First and last time I would ever order from here.. Ordered Thanksgiving Day dinner package for $149.99 plus tax... Senior citizen who didn't want to join family this year.. What a meal and I don't mean that in a complimentary way... The string beans were not almondine as advertised but had minced garlic probably from a jar in them... Not cooked enough.. I don't like veggies too soft and overcooked but these almost tasted fresh out of a bag... Now for the stuffing... Promised in ad sausage in stuffing.. Definitely hunted for some sausage but no luck. Turkey was definitely there but tasteless.. Never again!!!! read more

I was turned off by this place when I made a visit inside the store. The boys behind the food counter were on their cell phones typing with food service gloves on, the same gloves they serve and touch food/cold cuts with. They were never changed in between. Also their showcase was very bare with not many options. Customer service was ok though & their pizza dough & bread is priced good. But establishments being sanitary has always been a priority for me even before covid. I was very disappointed because I love Italian salumerias. read more

I had a family gathering and chose to order party food from montalbanos. I ordered meat balls, pasta, salad and chicken floritna. The food was perfect, my cousins normally do NOT like Pasta, they all ate two plates. The meatballs was PERFECT. I would order from there anytime, they have a little bit of everything. The also ordered 2 pts of Rice pudding which I get often from them. I highly recommend this place for any type of Food. read more

During this whole Coronavirus epidemic, it's hard to find food from a place you can trust. My wife and I were walking in, automatically, we're greeted at the door, "can we help you?" This is good to know in today's sanitary society because they're not just going to let anyone in. So, we got a few pieces of pork for dinner. Let me just say, that when I bit into that pork chop. It tasted fresh, flavorful, and delicious. We would definitely recommend it. read more

Love this place. Everything is always fresh and the lunch specials are on point. The people who work here are great too. You can tell this place takes pride in what they make and they dont cheap out on ingredients by getting anything less than the best. I love the old school butcher paper and paper shopping bags (hey, sometimes its the small things) I used to go to Miggies up the block; never again. My latest splurge here were some rib-eye steaks, which came out than better than any restaurant, highly recommended. Guys, keep doing what you're doing. read more

IWhere do i even begin...... Well for starter's the fact that it was early afternoon and the lights were barely even on (first red flag) and the place was empty....(mind you as previously stated early afternoon 1pm or so- second red flag) except for the fly buzzing the food being kept unrefrigerated on top of the deli case(third red flag and a serious health code violation as well). But i digress... the hero i ordered which couldn't be any easier to make- chicken cutlet,fresh mozz,roasted peppers and a lil balsamic vinegar ....was obviously the bane of the deli guy's (later to find out was the owner) very existence (fourth red flag) I opened the deli paper the sandwich was wrapped in, to find a freaking ecological disaster to say the least ....from one end on the deli paper to the other was covered in balsamic glaze included my whole entire hero! Not only on the inside of the hero but all over the outside as well! It literally looked like it had been dipped in motor oil! Now i don't mind balsamic glaze i actually quite like it...... but moderation is key! I asked for a lil and it was literally dunked in it for a lack of better words! The rosted peppers what few could be spared (i guess there's been an international shortage on roasted peppers)were barely even on the sandwich and out of can an blanketed in fresh parsley red flag #5) The chicken cutlets were cold thin and i wasn't offered the option of having them heated neither! The breading had a decent taste but the cutlets were so thin i could've read brail through them.... and the kicker the bread was at least a day old and could've been used as a movie prop to stand in for a rubber baton(red flag #7) To top it all off the incredibly rude worker who come to find out as also previously stated was the owner himself! Now i myself after slinging salami and hocking ham for well over 14 yrs as well as also baking bagels etc* would've never had treated someone like this no matter how rude they were!!!! And that's one of my main gripes...after spending nearly half of my life in the food industry........ i have the utmost respect and make sure that im courteous to everyone in the industry from the dish washer on up to the chef/cook I was nothing but respectful asked for a relatively simple order got treated like KING JERKOFF!!! And that's fine cause I'll never return to this establishment or it's other location either due to the quality or should i say the extremely lack of quality! read more

DISGUSTING. That's my one word description of this establishment. Their delivery is the worst part. One time, I ordered a cheeseburger for lunch to go. When I finally tried to eat it, my teeth tried to bite into this burger (hockey puck). It was horrible. Not to mention the time I got a moldy burger with a side of a raw sliced chicken cutlet. In conclusion I did not have a good dinning experience at Montalbanos. read more

Delivery to schools is terrible. Ordered chicken fingers and got a raw, thin cut chicken cutlet. Burger had mold as well. Cheese on cheeseburgers is usually burnt extremely. read more

Don't understand the appeal of this place. Ordered on 2 separate occasions and both times they screwed up! First time, they thinned out the chicken cutlets so much that they broke apart and second time, they gave me veal instead of chicken and roast beef that was marked ground beef. With all of the people working there, how they hey get it wrong so often???!!! Won't be shopping there again. My neighbors must like subpar items. read more

We order from here a lot at work. They have great lunch specials that come with a choice of a potato croquette or a rice ball and a drink for $7. I love the chicken cutlet panini with roasted red peppers, mozzarella and balsamic. So delicious and it's huge, you can split it or eat it two days in a row. I've only been in the actual store once, it had a large selection of Italian items and the people were friendly. read more

Very neat and clean pork store. Their meat here is very good. They have a lot of pre made pasta side dishes to snack on such as mushroom salad, antipasto and many more. There is a small staff but they are extremely helpful and nice. They also have another location on Bay Street. read more
