurants in Eugene, Salem and Portland, I feel the price was somewhat high for the food I received. I'm not inclined to return during dinner prices however I may consider attempting a lunch meal if I have a craving for Mongolian grilled food. read more

I travel around a lot and always look for Mongolian BBQ wherever I go and when I find one, I'm so excited because it's not like they're everywhere. Yes, I've had others I liked better and their prices here are higher than I usually see, but for this area of Oregon, not totally out of line. I really liked it and have been back several times while visiting Medford. I think all the veggies and meat looked totally fresh and I managed to find a great combo of sauces to get them to taste like I like it. Service has always been great; as long as they bring my rice and keep my water refilled, I'm happy. I do wish they would include some kind of hot sauce in the line so you could include it before it's cooked. I asked about that and she suggested using the chopped jalapeno. But the slices were too big and I prefer the sauce cooking in with the rest of the stuff. There is hot pepper flakes and sauce on the table, so why not put some on the line? And yes, as others said, be careful, because there are three different size bowls and prices. read more

I've been coming here for years. The food is fresh, you pick what you want and put it in your own bowl, add your own sauces, and then they cook it for you while you watch. It's simple, but healthier than most other asian restaurants. Never crowded. Good for low-carb dieting. read more

Grab a bowl (you have the choice of 3 sizes), load it up buffet style with a selection of veggies, meats, etc. then watch them cook it in front of you on a giant stone grill. I really enjoy the food here, and the staff is always friendly. Stack your bowl high because the mix will shrink. I always have left overs, and it is always delicious. read more

The food is really yummy and can be healthy choice, the ambiance is not great we often get one large to go and share it that works the best. My husband & I stopped by this place, as I love Mongolian BBQ. We stood in line, picked out our food with the very choices they offer, and sat down to eat. I happened to look up above my table to see dirt, cobwebs and debris hanging off the air vents. It was absolutely disgusting! I immediately looked at the air vents above where the food is set and it was the same. We immediately asked for a refund and left. I will not eat there again! Eek, how nasty! read more
