Relaxing tea house with hangout vibes (still finding its rhythm) Stopped by Monstera Tea House and the first thing I noticed was how bright and airy the space feels. The interior leans minimalist -- lots of white, light wood tabletops, and green plant accents that match the "Monstera" name. It's a calm and comfortable space to sit for a while. They also have board games like chess, Uno, and Jenga, which makes it feel more like a casual hangout spot than just a quick grab-and-go tea shop. What I ordered: Peach Hibiscus tea with rainbow jelly 5 macarons (pistachio x2, vanilla, strawberry, and another flavor everything except caramel) Fried chicken tenders & fries combo They offer 10% off if you follow them on Instagram or Facebook, which brought my total to about $25. The Peach Hibiscus tea ended up being the highlight. It was refreshing and not overly sweet, and the rainbow jelly added a fun texture. I was a little disappointed they were out of boba, since that's usually my go-to topping. The macarons looked nice visually but the flavors didn't quite come through. The pistachio in particular tasted mostly sweet rather than having a distinct pistachio flavor. The shells were also a bit chewy with slightly uneven edges. The fried chicken tenders and fries ended up being the biggest issue. Two guests ahead of me had already been waiting around 30 minutes before I even placed my order. After ordering, it became clear the kitchen hadn't actually started the food yet. I could hear one staff member explaining to another how to make the tenders and mentioning that the process takes about 7 minutes total. Hearing that while watching orders sit unprepared made the delay a bit confusing. The couple ahead of me had ordered about 10 minutes before I did and still hadn't received their food either. The staff seemed to be enjoying themselves and chatting, which is great for morale, but the service side didn't feel very focused on getting orders out in a timely way. Eventually I decided to ask for a refund rather than continue waiting. I also noticed they sell $18 individual cakes that come in small square tins (similar to tiramisu containers). They might taste great, but visually they looked fairly simple, so the price point felt a bit high for what you see. Overall: The space itself is pleasant and the tea was refreshing. It's also nice that they provide games for people to hang out. Unfortunately, between the food delays, items being out of stock, and the feeling that the kitchen wasn't fully prepared yet, the experience ended up feeling like a lot of money spent without much payoff. Personally it's not a spot I'd return to, though the atmosphere may still appeal to people looking for a place to relax and play a game

Had a great experience at the Monstera Teahouse. Didn't try any of the food, but had a refreshing matcha drink and the service was quick and the barista was friendly. The ambiance is beautiful! Lots of pretty monsteras around (just as you would expect!) and plenty of seating available too. I was so surprised to see their extensive menu and was happy to see that it wasn't completely full with a long line, as it was the middle of the day. Will definitely be back to try new items on the menu. No problem with parking and it's a great location as there are a couple of gyms and spas nearby, so it's the perfect spot to get something refreshing after a day of sweating and working out. Will definitely be back!

Tried out this little spot in Tujunga today after seeing it on FB. It's super cute and cozy inside, and the staff is really sweet and friendly. However, be prepared to wait... There was only one associate working (7/11/26) and she's handling everything herself. She had good attention to detail but there was zero sense of urgency. She moved like we had all day to wait. I ordered two drinks and we've been waiting over 20 minutes now (ordered at 12:18 and received them at 12:45), and there was only two people ahead of us when we arrived, and they had also been waiting for their drinks. The drinks were super tasty but not worth the wait...

What a cozy little gem! This newly opened boba café has such a warm and inviting atmosphere -- the kind of place you just want to sit, relax, and stay awhile. The drinks were perfectly made with fresh, chewy boba and just the right level of sweetness. And the cake and desserts? Absolutely exceptional. So soft, flavorful, and beautifully crafted -- you can really taste the quality. The staff were welcoming and kind, which made the whole experience even better. Can't wait to come back for more sweet treats!

Huge thanks to Joselyn. She helped us so much with choosing the right drinks. I went with the Brown Sugar Coffee with boba. It was the perfect drink. Perfect coffee drink and not too sweet and fresh boba! The kids got mango and strawberry smoothies with boba and they loved it. Also the place looks so cozy and cute! Love all the fresh indoor plants. It makes the places so lively!

This place is under new ownership, from what the barista told me, and that they take care of their employees which makes me want to support this place even more. The ambiance is nice and the customer service is 10/10. I ordered the strawberry matcha which was okay. However the creme brulee cheesecake was phenomenal! I will definitely be back to try more drinks off their update menu!

The drinks and dream cakes are my fave but everything is really yummy! It's a family tradition where we get to hang out together, eat, and play games! The staff and owners are friendly and kind

If you're in East LA and craving boba, you have to check out Monstera. Hands down one of the best spots around--great flavors, quality tea, and their drinks are always on point. Definitely worth the stop!

Jasmin Jasmine Roasted Oolong Milk Tea

After visiting a nearby spa, I was in the mood for a milk tea and came across this cozy little spot. The shop is small and charming--perfect for a casual hangout with friends or a quick grab-and-go. The staff were attentive and very welcoming, which made for a pleasant first impression. I ordered the iced jasmine oolong milk tea. While I typically enjoy sweeter drinks, this one was a bit too sweet for my taste. The oolong flavor was strong and noticeable, but I couldn't quite pick up the jasmine notes I was expecting. Still, it's a solid option for tea lovers, and I'd be interested in trying other drinks from their menu next time.

The brown sugar milk tea and house viet coffee were very good drinks. Their summer special: mint mango honey dew was just ok (couldn't really taste mint or mango) so I suggest just ordering from their main menu. I like that there are so many real plants inside the store. Nice chill vibes. Would be great if they had some boardgames to borrow. Maybe I'll bring one next time! Parking lot hard to get to if you are trying to make a left turn into oncoming traffic. There's a parking structure right around the corner though and you can take an elevator up to the main floor. Structure is also accessible through the parking lot.

    Receipt for over priced junk

This place consists of overpriced/below average boba. I asked for 2 boba based drinks, matcha and brown sugar. I told the girl to make it about 50% less sugar. She didn't listen. She put the drinks in two separate cups. When I asked why she said "because my boss wants it that way." Never going back here. La Crescenta has a good one. Go there.

Inside was jazz music but it wasn't as air conditioned as I would have wanted. - Strawberry Matcha Soy 4.7/5 Could have more of a strawberry essence. When mixed it just tastes like matcha.

Brown Sugar Coffee. So incredibly good!
