I'll preface by saying that I'm a vegetarian and it can be hard for me to find places to eat sometimes. This place offers a few options for vegetarians- bean and cheese, bean and rice, and egg and potatoe burritos. I was in the area touring apartments and found this place on yelp. At first glance I was a little hesitant just because it's attached to a gas station but don't let that deter you; It's clean and the food is good. I got the egg and potato burrito as well as bean and cheese burrito because they are pretty small. However, price is good- the two were 9.90 total. I suggest you get the sauce- it really added flavor to the burritos. Another plus was that customer service was good. The cashier said have a nice day to everyone and not sure how or why but when the question regarding tip was set to pop up on the iPad she passed it without a second thought which I appreciated. read more

Burritos were very good. I think they close at 2:00pm, so it's hard for me to get there often. If you are in the area and you like burritos, you should try them out. Solid burritos. Nothing to write home about but I'd certainly stop here before some place like Taco Bell. I got the south of the border and the montes burritos, both pretty good. Came out super quick too. And you can see them being cooked right behind the counter so you know these aren't cheap frozen burritos that they're heating and serving. I've been here a few times because the ratings are always so good but I've been disappointed with my breakfast burritos every time. I always add cheese for flavor to my egg and chorizo burrito but it's still flavorless. There's hardly any cheese added and barely any chorizo. This morning I could barely see it in my burrito. I used to come here often but took a little break and decided to order two burritos today. I got my regular barbacoa and added a chorizo, egg and potato burrito also. These are not the same burritos I used to enjoy. Both burritos tasted like nothing. The barbacoa was tender per usual but had minimal seasoning and the chorizo burrito was worse, unflavored eggs, sparse chorizo and the potatoes were not fully cooked. The green sauce was the only thing that made these burritos edible, they were very disappointing. I can't see myself going back unfortunately. read more

Montes hits the spot. It doesn't look like much as a little restaurant on the side of a gas station, but that's how you know it's going to be GOOD. I got the Carne Guisada Burrito with the "hot" green sauce. Service is super quick, my burrito came out within a couple minutes of ordering even though there was a line of people waiting. It came out piping hot, so be warned that you're definitely going to burn your hands and mouth if you're impatient about eating it like me. The burrito was simple, with just the carne guisada as filling and nothing else. The flour tortilla was soft and fresh and the meat inside was well-seasoned. It's good, I feel it always has been. But lately I've been noticing portion value more and more. Price gets bigger, portions get smaller. I think a Barbacoa burrito is $5.49. It's just not worth it. I could eat three for lunch or dinner and it would be approaching $20. Basic bean and cheese burrito is nearly $4.
